NBA Draft 2011

Kyrie Irving - PG (Duke; 18 anos; 1,88m) [Comparação: Chris Paul]

MIN: 28,9

PTS: 17,4

FG: 53,2%

ASTS: 5,1

STLS: 1,5

BLKS: 0,6

Productive, efficient, unselfish, exciting—there's really no shortage of ways to describe the way Irving has performed thus far. He's managed to take a NCAA Tournament championship team—ranked as the best offense in college basketball—and make them even better, acting as their main facilitator, shot-maker and go-to guy. Dominant when needed, but still deferential enough to keep all of Duke's many other options happy (thus far), Irving has fit in as seamlessly as possible, making the transition to the NCAA-level look effortless.

To complete the picture, Irving not only has the skill-set teams look for in a franchise point guard, but he also has the attitude and intangibles. He plays with great maturity and an amazingly confident demeanor on the court, an almost cocky swagger that makes it impossible for even the most casual observer not to realize who the best player on the court is.

Perry Jones - SF/PF (Baylor; 19 anos; 2,10m) [Comparação: Tracy McGrady ; Andray Blatche]

Jones wows you with his terrific physical attributes—standing 6-10 or 6-11, with a great frame, long arms and incredible athleticism. Jones runs the floor like a deer, explodes off the ground as if he has a personal trampoline at his disposal, and is extremely fluid and reactive to everything that goes on around him.

Skill-wise, there is quite a bit to like here as well. We regularly saw Jones grab a rebound and then handle the ball up-court himself, often weaving in and out of traffic before dishing off a perfectly timed no-look pass right into the path of a teammate streaking towards the basket. He also has a very nice jump-shot, showing streaky range out to the 3-point line, but with the type of touch and mechanics that lead you to believe that he can develop this part of his game into a real weapon in time.

Jared Sullinger - PF (Ohio State; 18 anos; 2,03m) [Comparação: Elton Brand ; Kevin Love ]

With his terrific base and low center of gravity, Sullinger is constantly working to establish better post-position down low. Tough and extremely aggressive, he's not afraid to simply put his ass into a defender and go to work until he gets to where he wants to on the floor.

Once there, he has incredibly soft hands to catch pretty much anything thrown his way and an unbelievable awareness for where he is on the court relative to his teammates and opponents. Patient and confident, he has extremely polished footwork and excellent body control, showing a wide array of spins and counter-moves that help him create even higher percentage shots. With his feathery touch and ability to shoot with either hand, he doesn't miss very often despite the fact that he's rarely getting his shot off over the top of the defense.

Enes Kanter - PF/C (Kentucky; 18 anos; 2,06m) [Comparação: Al Jefferson]

BLKS: -

Able to establish deep position and showing an array of drop step moves and little pivots, Kanter has a knack for taking what the defense gives him and doing exactly what he needs to get the job done. Savvy beyond his years, Kanter excels at the rim for a player without outstanding athleticism.

Kanter’s offensive game appears to have expanded from his days with Fenerbahce. In addition to the incredible feel for scoring in the post that caught the attention of scouts years ago, he’s now capable of stepping to out the high-post and knocking down shots with solid consistency.

His body helps him fight for position on the block, and his physical nature allowed him to deny penetration when his man attempted to take him off the dribble. Once the shot goes up, Kanter does a nice job of sealing off his man and pursuing the ball.

Terrence Jones - SF/PF (Kentucky; 19 anos; 2,03m) [Comparação: Jeff Green]

terrence-jones.jpg

MIN: 29,4

PTS: 18,5

FG: 46,2%

REBS: 9,0

ASTS: 1,6

STLS: 1,2

BLKS: 1,8

The 6'8 18 year old has a very mature physical profile for his age, boasting a thick, well-built frame in both the upper and lower body with good length to boot. From an athletic standpoint, his muscle mass doesn't hold him back much at all, as he's quick off his feet even in stride off the dribble, explosive around the rim, and has a very good first step with the ball.

While Jones favors his finesse game perhaps a bit too much, he's capable of going up for strong dunks in traffic when he's built up enough momentum, elevating fairly effortlessly and not being shy about drawing contact, getting to the line at a very high rate, being amongst the top players in the NCAA in that category early on.

Derrick Williams - PF (Arizona; 19 anos; 2,05m) [Comparação: David West]

derrick-williams-ap.jpg

MIN: 28,5

PTS: 19,7

FG: 65,8%

REBS: 7,3

ASTS: 1,1

STLS: 1,1

BLKS: 0,8

Williams flashes some advanced moves in the post, can create separation with his spin move attacking the left block off the dribble, and is able to be fairly effective with his back to the basket by virtue of his physicality and touch alone, but still has some room to grow.

His ability to become more versatile on the whole boils down to his how consistent he can become as a shooter. Shooting 59.4% from inside the arc and a respectable 42% from the post, Williams proves to be very good at what he does offensively.

Donatas Motiejunas - PF (Treviso; 20 anos; 2,13m) [Comparação: Andrea Bargnani]

Donatas_motiejunas_didele2007.jpg

MIN: 28,1

PTS: 13,4

FG: 46,8%

REBS: 6,1

ASTS: 0,7

STLS: 1,1

BLKS: 0,3

Two things jump out at you immediately when comparing Motiejunas with how he looked last season: his comfort level offensively and improved body. He's added a solid 10-15 pounds of good weight to his frame over the summer, and is playing with as much confidence as we've seen since we first laid eyes on him when he was only 15-years old.

Motiejunas' improved frame has helped him considerably when it comes to scoring inside the paint, as he's doing a much better job of establishing post-position, and is in turn attempting much higher percentage shots and getting to the free throw line at an outstanding rate.

He's still the same incredibly skilled big man we've always known, with his terrific hands, touch and footwork, but now he's added a degree of physicality that compliments his finesse game quite well.

Harrison Barnes - SF (North Carolina; 18 anos; 2,03m) [Comparação: Luol Deng]

harrison-barnes1.jpg

MIN: 27,3

PTS: 11,8

FG: 37,4%

REBS: 4,0

ASTS: 1,5

STLS: 0,6

BLKS: 0,4

Showing prototypical physical tools for an NBA wing player, including excellent size, length and a frame that will fill out nicely in time, Barnes passes the look test and then some on first glance. Maybe not as freakish an athlete as some former #1 overall recruits, Barnes is still no slouch in that category, showing excellent fluidity and overall mobility, to compliment his excellent scoring tools.

Still an improving ball-handler, Barnes is already able to get to where he needs to on the floor thanks to the shiftiness he shows with the ball, combined with his long strides and ability to change directions quickly. He did a good job creating shots for himself in the mid-range area, and was able to convert some extremely difficult shots thanks to his excellent touch.

Jonas Valanciunas - C (Lietuvos Rytas; 18 anos; 2,11m) [Comparação: Andris Biedrins]

paveikslelis-9707-bg.jpg

MIN: 14,1

PTS: 7,8

FG: 73,2%

REBS: 5,2

ASTS: 0,2

STLS: 0,2

BLKS: 0,6

Fortunately for Valanciunas, he's an incredibly intense competitor, a boundlessly energetic player who never stops working for a moment and whose presence is constantly felt on the court.

He runs the floor extremely well, is quick off his feet and has no qualms whatsoever about throwing his body around in the paint. Not one to just stand around and wait for opportunities to come to him, Valanciunas wants to be productive all the time, which is a big reason he's been able to earn playing time in such a demanding environment this season, despite his obvious immaturity.

Kemba Walker - PG (U-Conn; 20 anos; 1,83m) [Comparação: Tim Hardaway]

walker_kemba_490.jpg

MIN: 35,6

PTS: 25,5

FG: 45,5%

REBS: 5,4

ASTS: 3,8

STLS: 2,2

BLKS: 0,2

Walker has always had terrific quickness and ball-handling ability, but it's only this year seemingly that he's really learned to use them at all times. Often quick to defer to teammates in his first two years at UConn Walker is embracing his role as the end-all, be-all offensive catalyst for the Huskies.

It's simply impossible for defenders to stay in front of him – both in transition and in the half-court. His aggressiveness with the ball, ability to change speed and direction instantaneously, and phenomenal body control allow him to knife through defenses effortlessly. He's not afraid to drive full steam into the paint and draw contact at the rim, either. He shows great strength and toughness around the basket and is getting to the free throw line at an exceptional rate.

E a actual ordem de escolha:

7. Detroit Pistons

8. Milwaukee Bucks

Fui ver onde jogou o Hardaway que não me lembrava(tinha a ideia que tinha andado por orlando lol) e deparei-me com isto:

Hardaway holds the NBA record for the worst single-game shooting performance in NBA history, having gone 0 for 17 in a 106–102 victory against the Minnesota Timberwolves on December 27, 1991.[4]
