It's cleanup time for the WWE

 

From what WNW has gathered, major changes have been made to WWE's roster, more specifically, to their developmental system's roster. It was known for a long time, that the feeling internally was that there were far too many people on developmental, so it seems that the following talents have been let go:

Chris Rombola, Jonny Storm, Sultan Kaffik, Steve Oliver, Jenidee, Joey Munoz, Hade Vensen, Incredible Chuck, Chris the Bambikiller, Super Gladiador, The Giant Kong, Kristina Kowalski, The Shredder, Chris Carnage, Chris Funk, Voodoo Man, Slyk Wagner Brown and Jennifer Fit

Now, on the opposite direction, it seems that in the next few months, there will be a huge influx of talents being called to the main roster. Some of the names that have been brought up in internal conversations are Joe Hennig, Drew Galloway, Michael Elgin, Daniel Rodimer, Jurgen Kohlman, Toa Maivia, Jumpin Jeff Jeffrey, Kenny Omega. There's also the case of Davey Richards, who seems to be bound for a call-up very soon.

Also, very close to signing a developmental deal with WWE, is the former NWA World Champion Ricky Steamboat's son, Ricky Steamboat Jr..

We here in WNW welcome our new developmental overlords.

Faltavam poucas horas para o Summerslam… Há um ano estava a pensar no que fazer dali para a frente com a companhia, quando começasse na noite seguinte. Neste momento tinha outro tipo de problemas em mãos. As coisas nos últimos meses correram bem, mas muita coisa estaria em jogo neste PPV… em especial o que iria acontecer a algumas das nossas figuras de proa, entre o próximo mês, e Março… Pode parecer cedo, mas para mim os planos para a Wrestlemania devem estar pelo menos em estado de rascunho, por alturas do Summerslam. Onde vou, e como lá chego?

 

Punk: DWAYNE!? You were going to fuck me over, and not wouldn’t even fucking tell it to my face?

 

Eu: Calm down, man. I was going to talk to you, but I had to clear my mind before it. You are not getting screwed with how we booked you tonight… If you let me explain…

 

Punk: Actually, I do want you to explain… I want you to explain to me, how the hell are you not burying me, booking me to lose to Triple H and tapping out to close the show?

 

Eu: There were three ways this was going down…

 

Punk: And no other because…

 

Eu: Because I’m not booking this thing alone… Nobody, and I mean nobody accepted a fourth scenario…

 

Punk: And those three fantastic options were…

 

Eu: First, you were going over Cody Rhodes, and you would end the show as WWE Champion, but… you would have to put Triple H over… clean. So, instead of Cody going after the title, he would go back to the midcard and you would be feuding with Triple H for the title. If you kept the title past that storyline, you would most likely feud with Ken Kennedy next… can you see where I’m going with it? You would end up as a transitional champion, and by the end of the year you would be dead in the water…

 

Punk: It’s not like it’s going to be any different after tonight.

 

Eu: I can assure you, that we established that your story would be the main focus of our shows going forward, together with the WWE Championship storyline.

 

Punk: But what was the other option?

 

Eu: You would not cash in tonight, you would get the first win in the feud against Triple H, but it would continue from there…

 

Punk: And I was going to be buried from now ‘till the end.

 

Eu: Exactly. So, instead, tonight you go down but you work hard, and if things go as plan, come Wrestlemania you will be in one of the main matches on the card…

 

Punk: I want nothing less than the main event. I’m in the WWE to be Champion and to be in the Main-Event of Wrestlemania. I’m not here for the paycheck. I would get about the same pay in Japan, and I would be having a lot of fun with Colt and Danielson.

 

Eu: I can’t assure you that you will be closing the show, but you’ll have the chance to be in one of the main-events, and you’ll have the chance to steal the show. So, what do you say? Will you trust me?

 

Estiquei a mão, mas pensei que ele me fosse virar costas. Ele tinha razão para estar chateado. Em resposta tive um aperto de mão em sinal de confiança. O assustador é que não tinha a certeza se iria cumprir alguma destas promessas.

 

Não sei porque raio escrevi o diálogo em inglês... Cenas... :mrgreen:

 

Este post, é um flashback para o fim da segunda temporada, mas foi escrito para abrir a terceira temporada, o que significa que... Conto na semana que vem colocar o primeiro show. Tenho perto de mês e meio escrito, e queria manter um ritmo certo de postagens, até Setembro pelo menos, colocando os dois shows de TV a cada semana, e os PPV's sozinhos, na semana respectiva, assim seria algo como:

1ª Semana - Raw e Superstars

2ª Semana - Idem

3ª Semana - Igual

4ª Semana - Unforgiven

5ª semana - Raw e Superstars

Regal: Hold it. Gentlemen, let me start by congratulating our new WWE Champion. Now, business… I believe that both Mr.H and Mr. Orton made good argumets about why they deserve to be the number one contender for the WWE Championship, but… Mr. Orton made a specially good point, in that nobody has been able to pin him as of late… And he never truly lost last night, so he will get a shot at the Championship at Unforgiven.

 

O público começou a vaiar, enquanto Orton sorria, e Triple H chegava-se às cordas, para olhar o GM de frente.

 

Regal: But, I also think Mr.H might deserve a chance… Well, I’ll give you something, for you to work with. Tonight, you’ll be going one on one with Mr.Orton, and you’ll get your chance at the WWE Championship, IF you can do what no other man did in 2015… pin mister Orton.

Regal saiu então de cena, Orton… tentou o RKO, mas acabou a ter de fugir do ringue, pois Triple H já estava preparado… Terá concerteza chance de tentar novamente, logo mais no nosso main event. (87)

 

Após uma pequena pausa, ouvimos a música de Tito Ortiz ecoar no sistema de som, mas o “Huntington Beach Bad Boy” não vem preparado para lutar…

 

Ortiz: First off, I’m a real fighter, and real fighters admit when the better man beat them… That was not happened last night, but I realised something. Maybe, I should see my coming to the WWE as an oportunity for something else. An oportunity, to be a part of something that was never done before…

Yang vs Davey Richards

Davey Richards não é um tipo grande… Mas Richards é claramente um tipo complicado. Rápido, bastante capaz de voar, bastante capaz de apanhar o adversário na curva, com uma manobra de submissão, O combate em si acabou por ser razoável, com Richards a mostrar as características enunciadas, e a demonstrar que Ortiz tem razão em dizer que há ali muito talento. Richards prender um cloverleaf e obrigou Yang a desistir, ficando assim 1-0 na WWE. (66)

 

Após mais uma pausa, vemos um túnel a sair da rampa…

 

One, Two, you hear the clock tickin’

 

De repente, MVP aparece no túnel e fogo de artíficio começa a rebentar por todos os lados, MVP parece ter decidido voltar aos tempo de entradas em grande! (83)

 

E para o defrontar… John Dalton! Dalton desceu o túnel ainda aberto, com um microfone como companheiro.

 

John Dalton: What a great waste of… everything. Lad, you are like those fellas in their 40’s that buy a huge car, to overcompensate somethin’. You come out here and blow a load, in your entrance. That’s the truth about it. It’s just so bloody sad…

 

Dalton: Your entrance is like that sole flair in the end of new year’s eve fireworks… you make a lot of noise, but people just get sad thinking about what happened before. Because when you get to the ring, IT IS ALL OVER. Now I… I prefer to go all out in the ring, and entertain this people. I’m like what you Americans are used to see in the fourth of July. O combate foi sólido, e serviu para mostrar que de facto a velha guarda está lentamente a ser subtituida… Dalton controlou, deu espectáculo e venceu o combate, com um Superkick mesmo no focinho. (76)

vs.

Dean Ambrose vs Edge

E depois do combate anterior, nada poderia contrar mais o que foi dito, do que este combate. O combate foi medíocre, com os dois a não conseguirem interessar o público. No fim, foi o veterano que há apenas 24 horas estava a anunciar a sua retirada, a vencer o jovem Ambrose com relativa facilidade, com um Spear. (59)

 

Combate #4

& vs. &

John Hager & Heath Miller vs Jay Lethal & Kofi Kingston

Não sabemos se esta aliança entre Kofi Kingston e Jay Lethal será para durar, mas a verdade é que deu frutos desde o primeiro minuto, com as dois a mostrarem uma harmonia incrível no ringue. No final Kingston acertou o Trouble in Paradise em Hager para a vitória. (68)

 

Nos bastidores temos o regressado Chris Jericho:

 

Jericho: WELCOME TO RAW… IS… JERICHO. Everybody is wondering what I have to say about what happened last night, between me and Edge. Mais uma estreia nesta edição da Raw, desta vez é Shiima Xion, um lutador que estava há algum tempo nos escalões de desenvolvimento da WWE. Estrear-se contra um antigo campeão mundial, mesmo que este tenha estado longe do ringue bastante tempo não foi a melhor ideia, e Jericho prendeu o Liontamer perto da marca dos nove minutos, para o obrigar a desistir. (60)

 

Hora de Randy Orton falar com Michael Cole:

 

Cole: Ladies and getlemen, with me at this time, the number one contender for the WWE Championship… Randy Orton. Randy, at the begining of Monday Night Raw, you were awarded by our general manager, the number one contender status and…

 

Orton: And it was only the right thing to do.

 

Cole: I was not going to discuss it, but…

 

Orton: You better not, Cole. So what was is it, you were going to ask me?

 

Cole: Like I was saying, that was not the only decision announced by Mr. Regal. In tonight’s main event, another contender might take a thir spot at Unforgiven’s WWE Championship match. How do you see this stipulation playing into your own opportunity?

 

Orton: Triple H does not deserve that chance, that one is a given. But our beloved GM needs to pander to the boss, to keep his own job, so that’s just what it is.

 

Cole: But you can’t deny that the stipulation for the match gives you a substantial advantage. If you get DQ’ed or Counted Out, Triple H is left with his hands empty…

 

Orton: That would be important if there was any chance for him to beat me. Now, I’m not worried about Triple H because he can’t pin me. No one can pin me right now, not even the big man up there could. I would be a giant fool if I got a loss for myself, when I’m sure I will win.

 

Cole: Are you saying that not even God could beat you?

 

Orton: No, I’m talking about Vince McMahon… /sarcasm

 

Cole: That’s not something you usually hear.

Sheamus entrou no ringue, e mesmo antes do combate começar, acertou um Brogue Kick no seu adversário. Sheamus continuou a pontapiar Lewington, afastando o árbitro sempre que preciso… Irish Curse!!... Irish Curse!!... Irish Curse!!! Três seguidos! Sheamus é então afastado de Lewington por uma boa meia dúzia de árbitros, que empurra antes de sair do ringue pelo próprio pé. (69)

 

Nos balneários vemos Edge, a ir de encontro a Chris Jericho que está a desapertar as botas.

 

Edge: I heard what you said back there… I know you’ve been out of the loop for a long looong time, but it isn’t me that needs a match… I can have a match any time I want. Curt Hawkins vs Bobby Roode

O combate foi razoavelmente longo, e teve momentos de dúvida sobre quem sairia daqui campeão, com Hawkins a surpreender muitos com a sua performance nesta noite. No fim, o pay-off… foi um pay-off de Roode, para manter o título! (74)

 

Vamos para o estacionamento, onde John Cena se aproxima de CM Punk, que se desloca para a sua viatura, com um trolley e uns headphones beats (que poser!).

 

John Cena: CM Punk! CM Punk, so you’re just going home?

 

CM Punk: Of course I am, you moron. I’m injured, you know how that’s like.

 

John Cena: But Triple H will be fighting in the main-event…

 

CM Punk: So what? I’m not taking any chances again, after what happened last night. You’ll know when I’m healed up. Now leave me alone. Punk bateu com a porta do carro e foi embora. (86)

 

Numa pequena promo pré-gravada, os ex-campeões de Tag-Team Homicide e Hernandez deixam bem claro que não aceitam que os Hardy Boys lhes tenham roubado a atenção do público, os títulos de tag team, e o estatuto de melhor equipa da WWE. Eles não vão desistir… (66)

 

Combate #7

vs.

Claude vs Eduardo Colon

No melhor combate da noite, em termos de acção in-ring, Claude trazia ainda o balanço da excelente vitória da noite passada, sobre Tito Ortiz, e o público estava firmemente do seu lado, contra o irmão do King of the Ring. Com toda a agitação no ringue, o público nunca esmureceu, mas pareceu explodir quando Claude acertou o Ricola Bomb para a vitória. (80)

 

 

Combate #8

vs.

Triple H vs Randy Orton

Chegamos ao main-event desta edição do Monday Night Raw, com o main-event do Unforgiven aqui em jogo. Por causa disso, o campeão da WWE, Cody Rhodes, esteve na mesa de comentadores, como convidado especial. O combate chegou perto dos 14 minutos, antes de Orton acertar um RKO para o pin… do qual Triple H escapou… Orton tentou acertar o Punt, mas Triple H levantou-se mesmo a tempo, e acertou um Spinebuster, e toda a gente sabia o que aí vinha. Pedigree! 1… 2… Onde foi o árbitro? Um individuo num hoodie saltou a barreira de segurança e puxou o árbitro, antes de entrar no ringue e atacar Triple H… Obviamente que era CM Punk, que levantou Triple H nos ombros e meteu-o a dormir, com um GTS especial, dada a protecção que Punk tinha no joelho, causando a vitória do The Game por DQ, mas retirando-lhe a chance de lutar com Rhodes e Orton no Unforgiven.

 

PUNK: I WANT MY REMATCH.

 

Enquanto Punk subia a rampa, Orton levantava-se e apontava para Cody Rhodes, que se colocou no topo da mesa de comentadores, com o título mundial levantado no ar. E é com esta imagem que o show termina… (80)

Num combate curto, sólido, mas com pouco envolvimento do público, Arik Cannon derrotou Martin Stone, com o Total Anarchy. (53)

Steve Lewington vs Kofi Kingston

Combate com cerca de 9 minutos, ganho com relativa facilidade por Kingston (55).

Dean Ambrose vs Lance Cade

Após cerca de 7 minutos, Ambrose conseguiu uma vitória bastante importante para a sua carreira, ao derrotar o ex-campeão da WWE com o Midnight Driver. (62)

Curt Hawkins vs Elijah Burke

Depois de ter sido derrotado num combate pelo título internacional, na última segunda-feira, Curt Hawkins não foi novamente capaz de vencer, acabando vítima do Elijah Express. (66)

Em mais um combate sólido, a superestrela mexicana conseguiu obrigar o adversário a admitir derrota, quando prendeu La Mistica, para manter mais uma vez o seu título. (59)

Heath Miller vs Jimmy Rave

Combate engraçado, que teve 9 minutos e terminou com o Greetings from Ghana, de Jimmy Rave. (61)

 

Após o combate, com Miller no chão, Rave empurrou-o para for a do ringue, mandou-o contra os degraus do ringue, antes de ir embora. (45)

John Dalton vs Shiima Xion

Num combate bastante interessante, que marcava a estreia de Xion no superstars, a vitória sorriu ao fantástico lutador inglês, que acertou um superkick, quando Xion tentou um springboard dropkick, perto da marca dos 7 minutos (67).

 

John Dalton pegou no microfone e falou sobre o que lhe vai na alma. Dalton disse que estava farto de ser visto como fazendo parte “da juventude da WWE”, e que quer mostrar que tudo o que tem dito de si próprio é verdade… que está ao nível dos campeões mundiais do passado e do presente. O seu limite é um ano… Dentro de um ano será campeão da WWE… Podem anotar. (88)

 

Fechamos com um pequeno video a mostrar a recuperação de Ken Kennedy. O ex-campeão da WWE está a recuperar bem o movimento das pernas, através de sessões de fisioterapia, e está entusiasmado com a ideia de voltar daqui por uns meses… (78)

Assim que Cody passou a primeira perna pelas cordas, Sheamus passou de imediato ao ataque, mas o campeão estava pronto, e acertou-lhe uma cabeçada no tronco. Antes de ter tempo de responder em melhores condições, Sheamus escapou-se do ringue, ficando o aperitivo para logo mais. (96)

Num combate curto, e que arrefeceu os ânimos do público, Miz venceu com facilidade com o Mizard of Oz. (55)

 

Depois do combate, Mizanin pediu um microfone:

 

Miz: You see? This is the kind of thing that I can do to that faceless flee, that is the World Television Champion. Mistico, if you’re back there, what do you say you come out here, so I can challenge you face to face.

 

E certinho, lá veio o campeão de TV, Mistico. Mistico trazia um microfone, e tínhamos aqui uma boa oportunidade de saber se ele já sabe falar inglês. Miz pareceu tentar contornar isso, colocando um sotaque hispânico ridículo, e falando como um atrasado mental:

 

Miz: Me… wants… that…belt. Belt… Do you understand what I’m saying?

 

Antes mesmo de Mistico poder responder, apareceu detrás de si, um individuo com cerca de metro e oitenta, mas a modos que um pouco largo. O desconhecido atacou o campeão, atirando-o pela rampa abaixo. O desconhecido atirou Mistico para dentro do ringue como se fosse uma saca de batatas, sob o olhar atento de Miz, que não tirava o sorriso dos lábios. Com o rival no ringue, Mizanin não perdeu tempo e acertou-lhe o Mizard of Oz, voltando de seguida a pegar no micro.

 

Miz: Hey, Mistico… This my…personal…assistant… Michael... Elgin.

 

Elgin levantou o braço do seu novo patrão, e seguiu com ele dali para fora. (51)

Gran Akuma vs Davey Richards w/ Tito Ortiz

Num combate sólido, o rookie escolhido por Tito Ortiz como futuro campeão da WWE e UFC venceu pela segunda vez na sua curta carreira, quando levou a que o árbitro interrompesse o combate por incapacidade de Akuma, que ficou KO com um Rear Naked Choke. (59)

Dean Ambrose vs RedruM

Num combate razoável, com uma diferença significativa de estilos em exibição, o jovem Ambrose levou a vitória para casa com o Midnight Driver (60)

 

Ambrose saiu do ringue ainda algo combalido, mas mesmo assim com o braço no ar em sinal de vitória. Ambrose vinha de uma séria de derrotas, e esta era uma vitória importante para o jovem lutador. Infelizmente para ele, detrás de si surgiu Mordecai que nem lhe deu hipótese de se defender. Mordecai atirou Ambrose contra os degraus do ringue, contra o poste do ringue, contra a barreira de protecção… Um pouco de tudo. Por fim, Mordecai levantou Ambrose, e deixou-o à mercê de RedruM para que este se vingasse da derrota que lhe foi infligida. RedruM… Demon Driver para cima da mesa dos comentadores! (69)

 

James Mitchell entrou no ringue bastante sério.

 

James Mitchell: Let me start by saying this. We have no problem whatsoever with Dean Ambrose. He was our sacrificial lamb for the night. It was needed to send a message to The Beast. You wanted to send us to hell… Well, hell is our home.

Num combate com cerca de 10 minutos entre estas duas montanhas (que é um eufemismo para dois gajos lentos), Lashley deu bastante luta, mas a vitória estava destinada a Mordecai, que com uma Crucifix Powerbomb arrumou Lashley. (64)

 

Logo após o combate, surgiram no ecrã, um par de olhos, no meio da escuridão:

Num fantástico combate que durou quase um quarto de hora, os actuais campeões não tiveram a vida facilitada contra Lance Cade e Chris Harris. Os quatro não pararam um segundo, e mostraram ter uma excelente química entre si. Mesmo assim, no final, Matt Hardy e Jeff Hardy acertaram o Poetry in Motion nos dois adversários, ficando Lance Cade (o legal man) no meio do ringue, mesmo a jeito para o Swanton Bomb que lhes deu a vitória. (87)

WWE Champion Cody Rhodes vs Sheamus O’Shaunnesy

Chegamos ao main event, que teve quase 20 minutos e deu para correr muita água. Sheamus mostrou bastante agressividade, relembrando os seus tempos de campeão, mas ao contrário do que aconteceu no confronto entre os dois na Royal Rumble, Cody apresentava um nível de confiança inigualável. Talvez por isso, Sheamus não parecia capaz de manter o campeão no chão. Um Brogue Kick deu uma near-fall… A Irish Curse? Nope, Cody nunca deixou que Sheamus lhe acertasse… Cody prendeu um figure-four, mas Sheamus chegou à corda, Sheamus foi para um segundo Brogue Kick, mas Rhodes desviou-se e acertou-lhe o Silver Spoon DDT, mas mais uma vez, Sheamus estava perto das cordas… O combate continuou, com Sheamus a virar novamente o fluxo do combate, mas do nada, novo Silver Spoon DDT! 1! 2! 3! Cody Rhodes vence! (76)

 

No topo da rampa apareceu o number one contender ao título da WWE:

 

Randy Orton: Congratulations Champ, you got him. Our match in Unforgiven is getting closer, and I want you to look as good as possible, so when I take the WWE Championship from you, there’s no doubt that I am a real champion. Because… let’s be honest here for a minute. Even if that redheaded jackass that is in fact… a jackass, he was right in something he said earlier. You are a fluke as WWE Champion, Cody. Num combate razoável, mas com pouco interesse por parte do público, Miz ganhou com o Mizard of Oz, por volta da marca dos 7 minutos, quando o seu guarda-costas, Michael Elgin, atacou os olhos de Austin Von Erich que estava encostado às cordas do ringue, sem que o árbitro se apercebesse. (55)

Num combate curto, mas bastante mexido e bem executado, a sensação britânica, John Dalton, venceu com um Superkick, mesmo nos queixos. (71)

Edge vs Heath Miller

Combate de duração razoável, onde Edge foi capaz de meter o público a torcer pelo One Man Rock Band como se este fosse um campeão mundial. Mesmo com todo o apoio do público, Miller acabou vítima de um Spear, perdendo dessa forma o combate. (70)

 

Edge pegou num microfone, e decidiu deixar umas palavras a Chris Jericho…

 

Edge: This Sunday, it will be my first PPV match in three months… Three months where I waited and waited… I’m good at that, waiting for the right time, and the right place to do my thing. To me this is the perfect setup… Chris hasn’t been in a match as competitive as this in two years. He completely lost it, so, when I win now, I’ll be right at the top of the food chain, and I can go back into World Championship contention. Everybody knows that’s my spot, just like everybody knows that Jericho’s spot is with his band, opening for actual rock bands. (86)

Intercontinental Champion Nigel McGuinness vs Jay Lethal

Num combate com quase dez minutos, e com o campeão intercontinental a não ter de colocar o cinto em jogo, coube a Lethal a maior parte da ofensiva. Mesmo assim, as coisas correram melhor ao inglês, que apanhou Lethal a meio de um crossbody, e rolou-o para o chão para prender a London Dungeon, e obrigar Lethal a desistir. (66)

 

Nigel nem teve tempo de se levantar, pois mal soltou um pouco a manobra, Lethal mandou-lhe uma cabeçada, onde nenhum homem quer levar uma cabeçada (I’ll let that sink in). Nigel ficou no chão enquanto Lethal o pontapeava. Lethal decidiu esperar… e assim que se levantou foi para o Lethal Injection, mas Nigel acertou um Lariat, que deixou Lethal no chão. Nigel virou-se devagar para sair do ringue, mas assim que se virou levou um pontapé nos queixos… Trouble in Paradise! Kofi Kingston tinha vindo pela rampa, e não perdeu tempo a deixar o campeão no chão. (72)

Beast & Dean Ambrose vs Mordecai & RedruM

Beast e Mordecai pareciam sedentos de colocar as mãos um no outro (…), mas foram Ambrose e RedruM a começar o combate. Ambrose safou-se bem contra o monstro cujo nome ao contrário… não interessa… Ambrose conseguiu domar a fera focando-se nos seus braços. No entanto, com um empurrão, Redrum conseguiu uma aberta para o tag, e aí sim começaram os problemas. Mordecai mostrou ser muita areia para a camioneta de Ambrose, que nunca conseguiu fazer o hottag em The Beast, que apenas teve direito a uma bengalada entre as pernas, que James Mitchell inteligentemente desferiu atrás das suas costas (e do árbitro). Uma crucifix powerbomb depois, o pin foi académico para Mordecai. (57)

Triple H vs King Carlito

O combate foi algo curto, e interrompido vezes sem conta por Victoria e os manos do rei, até o árbitro os expulsar da arena. Depois disso pouco houve de interessante, com Carlito e Triple H a tentarem acertar as suas manobras principais, e a escaparem-se do adversário. Principal destaque para Carlito a escapar-se de um spinebuster, com um salto… Isto de nada lhe value, porque acabou por comer um Pedigree, e a ficar no chão para o 3. (66)

 

E agora nos bastidores… Randall Keith Orton…

 

Orton: Tonight, I’m fighting in the main-event. It makes sense, given that I’m The Star, the real champ. We are just a few days away from ME proving once and for all that that is the reality. Cody Rhodes’ state of grace is over…

 

Orton: The novelty effect has passed on Cody Rhodes… Now It is time for everyone to see how much inferior he is, compared to someone like me...

 

Orton: He is nowhere near my level, that’s obvious. He is not WWE Championship material, at least, as long as guys like me re walking down that aisle. The fraud ends this Sunday. (84)

Mistico vs CM Punk

Bom combate, que durou mais de 15 minutos, em que a palavra chave foi agilidade. Mistico acertou um 619 quando o relógio marcava exactamente 15 minutos de combate, e de seguida saltou da Terceira corda, para prender La Mistica, mas Punk conseguiu contrariar a rotação, Mistico caiu no chão, e conforme e levantou… Uranage! Anaconda Vise! It’s Over! Punk vence de forma perfeitamente limpa, por submissão. (76)

 

vs.

Jeff Hardy vs Randy Orton

Metade dos campeões de Tag Team, contra o candidato principal ao título mundial da WWE. Na mesa de comentadores estava o próprio campeão, Cody Rhodes. O combate começou lento, como é apanágio de Orton, e foi em crescendo até atingir o climax, perto da marca dos 20 minutos (quem dera a muitos)… Orton foi para o RKO, Jeff Hardy contrariou com um Twist of Fate… Cover… 1…2… Nope. Hardy foi para o Swanton… You get it. Orton desviou-se, Hardy levantou-se… RKO…1…2…3. Orton vence, com o relógio a marcar pouco menos de 19 minutos (benditos intervalos !?).

Após o combate, Orton começou a provocar Rhodes para que este fosse até ao ringue, e o campeão não se fez rogado. Rhodes pegou no seu cinto, e correu para dentro do ringue, quase tão rápido como Orton se atirou para debaixo para sair dali. Fechamos com Rhodes a levantar o seu cinto, e Orton a ignorá-lo por completo, seguindo o seu caminho para os bastidores. (82)

Bem-vindos ao Unforgiven, em directo em PPV e na WWE Network, que este mês está em promoção e é apenas $6,66. Nesta noite vamos ter a defesa de todos os títulos, com excepção do título de TV de Mistico, um Hell in a Cell, e o rematch de CM Punk frente a Triple H.

 

A primeira imagem do PPV é, curiosamente, do parque de estacionamento, onde vemos chegar uma limousine. De lá de dentro saiu Triple H, seguido da CEO da WWE, Stephanie McMahon. Hunter pegou nas malas, e disse à mulher para seguir, que ele ia logo atrás...

 

Já se adivinhava que alguma coisa estava para acontecer... E aí veio... Um carro disparado levou Triple H à frente, e desapareceu da vista da câmara, que foi parar ao meio do chão, pois o cameraman e Steph foram de imediato acorrer a Triple H, que estava estatelado no chão. Em poucos momentos tinha-se gerado uma enorme confusão, e a imagem foi cortada, passando para a mesa de comentadores, onde Mike Goldberg, John Cena e JBL estavam com ar de grande preocupação (convém que sim, tendo em conta quem lhes paga o ordenado).

 

Mike Goldberg foi perguntando aos parceiros de comentário o que se teria passado. John Cena foi perentório em dizer que CM Punk estaria por detrás de tudo isto, enquanto JBL garantia que tinha sido apenas um acidente, e que não era hora de procurar culpados...

 

Voltamos a ver imagens do local do acidente, onde Triple H já está a ser encaminhado para dentro de uma ambulância. A mulher entrou também na ambulância, e seguiu com ele para o hospital... Voltaremos a saber dele, mais tarde, suponho... (82)

Bobby Lashley vs Bobby Roode

O combate sofreu com o que se passou imediatamente antes. Os comentadores focaram-se em discutir o atropelamento de Triple H, do que o combate que tinham à sua frente. O combate foi sólido, com Lashley a controlar nos primeiros minutos, mas Roode a conseguir arranhar os olhos do Dominator e a virar o momentum todo a seu favor. Com o relógio a marcar 8 minutos de acção, Roode acertou o Pay Off! 1! 2! Nope.

 

Roode tentou prender de imediato prender um crossface, mas estava demasiado perto das cordas, e Lashley chegou lá com facilidade. O árbitro obrigou-o a soltar a manobra, mas Roode manteve-a apertada até a contagem chegar aos 4. O árbitro ainda resmungou, mas depois de checkar Lashley, o combate pôde continuar... Taruz! Roode a deixar Lashley a ver estrelas com um soco... Pay-off! 1! 2! 3! Roode vence, porque o árbitro não o viu tirar a soqueira das cuecas (ewww). (62)

 

 

Intercontinental Championship

Combate longo e cheio de acção com Lethal a apoiar Kingston, como havia prometido. Sem entrar em detalhes excessivos, pode-se dizer que nenhum dos dois dominou durante muito tempo. No final, Nigel tentou acertar a Tower of London, mas graças a uma pequena distracção de Jay Lethal, Kofi escapou. Kofi tentou ainda aproveitar a distracção para o S.O.S., mas foi ele sim surpreendido com o Jawbreaker Lariat… 1…2…3! Nigel McGuinness retém o título intercontinental (69)

 

Hell in a Cell

vs.

The Beast vs. Mordecai

Chegamos a um dos combates mais aguardados desta noite. Não é preciso repetir mais uma vez a história por detrás deste combate. Beast não tem feito outra coisa que não seja lutar contra James Mitchell… Esta noite tinha a chance de lutar sem James Mitchell a interferir. E Beast aproveitou isso para lutar de forma mais calma do que o habitual, usando o tempo a seu favor no combate, dada a sua melhor condição física. Mordecai pelo contrário parecia perder cada vez mais a cabeça conforme alguns dos seus powermoves se iam mostrando incapazes de fechar este combate. Big boots, Spinebusters… Beast ia-se aguentando no combate, e pregou um susto bem valente a Mordecai, quando do nada lhe acertou um poderoso Spear, bem no meio do ringue.

 

Passado o susto, Mordecai acusou o desgaste e o dano provocado, e começou a perder mão no combate. Mordecai viu-se mesmo obrigado a fugir do ringue, para tentar recuperar o fôlego, e aproveitou para contrariar uma clothesline para atirar Beast contra a cela, dando-lhe ainda mais tempo para recuperar. Mas um passo mal medido e… Number of the Beast, no exterior do ringue! A potência foi tanta, que as luzes se apagaram… Quer dizer, não foi bem isso. Mas as luzes apagaram-se, ouviu-se um estrondo, e uma parte de uma das paredes da cela… caiu.

 

James Mitchell estava ali perto, e parece que de alguma forma foi o causador desta anomalia na Cela. Mitchell ria como só ele consegue (é mesmo um dom), enquanto marchava com RedruM para dentro da cela, a fim de domar a Besta…

 

KENNEDYYYYYYY!!!!

 

Será? Está a tocar a música de Kennedy! Mitchell e RedruM olham a toda a volta, mas não encontram o antigo campeão… SPEAR! NOS DOIS! Beast acertou em cheio nos dois, um de cada lado, e atirou-os ao tapete! A música para de tocar, e nem sinal de Ken Kennedy, mas que interessa isso? Beast volta a caminhar para Mordecai… Mordecai atira Beast contra a cela… Spinebuster! 1…2… Não!!!!!1!

 

Mordecai rola Beast para dentro do ringue, e prepara a Crucifix Powerbomb… Beast escapa-se e vai às cordas, Mordecai tenta o Big Boot, mas Beast passa por baixo… SPEAR!!! 1! 2! 3! Beast vence! Beast vence! Beast vence! Que combate! BEAST! BEAST! BEAST! (75)

Este combate sofreu com algo óbvio. O público não sabia muito bem por quem torcer. Obviamente que uma porção do público torcia por CM Punk, como acontece quase sempre, mas sem uma dicotomia clara, o ritmo do combate acabou por parecer desconexo do público. Mesmo assim fica para a história deste evento, a vitória de CM Punk sobre os antigos campeões de tag-team, quando Orlando Colon fez um tag nas costas de Eddy, que o árbitro não viu… Enquanto Orlando discutia com o árbitro, CM Punk acertou um low-blow… GTS! Orlando empurrou o árbitro e tentou defender o irmão, mas acabou atirado borda fora, e depois o pin foi académico. (62)

 

WWE Tag Team Championship

Hardy Boys© vs Dos Hombres Locos

Depois de um grande momento para a divisão de tag teams, chegamos ao combate principal para a divisão. As duas principais equipas encontram-se pelos títulos, e tiveram direito a um combate longo e cheio de acção. Tratam-se de duas equipas lendárias nesta companhia, e por isso é normal que o público estivesse na ponta do assento do início ao fim. Mas mais uma vez, os campeões saíram por cima, com Matt Hardy a acertar o Twist of Fate em Hernandez para a vitória. (78)

 

E agora, é hora do combate de Sheamus O’Shaunessy contra dois lutadores de cariz internacional…

 

2-on-1 Handicap Match

& vs.

Air Paris & John Walters vs Sheamus O’Shaunessy

Poooois. O ex-campeão mundial da WWE não teve muito trabalho com estas duas “estrelas” e despachou-os aos dois em poucos minutos. No final, Sheamus pegou em Paris pelo cabelo, colocou um pé em cima de Walters, e levou o outro braço ao ar, em sinal de superioridade. (61)

Chris Jericho vs Edge

O combate mais longo da noite, mas não o combate da noite. Na realidade até se arrastou um pouco, mas mesmo assim não deixou de ser interessante ver a audiência firmemente do lado do recém-regressado Chris Jericho, que dominou os primeiros minutos do encontro. Isso de nada lhe vale quando se fizer o balanço desta noite, pois Edge, com a ajuda das cordas, conseguiu derrota-lo, ao contrariar uma tentativa de prender o Walls of Jericho, num roll-up. (76)

 

WWE World Heavyweight Championship

Agora sim, O combate da noite. Com quase metade da duração do combate que lhe antecedeu, o tempo passou a voar, com os dois a darem tudo. Orton acertou o RKO perto da marca dos 10 minutos, mas Rhodes conseguiu escapar com a contagem a marcar 2. Orton foi para o Punt, mas acabou a comer o Silver Spoon DDT… Orton também se safou com a contagem em 2. O combate continuou até perto dos 15 minutos, quando após uma Bionic Elbow, e de novo Silver Spoon DDT, Cody Rhodes conseguiu manter o seu título mundial, concretizando a segunda defesa do seu reinado.
