O General Manager do Monday Night Raw, utilizou as redes sociais para promover os seguintes combates para o show da próxima semana.

- Os Street Profits vão defrontar a Lucha House Party, e a equipa vencedora terá um combate pelos Raw Tag Team titles frente aos Geniuses;

- Teremos os dois combates das semi-finais do torneio para decidir quem vai desafiar Sami Zayn pelo Intercontinental title no Battleground, Aleister Black irá enfrentar Roderick Strong, enquanto que Daniel Bryan irá enfrentar Shelton Benjamin;

- Além disto, teremos os dois combates que já foram confirmados na última Raw, serão eles Apollo Crews vs Ali, que fará a sua estreia na red brand desde que foi transferido no draft. O combate começa com Mercedes Martinez e Charlotte a fazer um Lock Up no meio do ringue e Mercedes mostra ter mais força mandando Charlotte para o chão.
A Queen não parece surpreendida e volta ao ataque conseguindo ganhar vantagem com vários pontapés nas pernas de Mercedes.
Charlotte vai dominando o combate com várias rest holds e submissões nas pernas de Mercedes preparando-a para o Figure Four mas é aqui que Charlotte comete o seu maior erro.
Numa tentativa de prender o Figure Four Mercedes consegue reverter para um Small Package! 1 2 3!! Mercedes Martinez vence Charlotte Flair! Pela 2ª semana consecutiva Mercedes consegue levar a melhor sobre a ex-campeã.

Inicio agressivo de Matt Riddle que ataca Pete Dunne com vários pontapés obrigando Dunne a sair do ringue para se reagrupar mas Riddle não fica à espera e vai atrás dele para fora do ringue mandado-o contra os degraus.
Riddle mete rapidamente Dunne no ringue e tenta o cover mas Dunne safa-se na contagem de 2.
Riddle vai dominando o combate até que Pete Dunne acerta com um Snap Suplex mudando o complexo do combate, agora é Dunne que está por cima mas cada vez que acerta um move tenta o cover sendo que Riddle se vai safando sempre aumentando a frustração de Pete Dunne.
Riddle faz-se valer da sua força e consegue colocar Dunne em posição para o Bro to Sleep mas as pernas de Dunne acertam no arbitro que fica no chão durante uns segundos.
Dunne acerta com um Low Blow em Riddle e de seguida com o Bitter End. O arbitro levanta-se lentamente, 1 2.. Riddle consegue-se safar! Dunne não acredita e vai discutindo com o arbitro até Riddle se levantar. Com Riddle já em pé Dunne olha para o arbitro e pergunta-lhe "are you watching?" e acerta com outro Low Blow. Desta vez o arbitro vê e acaba o combate por DQ.

Dunne vai-se embora do ringue a sorrir enquanto Riddle fica no chão magoado com o que acabou de acontecer.

Passamos para o backstage onde vemos Pete Dunne a passar por Tyler Bate e Trent Seven que tentam falar com ele.

William Regal - I just had a little chat with Triple H about the NXT Tag Team Division and he told me to book this match for tonight.
Tyler Bate and Trent Seven will face Alex Shelley and Kushida and the winner will get a Tag Team Title match in a near future.

O combate começa bastante rápido com Tyler Bate e Kushida a trocarem moves entre si sem que nenhuma equipa consiga vantagem.
Mas antes que o combate se desenvolva Andrade e Angel Garza aparecem e atacam Trent Seven e Alex Shelley que estavam no apron à espera para entrar no combate.
Com Kushida e Bate no ringue Garza e Andrade agarram em duas cadeiras e atacam os dois que estavam no ringue. Zelina entra no ringue com um microfone.

Zelina Vega - Nobody is comming for OUR tag team titles! Do you ear me Regal? Or Triple H, i don't care. We just won these a few weeks ago we don't want to fight for them again this soon. We are the champs, we deserve some respect and some off time.
William Regal - Oh sunshine you just made my job so much easier. See we don't need to have a match for you to have to defend those titles and since you did this there's something i'm gonna do now.
At TakeOver is going to be Andrade and Angel Garza, the NXT Tag Team Champions against Tyler Bate and Trent Seven.. and Alex Shelley and Kushida in a triple threat elimination match!

Bianca Belair - I just wanna be the first one to congratulate Rhea Ripley on becoming the number one contender for my title.

Rhea Ripley começa a atacar Bianca Belair que não a deixa sem resposta e as duas vão trocando socos até que vários arbitros chegam ao ringue para separar as duas.

Velveteen Dream vs Damien Priest

Velveteen Dream começa o combate com uma chapada em Damien Priest que tenta uma Clothesline mas falha e quando vem das cordas é atingido por um Dropkick de Velveteen.
Dream sobe até ao canto para tentar o Purple Rain Maker mas Priest consegue ser mais rápido e atira-o de cima do canto para o meio do ringue e consegue ganhar vantagem.
Várias rest holds de Priest para tentar dar um ritmo mais lento ao combate enquanto domina Velveteen que eventualmente consegue voltar ao combate acertando com o Dream Valley Driver.
Velveteen tenta mais uma vez subir ao canto mas por trás dele aparece Finn Balor que o atira para o meio do ringue. O arbitro acaba o combate por DQ devido a intreferência de Finn Balor.
 

Com Dream no chão Priest e Finn vão atacando o campeão até que Matt Riddle aparece para ajudar Velveteen Dream.
Dream e Riddle conseguem aguentar-se mas por trás aparece Jordan Devlin que ataca Dream com uma cadeira, são agora 3 contra 2 e Dream e Riddle não conseguem aguentar até que aparece Isaiah "Swerve" Scott para equilibrar os números obrigando os outros 3 a sair do ringue.
O show acaba com Dream, Riddle e Swerve a desafiar Balor, Priest e Devlin a entrar no ringue enquanto estes vão subindo a rampa.

Apesar de o Dunne ser top sozinho, acho que com o Bate seria excelente. Não é fácil de bookar de forma correta, mas se o Ruas quiser ir por aí, tem a hipótese de fazer um angle de ouro.

Também não gostei, foram 3 dq's e uma vitória com small package, mas como o Ruas não costuma fazer isso, vou acreditar que foi só uma coincidência de isto ter calhado tudo no mesmo programa.

Neste momento tou numa de apostar no Dunne a solo. Mas nunca se sabe se os Mustache não mudam de atitude consoante o que (não) conseguirem fazer.

E até gosto de ter a Charlotte aqui, a questão não é essa. Tou só a tentar usa-la como acho melhor.

Uma gaja que em menos de 10 anos tem quase tantos títulos como o pai teve na carreira toda não tem muito mais a fazer a não ser pôr outro talent over.

E por falar em promos, ninguém ligou ao jab que o Ciampa mandou ao Gargano :sad:

Em relação aos DQ's, também eu achei que foram demais mas acabei por me meter num beco sem saída com os combates.

Não queria a Mercedes a ganhar logo duma forma decisiva à Charlotte, acho que não era muito realista e a feud ainda tá a começar.
Em relação ao Dunne e o Riddle era f*dido meter outra vez o Dunne a perder depois de ter sido ele a sofrer o pin na semana passada. Depois como é que continuava a feud? E não podia ter o Riddle a perder para depois ir desafiar o Priest pelo NA.
No tag queria mesmo arranjar maneira de fazer o 3 way.
E no main event é champ x champ e era um bocado mau ter um deles a perder. E também queria fazer o setup para um 3v3 para a próxima semana.

pois eu estou a falar mas tb uso a minha fair share de dqs. épá para enhance uma storyline são boas. Uma vitoria clean quase que acaba com uma feud. Perdeu, perdeu. Mas se não perdeu/não ganhou/houve intervenção externa dá pano para mangas.

Eu costumo evitar ao máximo os DQ's, assim como as interferências ou vitórias com roll-up. Que me esteja a lembrar, nestes dois meses, acho que só tive duas vitórias com roll-up (ambas do EC3) e nesta semana o combate de tag team que acabou em count-out, mas nesse caso é mesmo para desenvolver a gimmick dos novos campeões.

Isso acontece demasiadas vezes na realidade, então eu evito mesmo.

The show starts with Goldberg entering, accompanied by the 24/7Champion, The Gronk.

Goldberg – I’ve got to be honest: I’m in a phase where I get more joy off teaching others than performing myself. That’s why I opened a Wrestling School back home. And that’s why I took The Gronk under my wing. Because I see tremendous potential in him, future world champ potential, and I think he needs guidance from someone in the business. (He pauses, as The Gronk embraces him, emotionally)

Goldberg – However he is looked upon as a stranger to the business. By the boys in the back, online critics, even you in the crowd. I had the same problem when I first came up, I was the NFL guy that washed up on wrestling. And I’ve been that to a number of people even to this day, even after I’ve been countless times World Champ, in the two biggest promotions ever, and maybe achieved the status of one of the Icons of the business. (The crowd cheers for him)

Goldberg – So I can relate with him, and if I can lend him my expertise, by God that’s what I’ll do. And for others out there that are willing to. But I’m up here with all this talk, and I know all you’re thinking right now is “Goldberg, what about the Universal title shot at Backlash?” (he points the mic to the crowd who religiously repeats the question)

Goldberg – To be honest, I didn’t even want a new title shot. It was just that Roman speaking about the Universal Championship like he was sure he would’ve beat me at Mania, and Sheamus also running is mouth at me. So I wanted to teach them a lesson, not really having another title shot at Braun’s title, who cleanly beat my twice for the title in the last couple months

Goldberg – See, a few weeks ago, GM Kurt Angle (the crowd boos the mere reference to him) hosted an unauthorized Retirement Party for me – apparently, he does a lot of unauthorized stuff – which I crashed to beat him up. But for all Kurt Angle’s shortcomings he was kinda right in that maybe I can’t hang in the ring with the top guys from today any longer. (a gasp is heard) And that match a couple of weeks ago, was perhaps the proof. Yeah, I’ve won, but only because Strowman intervened.

Goldberg – Therefore, I am hereby forfeiting the title shot at Backlash, letting someone hungrier to have a title run, have it. Now apparently, GM Kurt Angle isn’t here tonight, so I think it’s up to me to choose whom I pass the title shot to. (Roman Reigns tune comes up he enters)

RR – Hey man, first of all, lemme just tell you I’m sorry if it seemed to you I was taking for granted that I would have beat you. No such thing, dog. I’ve got nothing but respect for you, an icon of our industry, Secondly, I admire that posture giving back to the business, by coaching young talents, like my man The Gronk there (Sheamus’ tune comes up)

Sh – Oh zip it, both of you (boos) Zip you all as well (turning to the crowd). All this whining, all this “Oh I don’t want to hog opportunities, oh I love the business so much”, It’s all crap. You (turns to Goldberg), you don’t want to be embarrassed once again at the hands of the Monster Among Men, and let the world see that the Icon Goldberg is now just plain Oldberg (The Gronk moves to react to that but Goldberg stops him),

Sh – And you (turning to Roman) you come out here “oh I’m sorry I hurt your feelings, you’re my hero”, but we all know damn well that you only want that title shot, like me!

Goldberg – Listen Sheamus, I get you. You were sort of screwed at Money in the Bank. And you want another shot. It would be fair from me to just pass my title shot to you. (The crowd boos Sheamus) On the other hand, Roman did have a title shot at Mania, that COVID took away. I would give it to you both. However, I have but one title shot to give. The only sensible thing to do, is to you both having a match later on, to see who’s going to Backlash. (they both agree; Goldberg reaches for a handshake, Roman accepts but Sheamus refuses and leaves)

(as they all are leaving, RTruth comes out and tries to rollup on The Gronk, but Gronk kicks out. RTruth, regrets to have wasted his opportunity like this and bolts out. The Gronk was about to pursue him, but Goldberg advises against.)

(Camera cuts to the back, Elias is confronted by King Corbin)

KC – Hey, you! Where is your buddy Slater? I’m over this! I want my crown back!

E – Look, I talked to him, and he is willing to give you the crown, IF, you can beat me in the ring, next!

KC – You know what would make it interesting for your standpoint? If we combine it with your spot at the US title match at Backlash. If I win, I get your shot and MY crown. (Elias hesitates for a bit, by eventually agrees).

King Corbin vs Elias w/ 'King' Slater

Corbin gets off with a couple of punches to Elias’ face, then irish whips him to the turnbuckles and chops hi the chest. Then grabs his scepter, but is stopped by the ref who admonishes for a potential dq. Slater comes from behind and grabs the scepter and taunts him “I only lack the royal robe now”. This distraction is profited by Elias with a couple of knife edge chops, then a jawbreaker. He picks Corbin up, by he escapes and pushes Elias who tumbles over the ref.

Corbin takes advantage of the ref bump and goes to town on Elias, with any number of illegal moves, he applies an armbar, almost going to the point of breaking his opponent arm, while shouting at Slater “it could all end if you give me back my regalia!” “Uh, don’t you pity your friend”. Elias taps out repeatedly, by the ref is still out. Slater comes back to the apron and goes to interfere, but a smart Corbin anticipates his move, drops the hold and grabs the scepter off Slater’s hands.

As soon as the ref regains consciousness, King Corbin goes to the ropes and bashes “King” Slater in the head with the scepter. No dq is awarded as Slater is not a competitor. But he is surprised by a dropkick by Elias, and is thrown off the ring. He argues with the referee saying that was a cheap shot, deserving of dq, the ref doesn’t want to hear it. He’s incensed over that decision and motions to leave. The ref says that will be cause for a count out. Corbin doesn’t care and slowly heads off.

The ref begins the count out, when he reaches the count of eight Slater and Elias are already in the ring celebrating, as Elias is guarding his left arm from the attack earlier. As the count of 9 his heard Corbin dashes quickly to the ring applies a Deep 6 to the unaware Elias, big boots Slater out, covers, 1, 2, 3! Corbin is going to challenge for the US Championship at Backlash. Plus, he’s going to get his crown back

Miz – Welcome to most see program him WWE History, welcome to Miz TV! I’d like to start by welcoming my stunning wife, Maryse, back to regular programming.

Mrs – Thank you darling. So good to be back at SmackDown, and I’m ready to compete, not just being a valet!

JM – Oh we know, we’ve seen your training routine! Speaking of which one of our guests is also a woman that said exactly that: she’s here on SmackDown to compete, now just being a Valet for her husband.

Miz – Welcome, our guests tonight, the Almighty Lashley, and the dashing Lana! (Their music plays, but only Lana enters)

JM – So…you’re alone? Where’s Bobby?

Lana – Oh asked me to apologize to you deeply, he respects you a lot, but apparently something big came up, and he is conferencing with Dolph Ziggler and Titus at the back. You know, boys’ stuff.

Mrs – Now Lana, fans online have been talking for a few months now, that you have been holding Lashley back. What do you say to that?

Lana – Fans are morons Maryse. They’ll say any crap. Of course it’s not true. Some people also say that you’re the cause of your husband and Jonny here having lost the titles. Tell me, do you think that is true (Maryse says no) Exactly!

JM – Now, but Lana…

(Johnny Gargano’s tune sounds. He enters to a huge pop from the crowd, No one was expecting this. He comes accompanied by his wife, Candice LeRae)

JG – Thank you (the cheers continue for a couple minutes; people just lost their minds), Thank you. Now, I was at the back waiting for a cue to come in and present myself to you, and it crossed my mind that this was the perfect time. No one wants to listen to this segment of two lifelong cheats, and two trophy wives who have no place in a wrestling ring. (the crowd supports these statements and cheer him on)

JG – So, I thought I should just barge in, and present you to a woman who does! This is my lovely wife Candice, who is one of the best wrestlers in all of the women’s division, and she heard that the women’s Tag Team titles were now an exclusive of Friday Night SmackDown, and she said she was eager to come here, find a partner and plight for those titles in the near future.

Candice – So I’ve handed my resignation letter to William Regal down in NXT, and came here, with my lovely husband, Johnny Gargano, aka Johnny TakeOver, aka Johnny NXT, aka Johnny Wrestling.

JM – Wow! Wow! Hold on! The only Johnny out here who can use a bunch of monikers it’s me! I’m Johnny Nitro, Johnny Impact, Johnny Mundo, Johnny Blaze, all that. Your husband right there is a poser and an imitator.

(A brawl ensues with Gargano, ducking and attack by Morrison, sweeping the Miz off the Ring with a Clothesline, on his way back dropkicking Morrison out of the ring as well. Candice DDT’s both Lana and Maryse. Several security guards pop up to separate the brawl. In the end the Garganos stand victorious, while the others retreat vowing vengeance.

MC – Welcome back, we have a very special match right now.

CG – That’s right. A few weeks back, the Viking Raiders interrupted a celebration by Bray Wyatt, Bo Mulligan and nWo John Cena, so last week Bray and Bo challenged Erik and Ivar.

MC – If they win, they take the Viking Raiders’ spot in the Fatal Four way match at Backlash for the SmackDown Tag Team Championships.

Bray Wyatt & Bo Mulligan vs Viking Raiders

Bray and Bo make an eerie entrance but the Vikings seem unfazed. Ivar and Bray start the bout, with Ivar body slamming Bray. Then getting some momentum and shoulder tackling Bray. Wyatt looks taken by surprise. Bo tags himself in, so does Erik. They lock arms, and Erik wins the test of strength, then delivers a couple of shots to Bo. Bo retreats to the corner and he and Bray regroup. Bray lifts Bo’s spirits, by saying “you got this, bro, you’re The Tank”. It works. A refreshed Bo dominates Erik, the Ivar, then Erik again for a number of minutes, with a couple of unsuccessful covers. Finally Ivar is tagged in and applies a headlock take down, covers, 1, 2, Bray interferes.

Bray is tagged in, and looks more focused than before. He dominates the match, and destroys both members of the Viking Raiders in quick succession. Finally he applies a running shoulder tackle to Ivar, then picks the downed Ivar, kisses his forehead and connects with a Sister Abigail. Covers, Bo Mulligan prevents Erik’s intervention, 1, 2, 3. Bray and Bo are going to challenge for the SmackDown Tag Team Championships at BackLash. Maybe this was the “Greater glories” the Fiend promised Bo Mulligan last week when he urged him to relinquish the 24/7 title.

JM - Hey! If the tag titles are to be defended only on SmackDown, we want a shot. We already turned in our letters of resignation on NXT.

MS - We are a true team, for years now – unlike all y’all - and we deserve to be champions

(Deonna Purrazzo enters)

DP – I also want a title shot. I was not being used correctly at NXT and decided to take the leap of faith of terminating my contract there, and coming to SmackDown, after GM Kurt Angle’s call a couple a weeks back

MS – Yeah. But it is a tag team title. Where’s your team mate?

DP – I was hoping to get one....

(Taynara Conti enters, accompanied by Eh Nois, the team of Arturo Ruas and Cezar Bonomi)

TC – I can team up with you, Djionna!

(An all-out brawl ensues. Alexa and Nikki stay away from it. After a while, Alexa pulls Nikki out of the stage, as security is called up once again to interrupt matters)

Asuka & Sasha Banks vs Liv Morgan & Lacey Evans (first Blood)

Kairi Sane as Special Guest Referee

Asuka and Lacey start, and the Sassy Southern Belle’s rage is noticeable as she just pounds the Empress time and time again. She tries the tag with the Champion numerous times, but Sasha looks uninterested in joing the match. Liv doesn’t wait around and and goes outside the ring bashing Sasha’s face into the ring post. Sasha tells Kairi to disqualify Liv, but she doesn’t pay her attention. In the ring Asuka manages to shake Lacey off, goes on the offensive, eventually connecting with several spin kicks and clotheslines. Covers, Kairi counts rapidly, 1,2,3, They celebrate, oblivious to the rules of the match, apparently. The ring announcer explains that to win one must cause one member of the opposite team to bleed.

They don’t have time to realize that, as Liv and Lacey double team Asuka for a long time. Sasha refuses to intervene. Kairi intercedes time and time again, enraging Liv and Lacey, saying she is overstepping her bounds. Eventually Sasha enters the ring with a sledgehammer in hand, looking smug. But she is careless and is disarmed by Liv. Sasha cowers in the corner, pleading with the not to hurt her pretty face.

Kairi puts herself between Sasha and her opponents, pleading them no to use the weapon. They hesitate. Kairi appears to comfort Sasha with a hug, as the champion is disturbed by the potential attack. But suddenly she immobilizes Sasha’s arms in the corner, as Asuka gains speed from the other side of the ring, connecting with several double knee facebreaker. The Kabuki Warriors have double crossed the Champion. Liv and Lacey are paralyzed with confusion. Sasha is bleeding from the mouth, and Kairi calls for the bell. Asuka and Sasha lost, but Asuka and Kairi celebrate. Asuka grabs the title, she is making her intentions clear. Liv and Lacey brawl with the Kabuki warriors, and all hell breaks loose as the break comes.

MC – Welcome back, time to define the last team in the fatal four way for the SmackDown Tag Team Championships at Backlash. Let me remind you that AoP, The Colóns and Bray Wyatt and Bo Mulligan have already booked their spot.

CG – And now the Upper-class Knights Impressing Peaseants go toe to toe against Smyle Tyme.

Drake and Gallagher enter, all stiff British upper-class mannerisms and music, getting a ton of boos from the crowd. When the Smyle Tyme theme comes up, only RTruth comes out. He says his partner, NoWayJose is still injured, so he must forfeit. Then…

Eh Nois comes out, accompanied by Taynara, she takes the mic:

TC – Oh no, no, no, gentxi! When I spoke with Generau Manager Kurt Angle earlier this week, to come to SmackDown we agreed to have Arturo and Cezar come as weu, and that they would have tag team titles opportunities. And I guess now is just a good time to start as anyone.

(UKIP protest a bit at first, but then Drake says “We’re a couple of Upperclass gentlemen, and we’ll prove that we can beat up any peasant that has the nerve to present themselves here”)

The Brazilians show great heart, but also a lot of inexperience, and Drake quickly dominates Ruas, with some high flying moves and quick footwork, culminating with a Tilt-a-whirl DDT. Bonomi doesn’t fare any better, and Jack Gallagher connects with a couple dropkicks and some Sentons. Eventually Ruas makes a comeback with some botched submission attempts, but Drake manages to kick out. Gallagher washes off Bonomi and Taynara at ringside, as Drake connects with his version of a Stump Puller, which is called Knighthood, and makes Ruas submit. UKIP is the final team to book their place at BackLash. Eh Nois failed to make an impression on their debut. Maybe Taynara can fare better next week.

(Camera cuts to the back, where Kofi is approached by The Messiah and his Disciples)

Kofi – Whaddyou want?

Seth – Chill, Kofi, chill. Now I know you may think you’re mad at us, but deep down you know you’re really mad at your partner for getting himself in matters that do not concern him, and losing focus on your tag team. I’ve heard what you said about winning more tag titles and tying with The Dudleys in all time titles won. I admire that passion, that will to win. Maybe, some elements on your team don’t have the same passion.

Kofi – Hey, man thread carefully, that’s my boy you’re talking about. I have here five reasons to shut your mouth (he waves his hand)

Seth – Chill, Kofi, I’m just talking. But let’s get real. Y’all have wasted two tag team title tournaments in a row, because some members of your team are not focused on that. Now the New Day are supposed to be one of the best tag teams in WWE history. And you have just floundered two title shots like some amateurs. In the first round in each tournament. And I get the feeling only you were bothered by it. For Messiah’s sake, you even poisoned the Usos a couple months ago, just so they wouldn’t tie with the New Day in title runs!

Kofi – Hey, I did n…

Seth – Oh come, on Kofi, are you going to deny it? I know it, you know it, the whole world knows it! But hey, I admire that move! I really do. That’s the move of a champion. Someone who’s willing to do whatever to get the win!

Kofi – I swear to God (Rollins interjects “To Messiah”! and points to himself) I didn’t plan it like that. Something went wrong. It was just a prank, I didn’t put any poison in those pancakes! I dunno what happened

Seth – It’s ok Kofi. You can confess your Sins to me. I Am the Messiah, I do not judge and cast out the sinner, I understand and embrace him. And you’d be more than welcome in our Liturgy. Just think about it.

Sheamus vs Roman Reigns (n.º 1 contender for the Universal Title)

MC – Welcome to the main event, with us on commentary former number one contender Goldberg and his protegee, 24/7 Champion, The Gronk.

CG – Now that you see them out there in the ring, do you have any regrets on relinquishing that spot at BackLash?

Goldberg – None whatsoever, Corey. I did the right thing. I do regret I didn’t have the chance to fight either of those incredible competitors in a proper one-on-one match with no interferences, especially Roman, who I should’ve fought at WrestleMania 36, but hey, I know there will be a chance somewhere down the road.

The match starts, and an energetic Sheamus pounds Roman early on, eventually connecting with a brogue kick, covers, 1, 2, Roman kicks out. Roman is still buzzing when Sheamus applies an Alabama Slam, them a Springboard kick, then Shamus irish whips Roman to the corner, picks up speed, but Roman intercepts him with a quick Spear, almost tearing Sheamus in two.

On commentary Corey asks which spear is better, Roman’s of Goldberg’s, and the Icon says that to clear it up Cory should volunteer to take a couple of spears from both wrestlers to see for himself, which shuts Corey up. In the ring Sheamus is now at the mercy of Roman, who is energized by the audience, connects with a Superman punch, goes for the cover, but…

Outta nowhere Bobby Lashley and his pals Dolph Ziggler and Titus O’Neil pop up on the ring. Ziggler and Titus guard the entrance while Lashley goes berserk on the competitors. He shoulder-drives Roman to a corner, then gutwrench, picks Sheamus up and applies a devasting Dominator. Turns his focus to Roman and picks in up and delivers a vertical Lashley Supplex.

Meanwhile Goldberg is incensed on what he is seeing and goes to put a stop to it. Enters the ring goes for a spear at Ziggler, but Ziggler moves and kicks Goldberg in the mouth, which knocks him out cold. Ziggler taunt him “It’s payback Goldie!”. As The Gronk was climbing the Apron Titus The Titan knocks him from behind right in to the ring pole, then pushes him against the steep steps. Covers him, demands that he referee counts, he does so, 1, 2, 3,  Titus O'Neil is the new 24/7 champion.

Back in the ring Lashley is applying his full nelson LashLock on Roman who is out, the ref tries to separate, to no avail, and the referee ends the match in a No contest. Lashley stands victorious, Ziggler is saying “I told you, you should be Champion”. The crowd boos. They continue to assail the downed performers. Lashley picks up a mic:

BL – Ziggler is right. I should be champion. You’ve just been first hand witnesses of that fact. I am the one who’s going to BackLash. And I’ll turn it into “BackLashley”!

Suddenly the time keeper gets up, approaches the ring, takes out his hat, his sunglasses and a wig. It was GM Kurt Angle all along! Was he hiding there the whole time??

KA – Enough! This program has been an unruly mess. If the McMahons needed any proof how badly this show needs me, tonight’s anarchy proves just that. Now back to you all up there. I’ve seated here all night, and I got to hear your cases for why should any of you be the number one contender at BackLash. And I decree the following:

Next week, each of you will get the chance to book his spot in the Universal title match against Braun Strowman. Lashley, if you defeat Cedric Alexander and RTruth next week in a handicap match WITH NO OUTSIDE INTERFERENCEs, you’ll be the one. Roman, if you defeat Goldberg in a Spear versus Spear Match, you’ll be the one. Sheamus, you’ll be the one if you defeat a surprise opponent.

BL – What if we all win our matches?

KA – If so, at Backlash, we will have a Fatal Four Way for the Universal Championship!

Epá quero pintar o Goldberg numa positive light, agora que o fim se aproxima. Por isso é que vem essa história de escola de wrestling, de give back to the business. E para rub on essa luz positiva no Gronk (aqui não volta para a NFL. aliás, é mesmo o tipo de gajo que o Vince quereria na WWE. um que transcende as barreiras do wrestling. Só precisa de quem faça dele credivel. Eis que me surgiu a ideia de o emparelhar com o Goldberg)

Ou melhor, fazem. encerram-na. E se quiser que uma storyline continue tem de haver qulaquer coisa que fique atravessado na garganta

"It's not usual to know almost every match of the card before Raw, but lately that has been the strategy to promote the show, and I gotta say I'm excited for next monday.

I believe both matches of the semi-finals of the tournament will be great, especially Aleister Black vs Roderick Strong, on the other match, Daniel Bryan vs Shelton Benjamin is a interesting clash of different styles, Bryan doesn't know how to have a bad match and Shelton has been having more TV time and I'm curious to see if he can capitalize on that.

Speaking of Shelton, he got Apollo Crews a match against Ali, and I don't know what I'm more curious about, seeing Ali on Raw or the developments between Shelton Benjamin and Apollo Crews.

We also have a match to determine the 1# contenders for the Raw Tag Team titles, on one side we're gonna have the Street Profits, former champions who lost the titles in a pretty weird way, and on the other Lucha House Party, who technically have a victory over The Geniuses, by count-out. The current champions have been using some shameful tactics so I'm not sure if they won't crash this match.

Last but not least, a 9-Women Battle Royal to determine who will face Becky Lynch for the Raw Women's title at Battleground, and I love this, because they are featuring every woman in the division and giving TV time and opportunities to all of them, and since it is a Battle Royal it's more complicated to pick a favourite, but I'd say that those who get to this match with more momentum are Shayna Baszler, Ruby Riott, Nia Jax and Bayley, but we can't forget the athletic hability of Naomi, or the IIconics that will be working together, as well as Sarah Logan who will probably be working side by side with Ruby Riott. And there's also Mandy Rose, if you overlook her, she might cause a surprise"

Gosto de ver que as opiniões são diferentes, é sinal que não está a ser óbvio.
