Men’s Money in the Bank Ladder Match

There are only a few certainties in life: death, taxes and complete mayhem during a Money in the Bank Ladder Match.

The annual free-for-all has produced countless unforgettable moments that have elicited deafening chants of “This is awesome!” from the WWE Universe, and several Superstars have parlayed a Money in the Bank Match victory into their first World Championship, making it one of the most exciting and important bouts on WWE’s calendar.

As is tradition, the winner of the chaotic encounter will earn himself a guaranteed World Championship Match anytime and anywhere within the next year. Alexa Bliss introduced Raw’s four combatants – Ricochet, Braun Strowman, Drew McIntyre and Baron Corbin -- during a special edition of “A Moment of Bliss.” However, on the final Raw before WWE Money in the Bank, Sami Zayn took Strowman’s place in the bout by defeating The Monster Among Men in a Falls Count Anywhere Match. Zayn’s win was thanks in no small part to the nefarious duo of Baron Corbin and Drew McIntyre, who repeatedly assaulted Strowman to give Zayn the victory.

The following night on SmackDown LIVE, it was announced that Intercontinental Champion Finn Bálor, Randy Orton and up-and-comers Ali and Andrade will represent the blue brand. Of this group, The Viper seized the coveted contract back in 2013.

Which Superstar will endure incredible pain, outfox the other seven competitors, pick the perfect time to strike and pull down the briefcase?

Women’s Money in the Bank Ladder Match

Competitors dangling perilously above the ring while perched atop ladders, death-defying stunts, a career-altering contract and general carnage? Sounds like the third annual Women’s Money in the Bank Ladder Match.

The yearly extravaganza will feature eight of Raw and SmackDown LIVE’s most daring female Superstars once again risking life and limb for the chance to secure a guaranteed championship opportunity anytime and anywhere in the following year.

Carmella won the inaugural contest, Alexa Bliss grabbed the briefcase last year, and each went on to cash in their contract to win the SmackDown Women’s Title and the Raw Women’s Championship, respectively.

As revealed by Bliss during the latest edition of “A Moment of Bliss,” Raw’s Naomi, Natalya, Dana Brooke and The Goddess herself were set to enter the treacherous contest. However, just a few days prior to the career-altering showdown, it was announced that Five Feet of Fury was not medically cleared to compete and would be removed from the contest. In her place would be Nikki Cross, who overcame fellow Money in the Bank Ladder Match competitors Natalya, Naomi and Dana Brooke in a Fatal 4-Way Match just days earlier on Raw.

On the SmackDown LIVE side of the free-for-all, it was revealed that Bayley, Ember Moon, Carmella and Mandy Rose will represent the blue brand in the Ladder Match.

With ladders scattered around the ring, who will conquer the opposition, climb the dangerous rungs, grab the Money in the Bank briefcase and capture the life-changing contract to earn an opportunity to challenge a World Champion anytime they wish in the next year?

Universal Champion Seth Rollins vs. AJ Styles

After Seth Rollins conquered The Beast at WrestleMania to claim the Universal Championship, two-time WWE Champion AJ Styles moved over to Raw via the 2019 Superstar Shake-up and emerged as the next challenger.

By overcoming the full fury of the nearly unbeatable Brock Lesnar on The Grandest Stage of Them All, The Architect showed the WWE Universe that he’s at the top of his game. Rollins had little time to celebrate his jaw-dropping victory, however, as several Raw newcomers and mainstays immediately locked Rollins in their crosshairs after the Shake-up. And out of the many would come something Phenomenal.

After confronting the Universal Champion along with several other Team Red Superstars, The Phenomenal One inched closer to a title bout by overcoming Rey Mysterio and Samoa Joe in a Triple Threat Match on the April 22 edition of the red brand.

Then, after Baron Corbin defeated The Miz and Drew McIntyre in a second Triple Threat Match, Styles bested The Lone Wolf in the same evening to earn the right to face Rollins for the Universal Title at WWE Money in the Bank.

A highly anticipated showdown between the two decorated Superstars promises to produce something truly special, as both come equipped with a unique, highly-effective arsenal and a desire to win at all costs.

WWE Champion Kofi Kingston vs. Kevin Owens

At WWE Money in the Bank, the Power of Positivity will clash head-on with the full brunt of KO’s wrath when WWE Champion Kofi Kingston takes on Kevin Owens.

For several weeks, with Big E recovering from injury, Owens stepped in as an honorary member of The New Day. His brief tenure as “Big O” ended unceremoniously, however, when he suddenly attacked both Kingston and Woods as the dust was settling on a wild post-match brawl at the conclusion of The Dreadlocked Dynamo’s matchup against Shinsuke Nakamura.

Both Kingston and Woods paid a huge price for their trust in KO as the vicious Superstar turned on the celebrated faction as fast as he had joined it. Without restraint, he leveled Kofi with a wicked superkick and chucked the titleholder into the barricade and ring post. Grabbing the WWE Title, he began screaming at Kingston that he hoped he and his kids enjoyed WrestleMania because the title would soon be his. When Woods attempted to stop the carnage, Owens also got the best of the already weakened Superstar with a brutal Apron Powerbomb.

Refusing to back down for a second, Kingston reemerged the following week to challenge Owens to a match at the May 19 pay-per-view, an invitation the nefarious Owens readily accepted.

Owens has made his statement: It’s a new day for KO … and the plans for that day only include winning the WWE Championship. Now Kingston will surely be out for payback – but will Owens prove that the new titleholder is truly over his head as WWE Champion?

Raw and SmackDown Women’s Champion Becky Lynch vs Charlotte Flair (SmackDown Women’s Title Match)

A mere 24 hours after Becky Lynch agreed to defend her Raw Women’s Title against Lacey Evans at WWE Money in the Bank, The Man decided she will also put her SmackDown Women’s Championship on the line against Charlotte Flair on the same night!

For the first time since battling Ronda Rousey and Charlotte at WrestleMania in a Triple Threat Winner Take All Match, Lynch came face to face with The Queen on SmackDown LIVE. As soon as they turned their attention toward facing off in another title bout, Bayley - who joined the blue brand via the Superstar Shake-up - emerged to issue her own challenge for the gold.

Charlotte and The Huggable One reignited their rivalry by facing off in an impromptu, seesaw collision to determine who would challenge The Irish Lass Kicker for the SmackDown Women’s Title, and The Queen narrowly defeated her longtime nemesis.

In a shocking turn of events, Lynch announced she would defend her championship against Flair on the same night that she puts her Raw Women’s Title on the line against Evans. Has The Man bitten off more than she can chew? Can she retain two titles in one night against such high-caliber Superstars, one a record eight-time Women’s Champion and the other a conniving competitor she has never faced?

The Miz vs. Shane McMahon (Steel Cage Match)

At WrestleMania, The Miz and Shane McMahon could not be contained by the ring or anything else, as they tore into each other with unbridled fury in a Falls Count Anywhere Match. At WWE Money in the Bank, it will be the exact opposite, as the two Tag Team Champions turned bitter rivals will clash in the brutal confines of a Steel Cage.

Not even a move to Raw by The Miz was enough to stop Shane — “The Best in the World” — from gloating over his continued abuse of The A-Lister’s father; despite taking a chair to the torso from Miz on Night One of the Superstar Shake-up, Shane interfered in Miz’s match with Bobby Lashley to cost The A-Lister the bout and continued to mock Mr. Miz on the TitanTron as he rained cheap shots down on the former WWE Champion. Deciding that he had unfinished business with the former SmackDown LIVE Commissioner, Miz laid down the Steel Cage challenge, and the match was later accepted.

Strategy-wise, the stipulation is a risky one for The A-Lister. With its high walls, a Steel Cage seems to favor Shane’s daredevilry, at least on paper. But Shane would do well to avoid thinking that a win is a foregone conclusion. Even The Best in the World is only as good as his last match, and Shane didn’t so much win that WrestleMania brawl as escape with the victory. With Miz angry, motivated and putting on some of the best matches of his career, Shane may well end up ruing the day he found himself with nowhere to hide.

Raw & SmackDown Women’s Champion Becky Lynch vs. Lacey Evans (Raw Women’s Title Match)

The Man is coming around at WWE Money in the Bank when Becky Lynch defends her Raw Women’s Championship against a very dangerous lady, Lacey Evans.

Lynch stood tall against incredible odds at WrestleMania, overcoming Ronda Rousey and Charlotte Flair to capture both titles in a Triple Threat Winner Take All Match. Since the moment she stepped off The Grandest Stage of Them All, Becky Two Belts has been well aware of the two large targets on her back and is ready to take on all comers; she didn’t have to wait long to find her next challenge.

After strutting up and down the entrance ramp for weeks, the bold Evans decided to make her move when she encountered the newly-crowed titleholder. During an episode of Raw, The Sassy Southern Belle turned in from her walk without warning and suddenly clocked Lynch in the jaw with the Woman’s Right, instigating a brawl all the way up the ramp that ended with The Irish Lass Kicker getting the upper hand by briefly ensnaring Evans in the Dis-arm-her.

The animosity continued the following night on SmackDown LIVE, when Evans once again stunned Becky with a sucker-punch before sauntering off while admiring her supposed lady-like work.

Armed with an ability to play politics and curry favor, Evans earned herself a Raw Women’s Title opportunity against Becky Lynch with her victory over Natalya the following week on Raw, setting the stage for an extremely intriguing matchup.

What will happen when The Man squares off against The Lady?

Roman Reigns vs. Elias

Roman Reigns is on a mission to tune up Elias when the two Superstars square off at WWE Money in the Bank.

As expected, this year’s Superstar Shake-up turned WWE completely upside-down, with the wildest moment arguably occurring at the end of SmackDown LIVE when the final Superstar to switch brands was revealed.

Heading into the second night, Mr. McMahon had promised the biggest acquisition in the show’s history, and the WWE Chairman delivered … Elias.

Before Elias could settle into his routine of insulting the WWE Universe and singing a disrespectful tune while strumming his guitar, Reigns suddenly emerged as the newest edition to Team Blue and put the exclamation point on his arrival by delivering the Superman Punch to Mr. McMahon and The Chairman’s favorite musical acquisition before nearly Spearing Elias out of his boots. After landing the two vicious strikes and drilling the songsmith with a bone-jarring tackle, The Big Dog grabbed the mic and declared SmackDown LIVE was his new yard.

Despite the ecstatic reaction from the WWE Universe, Mr. McMahon was not amused ... and neither was his son, Shane. Determined to even the score with Reigns, Shane-O-Mac challenged the former Universal Champion to a fight, but Reigns was suddenly blindsided by Elias. Despite Reigns' best efforts to fight off both of his foes, The Living Truth and Shane administered a two-on-one assault that left The Big Dog down.

Elias followed up by later challenging the black-clad Superstar to a match at the upcoming pay-per-view. Not surprisingly, Reigns happily accepted, and the stage is now set for an all-out brawl.

United States Champion Samoa Joe vs. Rey Mysterio

Former WWE Champion, World Heavyweight Champion, Intercontinental Champion, Tag Team Champion and Royal Rumble winner. Rey Mysterio has climbed countless mountains and seemingly done it all in WWE. Perhaps no honor would be sweeter, however, than winning his first United States Title from Samoa Joe at WWE Money in the Bank, especially since his son Dominick will be keeping a close eye on the championship fight at the May 19 pay-per-view, and winning the title would make The Ultimate Underdog a Grand Slam Champion.

At WrestleMania, Mysterio suffered a devastating one-minute loss to the vicious titleholder, as Dominick sat at ringside. Fueled with new resolve and a determination to prove that he still has what it takes to be a champion in WWE, the masked competitor returned to Raw and redeemed himself with a non-title victory in a rematch against the ruthless Joe.

Mysterio not only earned another opportunity at the U.S. Title with his victory, but a proud Dominick also met Rey at the top of the stage and hoisted his father up on his shoulders.

Will the masked legend finally conquer arguably the most vicious and sadistic Superstar in WWE and become a Grand Slam Champion?

WWE Cruiserweight Champion Tony Nese to battle Ariya Daivari

WWE Cruiserweight Champion Tony Nese will have the opportunity to continue his winning ways when he defends his title against Ariya Daivari in a bitter and highly anticipated contest at WWE Money in the Bank.

At WrestleMania, Nese lived his dream and defeated his former friend and training partner Buddy Murphy to win the WWE Cruiserweight Championship. A fighting champion, The Premier Athlete granted Murphy a rematch just two days later on 205 Live to prove that his victory was not a fluke. Even more recently, Nese defeated his former tag team partner Drew Gulak in non-title competition to again show that he was worthy of the championship.

However, The Premier Athlete has not been without potential challengers, and few are hungrier – and angrier – than Daivari. The Persian Lion earned a title opportunity after winning a Fatal 4-Way Match and defeating Oney Lorcan one on one, and he believes it’s his time to prove the naysayers wrong and dethrone Nese. With both Superstars boasting significant winning streaks, there’s no telling who will leave as champion.

SmackDown Tag Team Champions Daniel Bryan & Rowan vs. The Usos

At WWE Money in the Bank Kickoff, newly crowned SmackDown Tag Team Champions Daniel Bryan & Rowan will battle Jimmy & Jey Uso.

After The Hardy Boyz were forced to relinquish the SmackDown Tag Team Titles, Shane McMahon originally looked to hand the gold to Daniel Bryan & Rowan. Before he could bestow the titles upon them, however, Raw Superstars The Usos arrived via the Wild Card Rule and convinced Shane that Bryan & Rowan should have to earn the titles in a match against them.

During the subsequent battle for the vacant championships, Rowan withstood a barrage of superkicks and connected with the Iron Claw Slam to Jey that secured the three-count and the SmackDown Tag Team Titles for himself and The Planet’s Champion.

Ganha o The One and Only.

Mas o pre-show é às 11 e main-show à meia-noite, anyway.

Devo ver a primeira hora live e entretanto aterro.

Men’s Money in the Bank Ladder Match - a preferência vai para Drew, seguido de Sami e do Andrade

Raw and SmackDown Women’s Champion Becky Lynch vs Charlotte Flair (SmackDown Women’s Title Match) - Vai Becky e no final come cash-in

The Miz vs. Shane McMahon (Steel Cage Match) - Miz ganha sem espinhas

SmackDown Tag Team Champions Daniel Bryan & Rowan vs. The Usos - combate no fucks given
