Kickoff Match: Togi Makabe & Toru Yano vs Shoma Kato & Katsuya Murashima The Road to the New Beginning saw the return of the Young Lion Cup in six man, single elimination action. The field worked their way down to the last two on February 1, with Katsuya Murashima just edging out Shoma Kato to win the first trophy of his career in a gripping final matchup. Backstage, Murashima declared that his next step would be an overseas excursion, pledging to get stronger outside of Japan and return in championship form. With that excursion set and more details to follow, Murashima will temporarily bow out of NJPW competition on February 11 at New Beginning in Osaka. There he will team up with the man he beat in the Young Lion Cup final Shoma Kato, with the two facing the intimidating task of Toru Yano and Togi Makabe. The Most Violent Players are set to deal a physical lesson to the two Young Lions in Murashima's final match before graduation! Unbound Co. (Hiromu Takahashi & Taiji Ishimori) vs United Empire (Francesco Akira & Jakob Austin Young) Action on Osaka's main card gets underway with junior heavyweight feuds coming to the fore, and a farewell to NJPW from Hiromu Takahashi. At Wrestle Kingdom, Francesco Akira returned to the ring after a wrist injury, claiming that he had been 'reborn in darkness' and hungrier than ever to find a path to the IWGP Junior Heavyweight Championship that has proven elusive through his career to date. To Akira, success has to come at the expense of veteran figures who have dominated the junior conversation, in Akira's mind for far too long. Jakob Austin Young certainly shares the same mentality, having been left out of the lineup for Best of the Super Jr. in 2025 scoring a sizable chip on the shoulder. Hiromu Takahashi and Taiji Ishimori, long fierce rivals are now an intriguing tag team with a lot of potential under the Unbound Co. banner. Along with El Desperado, two of the junior heavyweight 'big three' that dominated the division for close to a decade, they represent tough opposition indeed for their younger opposite numbers but also a massive potential leapfrog to the top of singles and tag junior divisions for Akira and Young. With Hiromu stepping away from NJPW rings for the first time in a decade, United Empire will be looking to send him out of the cerulean blue with a loss. War Dragons (Drilla Moloney & Shingo Takagi) vs United Empire (Great-O-Khan & HENARE) The official combination of War Dogs and Unaffiliated into Unbound Co. can only be a good thing to fans of one of the most promising heavyweight tag teams to come out of 2025 in Shingo Takagi and Drilla Moloney. Last year's New Beginning in Osaka saw Moloney and Takagi as opponents, and a stunning win for the Drilla in a match that marked his official transition to heavyweight competition in NJPW. With mutual respect being formed in successive matches, the two became a team to watch for 2026, but tonight face a tag team that is reuniting with big plans. In 2024, HENARE and Great-O-Khan headed into World Tag League with the IWGP Tag team Championships, but had to relinquish those titles when HENARE was put on the injured list for a full year. Now all four men in this contest want to set themselves apart, and both teams have eyes ont he champions after our semi main event tonight in what's sure to be a highly heated tag team matchup. NEVER Openweight 6 Man Tag Team Championships Bishamontin (Boltin Oleg, Hirooki Goto & YOSHI-HASHI) vs TMDK (Ryohei Oiwa, Hartley Jackson & Zack Sabre Jr.) More championship action comes int he form of the NEVER Openweight 6 Man Tag team Championships at stake in Osaka, with new champions Boltin Oleg, Hirooki Goto and YOSHI-HASHI taking on the former title holders Ryohei Oiwa, Hartley Jackson and Zack Sabre Jr. For Oiwa and Jackson in particular, victory in the Tokyo Dome Tornado Ranbo match at Wrestle Kingdom 20 was deeply significant, marking the first NJPW championship gold for both men. The title honeymoon quickly came to an and though, and a hard hitting gripping title match in Korakuen Hall saw 'Bishamontin' leaving with the titles. Now, TMDK want to regain the trios belts, while the Hontai hard hitters are eager to secure a first defence. Gabe Kidd vs. Andrade El Idolo As United Empire have bounced back with a lot of momentum in 2026, the smooth talk and knockout power of Jake Lee and the spiteful aggression of Callum Newman present a vision that is only aided by financial muscle, brought to the table tonight by Andrade El Idolo. Ever the entrepreneur, Andrade revealed himself as the business muscle behind the United Empire in Japan mere days before continuing his relationship with the Don Callis Family in AEW in America. making him the focus of speculation, controversy and competition. That is a status that Gabe Kidd is well familiar with, and it was Kidd who issued a challenge for this special singles matchup. At New Year Dash, Kidd reminded the world of Andrade's past in NJPW just over a decade ago. Under a mask as La Sombra, Andrade is a former IWGP Intercontinental Champion, while Kidd has more recent history with a modern white belt in the form of the IWGP Global title. Kidd suggested he and Andrade go head to head with the winner getting a shot at Tsuji's IWGP Global Heavyweight Championship, and with all parties concerned agreeing, we now have a heated singles battle with some stakes for Tsuji down the line. David Finlay vs Callum Newman Singles Record: 1-1 A heated singles battle in Osaka will see Callum Newman taking on David Finlay. While Newman's aggressions toward Finlay, and United Empire's battles with Unbound Co. firmly kicked into high gear during World Tag League, the roots of Newman's hatred for Finlay are in Osaka, from back in 2024. Then, Finlay led the BULLET CLUB War Dogs into the first ever Dog Pound Steel Cage Match against United Empire, emerging victorious and banishing Will Ospreay from NJPW in the process. The months that followed saw United Empire fractured and directionless, leaving Newman in particular to question his next steps. Indeed talk was, as the Prince paired with Great-O-Khan during World Tag League, that if they were unable to find success int he tag team tournament then United Empire would disband entirely. Newman and O-Khan indeed did not find success in World Tag League, eliminated from contention by Hiromu Takahashi and, as fate would have it, Finlay. That sparked a furious rage from Newman, who now had a motivation born out of deep spite. In his words, Newman was now driven to do what his mentor in pro-wrestling Will Ospreay never could, and to destroy Finlay and the BULLET CLUB War Dogs. With the additions of Andrade El Idolo and Jake Lee, the returns of Francesco Akira and HENARE and the new recruitment of former Young Lion Zane Jay, United Empire have accumulated power as Newman's quest continued, and as the once Unaffiliated members joined forces with the War Dogs in the form of Unbound Co., Newman likely now takes some credit for the BULLET CLUB name no longer on cards for the first time in 13 years. Will the Prince complete his quest to destroy Finlay next, or will the Savage King put the precocious 'Prince' in his place? NEVER Openweight Championship Aaron Wolf vs Ren Narita With the world watching, the much anticipated pro-wrestling debut for Olympic gold medalist Aaron Wolf at Wrestle Kingdom 20 could not have gone any better. Wolf beat the odds in the sold out Tokyo Dome and most crucially beat EVIL bring the gold painted ENVER Openweight Championship to his waist. HOUSE OF TORTURE is not a group to take defeat lightly though, and as EVIL stepped back, it would be Ren Narita who stepped forth, blasting the new champion with his ever ready metal pushup bar and challenging for the title the very next night at New Year Dash. It's not been an easy tour for HOUSE OF TORTURE, with a string of televised defeats, many at the hands of Wolf himself, only broken with an interference packed retention of the IWGP Junior Heavyweight title by DOUKI on January 20 in Korakuen. With H.O.T often at its most dangerous when backed into a corner, Narita is now front and center player for the House in Osaka. Pressure is high, but assistance is sure to be close at hand for the Souled Out Narita. IWGP Tag Team Championships Knockout Brothers (Yuto-Ice & OSKAR) vs Shota Umino & Yuya Uemura Tag Record: 2-0 K.O.B. OSKAR and Yuto-Ice will put their IWGP Tag team Championships on the line in Osaka when they face the challenge of Shota Umino and Yuya Uemura. In under six months since returning from excursion, the Knockout Brothers have had a stranglehold over the IWGP tag titles, and in so doing have raised the status and level of competition for the belts. Capturing the championships in their first challenge back at Destruction in September, KOB made it a key point of business to ensure that they were the first team in a calendar year to successfully defend championships that had become a hot potato contested between makeshift sides. It was Umino and Uemura that stepped up in that first defence, and that were sent packing by the champions in impressive form, but defeat only strengthened the challengers' bonds and resolve. Falling again to KOB during World Tag League, and seeing OSKAR and Ice secure their second defence at New Year Dash over Ryohei Oiwa and Zack Sabre Jr., Uemura and Umino regrouped and stepped into the title mix once more when they defeated veterans Tomohiro Ishii and Taichi to earn another shot. With bad blood only continuing to brew between the two sides, it's safe to say that Uemura, and Umino especially have not yet earned the respect of Ice and OSKAR, but with redoubled determination and an impressive Korakuen win under their belt, they may just earn the tag titles in Osaka. Can the two Hontai stars capture their first IWGP gold, or will it be V3 for KOB? Main event: IWGP Heavyweight Championship Yota Tsuji vs Jake Lee Our main event sees the IWGP Heavyweight Championship defended, and the V4 version of the belt on the line for the first time in close to five years, Yota Tsuji facing the challenge of Jake Lee. Lee returned to NJPW at Wrestle Kingdom 20, and instantly got on Tsuji's radar when he rocked the champion with an FBS mere moments after Tsuji captured the title from Konosuke Takeshita. Tsuji was reluctant to put the title on the line against Lee, demanding the prospective, and usually highly talkative 'Smart Bastard' convince him and the world of his reasons for challenging, and for joining United Empire. Lee refused to give Tsuji what he wanted time after time, instead making his actions felt more keenly than his words. Heavy knees put Shingo Takagi on the shelf with a rib injury, his FBS rang off Tsuji's skull again, and in Korakuen Hall, just as he seemed about to break his silence, Lee instead choked out Tsuji with a punishing front chancerie. The next night though, Lee made his loudest statement yet, with the rest of United Empire seeing to it that all Tsuji could do was watch as Lee plowed through the members of Tsuji's Unbound Co. Then and only then did Lee let the world know he was perfectly able to speak, askling of Tsuji needed any more coaxing to put the title on the line. Tsuji has now agreed, but warned that Lee doesn't know the lengths that he has gone to to win the Heavyweight title, nor what he is willing to do to keep it. For Lee's part though, his FBS knockout boot, brutal Giant Killing knee and the blood choke Tsuji felt in Korakuen are all deadly weapons, and the threat Lee poses as a potential Grand Slam AJPW Triple Crown, NOAH GHC Champion and IWGP Heavyweight Champion is imposing indeed

"ROYAL ROAD PART 2" - ROUND OF 16 FULL RESULTS: Estas terceira e quarta noites do AJPW Royal Road Tournament trouxeram-nos oito combates, relativos aos oitavos de final do torneio e, logo o primeiro deles, deu-nos aquele que foi provavelmente o resultado mais inesperado da ronda, com Akira Taue, que tinha até tido um bye na primeira ronda, apurando-se assim diretamente para esta fase da competição, a cair aos pés de Dan Kroffat, sendo assim mais uma derrota dos Holy Demon Army frente aos Stampede, depois de terem também perdido os AJPW World Tag Team championships contra os The Harts, representantes também eles deste grupo. O parceiro de Dan Kroffat nos Can-Am Express, Doug Furnas, também ele seguiu em frente, naquela que se está a revelar uma excelente participação para o duo neste torneio. Os restantes combates tiveram resultados mais ou menos esperados, e avançamos assim para uns quartos de finais extremamente interessantes em perspetiva, com Stan "the Lariat" Hansen contra "Dr. Death" Steve Williams, vencedor da edição do ano passado, a ser o combate de cartaz e com, curiosamente, os seus habituais parceiros de tag team a cruzarem-se do lado oposto do quadro, com Big Van Vader a defrontar Cactus Jack na próxima ronda. Caso ambos os lutadores de um destes dois duos passem às meias finais, mesmo que acabem por não conseguir vencer o torneio, terão certamente que ser levados a sério pelos The Harts, como legítimos candidatos para a primeira defesa dos seus recentemente conquistados AJPW World Tag Team titles. De destacar também Jushin Thunder Liger, o único junior heavyweight ainda em prova, que irá defrontar Doug Furnas, com o companheiro deste último, depois de surpreender Akira Taue, a tentar certamente fazer o mesmo na próxima ronda frente a Kenta Kobashi, o único heavyweight japonês ainda em prova. ______________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

"ROYAL ROAD PART 1" - 1st ROUND FULL RESULTS: O arranque deste AJPW Royal Road foi marcado não por um combate relativo ao torneio em si, mas antes pelo combate de despedida de Haruka Eigen que, fazendo equipa com os seus colegas e rivais de longa data "Jumbo" Tsuruta & Mighty Inoue, venceram o trio de jovens composto pelos NO FEAR & Kentaro Shiga, com Eigen a fechar a sua carreira com uma vitória, na qual conseguiu o cover para a vitória sobre Shiga, transitando agora a tempo inteiro para o papel de road agent. Relativamente ao AJPW Royal Road Tournament 1995, a primeira ronda não nos trouxe surpresas de maior. Os dois encontros em teoria mais equilibrados seriam os que punham frente a frente dois junior heavyweights, com os ex-AJPW World Junior Heavyweight champions a saírem vencedores, com Dean Malenko a ultrapassar Naoki Sano e Masanobu Fuchi a superiorizar-se a El Samurai. Na próxima ronda teremos já alguns combates bem interessantes, nomeadamente aqueles que envolvem rivalidades recentes, com Dan Kroffat dos Stampede a defrontar Akira Taue dos Holy Demon Army e Stan "the Lariat" Hansen, líder dos Southern Brawlers, a estrear-se na competição, após um bye na primeira ronda, frente a Hiroshi Hase dos Super Generation Army. ______________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

O primeiro deles viu os mais estabelecidos Heya (Big John Tenta & Yoshiaki Yatsu) & Samson Fuyuki derrotar o duo de young lions NO FEAR (Takao Omori & Yoshihiro Takayama) & Jun Izumida. Seguiu-se um 8-Man Tag Team match composto exclusivamente por junior heavyweights no qual a experiência se revelou também bastante preciosa, com The Great Sasuke a conseguir o pinfall para a vitória sobre Kaz Hayashi. Finalmente, tivemos os recém rebatizados MastoDeath a vencerem os Can-Am Express, parceiros dos The Harts nos Stampede, marcando ainda mais a sua posição como mais que prováveis próximos oponentes de quem vencer o main event desta noite com os AJPW World Tag Team titles em disputa. ALL ASIA TAG TEAM - V1 vs. GREAT COMBAT UNIT (KEN SHAMROCK & DAN SEVERN) (c) vs. BLUE BLOODS ("BEAUTIFUL" BOBBY EATON & STEVEN REGAL) Os primeiros títulos em disputa esta noite foram os All Asia Tag Team championships, com Ken Shamrock & Dan Severn a serem os dois escolhidos para representarem os Great Combat Unit naquela que foi a primeira defesa dos títulos que venceram em maio, no AJPW Fan Appreciation Day 1995. Pela frente tinham os Blue Bloods, a dupla composta por "Beautiful" Bobby Eaton & Steven Regal, dois homens também eles bastante proficientes na vertente mais técnica do wrestling, algo que gerou uma excelente disputa com Shamrock & Severn, levando a um combate de excelente nível. Os campeões mostraram, ainda assim, ser mais capazes, não tanto na execução das manobras em si, mas antes na potência que conseguiam aplicar nas mesmas, com Dan Severn a conseguir eventualmente submeter Steven Regal, com um Armbar. GREAT COMBAT UNIT DEF. BLUE BLOODS TO RETAIN THE ALL ASIA TAG TEAM CHAMPIONSHIPS [93] - 21:38 (Severn -> Regal) 10-MAN TAG TEAM MATCH vs. SUPER GENERATION ARMY vs. SOUTHERN BRAWLERS & "JUMBO" TSURUTA De seguida tínhamos Mitsuharu Misawa e Stan "the Lariat" Hansen, protagonistas do combate do ano no AJPW Summer Festival 1995, novamente frente a frente, desta feita juntamente com as suas respetivas fações. Como os Southern Brawlers têm apenas quatro elementos, em comparação com os cinco dos Super Generation Army, "Jumbo" Tsuruta foi recrutado para completar o quinteto de Hansen, um homem com imensa história com várias das figuras envolvidas neste combate. Em boa hora Tsuruta se decidiu juntar à contenda, tendo sido decisivo em vários momentos do combate, em nenhum mais do que no final do mesmo, impedindo in extremis que o junior heavyweight Tsuyoshi Kikuchi conseguisse dar a tag em Kenta Kobashi, mantendo-o dentro do ringue antes de acabar por eventualmente o derrotar. SOUTHERN BRAWLERS & "JUMBO" TSURUTA DEF. SUPER GENERATION ARMY [96] - 23:33 (Tsuruta -> Kikuchi) No final do combate a celebração foi contida e bastante respeitosa, com "Jumbo" Tsuruta a requisitar de seguida um microfone para, mais um vez, pedir desculpa aos fãs e a Giant Baba pela forma como se tem comportado nos últimos anos, essencialmente pela sua associação com Genichiro Tenryu (homem que, curiosamente, tem estado ausente desde a humilhação que sofrera às mãos de "Jumbo" no mês passado) e anunciando também que está a entrar numa nova fase da sua carreira, uma fase em que quer dar de volta à companhia tudo aquilo que a AJPW lhe deu ao longo da sua carreira e que, também por isso, não irá tomar parte no AJPW Royal Road Tournament deste ano, dizendo que é altura de dar oportunidades à nova geração. AJPW WORLD JUNIOR HEAVYWEIGHT - V2 vs. DEAN MALENKO (c) vs. JUNIOR CHALLENGE SERIES WINNER WILD PEGASUS Segue-se mais um combate por um título, desta feita o AJPW World Junior Heavyweight championship. Dean Malenko tentava aqui prolongar aquele que é o seu segundo reinado enquanto que Wild Pegasus, depois de ter visto a chance de ser ele a quebrar o reinado histórico de Jushin Thunder Liger, saiu vencedor da Junior Challenge Series e tem aqui a hipótese de, pela primeira vez na sua carreira, ascender ao topo da montanha da junior heavyweight division. O combate foi extremamente duro, de boa qualidade, com Dean Malenko a acompanhar perfeitamente, de forma até algo surpreendente, a ofensiva mais aérea de WIld Pegasus. Dean Malenko teve uma chance de conseguir mesmo vencer o combate, mas, enquanto o árbitro se certificava que Wild Pegasus não tinha um dos seus pés na corda, o challenger aproveitou para atacar os olhos do seu oponente, tendo Malenko imediatamente acusado uma possível lesão. Tal não melhorou após Pegasus aplicar um diving headbutt que acertou em cheio na face de Malenko, precisamente do lado que Pegasus havia atacado, e a partir daí as contrariedades eram já demasiadas para o campeão conseguir ultrapassar. Wild Pegasus tomou conta do encontro e, com um agressivo crossface (sem problemas em, quando possível, voltar a carregar na órbita lesionada de Dean Malenko), acabou mesmo por fazer o campeão submeter, conquistando assim o AJPW World Junior Heavyweight championship. WILD PEGASUS DEF. DEAN MALENKO TO WIN THE AJPW WORLD JUNIOR HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP [94] - 27:17 AJPW WORLD TAG TEAM - V4 vs. HOLY DEMON ARMY (TOSHIAKI KAWADA & AKIRA TAUE) (c) vs. THE HARTS (BRET "HITMAN" HART & OWEN HART) No main event da noite neste AJPW Summer Impact 1995 temos a (esperemos) conclusão de uma rivalidade que começou já há mais de meio ano atrás, durante a AJPW Real World Tag League 1994, entre os vencedores da mesma e, por isso, AJPW World Tag Team champions Holy Demon Army e os The Harts. Como tem acontecido sempre que estes dois pares se encontram no ringue, o combate foi de enorme qualidade, mais um main event de excelente nível na AJPW, nada ficando a dever ao clássico que fechou o último evento entre Mitsuharu Misawa e Stan "the Lariat" Hansen. Ambos os pares tiveram momentos de domínio no combate, os Holy Demon Army focando o seu ataque mais no brawler style de Kawada & Taue, enquanto que Bret & Owen foram, como habitualmente, mais metódicos, tentando atacar as pernas dos oponentes para tentar o eventual sharpshooter que resolvesse a questão. Esta estratégia, como já acontecera noutras ocasiões, revelou-se problemática no que ao tempo limite do combate diz respeito e, com menos de um minuto no relógio até a um novo time limit draw, a situação não parecia diferente. Contudo, os Harts tinham um truque na manga, com figure fours tanto de Owen como de Bret em simultâneo, usando o poste do ringue, em Akira Taue, após terem deixado Toshiaki Kawada já fora de combate. Bret "Hitman" Hart, depois do dano feito, arrastou Taue para o centro do ringue, alterando a manobra de submissão para o seu clássico sharpshooter. Taue olhou em redor mas, não vendo o seu parceiro, que estava agora ocupado com Owen Hart, não teve outra hipótese que não dar o tap out, com os The Harts a vencerem assim os AJPW World Tag Team championships, numa noite memorável para os Stampede, após a conquista do título também por parte de Wild Pegasus. THE HARTS DEF. HOLY DEMON ARMY TO WIN THE AJPW WORLD TAG TEAM CHAMPIONSHIPS [99] - 29:30 (Bret Hart -> Taue) ______________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ Na conferência de imprensa após o evento, foi apresentada a bracket para o AJPW Royal Road Tournament 1995, a começar em breve, e cujo vencedor poderá, até ao final do ano, escolher disputar um combate por um dos títulos da companhia (daí os atuais detentores de títulos não estarem presentes). Esta apresentação foi interrompida por um agora ex-AJPW World Tag Team champion Toshiaki Kawada, que confrontou Mitsuharu Misawa, exigindo um combate pela AJPW Triple Crown. Misawa perguntou a Kawada se, já que estava assim tão desesperado por uma hipótese, porque não participar no torneio. Kawada respondeu que a bracket estava já formada quando se deu a mudança de títulos, no main event do AJPW Summer Impact 1995 e que já não se pode inscrever, algo que Misawa estranhou, principalmente porque Akira Taue, parceiro de Kawada e também ele até há pouco campeão, parecia não ter tido problemas. Toshiaki Kawada não gostou da resposta e acabou por atacar o campeão, sendo preciso segurança separá-los antes das perguntas dos jornalistas poderem continuar, segmento no qual Haruka Eigen anunciou que se vai retirar dos ringues e passar a trabalhar exclusivamente no backstage, com o seu combate de despedida a ser no primeiro dia da Royal Road Series..

A última vez que tive uma discussão dessas foi com uma tia minha, há um par de natais atrás, que andava incomodada com a quantidade de estrangeiros. Não por serem ilegais, ou por serem criminosos, só porque são muitos, ou pelo menos assim o diz, para não parecer tão mal. Nunca mais fez choradinho nem a ouvi mandar bocas. À minha frente, pelo menos. Quando ao resto da discussão política, com malta mais afastada, desde que não estejam a ser abertamente racistas, xenófobos ou homofóbicos, mas apenas com a cassete da corrupção e do xuxalismo e de isto precisar de um Salazar, é smile and wave e tomar nota mental dos que não valem a pena.

Eu já estou mentalizado que vou ter problemas cá por casa. Tenho um estaleiro de obras literalmente do outro lado da estrada, que já está embargado há coisa de meio ano. E vão, se for exames feitos no SNS. Se for numa clínica privada, como é a grande maioria das análises e exames mais ou menos de rotina não vão. E nem tem a ver com a organização do SNS, como o caramelo quer fazer parecer, mas antes com a lei de proteção de dados.

"SUMMER ACTION SERIES II, PART 2" - THE ROAD TO SUMMER IMPACT FULL RESULTS: A segunda metade desta Summer Action Series II, não trouxe grandes novidades no que ao card do AJPW Summer Impact 1995 diz respeito, já que este estava basicamente concluído, principalmente no que a title matches diz respeito. Ainda assim, e depois de terem tido um dos melhores combates da história da companhia no AJPW Summer Festival 1995, Mitsuharu Misawa e Stan "the Lariat" Hansen vão voltar a estar frente a frente, desta feita num 10-Man Tag Team matches que envolverá a totalidade dos dois grupos, Super Generation Army e Southern Brawlers. Com os Southern Brawlers em desvantagem numérica era preciso mais um homem para equilibrar as contas e quem melhor do que "Jumbo" Tsuruta, um homem com imensa história quer com Misawa quer com Hansen, para completar o combate. Não é, contudo, só com esse combate que o atual AJPW Triple Crown champion tem que se importar, já que Mitsuharu Misawa foi confrontado, após o main event da noite sete, por outro dos seus eternos rivais, Toshiaki Kawada. O líder dos Holy Demon Army, também ele em mãos com uma bicuda feud com The Harts pelos AJPW World Tag Team championships, exigiu a Misawa uma hipótese de lutar pela AJPW Triple Crown, já que Misawa havia defrontado basicamente todos os outros nomes grandes da companhia, sendo Kawada a exceção. Misawa respondeu dizendo que o AJPW Royal Road Tournament está aí à porta, e se Kawada quer uma hipótese, basta vencer o mesmo. Toshiaki Kawada relembrou que, enquanto atual detentor de um dos títulos da companhia, não poderia participar no certame, com Mitsuharu Misawa a dizer que tinha a certeza que, após o AJPW Summer Impact 1995, Kawada não mais seria campeão, algo que serviu apenas para irritar ainda mais o seu rival. No que aos títulos em disputa já no AJPW Summer Impact 1995 diz respeito, foi interessante ver Wild Pegasus e Jushin Thunder Liger fazerem equipa para defrontarem (e derrotarem) o AJPW World Junior Heavyweight champion Dean Malenko & Eddie Guerrero, sendo o próprio Liger a conseguir o pinfall da vitória sobre o campeão, algo que azedou ainda mais uma já ténue parceria de circunstância entre o ex-campeão e o vencedor da Junior Challenge Series.
