Foi o 1º de categoria 500 ou superior que contou com os 4 semifinalistas nascidos na década de 90. É um número que impressiona até porque o mais velho dos 4 nasceu em 1997. Foi também o 1º torneio do circuito ATP a contar com 4 semifinalistas Sub-21 desde o torneio de Buenos Aires de 1995. Só para dar uma ideia os 4 Sub-21 de Buenos Aires foram Alex Corretja, Felix Mantilla, Jiri Novak e o benjamin Carlos Moya...Sim, já lá vão mais de 23 anos que esse "fenómeno" ocorreu. Foi ainda o 1º torneio do circuito a contar com 2 teenagers entre os 4 semifinalistas desde o torneio de Miami de 2007. Os teenagers em Miami foram... Novak Djokovic e Andy Murray.
