O combate não foi muito longo e serviu apenas para aquecer a audiência e dar mais uma vitória a Cody que não teve quaisquer dificuldades ao longo do combate, fechando com algo pouco usual, um figure-four. ( C )

 

Cody Rhodes pede um microfone e… Promo Time!

Cody: Since No Mercy many things have happened to me. I lost my Intercontinental Championship that night, almost became World Champion and now I have to face one of the biggest challenges of my career in a match that clearly suits my opponent better than me, to recover the belt I lost. But I’m not one to complain about these kind of things. I’m focused, I’m training and as you just saw I’ve prepared some surprises. I’ve been training with my father, the American Dream, and he has helped me perfect this maneuver that he used over the years he was one of the best. And I’m proud to announce that I will have my father accompanying me to the ring at Survivor Series. (C+)

Para determiner o novo number 1 contender pelo TV Championship

Nigel McGuinness vs John Dalton

Mike Mizanin está na mesa dos comentadores para este combate, travando uma alargada discussão com The Rock. No que concerne à acção, foi equilibrada e muito técnica, com John Dalton a fazer um moonsault que o deixou a ele e ao adversário no chão no exterior do ringue. Foi nesta altura que Mike se levantou da mesa de comentadores, pegou numa cadeira e atacou os dois lutadores provocando o no contest. Fica assim sem contender para já… ( C )

 

 

OH YEAH!!! I could slam a tornado…

 

E aí vem Matt Hardy para o ringue… Bem este não é o Matt Hardy, mais parece uma mistura de gueisha com o professor chanfrado do Eddie Murphy… Quem quer que seja, tropeça a meio do caminho para o ringue e acaba a ir a rebolar uns bons metros. Quando chega ao ringue a câmara aproxima apercebemo-nos que debaixo daquela enormidade de pintura branca e da barriga postiça está Kofi Kingston.

 

Kofi Kingston: Hi, my name is Matt Hardy and I WILL NOT DIE!!! Unless I have an heart attack from all this fat… Some people ask why I haven’t been champion in the last few years. Have you ever asked how much it would cost the WWE to extend those title belts? Well then again, it would be more accurate to call the WWE Championship a world title, because it would be enough to measure the equator. Well, I’m getting hungry… Timekeeper, do you have a baconator? An hot dog? Oh damn, I’m getting hungry, sorry I have to go get something to eat… (A)

Highlanders vs The Colon Brothers

In the end, there can be only one… Bem aqui, não ficou nenhum. Os highlanders foram triturados pelos ex-campeões de equipas, que venceram em menos de 5 minutos sem qualquer dificuldade. (D+)

 

E nos bastidores estão James Mitchell, The Beast e Leviathan:

James Mitchell: Ken Kennedy… I have to give you merit on one thing. You want pain and you know where to get it. You keep coming and keep getting it. Combate #4

Ken Kennedy vs The Beast

O combate foi muito semelhante aos anteriores combates entre Leviathan e Mr. Kennedy. No final a vitória sorriu ao nativo de Green Bay que conseguiu acertar com o seu Kenton Bomb. (B-)

 

Após o combate, Leviathan que estava perto do ringue entrou em acção atacando o rival que ripostou com vários socos e pontapés, conseguindo atirar o demónio para fora do ringue com uma poderosa clothesline. Tal como aconteceu há duas semanas atrás, Mr. Kennedy parece preparado para tudo o que os discípulos de James Mitchell têm preparado contra ele. (A)

 

Estamos na porta do General Manager onde se ouve uma enorme gritaria. Entramos sorrateiramente e ouvimos Sheamus a falar com William Regal:

 

Sheamus: YOU GOM! YOU’RE DOING EVERYTHING YOU CAN TO MAKE ME LOSE MY TITLE. A STEEL CAGE? A DAMN STEEL CAGE… HOW COULD YOU DO THIS?

 

Regal: You fool, will you shut your dirty mouth? Stop screaming. This all started because you wanted to prove yourself, prove that you’re better than the legendary Triple Haitch, wasn’t that it? You have your big opportunity here. Everybody will earn a new respect for you if you can do this. It’s your fault, not mine.

 

Sheamus: Are you teasing me. I’m going to leave before I get suspended for what I intended to do right now…

 

Sheamus sai e logo que se ouve a porta bater, ouve-se Regal.

Necro Butcher vs CM Punk

Dois estilos diferentes que não cruzaram muito bem. CM Punk ganhou facilmente com o Anaconda Vise. (D+)

 

Após o combate, Punk foi pegar numa cadeira e atacou o braço de Necro Butcher várias vezes para depois voltar a prender o Anaconda Vise sem o largar até vários árbitros virem a ringue para os separarem. (D-)

 

Combate #6

WWE Tag Team Champions Mistico & Jay Lethal vs The True Experiment (Ron Killings & Elijah Burke)

Os campeões têm vindo a aumentar o seu arsenal de manobras conjuntas e estão cada vez mais entrosados. Os seus adversários são no entanto antigos campeões por múltiplas vezes e já não se precisam de preocupar com entrosamento há anos, pode-se até dizer que são… verdadeiramente experientes (YEAAAHHHH!). Agora mais a sério, Jay Lethal conseguiu um roll-up que lhe teria certamente dado a vitória não fosse o árbitro ter sido distraído por Orlando Colon que surgiu da rampa. Nesse momento, do público veio Eddie Colon que virou o roll-up, e quando o árbitro se virou contou mesmo a tempo a vitória de Elijah Burke. (B)

 

E agora é uma hora importante, é hora de… Randy Orton!!!

 

Orton: I have put a lot of thought on who will be accompanying me to the win at Survivor Series. I thought about many names. Kofi Kingston could have been on my team if he could win a match which seems he can’t and if I could trust him which I can’t. I know that he coincidentally will face Edge tonight in the main-event but he WON’T be in my team. So who can I trust in this hellhole? Well, the king of hell… James Mitchell. Being a man of his word I know I can count on him to have his two demons where and when I need them. So that makes a team of 3… I still needed two more. So where could I get two guys used to working as a team and who have a successful history? Well, I thought of one of the most dominant groups in WWE History. The two last members of my team will be a former World Champion, Montel Vontavious Porter and one half of the most successful teams of the last decade, Elijah Burke. Those are the men that will follow me to victory, at Survivor Series Edge will lose his smile. (A)

 

Main-Event (Combate #7)

Edge vs Kofi Kingston

Kofi Kingston levou nas trombas. Kofi Kingston levou dois spears. Kofi Kingston venceu o combate com o Trouble in Paradise. Edge não conseguiu que a contagem chegasse aos 3 com a primeira spear e quando acertou com a segunda foi distraído pelo facto de na rampa de entrada estarem os seus 5 adversários do combate de eliminação, quando se virou, obviamente encontrou o pé de Kofi Kingston e perdeu o combate. (B-)

 

 

E agora para acabar o show está na hora do VIP Lounge! Mais um bocado e MVP podia ter vindo directo da rampa para o apresentar.

HHH demorou quase nenhum tempo a levar a cabeça de MVP ao chão com o seu finisher, enquanto Sheamus pegava no seu cinto e fugia.

 

HHH: I beat this piece of s*** for weeks, he won’t disrespect me again, and that’s the lesson you should learn. In two weeks I will be in this ring raising THAT belt above MY head. And let me leave you all with this promise. I will prove that I still have it, and I will do it inside that steel cage when I face you.

Sheamus vai perder o titulo para o HHH.

Não vou comentar o show todo por partezinhos, senão não saio daqui, mas deixar alguns traços gerais.

 

Os aparentes pushs ao Kingston e Punk como heels gosto bastante, tal como ter o Rhodes nesse "limbo" do upper midcard em que até esteve próximo do título, mas que seria um upset se ele o conseguisse. Regal como GM é óptimo e tu dás-lhe muito boas falas, eu consigo "imaginá-lo" a falar :lol: Gosto bastante dos Tag Team Champions mas não vejo ninguém para os acompanhar neste momento.

 

Sheamus e HHH no top para mim é blhec, não gosto de nenhum deles, espero que seja algo que acabe por mudar nos próximos tempos.

O papel do Regal está muito bem feito, sendo as falas muito reais por assim dizer. Acho piada à feud do Kennedy com as duas bestas também mas 2 contra 1 coitado do Kennedy.

Um Kofi heel acho muita piada, principalmente as piadas para o Fatt Hardy :lol:

Também adorei a promo Punk vs Rhodes.

Quanto a HHH vs Sheamus, tens que usar o HHH pois ele anda a comer a patroa :lol:

Obrigado a todos pelos comentários. Começando pelo bdani, já percebi que ninguém gostou da feud do HHH com o Sheamus. Felizmente não é coisa que se vá prolongar muito mais.

Quanto à tua sugestão htc, já o MM me tinha dito o mesmo, até apontando o que tu fazes. Por acaso é algo que já devia ter feito, tenho um exemplo perfeito no teu primeiro post, e aquele índice de shows que tens também é capaz de ser boa ideia. Vou ver se trato disso quando chegar ao Survivor Series.

Por fim, o retornado( :mrgreen: ). Houve quem não achasse piada nenhuma ao Kofi, o que não me espantou, mas ainda bem que alguém achou piada, porque foi daquelas coisas que tentei imaginar enquanto escrevia e me deixou a rir sozinho às 2 da manhã. Quanto à última frase... Tudo dito. Quando a feud acabar, se me perguntarem eu explico melhor a ideia de meter estes dois juntos.

Edge announces his team for Survivor Series

 

WWE.com received an email from Edge that we transcribe next:

Edge: In the spirit of competition, I decided to announce my teammates for the 5 on 5 elimination match taking place at Survivor Series, live from Madison Square Garden. I have been approached by a lot of guys in the locker room, who wanted to join Team Edge, but I could only pick four. There were three guys who were so adamant about their will to fight alongside me that I couldn’t deny them the opportunity. Those three men are Ken Kennedy, Homicide & Hernandez. The last one wasn’t someone even I expected. The guy is a force of nature but he is not the talking type so when he came to me to make the team, I was truly surprised but he was a perfect fit. So to make 5, Bobby Lashley will be in the team.

 

WWE.com has accordingly updated the event’s card, as well as its poster, so that the whole teams are presented instead of just their captains:

Mike Goldberg: Welcome Ladies and Gentlemen to Monday Night Raw. I’m alongside The Rock and what a show we’ll have tonight.

 

The Rock: Great night Mike, here in the Patriot Center in Fairfax, Virginia. Survivor Series is just around the door, and tonight is the last stop.

 

Mike Goldberg: Indeed, but our main-event for tonight is reminiscent of our last big event, No Mercy.

 

The Rock: Yes, after getting into Triple H’s nerves for costing him the WWE Championship, Randy Orton will have to face one-on-one, The Game himself.

 

Mike Goldberg: And we can’t forget that this two haven’t faced each other in the last 19 months, and the last time they faced it was almost the end of Triple H’s injury after a career threatening injury. How will this play out for Sunday’s PPV is another big question mark. Well, and we go to the ring because we are set for our first match of the evening.

Cody Rhodes vs Claude

A estratégia de Cody foi semelhante à da semana passada, trabalhar as pernas do adversário, tentar o Figure-Four, mas numa das vezes a coisa correu mal, pois o Suíço aproveitou uma desconcentração para contrariar a tentativa de prender o Figure-Four num roll-up, que lhe deu a vitória. Mau presságio para Cody Rhodes para Domingo. Vale-lhe o facto de que nessa altura apenas submissions contarem. (B-)

 

Nos bastidores com Maria estão Nigel McGuinness e Dean Ambrose:

Maria: You guys are facing next a team made of John Dalton and Mike Mizanin. What…

 

Nigel: We both have had our battles against those guys so it is only natural that we become allies in this fight. We are also two new roosters in the poultry yard, so even though we will someday fight for the same corn, we will be taking care of our chickens together. Now let’s get into the ring. (D+)

Nigel McGuinness & Dean Ambrose vs John Dalton & Television Champion The Miz

O combate nem foi mau, o público é que pareceu mais preocupado com o que viria depois. Dean Ambrose e John Dalton deram show no ringue, Nigel foi o costume e Miz ganhou o combate após um Mizard of Oz ao inglês. (D+)

 

Passa um vídeo de hype à feud entre CM Punk e Cody Rhodes a terminar com as palavras “Who will tap out?”. (B+)

 

Combate #3

Johnny Jeter vs Intercontinental Champion CM Punk

Johnny tentou atacar rapidamente o campeão intercontinental, mas rapidamente Punk o apanhou no Uranage, prendou o Anaconda Vise e ganhou o combate. (D+)

 

CM Punk pega no microfone…

CM Punk: This is what I’m going to do to your boy. By the end of the evening, Cody will be crying in pain, taking painkillers just like you addicts. By the end of the day, it is poetic that your little hero is just like you all, an addict trying to get his fix, and he got the person to give him that. See you in New York, Cody. (B-)

Mordecai & Brian Majors vs The Outlaws

Brian Majors parecia meio deslocado aqui. Afinal de contas a principal história aqui tem sido feita por Mordecai e Chris Harris. Isto também se viu no combate, pois Brian mal entrou no combate. Mordecai preparou a Crucifix Powerbomb a Chris Harris, mas a luz voltou a falhar e Harris escapou para o tag ao parceiro. Lance Cade entrou determinado e levou logo com um big boot na boca para ficar determinadamente no chão. Pin, 1, 2, 3 e tá ganho para Mordecai (e Brian Majors). ©

 

Um vídeo anuncia que no Survivor Series, Kofi Kingston e Matt Hardy voltarão a encontrar-se no ringue. (B+)

 

Combate #5

Matt Hardy vs Ryan O’Reilley

Este combate durou um pouco, o irlandês deu luta, mas no fim a vitória sorriu a Matt Hardy que com o Twist of Fate seguiu em boas condições para Domingo para tentar a terceira vitória sobre Kofi. (C+)

 

Ainda antes de Matt sair do ringue aparece Kofi Kingston no Titantron.

Kofi: Hey Matt, I want you to see something. You know, I’ve been training for our next match and I have this Crash Test Dummy here… I called him Matt, ya’know because I really dig him. So…

 

O ângulo da câmara abre, e vê-se Kofi Kingston a acertar com o seu Trouble in Paradise e… a cabeça do boneco de testes a voar.

 

Kofi: This is you, 6 days from now. Don’t lose your head, man. (B+)

 

Combate #6

Dos Hombres Locos vs The True Experiment

Duas equipas que já foram campeãs mundiais da especialidade, aqui na WWE. São no entanto dois estilos diferentes, com os primeiros a serem mais na base da força bruta e os segundos mais calculistas. Aqui as contas saíram furadas, e os dois mexicanos ganharam a batalha. (C+)

 

Main-Event (Combate #7)

Triple H vs Randy Orton

Este foi um candidato a MOTY, sem qualquer dúvida. A química entre estes dois é incrível, o combate teve tempo, para cima de 15 minutos, mas infelizmente teve interferência no final. Após um tradicional Ref Bump quando Randy Orton tentou um Olympic Slam, empurrou o árbitro para fora do ringue. Quem aproveitou logo para aparecer foi Sheamus. O campeão Mundial apanhou Triple H desprevenido e… Irish Curse! Rapidamente acordou o Ref, Edge até já vinha a correr pela rampa, mas já não foi a tempo de evitar a vitória do rival sobre o King of Kings. (A*)

 

Edge e Randy Orton começaram a trocar socos num canto do ringue, Sheamus tentou fugir pela rampa, mas Triple H foi mais rápido e apanhou-o com um Spinebuster. De seguida foi buscar o seu sledgehammer, mas nesta altura já vinham do meio do público MVP, Elijah Burke, Leviathan e The Beast. Pela rampa desceram logo Ken Kennedy, Homicide, Hernandez e Bobby Lashley. (B)

 

O caos estava instalado, corpos a voar a cada canto do ringue, Sheamus escapou mesmo pelo meio da confusão e Triple H tentou ir atrás dele, mas já não se soube nada deles esta noite, Homicide e Hernandez acabaram pegados com MVP e Elijah Burke no exterior do ringue, no interior do ringue The Beast e Leviathan davam mais uma vez conta de Ken Kennedy, que no entanto com um mic check consegui arrumar Leviathan. SPEAR! The Beast com um Spear demolidor ao antigo campeão mundial! Quando The Beast se virou encontrou, olhos nos olhos Bobby Lashley. Após uma enorme troca de olhares, foi mesmo esta a imagem com que ficámos a fechar o show. (A)
