O experiente médio argentino Ibagaza trocou o Maiorca pelo Villarreal, confirmou o clube insular neste sábado. "Tinha dito ao presidente [do Maiorca] que iria abandonar a carreira aqui, mas recebi uma proposta muito interessante que não estava à espera. Espero que os adeptos entendam isto, pois sempre dei o máximo pelo clube", justificou o jogador.

 

Ibagaza construiu o seu nome no futebol espanhol com a camisola do Maiorca e, em 2003, transferiu-se para o Atlético Madrid. Após três épocas como colchonero, regressou aos insulares, onde previra terminar a carreira.

7. Ezequiel Garay (Racing Santander to Real Madrid)

What a capture! Barcelona seemed to have him in the bag, but hesitated a little too much as they waited for Frank Rijkaard to leave and a new coach to take charge. Madrid managed to snatch Sergio Ramos a few years ago, and what a signing that has turned out to be. This one may be no different.

 

6. Deco (Barcelona to Chelsea)

On the wrong side of 30, a first look suggests that he is past it, but nothing could be further from the truth. There is a fire that burns in him as we saw during Euro 2008, and he has a lot more to give to football. He is not what Frank Lampard is, as he will never score as many goals. But then, he is also everything Lampard is not. Superb creativity, a great eye for the game, and an ability to run the show that has seen him win the Champions League with two different clubs. Finally, Chelsea have a player who can orchestrate the pleasing football their owner wants. With Ballack and Essien set to play around him, it will be an ominous midfield.

 

5. Amauri (Palermo to Juventus)

Last Week: 4

 

The Brazilian-Italian striker made it to number three after earning himself a long overdue move to a top four club, but now slips down to five. He has already shown his potential with Palermo, and the prospect of him getting some top quality service from the Juve midfield is simply mouth-watering. Champions League, here he comes.

 

4. Daniel Alves (Sevilla to Barcelona)

Last Week: 3

 

Chelsea, Real Madrid, Liverpool, Manchester United – these are just some of the clubs that have queued up for him over the last 18 months or so. However, it is Barcelona who land him after some difficult negotiations with Sevilla. Perhaps a touch overpriced at 30 million euros (he would have been number one on this list at 20m), but then again, he is the best attacking full-back this world has seen since Roberto Carlos.

 

3. Samir Nasri (Marseille to Arsenal)

The highly rated French international is the latest to join the clan of young Gunners. Many view him as a replacement for Aliaksandr Hleb, while others go a step further and call him the next Zidane. He has had some problems with injuries, but let's hope those were exceptions as opposed to the rule. The prodigous playmaker joins in at number three.

The hottest young Croatian was snapped up by Spurs despite the interest of clubs such as Barcelona and Chelsea, and what a signing it has already turned out to be. Looks set to become the jewel in Juande Ramos' midfield next season. He remains number two on our list.

The underrated Frenchman was one of Arsenal's best players last season, and Milan's signing of him is most definitely the biggest coup of the summer thus far. That it was a free transfer makes it even better.

Até concordo, mas o Ambrosini quando deixar de ser titular, é para deixar de jogar á bola. Ele é jogador convencido, e não lhe deverá agradar nada que um " miudo " lhe roube o lugar. Assim sendo, e vendo a politica que o Milan segue, o mais provavel é que vá para la ser o suplente.

Acho que isso é demais. Flamini é um bom jogador, mas nunca me chegou a convencer no Arsenal, equipa que sempre apoiei, e portanto, assisti á maioria dos jogos que fizeram na ultima temporada. Golos nem ve-los, a unica coisa que ele faz certinho é o passe, mas tambem porque não arrisca. E a nivel defensivo, mesmo admitindo que o Gattuso baixou de nivel nos ultimos anos, ainda assim, está muitos pontos acima.

Santos contrata o atacante paraguaio Nelson Cuevas

 

O atacante paraguaio Nelson Cuevas, de 28 anos, foi contratado nesta quarta-feira (2) pelo Santos e já se apresenta no CT Rei Pelé, na quinta, para fazer os exames médicos e assinar contrato até o fim do ano, com preferência de renovação por mais seis meses.

 

A informação foi dada pelo empresário do jogador, Luizinho Nunes e confirmada pelo diretor de futebol do Santos, Luiz Antônio Ruas Capella. "Está tudo certo e o jogador se apresenta amanhã (quinta-feira)", disse o dirigente, sem entrar em detalhes sobre a negociação.

 

Cuevas nasceu em Assunção e o seu primeiro clube foi o Atlético Tembetary, em 1997. Um ano depois se transferiu para o River Plate, da Argentina, onde ficou até 2003. Ele fez dupla com Cabañas no América, do México, entre 2006 e 2007, e ainda teve passagens pelo futebol chinês, atuando pelo Inter Xangai, em 2003, e pelo Pachuca, do México, de 2004 a 2006.

 

Seu último clube foi o Libertad, do Paraguai. O novo parceiro de Kléber Pereira foi titular da seleção paraguaia nas Copas do Mundo de 2002 e 2006. Em 40 jogos pela seleção, o atacante marcou seis gols.
