El Colosso Publicado 29 Setembro 2025 August 2018 We can confirm that Rey Mysterio has signed a multi year deal with WWE. He is reportedly going to be earning into the 7 figures on this new deal, which is a bit of a surprise given his age. WWE has also signed 8 wrestlers to developmental deals. Myles Kayman (20), Josh Bodom (27), Ben Basden (19), Kenny Williams (27), Chris Tyler (27), Rob Lias (23), Rory Coyle (22), James R. Kennedy (26) and Cassius (24) will all be joining NXT:UK. It appears that WWE has not just raided the British scene. Timothy Thatcher, El Lindaman, Dan Barry, Peter Avalon and John Silver have all signed contracts with them. Eddie Kingston has signed an Exclusive Deal with iMPACT!, for the next 2 years. - This weekend we will have the biggest independent show in American Wrestling history, with All In. Ticket sales are very strong and they are expecting around 11 thousand people in attendance at the Sears Center in Chicago. Just as a reminder, here is the card. Best Friends vs SCU Portia Perez and Nicole Matthews vs Britt Baker and Chelsea Green Eddie Kingston vs Adam Page - Hardcore Match Bea Priestley vs Amazing Kong Jay and Mark Briscoe vs Flip Gordon and Jay Lethal Kazuchika Okada vs WALTER Cody vs Hiroshi Tanahashi Kenny Omega vs Penta El Zero Miedo Rey Fénix, Rey Mysterio and Bandido vs The Golden Elite Big Events Results for August WWE Summerslam The Riott Squad beat The IIconics (50) Carmella © beats Ruby Riott by DQ - Smackdown Women’s Title (57) Gable & Roode © beat The B-Team - RAW Tag Team Titles (64) Brie Bella beats Natalya (55) Andrade “Cien” Almas, Karl Anderson and Doc Gallows beat Buddy Murphy & The Usos (73) Sasha Banks beats Mickie James and Bayley (69) Alexa Bliss © beats Trish Stratus - RAW Women’s Title (68) Team Hell No beats The Hardy Boyz (80) Shinsuke Nakamura © beats Xavier Woods, Samoa Joe and Cesaro - United States Title (72) Ronda Rousey beats Becky Lynch and Asuka (78) Dolph Ziggler © beats Big E - Intercontinental Title (75) AJ Styles © beats Seth Rollins - WWE Title (89) NJPW G1 Climax Manabu Nakanishi & Roppongi 3K beat Youta Tsuji, Toa Henare & Ayato Yoshida (58) Bullet Club Firing Squad (Taiji Ishimori and GoD) beat Tiger Mask IV and Mega Coaches (59) Lis Ingobernables de Japón (EVIL and SANADA) beat The Young Bucks © - IWGP Tag Team Titles (73) Kazuchika Okada beats Bad Luck Fale (83) Minoru Suzuki beats Toru Yano (66) Kota Ibushi beats Tetsuya Naito (99) Jay White beats Jushin Thunder Liger (76) Kota Ibushi beats Jay White (94) Minoru Suzuki beats Kazuchika Okada (94) Chris Jericho © beats Tomohiro Ishii - IWGP Intercontinental Title (79) Kota Ibushi beats Minoru Suzuki to win the G1 Climax (99) Hiroshi Tanahashi beats Hiroyoshi Tentaz (82) NXT Takeover Dakota Kai beats Vanessa Borne by DQ (55) EC3 & War Raiders beat Otis Dozovic & Lorcan & Burch (60) Shayna Baszler © beats Tegan Nox - NXT Women’s Title (52) The Undisputed Era © beat Kassiius Ohno & Lio Rush by DQ - NXT Tag Team Titles (68) Lars Sullivan & Fabian Aichner beat Steve Cutler & Keith Lee (62) Bianca Belair beats Kairi Sane (73) Adam Cole © beats Montez Ford - NXT North American Title Tommaso Ciampa © beats Velveteen Dream in a First Blood Match - NXT Title (64) Io Shirai beats Nikki Cross (69) AAA TripleMania XXVI Lary Maravilla beats Keyra (47) Mary Apache beats Lady Shani, Big Mami and La Hiedra (48) Mamba, La Parka & El Hijo del Vikingo beat Argenis, Cuervo & Escoria (66) Chik Tormenta beats Faby Apache © - Reina de Reinas Title (49) Black Taurus and Chessman beat Máximo & Flamita (63) Vampiro, Rey Escorpión and El Texano Jr. beat Mr Águila, Terry Hart and Extreme Tiger (66) Aerostar and Laredo Kid © beat Carta Brava Jr. & Dave The Clown - World Tag Team Titles (66) Pimpinela Escarlata, LA Park & Pagano beat Puma King, Averno & Bandido (64) Fénix beats Pentagón Jr. by DQ (81) Rey Wagner beats Jeff Jarrett © and Psycho Clown - Mega Championship (66) Compartilhar este post Link para o post
El Colosso Publicado 29 Setembro 2025 All In Report sent bt cmpunkfan4ever on DVDVR The broadcast starts with Excalibur, Shane Douglas and Taz, who I guess are our announcers for tonight. They run down the card and promise a great night of independent professional wrestling. (58) Match 1: Best Friends vs SCU A nice fun match, Cassidy did his “I am lazy and I really don’t care stuff” that got pretty over with the crowd. However, it was SCU that ended up picking up the win after 15:10 (65) Match 2: Portia Perez and Nicole Matthews vs Chelsea Green and Britt Baker This is Portia’s first match in nearly 3 years, she was thought to have retired with a pretty bad neck injury but it appears to be fine now. Portia and Nicole are Shimmer legends and they basically built that company on their backs, so it was pretty nice to see them get a spotlight here. Chelsea Green is more known right now for her pretty solid run in Lucha Underground and Britt Baker is her traditional tag partner. Portia and Nicole pick up the win in 12:51. (67) After the match, Portia and Nicole cut a skating promo, saying that they haven’t teamed up in 3 years and there is still no tag team on their level. Mic work was always their strongest point and they delivered here. (75) Match 3: Eddie Kingston vs “Hangman” Adam Page - Hardcore Match There was some doubt if IMPACT would allow Eddie to be here after he signed a deal with them, but he showed up. A pretty fun brawl between Page and Kingston, that ends after a barbed wire assisted Buckshot Lariat in 13:18 (71) Match 4: Bea Priestley vs Amazing Kong Bea is not one of the top independent women wrestlers in the world and well, Kong is Kong. A pretty fun “Big Woman vs Small Woman” match that ends after Kong hits a Flying Splash after 6:56 (66) Match 5: Briscoe Brothers vs Flip Gordon and Jay Lethal Flip and Jay have been feuding recently in both ROH and in Being The Elite, and they played up that story here against the Briscoes. The end comes when Lethal is going for the Lethal injection on Jay, Mark replaces him with Gordon, allowing the Briscoes to pick up the win in 8:47. (70) Match 6: Kazuchika Okada vs WALTER After this match was announced, I said that this could very well end up MOTN. And I think that I might have been right. WALTER, despite his size, moves incredibly well and has an infinite gas tank and Okada is, well, Okada. A very good back and forth match that ends in a time limit draw after 30 minutes. (82) Match 7: Cody vs Hiroshi Tanahashi Cody came out at the end of the G1 to challenge Tanahashi for this match, and Tanahashi readily accepted. They matched up pretty well and surprisingly, Cody picks up the win with the Cross Rhodes after 22:55 (77) Match 8: Kenny Omega vs Penta El Zero Miedo Perhaps the big draw of this event, Kenny is maybe the best wrestler in the world right now and Penta is on a huge hot streak with his work in Lucha Underground. A true dream match, Kenny ends up picking up the win with the OWA after 23:49 (80) But the big moment came after the match when a fan wearing a Penta mask stormed the ring and hit Kenny with a baseball bat. Of course, for anyone with eyes, it was obvious who it was and he revealed himself to be, of course, Chris Jericho! (75) Match 9: Rey Fénix, Rey Mysterio Jr. and Bandido vs The Golden Elite Everyone knew that it was Rey’s last match on this indie run, and everyone showed him the love and respect that he deserves. The Golden Elite worked heel, surprisingly, but it worked and it lead to Rey picking up the win with the 619 after 21:08. (75) Everyone in the Main Event is shaking hands and celebrating All In with the fans, when the lights go out. You start to hear the intro to Final Countdown and THE AMERICAN DRAGON IS HERE AT ALL IN! The crowd goes absolutely bananas and Bryan gets in the ring, cutting a promo talking about he he is fucking back and he is ready to kick some fucking heads in and change the fucking world (63) Overall, it was a great show. It showed that there is a desire for an alternative when it comes to professional wrestling and with 2 very good matches, it is definitely a must watch. Of course, the big story coming out of this one is the fact that Bryan Danielson has left the WWE and I am super interested to know what happens there. (80) 4 Compartilhar este post Link para o post
El Colosso Publicado 30 Setembro 2025 (editado) September The reception and buyrates for ALL IN is exceeding every expectation that the Elite had set. With a lot of people calling it one of the best PPVs in recent American history and being compared favorably to Summerslam, they knocked it out of the park. Of course the big story coming out of there is the appearance of Bryan Danielson. Bryan and the WWE were quietly in contract talks over the last few months, with Bryan expressing a desire of having a sort of a new contract in modern times for the WWE, with him being allowed to work certain NJPW shows. Vince was of course totally against that and that was the defining line in the negotiations. Only Kenny Omega knew that Bryan would be at ALL IN. From what we know, Bryan contacted Kenny 2 days before the show, saying that his contract with WWE was up and that he would love to appear at ALL IN. Not wanting to give away Bryan Danielson’s first independent match in almost 10 years without any sort of hype, they quickly worked on the closing segment of the show. The shocked faces of everyone in the ring was not a work. Kota Ibushi appears to have suffered a Broken Heel after the main event of ALL IN, after a botch on a move involving Bandido. Kota was mad at Bandido but after a quick talk with Omega and Bandido, everything appears to have been sorted out. As I said, spirits were incredibly high backstage after ALL IN, but a group of wrestlers is being talked up the most. Nicole Matthews had an amazing performance in the tag match and was heavily praised, with some saying that she had the performance of the night. Portia Perez was also heavily praised, especially after the promo that she and Nicole cut. Orange Cassidy was praised for his ability to immediately connect with the more workrate heavy crowd and WALTER had huge fans backstage, the biggest one of them being Okada. They were seen talking after the match and rumour has it that WALTER might have just gotten himself a couple of tours with New Japan. In WWE news, the signings continue. Brandon Tate, one of the boys that comes out with Dalton Castle in ROH has signed a contract. Joining him are AAA World Tag Team Champion Laredo Kid and Marshall von Erich In more WWE news, they have extended the contracts of some big names. Roman Reigns and The Miz appear to have resigned for a 3 year period, with Roman’s contract being rumored to approach the 8 figures. Roderick Strong has seen his contract extended as well. El Colosso Publicado 1 Outubro 2025 October In very interesting news coming out from Dragon Gate, Shingo Takagi is not renewing his contract. Shingo is one of the main draws for the company and this came as a bit of a surprise. NOAH, AJPW and even NJPW is monitoring the situation very closely, with even WWE being rumored to be looking at Takagi, with their recent push for more international stars. WWE continues to extend some contracts. This month was Eric Young, Zack Gibson, Paul Ellering, JBL, Charlie Morgan, Eddie Dennis and James Ellsworth With some surprise, WWE has decided to not extend the contract of Mojo Rawley. With decent size and physique and a somewhat close relationship with NFL star Rob Gronkowski, feeling backstage was that he would be used to get the popular football player in a match at some point down the line, but that appears to no longer be the case. Kalisto, also known as Samuray del Sol, has also not seeing his contract renewed. In the WWE signs a big independent name news, they have signed Punishment Martinez from ROH, where he was the World Television Champion. In unfortunate news, it appears that Maryse suffered a very serious injury at Crown Jewel. During a pre-show match against Ruby Riott, Ruby performed a DDT and right away Ruby popped back up and attacked the ref. The signal was immediate to the back and Maryse was carted off in a stretcher. I am hearing that it was something related to her spine and there are fears that she might not walk again. Of course that Ruby is not being blamed and she was in tears backstage. El Colosso Publicado 1 Outubro 2025 November The big news this month was the report that the group that owns the Jacksonville Jaguars has filled some interesting trademark related to wrestling. “All Elite Wrestling, Double or Nothing, “All Out” and “Wednesday Night Dynamite” were all filled with the US Office of Patents to be used in a wrestling environment. What makes this more interesting, other the fact that the name suggests The Elite might be associated with this group, is the fact that Tony Khan, son of Jacksonville Jaguar and Fulham FC owner Shahid Khan, is reportedly a huge wrestling fan, known for posting on various message boards across the years. What this means remains to be seen, but we will keep tabs on this story. WWE keeps on resigning some talents. Becky Lynch got a huge 7 figure deal, and they also resigned Vic Joseph, Kassius Ohno, Mike Rotunda, Kayla Braxton, Dasha Gonzalez, Gurv Shira, Chris Sharpe, Brie Bella, Hulk Hogan, Tucker Knight, Marina Shafir, Gran Metallik, Drew McIntyre, Luke Menzies, Maria Kanellis, Ruby Riott, TJP and Bobby Fish WWE has also signed another independent name from ROH, this time current ROH World Champion Dalton Castle. In worse news for the business, Lucha Underground appears to be on the way out. After 4 successful seasons on the El Rey Network, it quickly became a cult favorite, but both El Rey and AAA appear to consider the show too costly to continue producing it. The rumor has it that WWE will buy out the tape library and that will be it for LU. WWE has decided to completely tear apart NXT, calling up some of the biggest names on the brand. Adam Cole, Aliester Black, Bianca Belair, Angelo Dawkins, IYO SKY, Johnny Gargano, Kyle O’Reilly, Lard Sullivan, Nikki Cross, Ricochet. Roderick Strong, Steve Cutler, Tommaso Ciampa, Velveteen Dream and Wesley Blake will all be joining the main roster. El Colosso Publicado 2 Outubro 2025 December The WWE continues their wave of resignings, this time resigning 16 wrestlers, them being: Dana Brooke, Joseph Conners, MJ Jenkins, Booker T, Kaitlyn, Cedric Alexander, Keith Lee, Rowe, Rick Boogs, Mars Wang, Shawn Michaels, Harv Shira, Taynari Conti, Akam, Sheamus Without any surprise, they have also decided to let the contract of Rhyno expire. Rhyno had a solid run in both NXT and WWE, working with some undercard folk, notably Heath Slater. It appears to have been a mutual decision and the doors are always open for a short return. In the biggest news coming out of New Japan in recent months, Zack Sabre Jr. did not have his contract resigned. He had a pretty significant injury a couple of months ago and a decision was made to not resign the contract of Sabre Jr., who was viewed one time as a future top gaijin in the company. Zack still has several months of recovery ahead of him and only time will tell where he ends up. WWE was obviously very interested in signing him when he participated in the Cruiserweight Classic, so that is always an option for the Brit. El Colosso Publicado 2 Outubro 2025 January Before we get into the big news this month, let's take a look at our yearly awards, as voted by our readers Male Wrestler of the Year: Kota Ibushi Female Wrestler of the Year: Ronda Rousey Company of the Year: WWE Male Tag Team of the Year: The New Day (Kofi and Big E) Female Tag Team of the Year: Boss n’ Hug Connection Match of the Year: Kota Ibushi vs Minoru Suzuki (99) Show of the Year: MJPW Destruction in Hiroshima (92) Male Young Wrestler of the Year: Dragon Lee Female Young Wrestler of the Year: Tessa Blanchard Male Veteran Wrestler of the Year: Tomohiro Ishii Female Veteran Wrestler of the Year: Mickie James Male Independent Wrestler of the Year: WALTER Female Independent Wrestler of the Year: Bianca Belair Male Manager of the Year: Paul Heyman Female Manager of the Year: Leva Bates Male Play By Play Commentator of the Year: Shinpei Nogami Female Play By Play Commentator of the Year: Renee Paquette Male Colour Commentator of the Year: Shoichi Funaki Female Colour Commentator of the Year: Bull Nakano Male Referee of the Year: Red Shoes Unno Female Referee of the Year: Kennadi Brink Of course the big news this month is the announcement of AEW. In a press conference held outside of Daily’s Place in Jacksonville, Tony Khan announced that the company would hold their 1st ever PPV on May 25, called Double or Nothing. We know for a fact that everyone that appeared in the press conference has signed exclusive deals with the company, and those include the 5 members of The Elite, Bryan Danielson, Chris Jericho, the Best Friends, the Canadian NINJAS, Britt Baker, Chelsea Green, WALTER and PAC. During the press conference, Tony Khan also announced that they would crown the 1st ever AEW Men’s World Champion at their 2nd event, All Out, at the end of September. There will be 2 qualifying matches for that match at Double or Nothing, those matches being PAC v Adam Page and Chris Jericho v Kenny Omega. Khan also hinted at some more names being announced as having signed exclusively with the company in the following weeks. We know that there are already ongoing talks between AEW and some major broadcasters, with some even speculating that they could have a TV show later this year. It was bold from them to announce everything without a deal in place, but they are confident that they will get a deal with ease. In maybe even more surprising news, The Undertaker and WWE have announced that he will be leaving them when his contract expires, early next month. This comes as a huge surprise given that everyone thought that he would retire with the WWE, but it seems that that will not be the case. Shingiro Takagi, after leaving DDT late last year, debuted in NJPW at this Wrestle Kingdom, teaming up with Ishii in a losing effort against Ibushi and Danielson. El Colosso Publicado 3 Outubro 2025 February With the creation of AEW, WWE appears to be even more focused on retaining their talents. This month it was: Babatunde, Konnor, Raquel Gonzalez, D-Von Dudley, Natalya, Bray Wyatt, Jack Gallagher. From our sources, AEW was not interested in any of them NJPW also continues to restructure their roster, with the somewhat surprising news that Yuji Nagata will not be staying with the company. A former IWGP World Champion, Nagata was thought to have a job for life, and was expected to eventually transition to a road agent role. Gabe Sapolsky has decided to terminate his deal with WWE effective immediately. Gabe had been working backstage as a producer for NXT and was reportedly extremely unhappy with the call ups a couple of months ago. In a meeting with Triple H, he reportedly got into a huge argument with Hunter and just walked off from the company altogether. El Colosso Publicado 3 Outubro 2025 March AEW held one more press conference, once again from outside Daily’s Place. This time the host was Tony Schiavone, who confirmed that he had signed with the company as a backstage interviewer. We had a couple more matches set up for Double or Nothing, with Bryan Danielson challenging his, in his own words, “wrestling hero”, Blue Panther Jr. for a match at the PPV. SCU also issued an open challenge to any trio in the world to face them at the event. But the big news from that press conference came at the end. Prince Nana showed up and claimed that he was forming a New Embassy, and that he had just signed two of the top wrestlers in the world to his stable. And those wrestlers were Kairi Hojo and Io Shirai, in the two first defections from WWE to AEW. Nana challenged Japanese wrestlers Riho and Hikaru Shida for a match at Double or Nothing. WWE is clearly starting to feel like they just can’t coast anymore when it comes to their wrestlers contracts. Brock Lesnar resigned on an 8 figure deal this month, and Bayley was also given a multi-year deal that will amount to numbers in the 7 figures. They re-signed some more wrestlers down the card and in developmental, them being: Morgan Webster, Killian Dane, Killer Kelly. Heath Slater, Elias, Scott Armstrong, Fandango, Lince Dorado, Candice LeRae. Baron Corbin, Stacey Ervin Jr., Naomi. Two more veterans left WWE this month. One was completely unsurprising, with Dustin Rhodes seeing his contract expiring. With Cody as one of the heads of AEW, everyone knows that Dustin will be joining them sooner rather than later. The second one is a much more interesting figure. For years, William Regal was Triple H’s #2 at NXT, basically being Co-Head Trainer at the PC with Matt Bloom and being their head scout for independent talent, so it came as a huge surprise when it was revealed that he would not get a contract extension. With one of his main protogees Danielson at AEW, it would stand to reason that he would also join the Jacksonville company, but nothing is for certain at this point. New Japan also let a beloved member of their midcard leave, with Toru Yano becoming a free agent this month. With his more comedic approach to wrestling, he could very well join a company like DDT in the near future. In bad news for ROH, it looks like Jay Lethal suffered a major concussion during a taping of their TV show. There is no timetable for his return, but it could be up to a year for Lethal in the shelf. El Colosso Publicado 4 Outubro 2025 (editado) April With AEW now a serious threat, WWE continues ro extend the contracts of some wrestlers. This month they were: Nia Jax, Scott Taylor, Mike Rome, Naomi, Isla Dawn, Jimmy Uso, Beth Phoenix, David Kapoor, Brennan Williams, Bo Dallas, Fabian Aichner Scott Hall has signed a Legends contract with WWE and looks like will be working mostly as a trainer down in NXT. With the help of DDP and the vigilance of Triple H, everyone expects him to be on his best behaviour. Tomasso Ciampa has suffered a serious blow this month. He was being featured quite nicely on the main roster but he suffered a Torn Rotator Cuff and is expected to be out for around a year. From what we could gather, there was a serious bidding war between AEW and WWE for two wrestlers: Buddy Murphy and Austin Creed aka Xavier Woods. Both wrestlers ended up resigning with WWE but AEW was really competitive in the bidding war, so much so that WWE feels like that they may have overpaid for two guys that they don’t see ever rising past midcard. Rumour has it that they are both earning around 600k a year, which is a lot and shows what another company with financial pull can do. Surprising absolutely nobody, Dustin Rhodes has signed an exclusive deal with AEW and has announced that he will be fighting Cody at Double or Nothing. El Colosso Publicado 5 Outubro 2025 TS- Welcome everyone to the Buy In for AEW’s first event, Double or Nothing, here, from the beautiful MGM Grand Arena in Las Vegas. I am Tony Schiavone and I am joined by my broadcaster partner, the voice of AEW, Excalibur. EX- It’s a pleasure to be here Tony, running down the card from this historic event here in Las Vegas. TS- Folks, don’t forget to order the PPV from our partners, and let’s get right down to it. To start us off, let’s talk about a Fatal Four Way Tag Team Match, where the winners get a guaranteed spot in an upcoming tournament to crown the AEW World Tag Team Champions. EX- It will be a match full of action Tony. You have the Best Friends of Chuck Taylor and Trent Beretta. Trent is a very experienced tag team wrestler and Chuck always provides us with some, let’s say, unorthodox offense. TS- Facing them in the match, as far as more experienced partnership, you will have The Hybrid2, Angélico and Jack Evans. What can you tell us about them Excalibur? EX- Jack Evans is one of the most influential high flyers in the independent scene. He truly revolutionized wrestling and I am very excited to see him perform with AEW. Angélico, despite having wrestled most of his career in México and certainly having the ability to fly, is not a prototypical high-flyer. Instead, he is much more adept in what is called the “llave” style of wrestling, which has one of his most famous performers wrestling tonight as well. TS- And then you have 2 other duos, Jurassic Express and Homicide and Low-Ki. EX- They prefer to be called Hostile Intent. TS- Oh, is that so? Hostile Intent then. From what I have gathered, this is the 1st time ever that Luchasaurus and Jack Perry have ever teamed up! Luchasaurus will be by far the largest wrestler in this match and Jack, while very young, has all the drive and will to succeed. EX- However, the other team features two legends in independent wrestling. Both are former Ring of Honor World Champions, Homicide is one of the toughest wrestlers that I have ever faced and folks, if you have seen a Low-Ki, prepare to be dazzled. He hits and wrestlers like no else that I have ever seen. TS- Let’s move on to another tag team match, this one featuring 4 of the best japanese female wrestlers in the world. EX- Kairi Hojo and Io Shirai surprised the world when they announced that they had joined AEW. Not only they had success in Japan, with both of them being former World of Stardom Champions, they have also achieved success in the United States. With them joining AEW, the sky is the limit for the Women’s Division. TS- Facing them will be Hikaru Shida and Riho. While not as accomplished as their opponents, they are incredibly talented and could pull off a huge upset if Kairi and Io take them lightly. EX- And let’s not forget about the X Factor here, Prince Nana. He was the one that introduced Kairi and Io to AEW, and he can always have a part to play in the match. TS- Let’s talk about the 1st of our trios match here. SCU have issued an open challenge to anyone in the world to face them here at Double or Nothing. EX- That they have, and after talking with Tony Khan, he has said that he heard from a big number of incredibly talented wrestlers that wanted to accept the challenge but he has picked, in his own words, “a trio of wrestlers that will bring the house down”. TS- Cannot wait to see that. And in the other trios match, it will feature 6 incredible wrestlers. EX- Indeed it will, Melissa and the Canadian NINJAS are certified independent wrestling legends. During a time when the mainstream view on women’s wrestling in the United States was in the toiler, they worked their asses off in Shimmer and brought a legitimacy and in ring quality that many times surpassed those of the men. And now, they have their chance in the biggest stage that they have ever had. TS- And on the other side, 3 women that are following in their footsteps. Chelsea Green, Britt Baker and Bea Priestley might lack the experience and guile that their 3 opponents have, but they will make them work their asses off. EX- Without a doubt there Tony. TS- In the last of our non singles matches of the night, we have a certified dream match. The Young Bucks, perhaps the most influential team of the decade, will be facing the Lucha Brothers. EX- We don’t really have to hype this one that much. It’s two of the best tag teams in the world facing off, and we are expecting something great here. TS- And now let’s get into the singles matches. First off, we have a special request by Bryan Danielson, who is joining us at this time. BD- Tony, Excalibur, great to be here and I cannot wait to get this show started! TX- Bryan, we see that you are not alone, who is this young man? BD- This Joe Regal. Of course that you know by his name who his father is, he told me to send his regards to you Tony. JB- Gentleman, a true pleasure to make your acquaintances. BD- Mr. Regal asked me a special favor, if I would let Joe here be ringside for this match tonight. EX- Any particular reason why Bryan? At our last press conference, you said that Blue Panther was one of your heroes. BD- Exactly for that. Mr.Regal told me that he was sure that Joe would learn more in this match that he would learn anywhere else. And as for Blue Panther being one of my heroes, I would like to expand on that. He is one of my dream matches. I have modeled my in-ring around a lot of people. Shawn Michaels, William Regal, people like that. But the first time that I saw Panther, he was like a drug to me. I could not look away. I would like to think that he is without a doubt my biggest influence. And I would like to thank Tony Khan for the opportunity to have this match. TS- And how have you prepared for this match? BD- The preparation was mostly mental, for me to not be star struck when I get in the ring with him. His style very closely matches my own, and I would like to think that I know his every move, but with the way that his brain works in the ring, you just have to be ready to adapt. EX- Thank you very much for joining us Bryan, and Joe as well. BD- Always a pleasure gentlemen. TS- Now let’s talk about Brother vs Brother. This one, according to both Cody and Dustin, is to say something that they have never been able to say before. EX- Dustin is a certified legend of this business. He has wrestled all over the world, competed in various decades. He had a singles match against Cody, but they feel like they were never able to really wrestle like they wanted to do. TS- And as someone that knew and loved Dusty, I know that he is looking down on his kids, smiling, knowing that they will give it all to truly honour his memory. EX- And we now get to the 2 main matches of the show. TS- At All Out, we will crown the first ever AEW World Champion. Tonight, four men will leave everything in the ring to get a shot at competing in that match. EX- First off, you get PAC. A globe trotter, PAC has wrestled all over the world. In the last couple of years he has become even more vicious than ever and has started forcing people to call him “Bastard”. A truly powerful striker that has an aerial ability that would put a lot of people to shame. TS- Facing him will be “Hangman” Adam Page. By far the youngest of the four men trying to compete for the title, at AEW’s inaugural press conference he told everyone that he will win the title or die trying. EX- In the other match, we have a rematch of Wrestle Kingdom 12, with Chris Jericho taking on Kenny Omega. TS- We don’t really have to talk about the accolades of either men. They are two of the most successful and talented professional wrestlers of all time. This would be a dream rematch, but it became slightly more personal after Chris Jericho attacked Kenny Omega at All In, destroying him with a baseball bat. EX- And there you have it folks. We are about 5 minutes away from the start of the show here at the MGM Grand Arena, the arena is already packed to the gills full of passionate wrestling fans, excited for the 1st AEW show ever. TS- Don’t forget to order the Pay Per View on your cable box or if you are outside the US, to subscribe to Fite TV+ to watch the incredible action that will be on display tonight. My name was Tony Schiavone and on behalf of myself, Excalibur and everyone here in AEW, we hope that you truly enjoy the show! Qualifying Match for the AEW World Tag Team Titles tournament Best Friends vs Lucha Express vs The Hybrid2 vs Hostile Intent Hikaru Shida and Riho vs Kairi Hojo and Io Shirai Cheerleader Melissa and Canadian NINJAS vs Bea Priestley, Chelsea Green and Britt Baker Lucha Brothers vs The Young Bucks Bryan Danielson vs Blue Panther SCU Open Challenge Cody vs Dustin Rhodes Semi Finals in the AEW World Title Tournament “Hangman” Adam Page vs PAC Semi Finals in the AEW World Title Tournament Chris Jericho vs Kenny Omega Citação O show provavelmente será postado na 3ª, mas fica aqui o card se alguem quiser fazer alguem previsão 2 Compartilhar este post Link para o post
El Colosso Publicado 7 Outubro 2025 Welcome to our review of AEW Double or Nothing! We will be following their upcoming shows and if they do get that TV deal, talking about those as well in here. We are welcomed by Excalibur, Taz and Tony Schiavone, who run down the card and throw to the ring for our first match. Match 1: Hikaru Shida and Riho vs Black Lotus Great action to start off the PPV, Io and Hojo were working heel, which surprises nobody since they are being managed by Nana. Shida and Riho were pretty unknown by the audience here, but these 4 worked a match that would not look out of place main eventing a big Stardom show. Incredibly fast-paced action and Black Lotus pick up the win at around 16 minutes. Winners: Black Lotus (80) Match 2: Best Friends vs Lucha Express vs The Hybrid2 vs Hostile Intent A perfectly acceptable PWG style multi man tag match, Hybrid2 and Best Friends came out of this looking like possible contenders for the future AEW World Tag Team Titles. Homicide and Low-Ki delivered their usual style of offence, but you can tell that Homice is not the same guy that he was 10 years ago, when he was in his prime. Jack Perry and Luchasaurus worked pretty well as a big - small tag team, but they are still pretty green. The end of the match came down to Best Friends and The Hybrid2, with Trent picking up the pinfall over Angélico. Winners: Best Friends (67) Match 3: Canadian NINJAS and Cheerleader Melissa vs Bea Priestley, Britt Baker and Chelsea Green. As someone that loved the NINJAS back in Shimmer, it’s still crazy to me that they are being given this kind of a spotlight, and that they are delivering as well. Nicole looks great and Portia, after her retirement, looks as good as she ever looked. On the face side, it’s clear that they are booking Bea as a future star, since she was the one that had the hot tag. In the end though, it was to no avail with Melisse beating her in around 17 minutes. Winners: Cheerleader Melissa and Canadian NINJAS (65) Portia, Nicole and Melissa keep beating up the faces when Sara del Ray comes out for the save! She helps the good girls fight them off when, out of nothing, she attacks Bea! A quick swerve here, but holy shit, is Sara del Ray unretiring here? She ends up raising the arms of Portia, Nicole and Melissa and appears to be joining forces with them! Match 4: Bryan Danielson vs Blue Panther Commentary told us that Blue Panther got special permission for this match to wear his mask once again, which was a cool touch and addition to this one. Him and Bryan worked pretty much a classic “llaves” match, with the action being focused on holds and counter-hods. Even after Bryan hyped this up as a dream match for himself, the crowd did not appear to care that much at the beginning but by the end, they were totally bought into it. Bryan, of course, picks up the win after 20 minutes, but if you are a technical wrestling fan, you have to check this one out. Winner: Bryan Danielson (82) Bryan and Panther are shaking hands after the match, bowing to each other, when WALTER’s theme plays. The crowd sounds like it has been put on mute, but in a good way. He absolutely destroys Bryan, Panther and Joe Regal, stealing Panther’s mask and busting open all 3 men. Great angle here. We get a promo video for All Out in August, and we come back with SCU making their entrance and calling out their unknown opponents. Strong Hearts theme plays and they get a decent pop, with CIMA and T-Hawk coming out. Around 30 seconds pass when the screen flashes with a huge “R”, and Ricochet comes out to a great ovation! The 3 sprint to the ring and we are underway! Match 5: SCU vs Ricochet, CIMA and T-Hawk. Another deflection from WWE! Ricochet joining AEW is a huge coup for them. He has cooled a little bit from when he joined WWE but he is still a pretty big name. Teaming him up with CIMA and T-Hawk is a pretty smart move, since they have some history from Dragon Gate and are some of the guys that can keep up with his speed. This was basically an exhibition match for them, but on SCU’s side, Frankie Kazarian looked like, despite his age, he could still keep up with Ricochet and T-Hawk. A little throwback to when ROH had that Do Fixer vs Blood Generation match, a very good match here, with Ricochet, of course, picking up the win. Winners: Ricochet, CIMA and T-Hawk (80) Match 6: Adam Page vs PAC Page is being very clearly positioned as a future main eventer of the company. He was the first one to talk in their first press conference, he is the youngest guy participating in the mini tournament to crown the World Champion and if they want to be bold, they could just crown him. Of course that PAC is PAC, hard hitting and incredible in the air, WWE really had this beast losing to Enzo Amore. Great little match here and “Hangman” picks up the win. Winner: Adam Page (77) Match 7: Lucha Brothers vs The Young Bucks Holy shit. This was a certified dream match between two of the best tag teams in the industry right now, and it did not disappoint at all. They went full throttle from the start and for 20 minutes, they delivered what is probably the best tag team match in the United States in a long time. Incredibly athletic, with Penta breaking up the action with a more brawling based work, go out of your way to watch this one. Winners: The Young Bucks (90) Match 8: Dustin Rhodes vs Cody The match that they always wanted to have and they delivered big time. They went incredibly old-school for this one, with both guys getting colour and Cody especially, looking like Dusty after a big time match. They had great chemistry, which makes sense. Would this match have been better 5 years ago, especially for Dustin? More than likely but still a great one, with Cody winning after the Cross Rhodes. Winner: Cody (82) Match 9: Kenny Omega vs Chris Jericho Was this one better than their Wrestle Kingdom match? Maybe. Certainly the best match in America this year. Just the right length for a main event of this caliber (around 23 minutes), Jericho looked like he was 10 or 15 years younger with the way that he was moving. And Kenny is always amazing, especially in the form that he is in right now, just a monster of movement, timing and understanding what the match needs. MOTN, probably MOTYC. Winner: Chris Jericho (92) Although that main event was amazing, what happened after the match is what is going to get all the headlines. With Jericho celebrating, a hooded man climbed the barricade, got in the ring and gave him a back suplex. He puts the hood down and it’s Jon motherfucking Moxley! He immediately starts attacking Kenny and Jericho, leaving them both laying down and even hitting Omega with a DDT on the casino chips that were a part of the set! General thoughts: This was a slam dunk by AEW. They delivered big surprises, big angles setting up the coming months and, most importantly, they delivered on great matches. Sara del Ray, Ricochet and especially Jon Moxley jumping ship feel like WWE cannot just get to keep doing what they are doing and this PPV, at least in my opinion, sets up AEW as true alternative in the wrestling scene. El Colosso Publicado 14 Outubro 2025 May Double or Nothing is being considered a huge success for AEW, both critically and commercially. Early reports have the PPV buys at around 130k and people are calling it the best American PPV in years. Of course the biggest stories coming out of the event are the wrestlers jumping ship from WWE to AEW. Sara del Ray spent some years as the main female trainer down in NXT but it appears that she joined AEW to be an in-ring talent. Ricochet, when he joined WWE, was one of the hottest wrestlers in the world with his Lucha Underground work, but he felt like his momentum had stalled. Of course that the biggest name jumping was Jon Moxley. A former WWE Champion and a third of perhaps the most successful faction that WWE has ever produced, Mox’s gripes with WWE came down to creative. He felt like he could be used a lot differently and the main brass disagreed. WWE resignings: No Way José, Sonya Deville, Mark Henry, Travis Banks, Pete Dunne, Percy Watson. El Colosso Publicado 19 Outubro 2025 All Out Buy In TS - Welcome everyone to the Buy In Pre Show for All Out. My name is Tony Schiavone and I am being joined here by my broadcast partner Excalibut. And Excalibur, what a night of action we have here for our fans! EX- Without a doubt Tony. Tonight marks a monumental night for All Elite Wrestling, with the crowing of our first ever AEW Men’s World Champion! TS- That will be a huge Main Event without a doubt, but let’s take these a step at a time. To start off the action, we will have a tag team division exhibition match with repercussions towards the Tag Title Tournament that will start in a couple of weeks on Dynamite! EX- We have already talked about The Hybrid2 during our Double or Nothing Buy In Show. Facing them will be Perros del Mal, one of the top tag teams in the Mexican independent scene, The Astronauts, an exciting up and coming team from the Japanese scene and Everett & Lee, perhaps the most underrated tag team in the United States at the moment. TS- Also on a tag team exhibition match, the team of Frankie Kazarian and new Ring of Honor World Champion, Scorpio Sky, will be taking on the duo of Myron Reed and AR Fox, known as FireFox. EX- We all know the quality and ability of Kazarian and Scorpio Sky, but Reed and Fox are not to be discounted. They are one of the most exciting teams going on today. TS- We will also have two exciting four way matches, with the winners of those matches going on to crown the first ever AEW Women’s World Champion next Wednesday, on the premiere episode of Dynamite! In the first match, we will see Hikaru Shida, Riho, Jordynne Grace and Amazing Kong battle it out! EX- And on the second one of those contests, we get to see the debuting Meiko Satomura, a certified legend, taking on Chelsea Green, Thunder Rosa and an independent wrestling icon, LuFisto! TS- Any predictions here partner? EX- Well, looking at the matches, you cannot look past the skill and size of Kong. And of course, in the other match, gotta go with the experience of Meiko Satomura. TS- Moving on to the last match on the Women’s Division, Kairi Hojo and Io Shirai, also known as Black Lotus, will face some mystery opponents! EX- This match was scheduled by the owner of All Elite Wrestling, Tony Khan. He said that he wants to bring the best tag divisions in the world to AEW, being them Men’s and Women’s. And he is particularly excited about the new signings that will debut here, tonight, on the Sears Center. TS- Now let’s move to trios action! The Elite are one of the best trios in the world, with a chemistry that is unrivaled. But tonight, they will take on some mighty foes, won’t they Excalibur? EX- Indeed they are. Across the ring from them will be PAC and the Lucha Brothers. At Double or Nothing, the Bucks and the Lucha Brothers brought us one of the best tag team matches that I have had the pleasure of calling. And PAC is always a threat, especially after losing his match last PPV against Adam Page. TS- And now, finally, let’s move to the singles encounters. First off, we have the answer to an open challenge issued by Cody on BTE. EX- Yes. Cody issued an open challenge to any independent wrestler in the world to face him here at All Out. And the answer was swift and momentous. The current PWG World Champion, Darby Allin, accepted the challenge and they will square off right here in Chicago. TS- From a match based all around respect, we move to something a little bit more personal. Bryan Danielson ticked off something in his bucket list when he faced Blue Panther in a match at Double or Nothing. But after the match… EX- After the match, he was completely destroyed by the Ring General WALTER! In one of the most sickening attacks that I have ever seen, the Austrian Brute attacked not only Danielson, but one of his heroes, Blue Panther. And so, this match was set for tonight, and I hope that Bryan kicks WALTER’s ass. TS- Wow, getting a little biased there partner. EX- As much as I respect WALTER’s ability, the way that he conducted his business at Double or Nothing did not leave me happy at all. TS- To end the show, the biggest match in the short history of AEW. Chris Jericho, “Hangman” Adam Page, the AEW Men’s World Title. EX- This one is for all the marbles Tony. On one hand, you have one of the most respected wrestlers in the history of the sport. Almost 30 years in wrestling, with experience all over the world. On the other hand, the young gun slinger. Despite his young age, already 11 years of in ring experience and the man with a promise to become the 1st ever AEW Men’s World Champion. This one will be a match to remember. TS- Without a doubt! Fans, don’t forget to order the Pay Per View and don’t forget that starting next Wednesday, wrestling is back on Turner, with the debut broadcast of Dynamite, on Prime Time, on TNT! I was Tony Schiavone and alongside me was Excalibur, we are just moments away from All Out! El Colosso Publicado 19 Outubro 2025 (editado) All Out 2019 Saturday, August 31 Sears Center, Chicago, Illinois Attendance: 11800 (SOLD OUT!) Welcome to our 2nd review of an AEW event and boy, what a goddamn show! We start of with Excalibur, Taz and Tony selling the PPV and running down the card and once again, we go straight into the action. Match 1:Perros del Mal vs The Astronauts vs The Hybrid2 vs Everett & Lee It seems like Tony Khan and AEW want to do it’s to have an international feel to their roster and to have a great tag team division. And this one was a perfect example of that. The Astronauts and Perros del Mal are mainstays in smaller indie companies, sure, but far from household names and while Angélico and Jack are bigger names due to their Lucha Underground exposure, Everett and Lee are somewhat of cult icons. All in all, an extremely solid opening match, full of action, that ends when Angélico picks up the win. Winners: The Hybrid2 (73) Match 2 :SoCal Uncensored (Frankie Kazarian and Scorpio Sky) vs FireFox (Myron Reed and AR Fox) Interesting that AEW is recognizing other titles, since Scorpio came out with his newly won ROH World Title. Reed and Fox have been making waves in the Chicago area, with Fox being somewhat of an independent darling, someone that you can count on to have good matches with everyone. He also had a very solid run in Lucha Underground, including a great match against Shane Strickland. But this one was all about SCU, who performed very well and despite the match not being as good as the opener, still a very enjoyable contest, with Sky picking up the win for his team. Winners: SCU (70) Match 3 :Cody vs Darby Allin And once again, AEW recognizing other companies, with Darby Allin, who has become very well respected in the industry, coming out for this match with the PWG World Title. Somewhat of a star-making performance here for Darby, with Cody giving him a lot of offense, but still coming up short, as Cody picks up the win with the Cross Rhodes. Winner: Cody (75) Match 4:Qualifying Match for the AEW Women’s World Title Match Meiko Satomura vs Chelsea Green vs Thunder Rosa vs LuFisto This match suffered because of one thing: general lack of recognition from the crowd, even from this more knowledgeable fanbase. The biggest story of this match was Meiko coming out with Prince Nana, which planted her solidly as a heel. The other 3 wrestlers performed pretty well too, but it was Meiko that shined and picked up the win, punching her ticket for a World Title Match at Dynamite. Winner: Meiko Satomura (54) Prince Nana did not even leave ringside, as Black Lotus made their way to the ring. After around a minute of waiting, Evie and Nixon Newell appear, making it clear that Team Kick has joined AEW! Match 5: Black Lotus vs Team Kick Kairi and Io are just superstars man. They have the look, they have the skills, they have the charisma. Not to say that Evie and Nixon are bad, not at all. As a matter of fact, they performed pretty well here, in a somewhat classic joshi big time tag team match. But when you are in the ring with Kairi and Io, they are going to outshine you. And it feels like Tony Khan understands that because, while the easy thing would be to give the debuting team the win, it ends up being Kairi Hoje that picks up the win for her team. Great little match here. Winners: Black Lotus (78) Match 6:Qualifying Match for the AEW Women’s World Title Match Riho vs Hikaru Shida vs Jordynne Grace vs Amazing Kong When was the last time that there have been 3 women’s matches back to back to back in an American PPV featuring both men and women? This one suffered from the same faith as the previous 4 way match, with this time Kong being the clear draw of the match. And while she is one of the biggest names that they have in the division, heel v heel to crown the first ever champion does not make any sense and she actually ate the pin, with Riho being the one to face off against Meiko at Dynamite. Winner: Riho (55) Match 7: The Elite vs PAC and Lucha Brothers Remember when I said that Ricochet, T-Hawk, CIMA and SCU had a great Dragon Gate type match at Double or Nothing? Forget about that. This one was a near perfect blend of american independent style, Lucharesu and Strong Style. Almost 23 minutes of absolute non stop action, one of the best trios matches that I have ever seen outside of Mexico or Dragon Gate. Kenny ends up pinning Penta with the One Winged Angel in a match that at any other PPV, would have been MOTN. Winners: The Elite The big story, however, came after the match when, once again, Jon Moxley attacked Kenny Omega. The Bucks tried to interfere but Kenny stopped them, and they end up having a brawl all over the arena, with Kenny ending up taking a Spike DDT on a glass table! Awesome stuff. Then a strange video package played, with freaking Evil Uno of all people talking. He gave a “cultish” sort of vibe, telling everyone that their lives could be improved if they just joined the Dark Order. Match 8: Bryan Danielson vs WALTER WALTER had a very good match against Okada at All In. He had an amazing match here tonight against Danielson. These 2 had amazing chemistry and if you ever wondered how Danielson v Morishima (one of my favorite matches ever) would look like in 2019, this is that match. It might even be better. For 30 minutes, these guys just threw bombs at each other. Despite Danielson being Danielson, it felt like he was always on the back foot and just barely surviving. With him finally being able to lock in the LeBell Lock on WALTER, the bell rang and the match went to a time limit draw. Go watch this match right now. Winner: Draw due to 30 minute time limit (98) Match 9: AEW Men’s World Title Chris Jericho vs “Hangman” Adam Page And here we go. Another amazing match. After the war that was Danielson v WALTER, this was much more of a classic southern style match. Jericho had a lot of control but Adam Page, who seems to have a real connection with the AEW crowd, kept on fighting. Jericho used his experience and technical ability to repeatedly halt Hangman’s momentum but he kept being spurred on by the crowd. The closing segment was amazingly well done: Hangman hits a Dead Eye and sets up for the Buckshot Lariat. But Jericho is just slightly out of range and with Page having to make the smallest of adjustments, that allows Jericho to hit the Judas Effect for the clean win, the pinfall and the title win. Winner: Chris Jericho (NEW AEW Men’s World Champion) (98) Overall review: if this PPV had stopped at the Trios Match, it would be one of the shows of the year. But then they had back to back MOTYC, in completely different styles. One was a war, with the smaller guy just throwing bomb after bomb but just failing short of bringing the monster down. The other was a classic face v heel, experience v youth match. If this is the level that they are bringing to their events, we are about to be treated exceptionally well. My current pick for show of the year and it’s not even close at this moment. Rating: 98 Editado 19 Outubro 2025 por El Colosso 1 Compartilhar este post Link para o post
