  3. November The big news this month was the report that the group that owns the Jacksonville Jaguars has filled some interesting trademark related to wrestling. “All Elite Wrestling, Double or Nothing, “All Out” and “Wednesday Night Dynamite” were all filled with the US Office of Patents to be used in a wrestling environment. What makes this more interesting, other the fact that the name suggests The Elite might be associated with this group, is the fact that Tony Khan, son of Jacksonville Jaguar and Fulham FC owner Shahid Khan, is reportedly a huge wrestling fan, known for posting on various message boards across the years. What this means remains to be seen, but we will keep tabs on this story. WWE keeps on resigning some talents. Becky Lynch got a huge 7 figure deal, and they also resigned Vic Joseph, Kassius Ohno, Mike Rotunda, Kayla Braxton, Dasha Gonzalez, Gurv Shira, Chris Sharpe, Brie Bella, Hulk Hogan, Tucker Knight, Marina Shafir, Gran Metallik, Drew McIntyre, Luke Menzies, Maria Kanellis, Ruby Riott, TJP and Bobby Fish WWE has also signed another independent name from ROH, this time current ROH World Champion Dalton Castle. In worse news for the business, Lucha Underground appears to be on the way out. After 4 successful seasons on the El Rey Network, it quickly became a cult favorite, but both El Rey and AAA appear to consider the show too costly to continue producing it. The rumor has it that WWE will buy out the tape library and that will be it for LU. WWE has decided to completely tear apart NXT, calling up some of the biggest names on the brand. Adam Cole, Aliester Black, Bianca Belair, Angelo Dawkins, IYO SKY, Johnny Gargano, Kyle O’Reilly, Lard Sullivan, Nikki Cross, Ricochet. Roderick Strong, Steve Cutler, Tommaso Ciampa, Velveteen Dream and Wesley Blake will all be joining the main roster. 5. October In very interesting news coming out from Dragon Gate, Shingo Takagi is not renewing his contract. Shingo is one of the main draws for the company and this came as a bit of a surprise. NOAH, AJPW and even NJPW is monitoring the situation very closely, with even WWE being rumored to be looking at Takagi, with their recent push for more international stars. WWE continues to extend some contracts. This month was Eric Young, Zack Gibson, Paul Ellering, JBL, Charlie Morgan, Eddie Dennis and James Ellsworth With some surprise, WWE has decided to not extend the contract of Mojo Rawley. With decent size and physique and a somewhat close relationship with NFL star Rob Gronkowski, feeling backstage was that he would be used to get the popular football player in a match at some point down the line, but that appears to no longer be the case. Kalisto, also known as Samuray del Sol, has also not seeing his contract renewed. In the WWE signs a big independent name news, they have signed Punishment Martinez from ROH, where he was the World Television Champion. In unfortunate news, it appears that Maryse suffered a very serious injury at Crown Jewel. During a pre-show match against Ruby Riott, Ruby performed a DDT and right away Ruby popped back up and attacked the ref. The signal was immediate to the back and Maryse was carted off in a stretcher. I am hearing that it was something related to her spine and there are fears that she might not walk again. Of course that Ruby is not being blamed and she was in tears backstage. 6. September The reception and buyrates for ALL IN is exceeding every expectation that the Elite had set. With a lot of people calling it one of the best PPVs in recent American history and being compared favorably to Summerslam, they knocked it out of the park. Of course the big story coming out of there is the appearance of Bryan Danielson. Bryan and the WWE were quietly in contract talks over the last few months, with Bryan expressing a desire of having a sort of a new contract in modern times for the WWE, with him being allowed to work certain NJPW shows. Vince was of course totally against that and that was the defining line in the negotiations. Only Kenny Omega knew that Bryan would be at ALL IN. From what we know, Bryan contacted Kenny 2 days before the show, saying that his contract with WWE was up and that he would love to appear at ALL IN. Not wanting to give away Bryan Danielson’s first independent match in almost 10 years without any sort of hype, they quickly worked on the closing segment of the show. The shocked faces of everyone in the ring was not a work. Kota Ibushi appears to have suffered a Broken Heel after the main event of ALL IN, after a botch on a move involving Bandido. Kota was mad at Bandido but after a quick talk with Omega and Bandido, everything appears to have been sorted out. As I said, spirits were incredibly high backstage after ALL IN, but a group of wrestlers is being talked up the most. Nicole Matthews had an amazing performance in the tag match and was heavily praised, with some saying that she had the performance of the night. Portia Perez was also heavily praised, especially after the promo that she and Nicole cut. Orange Cassidy was praised for his ability to immediately connect with the more workrate heavy crowd and WALTER had huge fans backstage, the biggest one of them being Okada. They were seen talking after the match and rumour has it that WALTER might have just gotten himself a couple of tours with New Japan. In WWE news, the signings continue. Brandon Tate, one of the boys that comes out with Dalton Castle in ROH has signed a contract. Joining him are AAA World Tag Team Champion Laredo Kid and Marshall von Erich In more WWE news, they have extended the contracts of some big names. Roman Reigns and The Miz appear to have resigned for a 3 year period, with Roman’s contract being rumored to approach the 8 figures. Roderick Strong has seen his contract extended as well. 7. All In Report sent bt cmpunkfan4ever on DVDVR The broadcast starts with Excalibur, Shane Douglas and Taz, who I guess are our announcers for tonight. They run down the card and promise a great night of independent professional wrestling. (58) Match 1: Best Friends vs SCU A nice fun match, Cassidy did his “I am lazy and I really don’t care stuff” that got pretty over with the crowd. However, it was SCU that ended up picking up the win after 15:10 (65) Match 2: Portia Perez and Nicole Matthews vs Chelsea Green and Britt Baker This is Portia’s first match in nearly 3 years, she was thought to have retired with a pretty bad neck injury but it appears to be fine now. Portia and Nicole are Shimmer legends and they basically built that company on their backs, so it was pretty nice to see them get a spotlight here. Chelsea Green is more known right now for her pretty solid run in Lucha Underground and Britt Baker is her traditional tag partner. Portia and Nicole pick up the win in 12:51. (67) After the match, Portia and Nicole cut a skating promo, saying that they haven’t teamed up in 3 years and there is still no tag team on their level. Mic work was always their strongest point and they delivered here. (75) Match 3: Eddie Kingston vs “Hangman” Adam Page - Hardcore Match There was some doubt if IMPACT would allow Eddie to be here after he signed a deal with them, but he showed up. A pretty fun brawl between Page and Kingston, that ends after a barbed wire assisted Buckshot Lariat in 13:18 (71) Match 4: Bea Priestley vs Amazing Kong Bea is not one of the top independent women wrestlers in the world and well, Kong is Kong. A pretty fun “Big Woman vs Small Woman” match that ends after Kong hits a Flying Splash after 6:56 (66) Match 5: Briscoe Brothers vs Flip Gordon and Jay Lethal Flip and Jay have been feuding recently in both ROH and in Being The Elite, and they played up that story here against the Briscoes. The end comes when Lethal is going for the Lethal injection on Jay, Mark replaces him with Gordon, allowing the Briscoes to pick up the win in 8:47. (70) Match 6: Kazuchika Okada vs WALTER After this match was announced, I said that this could very well end up MOTN. And I think that I might have been right. WALTER, despite his size, moves incredibly well and has an infinite gas tank and Okada is, well, Okada. A very good back and forth match that ends in a time limit draw after 30 minutes. (82) Match 7: Cody vs Hiroshi Tanahashi Cody came out at the end of the G1 to challenge Tanahashi for this match, and Tanahashi readily accepted. They matched up pretty well and surprisingly, Cody picks up the win with the Cross Rhodes after 22:55 (77) Match 8: Kenny Omega vs Penta El Zero Miedo Perhaps the big draw of this event, Kenny is maybe the best wrestler in the world right now and Penta is on a huge hot streak with his work in Lucha Underground. A true dream match, Kenny ends up picking up the win with the OWA after 23:49 (80) But the big moment came after the match when a fan wearing a Penta mask stormed the ring and hit Kenny with a baseball bat. Of course, for anyone with eyes, it was obvious who it was and he revealed himself to be, of course, Chris Jericho! (75) Match 9: Rey Fénix, Rey Mysterio Jr. and Bandido vs The Golden Elite Everyone knew that it was Rey’s last match on this indie run, and everyone showed him the love and respect that he deserves. The Golden Elite worked heel, surprisingly, but it worked and it lead to Rey picking up the win with the 619 after 21:08. (75) Everyone in the Main Event is shaking hands and celebrating All In with the fans, when the lights go out. You start to hear the intro to Final Countdown and THE AMERICAN DRAGON IS HERE AT ALL IN! The crowd goes absolutely bananas and Bryan gets in the ring, cutting a promo talking about he he is fucking back and he is ready to kick some fucking heads in and change the fucking world (63) Overall, it was a great show. It showed that there is a desire for an alternative when it comes to professional wrestling and with 2 very good matches, it is definitely a must watch. Of course, the big story coming out of this one is the fact that Bryan Danielson has left the WWE and I am super interested to know what happens there. (80)
  8. Ver o Ticampos a ser falado na imprensa nacional é sempre hilariante, tbh
  9. August 2018 We can confirm that Rey Mysterio has signed a multi year deal with WWE. He is reportedly going to be earning into the 7 figures on this new deal, which is a bit of a surprise given his age. WWE has also signed 8 wrestlers to developmental deals. Myles Kayman (20), Josh Bodom (27), Ben Basden (19), Kenny Williams (27), Chris Tyler (27), Rob Lias (23), Rory Coyle (22), James R. Kennedy (26) and Cassius (24) will all be joining NXT:UK. It appears that WWE has not just raided the British scene. Timothy Thatcher, El Lindaman, Dan Barry, Peter Avalon and John Silver have all signed contracts with them. Eddie Kingston has signed an Exclusive Deal with iMPACT!, for the next 2 years. - This weekend we will have the biggest independent show in American Wrestling history, with All In. Ticket sales are very strong and they are expecting around 11 thousand people in attendance at the Sears Center in Chicago. Just as a reminder, here is the card.
