Mike Goldberg: Welcome ladies and gentlemen to Monday Night Raw. Survivor Series is already in the rear mirror and we have a new champion. No, Triple H didn’t beat Sheamus for the WWE Championship, nor did Cody Rhodes win the Intercontinental Championship. Nigel McGuinness is the new WWE Television Champion.

 

The Rock: Speaking of Sheamus, I may not be his biggest fan but I have to admit that last night he outsmarted The Game, The Cerebral Assassin, and that’s something that few people can say in the last fifteen years.

 

Mike: Yes, indeed Sheamus finally defended his belt without anyone’s help, but he left the steel cage on his knees. Where he could he go next? We will find out next has we were informed that Mr. Regal will make a big announcement regarding the main-event for Armaggedon, our next big event.

Mr.Regal: Tonight I’m really going to make this short. I’m here to announce the WWE Championship match for Armaggedon. Some people have been lobbying for a certain man to have another match for the WWE Championship. He will get his chance, but so will nine other superstars. At Armaggedon there will be six men fighting for the WWE Championship, inside the Elimination Chamber!! Tonight…

 

KENNEDY!!!!

 

Kennedy: Hey!!! “Mr. Regal” last night I was the sole survivor, I won my match, I’ve been out of the title picture for over an year, and that’s basically since you became the GM. I’m starting to think we have a problem. Don’t you like me Regal?

 

Regal: WHO THE HELL DO YOU THINK YOU ARE?

 

Kennedy: Oh I thought my music was enough… I’m MR.KENNEDY!!!

 

Regal: I KNOW

 

Kennedy: KENNEEEEEEEEEDYYYYY!!!

 

Regal: WHO YOU ARE! I will tell you why I won’t give you a shot at the Title. You don’t respect anyone. You don’t respect authority figures, colleagues or yourself. You behave like a buffoon. That’s not the kind of champion I want representing my brand. Now, I won’t take any much time out of the fans. You can take the night off, I won’t give you a match tonight. Have a pleasant night. Mike Goldberg: So there you have it. At armaggedon, the WWE Championship will be defended inside an elimination chamber. Tonight we will have five qualifying matches, and they are:

Homicide vs The Beast

 

Edge vs Leviathan

 

Jay Lethal vs Randy Orton

 

Triple H vs Elijah Burke

 

But now, we will have another match… The Intercontinental Championship will be on the line, with CM Punk taking on Austin Von Erich.

CM Punk enfrenta aqui uma estrela de 4ª geração, bisneto de Fritz Von Erich. O jovem Austin tem ainda muito que aprender para chegar ao nível dos grandes nomes da sua lendária família. Foi por isso pouco surpreendente que tenha sido apanhado no Anaconda Vise do campeão intercontinental e tenha acabado por desistir. (C-)

 

CM Punk pegou então no microfone e desafiou qualquer fã a subir ao ringue e tentar escapar ou resistir meio minuto ao Anaconda Vise. Vários se ofereceram, mas apenas um foi escolhido. CM Punk estendeu a mão ao “fã” desconhecido, mas ao invés de um aperto de mão aplicou-lhe um Uranage e o Anaconda Vise, que provocou a desistência em meros 5 segundos. (B-)

 

Combate #2

Cody Rhodes vs Kofi Kingston

Kofi procurou ao longo do combate enfraquecer ainda mais o braço de Cody que há apenas 24 horas foi muito massacrado por CM Punk. Cody no entanto aguentou-se e conseguiu ir contrariando o adversário. Quando as coisas já pareciam encaminhadas para o filho do American Dream, surgiu ainda Matt Hardy, na primeira fila da audiência e isso foi suficiente para distrair Kofi e dar abertura ao Silver Spoon DDT. (B)

 

Cody nem se tinha apercebido da distracção, e quando viu no replay foi pedir satisfações com Matt Hardy. (D+)

 

Combate #3

Mike Mondo vs Chris Harris

Chris Harris dominou o combate e venceu de forma fácil e rápida com o Catatonic. ( C )

 

E agora vemos nos bastidores… Claude:

 

Claude: Bonne nuit. Tonight I have to talk about supériorité, superiority. You people know how I’m far superior to you peasants. I speak multiple languages, I’m an exemplar physical specimen, not an obese, ignoble, impolite, american. Aujourd’hui, tonight, I’ll have to face a Mexican, a man who uses a mask and comes from a country even you pathetic people don’t respect. I shouldn’t have to get my hands dirty like that. Combate #4 - Combate de Qualificação para a Elimination Chamber

Mistico vs Claude

Claude falou em algo desagradável… Deve ter sido a sua derrota aqui. Claude tentou agarrar Mistico que mostrou que com a sua velocidade pode ser quase imparável. Um missile dropkick atirou Claude às cordas para o 619. Mistico é o primeiro qualificado para a Elimination Chamber. (C+)

 

E é exatamente sobre o matchup entre os dois lutadores já certos na Elimination Chamber que os dois comentadores falam, destacando o contraste de estilos e como a velocidade de Mistico poderá dar-lhe a vitória. (B+)

Jake Hager vs John Dalton

Combate para arrefecer o público. O talentoso John Dalton venceu com um Superkick seguido de um Moonsault. (D)

 

Combate #6 - Combate de Qualificação para a Elimination Chamber

Homicide w/ Hernandez vs The Beast w/ James Mitchell

O combate começou relativamente equilibrado, mas ao fim de cerca de 5 minutos só deu The Beast. The Beast acertou com o seu Belly-to-Back suplex modificado que agora se chama Number of the Beast. The Beast estará na Elimination Chamber. (B-)

 

Nos bastidores… MVP e Ron Killings atacam Triple H até vários babyfaces, como Cody Rhodes, Nigel McGuinness e Bobby Lashley os virem separar. Parece que as coisas vão estar complicadas para o King of Kings daqui a pouco quando enfrentar Elijah Burke. (B)

 

Combate #7 - Combate de Qualificação para a Elimination Chamber

Edge vs Leviathan w/ James Mitchell

Combate longo e extremamente equilibrado, que acabou quando Leviathan acertou o Demon’s Bomb no adversário… Edge venceu porque nesta altura Leviathan abandonou ringue sem qualquer explicação, deixando mesmo o seu “mestre”, James Mitchell surpreso. (B-)

 

Mike Goldberg: What has just happened here?

 

The Rock: I have absolutely no idea, but Edge is going to be in the Elimination Chamber.

 

Mike Goldberg: That’s true and so far we have four confirmed participants. Sheamus will defend his WWE Championship against Mistico, The Beast and Edge.

The Rock: Can you imagine The Beast as WWE Champion? Mitchell hould have to handle Leviathan’s ego…

Mike Goldberg: But he just left the ring, forfeiting a chance of being WWE Champion.

 

The Rock: He must have a very strong reasoning for that. And don’t forget that Edge beat Sheamus a few weeks ago…

Cena: Hunter, last night you went to the limit and got this close to becoming WWE Champion once again. Tonight, you’ve already been attacked by Black Mafia, and you’ll have to fight Elijah Burke next, to get another shot at the WWE Championship. Are you ready for it?

 

HHH: John, you’ve known me for years. You fought me at Wrestlemania… You know I’m ready. It takes much more to put this man down. Triple H vs Elijah Burke

Triple H tentou dominar o combate mas ao contrário do que disse, estava debilitado fisicamente. MVP e Ron Killings tentaram interferir, mas Bobby Lashley e o resto da malta de há pouco voltaram a defender HHH, que aproveitou a confusão para apanhar o Elijah Express num Pedigree. HHH vence e é o último apurado para a Elimination Chamber dentro de 20 dias. (B)

Everyone is making that question. Leviathan had Edge beaten in the middle of the ring and left with no reason in sight. We at wwe.com could not get his words directly but eventually, James Mitchell sent us a written release that we transcribe here:

 

“Last Monday, something unplanned happen. Leviathan, against my order decided to leave the ring instead of finishing his job, winning his match and obliterating his opponent. Instead he rushed to the back. His reasoning, even if against my orders has got my respect. Leviathan believes he was humiliated when he got put on the floor with a small bug on top of him, at Survivor Series. So Leviathan wants to crush that little bug, that nefarious worm. Even though I don’t accept my orders not being fulfilled I can’t condemn hate. Life is hate. Death is hate… If he wants the match, I’ll get him the match.

After receiving this missive, Mr. Regal announced that at Armaggedon Leviathan and Ken Kennedy will settle their score in a Last Man Standing Match.

Mike Goldberg: Welcome ladies and gentlemen to Monday Night Raw. We are in a packed Moody Coliseum in Dallas, Texas.

 

The Rock: And this week is very special for the WWE as it marks the return of Superstars to TV almost 20 years later. Don’t forget to tune in on Comedy Central at 11 p.m. eastern time.

 

Mike Goldberg: But tonight we have two and an half hours of packed action, with Armaggedon getting closer and closer. The Tag Team Titles will be on the line and 4 of the participants of the Elimination Chamber will be facing in two one-on-one matches. Sheamus, the WWE Champion will be facing Edge and Triple H will have to battle The Beast.

 

The Rock: I’m really excited with the prospect of watching that Elimination Chamber. It even makes me want to step in that ring and do it myself…

 

Mike: I’m sure the fans…

Este combate foi curto mas foi centrado em ofensivas rápidas de parte a parte. No final, vitória para o auto-proclamado “Novo ícone do Pro Wrestling”, John Dalton com um Superkick. (D-)

 

John Dalton: At Survivor Series I got a taste of what is a big championship match, I wasn’t even the one who shamelessly tapped out. I’m more than deserving of a shot at the Championship. So to the new Champion, I’m here challenging you for a match.

 

E no ecrã obviamente apareceu o campeão, Nigel McGuinness.

 

Nigel: When I got here, in the WWE I said I wanted to get rid of the cunt known as the Miz, who was wearing this belt around his waist. Of course I won’t be him now. Thursday on Superstars I will be defending my WWE Television Championship against you Dalton… No excuses. ©

Matt Hardy vs Cody Rhodes

O combate foi equilibrado, como seria de esperar (acho eu). A certa altura, Cody Rhodes para escapar a um Twist of Fate acabou por chocar com um árbitro. Cody foi tentar acordar o árbitro, enquanto Matt Hardy se encontrava na outra ponta do ringue a recuperar folego. Neste momento, da rampa surgiu Kofi Kingston lançado. Cody nem o viu e Matt foi tentar defender-se mas acabou a sofrer um Tornado DDT. Kofi fugiu rapidamente enquanto o árbitro se levantava, Cody no entanto parou e sentou-se no topo do Turnbuckle porque obviamente não pressupôs que Matt tivesse caído para o lado sozinho. Matt lentamente começou a levantar-se e Cody foi tentar descobrir o que se tinha passado e se ele tinha recuperado, mas Matt visivelmente atarantado aplicou um Twist of Fate e foi instintivamente para o pin. Matt Hardy venceu aparentemente sem querer. (B-)

 

Após o combate Matt, recuperou a noção espacial, e pareceu perceber finalmente o que se tinha passado. Matt procurou ajudar Cody a levantar-se mas este já estava suficientemente assustado e afastou-o. Matt esticou a mão pedindo desculpa pelo sucedido e… Cody aceitou o pedido estendendo também a mão. (B)

 

Quem pareceu gostar pouco do aperto de mão foi… Kofi Kingston que voltou ao ringue acompanhado… por uma cadeira. Kofi destruiu a cadeira contra Cody e Matt Hardy deixando os dois estendidos no chão com a cadeira amachucada no meio. (B)

WWE Tag Team Championship

Dos Hombres Locos vs Mistico & Jay Lethal ©

Os campeões aqui eram mais uma vez a equipa menos cotada, dado que do outro lado estava uma equipa que já havia vencido os mesmos títulos 4 vezes anteriormente. No entanto, como de costume o factor surpresa acabou por os ajudar, e quando Homicide sofreu o 619, ele veio mesmo do nada. Mistico conseguiu assim o pin, e os campeões mantêm o título. (B)

Triple H vs The Beast w/ James Mitchell

Triple H teve imensas dificuldades em controlar James Mitchell que nunca chegou a interferir mas ameaçou várias vezes, mas ainda mais para controlar o seu adversário que acabou por lhe acertar com o Número da Besta para a vitória inesperada, mas limpa. (B)

 

E nos bastidores, com o microfone na mão… Edge:

Edge: Tonight I face… The Blur!!! Oh, I forgot I didn’t introduce you to the Blur. You see him every week… Even in HD, that guy can’t be seen as anything else. He’s a big spot on your screen… Ok, some people call him Sheamus, I’ll make an effort to call him that. A few weeks ago I beat the blu… Sheamus. In less than two weeks I will finally have an opportunity to take the WWE Championship from him. Tonight, will be like a warmup for Armaggedon. Edge contra o borrão, perdão, contra Sheamus. O combate foi longo, largamente dominado por Edge que acabou por vencer com dois spears, pois com o primeiro, Sheamus levantou-se quando a contagem ainda ia em 2. Mesmo assim, um sinal pouco animador para a Elimination Chamber que se avizinha. (B)

Triple Threat at Armaggedon. Intercontinental Championship to be defended.

 

 

In the last three weeks, Kofi Kingston beat Matt Hardy, Cody Rhodes beat Kofi Kingston and Matt Hardy defeated Cody Rhodes. At Armaggedon, the three will settle who the best out of the three is, when they step into the ring in a triple threat with a big prize on the line. The winner will face the WWE Champion, whoever that is, at the Royal Rumble.

Mr.Regal has decided that since Mistico is scheduled to compete at the WWE Championship Elimination Chamber, Jay Lethal will also compete in singles action, taking on the Intercontinental Champion CM Punk for the gold.

Boa promo entre CM Punk e Kennedy,

Gostei do vincar da personagem pura e limpa do Cody e dos ataques do heel Kofi Kingston. Agora espero Kofi no main event no Rumble.

Vitória interessante do Beast sobre o always main-eventer

Boa promo do Edge e creio que a vitória lhe acentou bem especialmente com 2 spears (demonstra a força do Sheamus)

Num combate rapidíssimo, Bobby Lashley atropelou o adversário, finalizando como de costume com o Dominator. ©

 

Nova entrevista conduzida por Maria, desta vez a John Dalton, que hoje desafia Nigel McGuinness pelo WWE Television Championship. Dalton diz que os ícones são feitos de títulos, e que ele já é um ícone portanto é uma questão de tempo para conquistar o seu primeiro título individual. (C+)

O combate foi equilibrado. Nigel conseguiu acertar um Jawbreaker Lariat para a vitória, que no entanto foi injusta pois John Dalton tinha um pé na corda, que o árbitro nunca viu. Dalton ainda se queixou mas de nada lhe valeu. (D+)

Como já te disse no msn, nem contava que alguem achasse piada a isso do The Rock. Foi algo que me apeteceu. :mrgreen:

Ainda bem que gostaram da promo, tenho tentado definir melhor personagens como a do Punk ou do Kennedy que julgo que andavam meio no ar, nos shows anteriores.

O Cody neste momento é o babyface mais puro no sentido old school, e estou a tentar ir por aí tanto quanto possível. O Kofi é o típico heel arrogante e o Matt Hardy é uma coisa estranha. Achei que juntar os três funcionava bem.

Quanto aos combates no final do show, providências necessárias para preparar o ME do PPV.

 

Só acabei de ler isto hoje e tenho que te dar os parabéns, isto está muito bom :)

 

Tens uma escrita muito fluída e isso, ao contrário de outros fantasy bookings e saves deste género, torna este save mais fácil e menos cansativo de ler, continua assim, tens aqui mais um leitor :)

Domingo à noite, sentado a ver TV… Nada de jeito para ver. Vou rodando os canais e eis que vejo uma coisa que após uma semana de trabalho e a entrar numa semana ainda mais desgastante não me devia ter interessado tanto quanto isso. Wrestling… MyNetworkTV. Um programa chamado: Inside Ring of Honor. No Main-Event, pelo título da companhia. De um lado o desafiador, Colt Cabana e do outro o campeão… Carlos Colón Jr., também conhecido por Carlito na WWE, em tempos. Mind-blowing, durante quase meia hora aqueles dois deram show no ringue, no fim pouco me interessou que o campeão manteve o título, por mim aqueles dois iam sair dali. O problema é que para isso me ia meter em terrenos pantanosos, tinha sido avisado para não andar à caça em várias companhias, uma delas era exactamente a ROH. Telefonei para o Johnny Ace, pareceu-me que estava preocupado. No fim, disse-lhe “I don’t give a fuck what Paul and Steph say, let’s do this. Keep it quiet and everything will be okay. I’ll take the heat.”
