WWE Champion Brock Lesnar vs. Drew McIntyre

It’s been more than a decade, but Drew McIntyre is finally on the verge of becoming “The Chosen One,” as Mr. McMahon once prophesized. The former 3MB rocker is now just one victory away from completing one of the longest and rockiest roads to WrestleMania glory in WWE history, as he has a chance to finish his journey by seizing the WWE Championship from Brock Lesnar.

Indeed, it seemed The Chairman’s prognostication would go unfulfilled when McIntyre left WWE in 2014, but he returned a changed man in 2017, sporting a rugged new look and a nasty mean streak. While a championship match on Raw eluded him in the early goings of his return, The Scottish Terminator seized the one surefire way to earn a title bout: win the 2020 Men’s Royal Rumble Match.

In a career-making performance, McIntyre tossed out six of his fellow competitors in the annual extravaganza and notched one of the most unforgettable eliminations in WWE history when he tattooed Lesnar with a Claymore Kick that nearly knocked him into the stratosphere.

Drew needed less than 24 hours to select which titleholder he wanted to challenge at The Show of Shows, as he vowed to defeat Lesnar at WrestleMania.

The Beast Incarnate landed the first big blow on The Road to WrestleMania, however, as he attacked McIntyre and brutalized his new challenger after the Royal Rumble winner defeated Luke Gallows & Karl Anderson in a Handicap Match.

Despite never-ending criticism from the WWE Universe and his fellow Superstars, Lesnar remains the most dominant competitor in the business. In case anyone had forgotten, Lesnar defeated Kofi Kingston in just eight seconds to take the WWE Championship and racked up a record-tying 13 eliminations in this year’s Royal Rumble before being met by McIntyre’s boot.

Will Lesnar remind everyone why he is the most feared fighter on the planet, or will McIntyre at long last seize championship glory at The Showcase of the Immortals?

Universal Champion Goldberg vs. Roman Reigns

At WrestleMania, it will be the ultimate battle of Spears as the two-time Universal Champion Goldberg will go head-to-head with Roman Reigns.

Hungry to reclaim the Universal Championship, Goldberg returned to the squared circle in order to challenge “The Fiend” Bray Wyatt at WWE Super ShowDown and ultimately handed the monstrous titleholder his first loss on the back of four earth-shattering Spears and the Jackhammer.

There is no rest for the furious, however, especially when you’re dropping the gauntlet inside The Big Dog’s yard. Less than 24 hours after winning the title, the WWE Hall of Famer returned to Friday Night SmackDown with one simple question: “Who’s next?” Ask and you shall receive.

Always ready for a fight, Roman Reigns boldly emerged to answer Goldberg’s challenge head-on, setting the stage for a major showdown on The Grandest State of Them All. Fresh off his victory over adversary King Corbin inside a Steel Cage at WWE Super ShowDown, the 4-time World Champion was more than ready to relaunch his pursuit to get back to the top of the mountain. Time-and-time again, he has proven that he’s willing to go through the best to capture gold.

Indeed, there is no better place for an epic clash between Goldberg and Reigns than on The Showcase of the Immortals.

The Undertaker vs. AJ Styles

The Undertaker will once again rise to step onto The Grandest Stage of Them All for a highly personal showdown against AJ Styles.

At WWE Super ShowDown, moments after The O.C. took out Rey Mysterio in an attempt to help Styles win Tuwaiq Mountain Trophy Gauntlet Match, The Deadman suddenly emerged and took down The Phenomenal One to seize the honor. Then at WWE Elimination Chamber, Undertaker again emerged to pave the way for Styles to be defeated by Aleister Black in a No Disqualification Match.

Back on Monday Night Raw, an irate Styles showed major disrespect for The Demon of Death Valley by vowing to take The Deadman’s soul. In a message to The Undertaker that got personal, Styles declared The Undertaker has desecrated a beautiful moment at WrestleMania 33 by continuing to compete for the past three years, implied he was at the beck and call of his “conniving” wife, Michelle McCool, and promised to put the final nail in The Deadman’s coffin by challenging him to a match at The Showcase of the Immortals.

During a contract signing on the March 16 edition of Raw, Styles appeared from the backstage area to mock his adversary and put pen to paper, but he refused to meet The Undertaker in the ring. Instead, he sent his O.C. mates to the squared circle to deliver the contract to The Deadman, who brutalized Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson before signing the dotted line. The following week on Raw, the brazen Styles once again mocked The Last Outlaw and challenged him to a "Boneyard Match."

Can Styles overcome The Undertaker at the event that made a Superstar into a Phenom?

John Cena vs. "The Fiend" Bray Wyatt

At WrestleMania, it will be “you can’t see me” against the horror most Superstars hope you’ll never see. John Cena is set to return to The Showcase of the Immortals for what promises to be an incredible showdown against “The Fiend” Bray Wyatt.

The WWE Universe has witnessed Cena compete in a slew of classic WrestleMania matchups against some of the squared-circle’s most iconic Superstars, from The Undertaker to Triple H to Shawn Michaels to The Rock. But, just when it seemed as if the 16-time World Champion may have fought his final battle on The Grandest Stage of Them All, HE was there to pull him back in.

"The Fiend" Bray Wyatt emerged on the ramp and pointed to the WrestleMania sign, setting up the ultimate battle of good vs. evil at The Show of Shows. Save for a single loss to Goldberg at WWE Super ShowDown, the monstrous competitor has been virtually unstoppable against some of the best WWE has to offer. Wyatt made a proposal for home field advantage against The Cenation Leader, too, with an offer to compete in an anything but ordinary Firefly Fun House Match. Will Cena accept the unusual proposal?

Edge vs. Randy Orton (Last Man Standing Match)

Edge’s return to WWE went from idyllic to catastrophic in 24 hours thanks to Randy Orton. But a chance for retribution will come when they go one-on-one on The Grandest Stage of Them All in what figures to be a barbaric Last Man Standing Match.

The Royal Rumble played host to a storybook comeback for Edge, who shocked the world when he entered 21st in the eponymous match. Receiving a raucous reception, the WWE Hall of Famer racked up three eliminations and lasted nearly 24 minutes before being the second-to-last man eliminated in his first competition in nine years after retiring due to a neck injury.

Glowing in the palpable electricity from the crowd the next night on Raw, The Ultimate Opportunist declared he was back to end his career on his own terms. He was met by Orton — whom he eliminated from the Rumble — and The Viper proposed a possible reunion of their Tag Team Championship-winning duo known as Rated-RKO.

But Orton suddenly dropped him with a vicious RKO, following through with a steel chair Con-Chair-To that was especially heinous even by Orton’s standards, and left everyone in attendance disgusted and shocked.

When Edge’s wife, fellow Hall of Famer Beth Phoenix, provided a medical update the next month on Raw, she too was interrupted by Orton. The Viper finally explained his vicious attack, insisting that he was merely saving his former tag team partner from further injury and deriding Phoenix as an “enabler.”

Responding with a slap when Orton maintained that he loved Edge more than she ever could, Phoenix too received an RKO.

The Apex Predator finally received a dose of his own medicine when he was taken out with an RKO by an incensed Edge the next week. Orton escaped further damage, but not before The Rated-R Superstar sent him a message by channeling his rage into a steel chair-assisted RKO and two Con-Chair-Tos to MVP — and he later followed that by extending his challenge with a Last Man Standing stipulation, which Orton accepted on the March 23 edition of Raw.

Edge’s first singles bout since 2011 comes under circumstances that are beyond personal, but will Orton prove that it was a mistake all along?

Raw Women’s Champion Becky Lynch vs. Shayna Baszler

Anyone who was familiar with Shayna Baszler and her dominant run in NXT was well aware that The Queen of Spades had a mean streak, but no one was ready for what happened when she hit the scene on Raw.

Not only did The Submission Magician mercilessly attack Raw Women’s Champion Becky Lynch from behind, but she sank her teeth into the back of Lynch’s neck, resulting in one of the grisliest scenes in recent WWE history.

Seemingly fired up by Shayna’s savage attack, The Man began clamoring for Baszler to win the Elimination Chamber Match to set up a WrestleMania showdown between the two combatants, and Becky soon got her wish. When Baszler entered the Elimination Chamber, she tore through her fellow competitors with tornado-like efficiency by decimating everyone in her path and elminating all five of her opponents to claim the victory and punch her ticket to The Show of Shows.

Against all odds, Lynch has remained Raw Women’s Champion ever since defeating Charlotte Flair and Ronda Rousey in the main event of WrestleMania 35. Over the past year, she has turned back the likes of Lacey Evans, Natalya and Asuka in several instant classics, all while retaining the massive chip on her shoulder that first led her to championship glory.

While this will be the first one-on-one meeting between The Man and The Queen of Spades, the two Superstars actually collided several months ago in the Survivor Series main event, a Champion vs. Champion vs. Champion Match that also featured Bayley. Baszler emerged victorious, but Lynch got the last laugh when she drove Shayna through an announce table after the bout.

Will the savage Baszler knock Becky from her perch? Or Will The Man once again reach down to topple another deadly opponent?

SmackDown Women’s Champion Bayley vs. Sasha Banks vs. Lacey Evans vs. Tamina vs. Naomi (WrestleMania Fatal 5-Way Elimination Match)

At WrestleMania, SmackDown Women’s Champion Bayley will have her hands full when she battles four Superstars in a Fatal 5-Way Elimination Match on The Grandest Stage of Them All.

Recently, the outspoken duo of Bayley and Banks came before the WWE Universe to proclaim that no one past, present or future would touch them in the squared circle. They also had the audacity to state that the Women’s Evolution is over and that the self-proclaimed Role Models' Era of Dominance has begun.

Those claims did not sit too well with many female competitors. Paige, one of the true pioneers of the groundbreaking Women’s Evolution, made a jaw-dropping announcement on SmackDown. As a result, she got the titleholder and The Boss to scream for her when the former SmackDown General Manager used her clout to establish a SmackDown Women’s Title Match at The Showcase of the Immortals in which Bayley will take on, not only her best friend Sasha, but also Lacey Evans, Tamina and Naomi.

Find out who will emerge from the chaos with the SmackDown Women’s Championship at WrestleMania.

NXT Women’s Champion Rhea Ripley vs. Charlotte Flair

For the first time ever, a Royal Rumble winner will use their title opportunity to challenge for an NXT championship on The Grandest Stage of Them All, as 2020 Women’s Rumble Match victor Charlotte Flair will face NXT Women’s Champion Rhea Ripley at WrestleMania 36.

Flair outlasted 29 other competitors to win the Royal Rumble Match, but decided to take her time in deciding which champion to challenge in Tampa, despite Ripley calling The Queen out shortly after the Rumble. But while all past Rumble winners have chosen to go after a Raw or SmackDown championship, The Queen could not help but once again make history.

In choosing to face Ripley, Flair is heading back to her past. The Queen was the second Superstar to capture the NXT Women’s Championship after defeating Natalya in the finals of a 2015 tournament. She held the title for 258 days, helping to usher in WWE’s Women’s Evolution alongside Sasha Banks, Becky Lynch and Bayley in the process. After leaving NXT, Charlotte went on to become the most decorated female Superstar in WWE history, becoming a 10-time Women’s Champion.

But to add a second reign to her incredible resume, The Queen will have to topple a Nightmare. Rhea Ripley has been dominant since bursting onto the scene in WWE. The fierce Australian brutalized the competition on her way to the final four in the 2018 Mae Young Classic, then became the first-ever NXT UK Women’s Champion.

In recent months, The Nightmare became undeniable. First, Ripley helped lead the NXT takeover of Raw and SmackDown ahead of Survivor Series, even pinning Flair in a Triple Threat Match. Then, she guided her squad to victory in the first-ever Women’s WarGames Match before captaining Team NXT to victory in the Survivor Series Women’s Elimination Match by planting Sasha Banks into the canvas with a thunderous Riptide to seal the win. The biggest feather in Ripley’s cap, however, came on the final edition of NXT in 2019 when she captured the NXT Women’s Championship by defeating the seemingly unbeatable Shayna Baszler, ending The Submission Magician’s 416-day reign as champion.

Flair continued to tease Ripley and the NXT Universe, even catching a beatdown from Ripley and Bianca Belair in the process. But before Ripley could turn her full attention to Flair, she had to get through her title defense against The EST of NXT at TakeOver: Portland. The Nightmare was successful, but was soon ambushed by Flair, who said she had finally made up her mind, and would see Ripley in Tampa. The Queen then dropped Ripley with Natural Selection, and slammed Belair into the steel ring steps, for good measure.

Who will reign supreme when these two ruthless competitors go head-to-head for the NXT Women’s Championship on The Grandest Stage of Them All?

bLF4zQwl.jpg
Kevin Owens vs. Seth Rollins

There’s an argument to be made that Kevin Owens was, perhaps, always going to accept Seth Rollins’ offer of a one-on-one match for WrestleMania. But The Show of Shows’ last-minute venue change to the WWE Performance Center made the decision even easier.

As Owens explained, the PC is the former Universal Champion’s “home turf,” the place where he defied the odds and the naysayers to make lifelong memories and forge his destiny as a WWE Superstar. Given that Rollins continues to disparage Owens’ skills and question his viability as a Superstar, there is perhaps no better place for KO to take on the man who fancies himself a savior of the industry.

Rollins, of course, comes from the PC as well. He is famously the first-ever NXT Champion. But while these men passed through the same doors, they are not necessarily cut from the same cloth. Rollins has taken to delusions of grandeur and a brutish squad to help him enforce his self-proclaimed revolution — a strategy that has more than paid dividends and left Owens scrambling to catch up. But nothing motivates a fighter like hometown pride. Owens seems to have found it, and if he has his way, WrestleMania will be one more doubter proved wrong and one more memory made sweet.

Intercontinental Champion Sami Zayn vs. Daniel Bryan

Daniel Bryan looks to return to glory on The Grandest Stage of Them All when he uses the knowledge of Drew Gulak to help him challenge Sami Zayn for the Intercontinental Championship at WrestleMania.

Following their hard-fought battle at WWE Elimination Chamber, Daniel Bryan and Drew Gulak both discovered that they could learn a lot from each other, but Sami Zayn, Cesaro and Shinsuke Nakamura took offense to their new alliance because Bryan had previously rejected their offer to join their ranks.

After weeks of turbulent conflict filled with in-ring action and attacks after the bell, WWE’s “Yes!” Man challenged Sami to an Intercontinental Title Match at WrestleMania. But the only way Zayn would agree was if Gulak first overcame Nakamura on the blue brand, a task Gulak accomplished in tactical fashion.

Will Bryan take down Zayn to once again capture championship gold?

SmackDown Tag Team Champions The Miz & John Morrison vs. The Usos vs. The New Day (Triple Threat Ladder Match)

At WrestleMania, The Miz & John Morrison will be forced to defend the SmackDown Tag Team Championships against The Usos and The New Day in a highly anticipated Triple Threat Ladder Match.

After surviving five teams in the SmackDown Tag Team Title Elimination Chamber Match, a very confident Miz & Morrison were on top of the world, boasting that they had bested all their competition and openly mocking the blue brand’s tag teams. They were met with a curveball, however, when it was announced that Kofi Kingston & Big E would go head to head with Jimmy & Jey for the right the challenge the outspoken titleholders at The Showcase of the Immortals.

In the subsequent high-stakes showdown, Miz & Morrison couldn't help but insert themselves into the action. While the titleholders assumed that they had knocked both tandems out of the running, it was instead determined that Miz & Morrison would face both The Usos and The New Day at The Show of Shows in a Triple Threat Ladder Match!

Raw Tag Team Champions The Street Profits vs. Austin Theory & Angel Garza

The Street Profits have taken their game to another level since becoming Raw Tag Team Champions, but at WrestleMania, they’ll have to fend off challengers that know a thing or two about winning gold when they defend against Austin Theory & Angel Garza.

Montez Ford & Angelo Dawkins passed their first test as champions, again overcoming Seth Rollins & Murphy in a rematch at WWE Elimination Chamber after dethroning them six days earlier on Raw.

Originally, Garza was primed to team up with United States Champion Andrade, but on the March 30 edition of Raw, Zelina Vega announced that Andrade wasn't medically cleared to compete, and she chose Theory to take his place.

Garza is a former NXT Cruiserweight Champion, and the presence of Zelina Vega also figures to be a factor, as La Muñeca is always a threat to tip the scales in her clients' favor.

Who will emerge as Raw Tag Team Champions?

dTAVny0l.jpg
Elias vs. King Corbin

Elias will look to change King Corbin’s tune when the two collide on The Grandest Stage of Them All.

On the heels of the monumental announcement that he will host the two-day WrestleMania event, Rob Gronkowski arrived on the the Match 20 edition of SmackDown and was interrupted by King Corbin. As Corbin got in the face of The Gronk and his friend Mojo Rawley, Elias emerged to mock the outspoken monarch with a song he had been trying to play for weeks. When The Gronk and Rawley laughed at the ridicule, Corbin got in their face and ended up on the canvas. And after Elias helped send Corbin packing, the host of WrestleMania advocated for a match between Elias and Corbin at The Showcase of the Immortals.

UPCmrtxl.jpg
Aleister Black vs. Bobby Lashley

Two Superstars looking for a fight. A rivalry nobody saw coming. And one stage big enough to host it. In one of the most intriguing matchups of WrestleMania season, Aleister Black will go one-on-one with Bobby Lashley at this year’s history-making edition of The Showcase of the Immortals.

While the two have had little to no interaction of late, they make perfect sense as opponents. Black has made it clear in recent weeks that he’s no longer willing to wait for fights to come to him, opting to seek out matches with anyone on Raw who’s unwise enough to take them. Likewise, Lashley has reintroduced himself in a major way, transforming from wife-stealing Casanova to human wrecking machine in a matter of weeks as a way to bulldoze his way back into title contention.

In other words, this match is a classic case of two people looking to make a statement, with each suddenly the other’s biggest roadblock to the next level. And now, like the classic math problem, these two trains are on a collision course, with WrestleMania as the shared destination. Sometimes, it’s just that simple.

Otis vs Dolph Ziggler

So… what was up with that text message?

Otis, the fun-loving big man, was on cloud nine and even more jovial than usual after scoring a Valentine’s Day dinner with Mandy Rose, only to receive a mysterious text – supposedly from Mandy – that said she was running late.

The Golden Goddess arrived on time, however, and when Otis finally got to the restaurant with flowers in hand, Dolph Ziggler had taken his spot at the table. Without saying a word, a crestfallen Otis dropped the bouquet and silently exited.

That seemingly innocent text message led us down The Road to WrestleMania and to a place where Otis is heartbroken, Mandy is with Dolph, and The Showoff is (somehow) more arrogant than ever. Even with Mandy on his arm, The Showoff has taken wicked delight in kicking Otis while he’s down by ridiculing the Blue Collar Strong Superstar and even using the TitanTron to display pictures of himself and Mandy while Heavy Machinery was competing in a tag team match.

Seemingly ready to explode on the March 27 edition of Friday Night SmackDown, Otis stormed Ziggler in the backstage area, but WWE officials and Tucker held him back. After a wild shouting match, The Showoff challenged Otis to a bout at WrestleMania, and Otis immediately accepted!

Win, lose or draw, will Otis get the storybook ending and win Mandy’s heart? Or will The Showoff continue to have the upper hand on his nemesis?

WWE Women's Tag Team Champions The Kabuki Warriors vs. Alexa Bliss & Nikki Cross

At WrestleMania, Alexa Bliss & Nikki Cross will attempt to reclaim the WWE Women's Tag Team Championship from Asuka & Kairi Sane.

It was WWE Hell in a Cell 2019 when The Kabuki Warriors captured the WWE Women's Tag Team Titles from Bliss & Cross, after Sane distracted Bliss outside the ring and Asuka blew green mist in Nikki’s face.

When Bliss returned to action in November to reunite with Cross, their tandem seemed stronger than ever. It was only a matter of time until they once again crossed paths with the team that took their titles. The duo was still chomping at the bit to get an opportunity at The Kabuki Warriors when Asuka emerged and cost them a match against the first-ever WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions Bayley & Sasha Banks on the March 13 edition of Friday Night SmackDown. Then, after weeks of mind games and personal attacks, Bliss reigned supreme over Asuka one-on-one, as Cross joined guest commentary and insisted all the while that she and The Goddess of WWE were the greatest WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions of all time. Now, the stage is set at The Show of Shows to find out if that is, in fact, true.

É a mentalidade do "Show must go on" que o Vince gosta muito.
