Vic Joseph: Good evening ladies and gentleman, and welcome to Monday Night Raw, the last one under Paul Wight’s  management. We are live from the Bankers Life Fieldhouse, in Indianapolis, Indiana. 

Byron Saxton: I just wanna say that Paul has been one of the  greatest general managers that Raw has ever seen and I’m sad to see him  leaving. 

Booker T: That may be true, but he made a terrible mistake by neglecting Brock Lesnar, and that costed him his job. 

Vic Joseph: But we have to start the show. In the ring we have the Intercontinental Champion to host The Kevin Owens Show. 

 

No ringue vemos Kevin Owens e todos os seus desafiantes para o No Way Out: Sami Zayn, Adam Cole, Randy Orton, Rusev e Roderick Strong. 

Owens: Guys, thank you all for coming here. It is a little crowded, usually I have more space to my guests but hey, we have to get used to it, because we’ll be all locked inside the chamber and there’s not a lot of space in there. If the rest of you don’t mind, I will address one in particular, Randy Orton. Randy, I’d shake your hand, but we all know where that has been... I think you have a problem, Randy, because pretty much everyone in this match hates your guts. The last time we saw you you were losing to Drew McIntyre, but then you inserted yourself in this title picture by attacking me and attacking Roderick. And last week, you costed your team the match, when you attacked Adam Cole, of course that a little later on that didn’t worked very well for you… 

Orton: There’s something you have to understand, I’m Randy Orton, I can do what I want, when I want, to who I want. Do you think that at this point of this career I care about a tag team match on Raw? No. I care about that, the Intercontinental Championship, because I want to keep winning titles to keep showing that I’m the greatest this business as ever seen. 

Neste momento Adam Cole ri-se. 

Adam: The greatest? Really? What have you done lately, Orton? You lost to Edge at Wrestlemania, you lost to Drew at Battleground… last week I hitted you with the Panama sunrise right there, outside of the ring, and trust me, Sunday I’ll do the same and I will win that title and prove that I’m the new face of Monday Night Raw. 

Rusev: An ugly face, that’s what that is? 

Adam: What did you said? Who even still cares about you, Rusev? You used to be a brute, you used to wreck everyone that stepped in your way, and now? Nothing more than a stupid repackaged gimmick that no one cares about anymore. 

Rusev: You can think whatever you want, but if you insist, next Sunday I’ll remember you how I used to wreck everyone, when I bend your back to much that the back of your head will touch your ass. 

Os ânimos exaltam-se, e é Roderick Strong que tenta manter a calma. 

Roderick: Everyone just calm down, let’s save it for Sunday. We all earned this opportunity so let’s make the best out of it. What I don’t understand is why you had the chance to earn the opportunity, Sami. Isn’t the former champion supposed to go to the back of the line? 

Sami: That’s true, but yet here I am. And what are you doing here? Will you go to No Way Out to win or just to be Adam’s sidekick? 

Roderick: You can all try to create tension between me and Adam, but that ain’t gonna work, because the Undisputed Era is stronger than ever, and we would never turn on each other, like your friends did to you, Sami. How bad of a leader do you have to be to have your group turning on you? 

Sami: I can’t tell you how good or bad leader I am, but after this you can tell me how good of an ass kicker I am. 

Sami levanta-se da sua cadeira e lança-se a Roderick Strong. Começa uma grande brawl entre todos, e acabam todos por sair do ringue mas o título acaba por ficar caído no ringue. No ringside, no meio da confusão Strong atira Rusev contra os degraus de aço. Strong entra no ringue e agarra no título, mas é surpreendido por Sami Zayn que aplica a blue thunder bomb. De repente entra Adam Cole em ringue que aplica o last shot a Sami. Agora é Owens que entra no ringue e aplica o stunner a Cole. RKO, Orton no seu movimento clássico surpreende o campeão e agarra agora ele no título. Mas de repente Rusev volta ao ringue e acerta o Machka kick em Orton, e não satisfeito prende o accolade. Rusev depois larga e agarra ele no título, enquanto estão todos no chão, e manda uma mensagem clara. 

Aiden: Next Sunday will be… 

RUSEV DAAAAAAAYYYYYYYYY 

 

Passamos ao backstage, onde vemos Edge com Ricochet, até que chega Shane, diz que tem que falar com Edge e Ricochet deixa-os sozinhos. 

Shane: During the week I thought better, and I don’t think it’s fair to punish you for Drew’s actions. So tonight, whether you win or lose, you will be at No Way Out fighting for the WWE title.. 

Edge: What are you trying to pull here? 

Shane: Absolutely nothing, I just want to be fair, you deserve this opportunity. However… you have to consider if now you really want to win tonight, because if you do Drew will also be in that match, and it will be one more threat to you and to your dream of becoming WWE Champion again. 

Edge: Ok you just made perfectly clear what you’re trying to do, but I don’t play those games. 

Shane: Just think about it, Edge. Drew out of No Way Out is the best for both of us. 

 

Passamos ao ringue para o primeiro combate da noite. 

Ali & Mike Bennett vs The Geniuses

vs

Zack Ryder e Mike Bennett começam o combate, e o domínio inicial pertence aos Geniuses, que fazem uso da sua experiência como equipa e truques baixos para isolarem Bennett no seu canto, e com constantes tags conseguem desgastá-lo bastante, mas sempre que tentam o pin, Bennett safa-se. Entretanto os Geniuses ficam demasiado convencidos, e começam a perder tempo com trash talk, e Hawkins esbofeteia Bennett, o que o irrita e faz com que ele reaja. Bennett consegue acertar uma lariat e aplica um delayed vertical suplex, vai para o pin mas Hawkins safa-se. Bennett faz o tag com Ali, este sobe ao canto mas Ryder entra no ringue, Ali salta por cima dele e depois vira-se e acerta-lhe um dropkick que o atira para fora do ringue. Hawkins levanta-se e puxa Ali, mas este responde com um enziguri. Ali volta a subir ao canto e consegue acertar o 450 splash. 1,2...3 Ali consegue a vitória para a sua equipa. 

 

Terminado o combate, Ali e Bennett celebram, mas de repente fica tudo escuro, no ecrã aparece o já famoso hacker, de costas para a câmera, que diz: 

Hacker: You have to know who you can trust, otherwise you are not aware of what’s going on around you. 

O hacker passa um vídeo, que data da passada sexta feira. No vídeo vemos Ali a sair do seu carro, dirige-se a uma casa onde ele bate à porta. Passado um pouco a porta é aberta por… Maria Kanellis, a ex-mulher de Mike Bennett. Ali entra em casa com Maria, e a porta fecha-se, e termina assim o vídeo. 

No ringue, Mike está furioso. Ali tenta explicar, e dizer que não é o que parece. Mas Mike não o quer ouvir, dá-lhe um soco e abandona o ringue, cabisbaixo.  

 

Passamos ao escritório do General Manager Paul Wight, onde ele está e chegam os American Alpha. 

Paul: Guys, I am so so sorry about what went down last week. You deserved the title match at No Way Out, and Shane screwed you. I tried to book the match again, but since I won't be the General Manager by the time No Way Out happens, they won't let me book it. I also tried to book that match for tonight but well, Shane didn't allowed it. I know it's not a good situation, but I'm sure you'll be able to recover from this and one day you'll get to those tag titles. 

Chad: You don't have to apologize, we know it's not your fault. But I promise you Shane is gonna regret what he did to us and what he did to you. You're one of the best general managers this show has ever seen. 

Jason: Chad, this got me thinking. Maybe we being together as a tag team is not the best. I don't want to be the reason why you are held back. 

Chad: That's nonsense. Shane targeted us because of who your father is, so that's like attacking my family too. You're my brother, man. 

Paul: It's your decision, but I do believe that you two are stronger together. And for tonight, I'll book you on a match so you can unload all the anger. Unfortunately it can't be against the Good Brothers because they already have a match tonight, but what do you think about facing the Forgotten Sons? 

Jason: That sounds good, we're gonna wreck them. 

  

Voltamos ao ringue, com Cesaro, Sheamus, Ohno e Nakamura. 

Sheamus: For the last few weeks we've been going through some changes. We kicked Sami Zayn out of the group and we replaced him by the superior athlete Kassius Ohno. 

Ohno: And I must say it is an absolute pleasure to team up with you, Sheamus, as well as with Nakamura and my long time friend Cesaro. 

Cesaro: For years I've been overlooked and ignored by management, but that's over now. Because now I have this fantastic group around me, and there are no limits for what we can do together. We represent different nations of the world, Switerland, USA, Ireland and Japan, and together we are Formidable, Undaunted, Strong, Intelligent and we're always ON. 

Os 4 tiram os seus casacos e revelam as suas novas t-shirts negras, com as bandeiras dos seus países de origem, e com um logo com a palavra "FUSION". 

Cesaro: And if there is anybody in the back that has the courage to step in the ring right now, I am ready for a fight. 

Eles esperam um bocado até que apareça alguém.

Cesaro vs Humberto Carrillo

vs

Carrillo começa o combate com o fogo todo, conseguindo acertar alguns golpes acrobáticos, mas rapidamente os membros dos FUSION que estão no ringside fazem o seu trabalho para causar uma distração, o que permite a Cesaro assumir o controlo do combate com uma running european uppercut. A partir daí são alguns minutos de controlo de Cesaro, com Carrillo a tentar reagir de vez em quando, mas sem grande sucesso. O combate termina quando Cesaro empurra Carrillo contra as cordas, este usa-as para aplicar um springboard dropkick mas Cesaro consegue-lhe agarrar as pernas no ar, e prende o sharpshooter no meio do ringue. Carrillo tenta resistir por um bocado, mas acaba por ter que desistir. 

  

Os FUSION festejam a vitória no ringue, mas começa-se a ouvir a sirene de uma ambulância, que aparece pouco depois ao lado da rampa. Sheamus, Nakamura e Ohno saem do ringue e vão em direção à ambulância. De lá, sai Drew Gulak a sorrir. De repente no ringue, aparece Daniel Bryan por trás de Cesaro, e quando ele se vira... running knee. Sheamus, Ohno e Nakamura correm de volta para o ringue, mas Bryan sai de lá a correr, consegue fugir rampa acima e trepa para cima da ambulância, enquanto Gulak faz marcha-atrás e vão-se embora. Bryan vai no topo da amblância a fazer o sinal de "YES" com o público a acompanhar.

The American Alpha vs The Forgotten Sons

vs

Chad Gable e Wesley Blake começam o combate. Steve Cutler é o outro membro dos Forgotten Sons em combate, enquanto que Jaxson Ryker assiste no ringside. O combate arranca com equilíbrio, mas pouco depois Gable consegue assumir o controlo. Os primeiros minutos são com Gable e Jordan a fazerem vários tags e a dominarem Wesley Blake, até que este consegue surpreender Jordan com um scoop powerslam. Blake faz o tag com Cutler, que entra em ringue muito agressivo, e aplica alguns golpes em Jordan, tentando depois o pin mas sem sucesso. Cutler decide subir ao ringue, lança-se para um diving elbow drop mas Jordan consegue desviar-se. Jordan assume depois o controlo, e aplica um saito suplex, tenta o pin mas Cutler safa-se. Jordan continua ao ataque, e consegue aplicar um pumphandle suplex, mas neste momento Ryker puxa Cutler para fora do ringue antes que Jason tente o pin. Ryker ajuda Cutler a levantar-se, e Blake junta-se a eles para tentarem redefinir a estratégia, mas não reparam que neste momento está Chad Gable a correr na apron e lança-se para eles com um cannonball senton, derrubando todos. Gable agarra depois em Cutler e volta a metê-lo para o ringue, onde Jason agarra nele e aplica o Jordan slam. 1,2,3 vitória para os American Alpha. 

  

Enquanto os American Alpha estão a celebrar a vitória, aparecem os Raw Tag Team Champions, The Usos. 

Jimmy: Hey, hold on, hold on. We don't agree with what Shane did to you. You earned the match at No Way Out, and we wanted to fight you. 

Jey: Yeah, because you may have beated us on singles matches, but on a tag match, we wanted to prove that we are better than you, and believe me, we would prove that. So maybe Shane actually did you a favor by pulling you out of the match. 

Chad: Jey, or Jimmy, sorry I'm not really sure which one you are. Why don't YOU do me a favor? Win your match at No Way Out, hold on to those tag titles, because sooner or later we're coming for them again, and we will take them away from you. 

  

Passamos ao backstage com Charly Caruso que encontra o General Manager, Paul Wight. 

Charly: Paul, I can't say how sorry I am that this is your last Raw. 

Paul: I may leave today, but I go in peace, because I know I always did my best to please the WWE Universe and to help all the superstars to grow. In fact, I just confirmed with the board of directors, and since it's not a title match, I can book one last match for No Way Out, and I'm sure it's gonna be one that everyone will enjoy. At No Way Out, Daniel Bryan will face Cesaro one on one, and everyone will be banned from ringside to assure those two will entertain us without any outside interference. 

  

E voltamos ao ringue.

Peyton e Billie vêm até ao ringue, e estão com cara de poucos amigos. 

Billie: RONDA, SHAYNA... you costed us the WWE Women's Tag Team titles, and last week you attacked us after our match, and that was completely uncalled for. 

Peyton: We are sick and tired of the two of you walking around like you own this entire place, so we are here to challenge you for a tag team match, right here, right now. 

Theme da Ronda Rousey 

Ronda e Shayna aparecem e juntam-se às IIconics no ringue. 

Ronda: You chicks must be out of your mind. Do you wanna die? Do you really think you even stand a chance to survive against us? 

Peyton: You think you're so bad and so strong... but you're waaaay to full of yourselves... and you see, we’re not the only ones you pissed off.

Naomi fica na rampa à espera. 

Theme da Becky Lynch 

Becky junta-se a ela. No ringue, Ronda e Shayna parecem estar a ficar preocupadas. 

Theme da Mandy Rose 

Mandy aparece de muletas, é a primeira vez que a vemos desde que Shayna a lesionou há um mês. 

As três dirigem-se ao ringue, e Ronda e Shayna vêm-se encurraladas no meio de Becky, Naomi, Peyton, Billie e Mandy. De repente Mandy larga as muletas e mostra que já está bem, e as cinco começam a atacar Ronda e Shayna, fazendo-as pagar por tudo o que têm feito, para delírio da crowd. Entretanto Mandy pega numa muleta e começa a dar com ela nas costas de Shayna e Ronda, mas enquanto elas se contorcem com os golpes, Ronda vira-se para cima e Mandy acerta-lhe com a muleta em cheio na cara. Isto faz com que Ronda rebole para fora do ringue. No ringue, todas castigam Shayna. Billie acerta-lhe o roaring fist, Peyton aplica o death valley driver. Mandy aplica o bed of roses e Naomi acerta o rear view. Para terminar, Becky prende o dis-arm-her por alguns momentos. No final, todas celebram por finalmente terem dado a Shayna e Ronda (que agora aparece na câmera bastante ensaguentada) o tratamento que mereciam. 

  

Intervalo 

  

Quando regressamos ao show, vemos Ronda e Shayna na enfermaria, onde chega Shane McMahon. 

Shane: I can't say how disgusted I am for what just happened, how are the two of you? 

Ronda levanta-se bastante enervada. 

Ronda: How do you think I am? That little bitch almost broke my face. 

Shayna: Book me on a match with her, this time I will really break her leg. 

Ronda: No, this is my turn to take her of her. Shane, book a match between me and Mandy for No Way Out, I'll even put the title on the line, I don't care. I just want to teach her a lesson she will never forget. 

Shane: Well, consider it done. 

  

De volta ao ringue. 

Vic Joseph: It is time for our last match. Edge and Drew McIntyre will face AJ Styles, Karl Anderson, Luke Gallows and the WWE Champion Samoa Joe. Originally Edge and Drew had to win the match to be added to the WWE title match at No Way Out, but earlier tonight he got to know that Shane McMahon added Edge to the match, so only Drew's spot is on the line. 

Booker T: I'm calling it now, Edge and Drew will not win. Edge is not stupid, he knows that if they win Drew will be one more threat to him at No Way Out. 

Byron Saxton: Edge has integrity, he will fight like his spot is on the line too. 

  

Edge & Drew McIntyre vs The OC & Samoa Joe

vs

Há alguma tensão entre Edge e Drew, já que Drew parece preocupado que Edge o possa trair, já que já tem o seu lugar garantido, e então quer ser ele a começar o combate. Drew começa o combate com Luke Gallows, e apesar de terem uma força semelhante, Drew assume o controlo do combate. Pouco depois Gallows faz o tag com Anderson, para ver se este tem melhor sorte, mas Drew consegue também dominá-lo. É nesta altura que os OC decidem que têm que jogar sujo, e AJ tenta entrar no ringue, apenas para que o árbitro o impeça e fique distraído enquanto Anderson aproveita para puxar o cabelo a Drew e atirá-lo contra a turnbuckle. A partir daí os OC assumem o controlo com constantes tags, mas Samoa Joe nunca entra em combate. No seu canto, Edge desespera para poder entrar no combate, que a esta altura já vai com cerca de 20 minutos. Entretanto, está Gallows em ringue, lança-se para Drew para um body splash, mas este desvia-se e Gallows acerta com a cabeça no poste. Ficam ambos no chão, Edge desespera pelo tag, mas Drew vai-se levantando mas não tenta fazer o tag. Quem consegue o tag é Gallows, e AJ entra no ringue e ataca Drew, aplica várias manobras e tenta o pin por 3 vezes mas Drew safa-se sempre. AJ começa a não saber o que fazer, e quando se aproxima do canto Samoa Joe dá-lhe uma chapada nas costas e faz assim o tag, surpreendendo AJ. Joe diz-lhe “Watch how it’s done” ele agarra em Drew e atira-o contra Edge, fazendo com que Edge embata na barricade. Joe volta a agarrar em Drew e aplica o sleeper suplex, aproxima-se do canto, manda uma chapada no peito de Samoa Joe fazendo o tag e diz-lhe “Finish this!”. O campeão sai do ringue, agarra no seu título e começa a caminhar rampa acima. AJ espera que Drew se levante, e quando ele está de pé... Phenomenal Forearm. 1,2... EDGE ENTRA EM RINGUE E QUEBRA O PIN. Gallows entra em ringue e vai virado a Edge, mas este desvia-se, vai às cordas… SPEAR. Samoa Joe tenta voltar ao ringue, mas assim que sobe à apron Edge vai virado a ele e acerta um big boot que o derruba para fora do ringue. Neste momento AJ consegue chegar ao seu canto e faz o tag com Anderson. Anderson entre no ringue e acerta um dropkick em Edge que o atira para fora do ringue. Anderson prossegue agora o ataque em Drew, mas pouco depois este consegue ripostar e aplica um tilt-a-whirl backbreaker. Neste momento Edge faz o tag nas costas de Drew, que fica a olhar para ele, Edge vai virado ao outro canto e acerta um shoulder tackle em AJ que estava na apron. Anderson vai se levantando no meio do ringue, está encurralado entre Edge e Drew. Anderson cambaleia um pouco e Drew acerta lhe o Glasgow kiss, Anderson fica virado para o outro lado e leva um spear. Edge vai para o pin enquanto Drew controla o ringue para ninguém entrar, 1,2…3 e o combate no No Way Out será um Fatal 4-way. 

  

Assim que termina o combate, Edge ajuda Drew a levantar-se e cumprimentam-se no meio do ringue, mas não largam as mãos, ficando a olhar um para o outro com alguma tensão, dado que domingo serão adversários. É neste momento que AJ e Gallows entram no ringue com cadeiras e os atacam por trás. AJ e Gallows desferem várias cadeiradas violentamente, querendo mandar uma clara mensagem. AJ acaba por ficar por cima no ringue, enquanto que no topo da rampa já está o WWE Champion Samoa Joe, a levantar o seu título bem alto, para que ninguém se esqueça que ele é que é o campeão. 

  

Passamos agora à garagem, onde vemos Shane McMahon prestes a entrar para o seu novo carro (mais um). Entretanto, ao fundo ele vê Paul Wight, que parece estar a despedir-se de alguns dos membros da produção. Shane aproxima-se dele com um sorriso enorme na cara. 

Shane: Hey big man, listen you had a good run, I'll give you that, but now it is over. I'll tell you what, I'm going to leave now, going back to WWE headquarters because I have to start working on the future of this brand, why don't you go to the ring to say goodbye to everyone? 

Paul: You're an asshole, Shane. 

Shane: That's the spirit, big man. Now go say goodbye to your beloved fans.(muda para um tom mais sério) And explain them that the only reason why you're being fired is because you weren't able to do the only thing I ever asked you to do, you stupid giant. 

Muita tensão entre os dois, e vê-se claramente que Paul Wight está com vontade de dar uso ao seu punho. 

  

A câmera muda para outra zona do backstage, onde estão Otis e Mandy Rose. Aproxima-se Charly Caruso. 

Charly: Mandy, I just want to say congratulations. 

Mandy: For what? 

Charly: You don't know? You have a title match at No Way Out against Ronda Rousey, it was made official a while ago. 

Mandy: I'll fight for the title? Really? Oh my God. 

Mandy está super contente e abraça-se a Otis. 

Otis: I'm sure you'll win, and I will be at ringside to see you becoming the champion. 

  

E voltamos agora ao ringue para o útlimo segmento com Paul Wight como General Manager. 

Theme do Paul Wight 

Paul: For nearly 6 months I did my job as General Manager of Monday Night Raw, and everything may have not been perfect, but I'm damn proud of the last 6 months. And tonight it is my last night, so I only want to say to all of you, thank you. 

A crowd vai para começar a cantar "Thank you" mas são interrompidos, já que se ouve uma voz muito característica a dizer "Hold on, hold on". 

Vic Joseph: It's John Laurinaitis, what is he doing here? 

John junta-se a Paul no ringue. 

John: Paul, 8 years ago I fired you in this ring, from a job that you loved to do. Now you're being fired again, from another job that you love to do. But you don't have to worry about the future of Monday Night Raw, because Big Johnny is here to save the day, and I already sent my application to Shane and I'm sure he'll make me the new Raw General Manager. As for you Paul, all I can say is that I wish you the best on your future endeavours. 

Paul Wight perde a paciência e dá um murro a Laurinaitis, deixando-o estendido no ringue, algo que é muito aplaudido. 

Paul: I already said goodbye to the superstars, the referees, the doctors, the production staff... I just have to say goodbye to all of you, the WWE Universe, to which I belong now. 

A crowd grita "Thank you Big Show! Thank you Big Show! Thank you Big Show! Thank you Big Show! Thank you Big Show! Thank you Big Show! Thank you Big Show!" Os comentadores estão de pé a aplaudir, e o ainda General Manager está até um pouco emocionado, até que... 

LADIES AND GENTLEMAN... 

Paul Heyman aparece, para surpresa de todos, e a sua chegada é recebida com um misto de emoções, enquanto que muitos o apupam por ser um dos responsáveis pela saída de Paul Wight, outros aplaudem porque ele estar aqui pode significar que poderá chegar a acordo para Brock voltar, o que permitiria a Paul manter o seu trabalho. 

Heyman: My name is Paul Heyman, and I am the advocate for the hottest free agent, and the undisputed best in this business, BROOOOOOOCK LESNAR. Mr. GM, I am here to provide you a solution so you can keep your job. Right here, I have a blank paper signed by Brock Lesnar, the only thing missing here is your signature and the conditions on which Brock Lesnar will return to Monday Night Raw and with that save your job. Condition number one, Brock Lesnar fights when he wants, against who he wants. Condition number two, Brock Lesnar wants a big raise, not only he'll get paid 20 million dollars for year, he will also be paid an additional 2 million dollars for each match he has.

Heyman: Brock Lesnar is not an ordinary person, you should've learned that by now. And didn't Shane told you to sign Brock back no matter what? Moving on, condition number three: Brock Lesnar wants a title match, whenever he wants to have it, it doesn't matter if it is in one week or three months. Brock will only come back with a granted title match. 

Paul Wight: I said this before and I'll say it again, I won't just give you and Brock everything without being earned, I rather be fired than doing that. If Brock wants a title match, he will have to at least win a match to become the number one contender. 

Heyman: Listen to me, you will sign this deal because if you don't you'll be betraying the entire WWE universe and you'll be spitting on everything you did for the last six months. If you don't sign this, Shane will have all the power, can you imagine what he's going to do with this show? He will make himself the center of the entire show and that will be on you. When the fans turn off the TV because they can't stand to see Shane for one more minute, that will be on you. Your fault, everyone will blame you. You can avoid that, sign this, give Brock what he wants and you'll keep running this show like you've been doing. 

Paul Wight: I can raise Brock's salary and I can agree that he'll only fight when he wants. But I will not give him the title match if he doesn't earn it. 

Heyman: Alright, let's say Brock fights at Survivor Series, he wins and then he has a title shot whenever he wants. But... Brock chooses his opponent.

Vê por este lado. Há 2 semanas juntou-se o roster todo "contra" a Ronda porque ela não queria defender o título. Agora vai defende-lo mas contra alguém que não "mereceu" a oportunidade. É mais por ai.

Tinhas a Becky por exemplo, é uma história que se escreve sozinha e ninguém ia encarar a Becky como filler para a Ronda. A Mandy é demasiado obvio que vai perder, provavelmente squashada.

Ter o Shane a comandar ou ter o Show que vai fazer tudo (inclusive pôr em causa a segurança do roster) por causa do Shane vai dar à mesma coisa diria eu.

O Shane ia beneficiar quem lhe apetecesse conforme a sua disposição naquele dia, mas o Show acabou de meter o Lesnar num pedestal em relação ao resto do roster só para continuar a ser GM. Não me parece algo que um babyface fosse fazer.

Eu como fã quando vi que o Lesnar o atacou só pensei "é bem feito estupido do crl".

gostei do show. Gostei dos dois segmentos de abertura. O Do Shane a tentar corromper o Edge está demais. 

Fico triste por o Ali e o Bennett se separarem já. Estava ansioso pela peregrinação a Meca. 

Finalmente, algum grupo tem nome! FUSION. I like that.

O segmento final confesso que esperava outra coisa. O Big Show não sai muito reforçado disso. Se calhar essa era a ideia e há uma storyline a surgir por aí. Mas ele passou por um little bitch. (e assim demonstra que o Kurt Angle, no meio das suas patetices todas é o mais habil GM dos três!)

Ah mas o F5 no finzinho foi fixe.

cada vez mais entendo o Vince. As vezes, listen to the audience dá bosta. epá, honestamente, entre ela não defender ou defender contra a Mandy assim do nada, masi valia não defender.

mas a culpa seria na mesma do Shane e não dele. Lá está o Ruas acaba por ter razão, rendeu-se pq quis o trabalho. Na boa, na boa, mas sai fragilizado desta história

Na cabeça do Big Show (e na minha) mais vale ele lá continuar mesmo que seja a pagar uma fortuna ao Lesnar, e conseguir controlar o resto do programa, do que permitir que o Shane entre, provavelmente para também trazer o Lesnar nas mesmas condições e depois ia gerir o resto do programa a seu bel prazer. 

O facto de ter cedido a exigências tão elevadas também me abre outras possibilidades, de pessoal que possivelmente não estará muito contente com isso. Nas próximas semanas haverão mais desenvolvimentos, até porque ninguém acredita que o Shane sai de cena assim né? 

 

Em relação à Ronda vs Mandy, não era o plano. Simplesmente repensei e achei que realmente seria desvalorizar o título e o PPV se não fosse defendido. E o combate vai servir para character building, não vão combater só porque sim numa luta que uma semana depois já ninguém se lembre. 

Tendo decidido que ela tinha mesmo que defender, só sobravam a Mandy e a Shayna, porque todas as outras já tinham sido alocadas a outro combate. Ora para a Shayna não fazia sentido, porque têm estado lado a lado sem qualquer tipo de chatice. Sobra a Mandy, como fazer isto fazer sentido? Pois não foi fácil. Cria-se um angle em que todas dão porrada na Shayna e na Ronda (segmento pelo qual esperava uma vénia do Ilídio, just saying) e cria-se um momento aparentemente botchado em que a Mandy quase parte a cara da Ronda que é uma movie star e tem na cara uma grande fonte de rendimento. Isto serve para a Ronda se querer vingar dela, e como sabe que a superioridade é tão grande, até mete o título em jogo tal é a confiança. 

E também acaba por encaixar noutra história, porque a Mandy foi completamente amassada pela Shayna, depois de ter feito alguns comentários sobre a Ronda. Mas a Mandy não se deixou ficar e voltou para lhes dar na boca, portanto agora a Ronda assume como tarefa sua terminar o serviço. 

Ah, e volto a dizer que a segurança do roster não está assim tão comprometida, pois o acordo é apenas para ataques dentro do ringue (que já os há aos montes e nunca acontece nada a ninguém). Serviu basicamente para este F5 no GM, um pouco à imagem daquele segmento em que o Owens fez o Vince dizer que ele podia bater num McMahon apenas para 20 segundos depois estar a dar uma tareia no velho. 

E convenhamos que é o Brock, aparece de 3 em 3 meses, ninguém vai trabalhar com medo que o Brock lá esteja. E o próprio Brock não é de estar a ver o programa e depois aparecer só para bater em alguém.

Nigel McGuiness - Yes ladies and gentleman, Isaiah "Swerve" Scott versus Lio Rush and that one is next.

O combate começa com bastante velocidade mas sem nenhum dos dois conseguir vantagem sobre o outro. Lio Rush tenta um Hurricanrrana mas Swerve cai de pé, Swerve tenta o mesmo mas Lio Rush imita Swerve e também ele cai de pé. Lio tenta um Dropkick mas Swerve consegue desviar-se e tenta ele um Low Dropkick mas Lio consegue o Kip Up, Swerve faz também ele um Kip Up e os dois ficam cara a cara enquanto Lio Rush aplaude Swerve.
Os dois fazem um teste de força mas Swerve consegue levar a melhor empurrando Lio Rush para o chão. Lio levanta-se rapidamente e acerta com um Dropkick, vai até às cordas mas desta vez é Swerve que acerta com um Dropkick e de seguida com um German Suplex fazendo a ponte para o cover mas Lio Rush safa-se na contagem de 2. Swerve vai dominando o combate mas Lio Rush vai-se conseguido safar-se das submissões devido à sua velocidade e consegue chegar sempre às cordas. Num desses momentos Swerve empurra Lio para o canto até o arbitro os tentar separar mas enquanto o arbitro tenta tirar Swerve do canto Lio consegue acertar com um Superkick no joelho de Swerve e de seguida com um DDT. 1 2.. Swerve consegue safar-se. Lio Rush parece um tubarão que viu sangue e não larga Swerve tentando mate-lo no chão o máximo de tempo possível com várias submissões. Mas a força de Swerve acaba por vir ao de cima e este tenta mais um German Suplex mas Lio Rush cai de pé e acerta ele com um German Suplex. Swerve vai-se levantando e Lio Rush consegue acertar com o Bottom Rope Stunner mas Swerve reage imediatamente e enquanto Lio Rush está sentado acerta com o Last Shot!! 1 2 3! Isaiah "Swerve" Scott vence Lio Rush e mantem o seu NXT Cruiserweight Championship!

No final do combate Swerve ajuda Lio Rush a levantar-se e os dois apertam as mãos em sinal de respeito. Lio Rush acaba por ficar de joelhos agarrada à cabeça e Swerve tenta ver se está tudo bem com ele até que Lio Rush acerta em Swerve com um Low Blow!
Lio Rush levanta-se rapidamente e sorri para o público enquanto se vai embora do ringue.

Vamos até ao backstage onde vemos Fandango e Tyler Breeze a terem uma conversa.

 

Tyler Breeze - Dango, sorry for last week man, it was my fault that we didn't won that match, i'm sorry..
Fandango - What? No no no Tyler, what are you talking about? We are a team, we win and lose as a team. It was nobody's fault.
Tyler Breeze - No Dango! It was my fault ok? Two weeks ago i couldn't beat Lio Rush, last week i was responsible for our lost, i'm dragging you down with me and i can't have that. You're too talented to be in a tag team with a guy like me.
Fandango - That's nonsense man. Tag team or no, we are friends and i'm here for you.
Tyler Breeze - We are not in this bussiness to make friends Dango, we are here to win titles and leave our mark. That's why i talked to Mr.Regal and he booked a match for me tonight against Cameron Grimes. I'm bringing the real Tyler Breeze back.

De repente aparece Bianca Belair e começa a atacar Io Shirai e Tegan Nox até as duas fugirem do ringue e ficarem no stage em frente ao titantron.

Bianca Belair - Guuuurl, hold, on, a, second. Why are you running now? Aren't you a team? Can't both of you handle one of me? Hun?
Tegan Nox - What do you want Bianca? You lost your title shot, just move on and leave us alone.
Bianca Belair - See Tegan i ain't worried about that title right now. I lost my title shot sure, now Tessa will get her opportunity and i'll settle that with her. I just want my revenge for what you two have done to me.
Tegan Nox - Revenge? Are you stupid Bianca? You really gonna come out here and try to fight both of us?
Bianca Belair - Gurl i don't need no help. What are you talking about? Who do you think i am? I'm Bianca Belair, i'm the EST of NXT. And by the way, who told you i was alone?

Mercedes Martinez aparece por trás de Io Shirai e Tegan Nox e começa a ataca-las. Io e Tegan tentam fugir mas Bianca vai ajudar Mercedes e as duas metem Io e Tegan dentro do ringue até aparecer William Regal no titantron. O GM não quer que as coisas se resolvam assim e marca um tag team entre as 4.

O combate começa com Bianca Belair e Io Shirai. Io tenta um Dropkick mas falha e Bianca tenta imediatamente agarrar nela para um Suplex mas Io Shirai consegue fugir e faz rapidamente o tag com Tegan Nox.
Bianca vai dominando Tegan Nox com vários socos, um Dropkick e um Standing Moonsault. Tags frequentes entre Bianca e Mercedes e as duas vão dominando o combate sem que Tegan Nox consiga sequer ripostar. Io Shirai na apron não parece muito preocupada, não grita palavras de incentivo para Tegan nem lhe estende a mão para tentar o tag. Bianca Belair farta-se disto e atira Tegan Nox para o seu canto enquanto desafia Io Shirai a entrar no combate. Io rejeita e desce da apron, vai até debaixo do ringue e encontra uma cadeira. O arbitro avisa Io Shirai que ela não pode usar a cadeira senão vai ser desqualificada e Io acaba por largar a cadeira. Bianca continua a desafia-la para entrar no ringue e nas suas costas é Tegan Nox que acerta com uma cadeira nas pernas de Mercedes Martinez.
Bianca apercebe-se disto e vira as atenções para Tegan Nox mas Io Shirai volta a pegar na sua cadeira e desafia Bianca Belair a ir atrás dela.
De repente aparece Tessa Blanchard e tira a cadeira à Io Shirai. As duas ficam a discutir e o arbitro sai do ringue para acalmar a situação. Bianca fica dentro do ringue a perguntar a Tessa o que que ela está ali a fazer e por trás aparece Tegan Nox de novo com a cadeira e acerta nas costas de Bianca Belair. Tegan livra-se rapidamente da cadeira e acerta com o Shiniest Wizard em Bianca Belair!! Tegan grita para o arbitro voltar ao ringue. 1 2.. 3! Tegan Nox vence a antiga Womens Champion!!

A camera corta para o backstage onde vemos Bianca Belair a caminhar pelos corredores até entrar no balneário feminino onde encontra Tessa Blanchard.

Bianca Belair - Hey Tessa, stop putting yourself into my bussiness ok gurl?
Tessa Blanchard - Look Bianca i was just trying to help..
Bianca Belair - Help? Did i ask you to help me? Did Mercedes ask for help? Just do you and stay out of my way ok?

Bianca não gosta que Tessa a esteja a "desafiar" e ataca-a com um soco. As duas começam a lutar até a restante divisão feminina as conseguir separar e tirar Bianca do balneário.

À imagem do que aconteceu na semana passada contra Lio Rush Tyler Breeze volta a entrar no combate bastante agressivo não dando tempo a Cameron Grimes de sequer tirar o chapéu da cabeça. Breeze ataca com vários socos enquanto Cameron Grimes está encostado ao canto. O arbitro vai contando até 5 para Breeze largar Grimes mas tem que ser o arbitro a remover Tyler Breeze dali e a dizer-lhe para ele ter calma se não será desqualificado do combate. Breeze afasta-se de Cameron Grimes mas Grimes vai a correr na sua direção e acerta com o Cave In! 1 2 3! Tyler Breeze volta a perder um combate no NXT e desta vez por culpa própria, deixou que as suas emoções falassem mais alto e Cameron Grimes consegui aproveitar-se disso.

Breeze está sentado no meio do ringue até que aparece Fandango que o ajuda a levantar mas quando Breeze está de pé empurra Fandango e abandona o ringue sozinho.

Keith Lee vem até ao ringue e agarra num microfone mas antes que diga alguma coisa aparece Finn Balor no titantron.

Finn Balor - Keith Keith, look, i know what you are going to say. You want Mia Yim back right? But you don't need to worry, she's right here see?

Vê-se Mia Yim amarrada a uma cadeira.

Keith Lee - Finn i'm sick of your games, give me Mia Yim back right now!

Inicio forte de Riddle que ataca Kross com vários Forearms mas sem grande efeito já que Kross nem se mexe. Kross tenta um Belly to Belly mas Riddle consegue cair de pé e acerta com um Ezeguri e de seguida com um Knee Strike na parte de trás da cabeça de Kross. Tenta o cover mas Kross safa-se na contagem de 1! No entanto Riddle já estava à espera desta reação e não se deixa ir abaixo continuando na ofensiva.

Repara, nem o combate contra o Ciampa foi um squash, não seria contra o RIddle que ia seria.

Acho que os squash's enterram imediatamente o outro gajo seja contra quem for. Aqui o Riddle conseguiu a sua ofensiva praticamente toda, os big moves e tudo mais, só que o Kross é mais forte do que isso.

Assim não enterro o Riddle que fez tudo o que podia e ainda meto o Kross mais over porque conseguiu aguentar tudo e ganhou na mesma.

Paige – Unofficial….why? Because you say so, Michael?

M. Cole – Well actually, because the WWE Board says so. Still in unofficial titles, Seth Rollins has put his World Heavyweight Championship on the line against CM Punk.

Paige – Those two must be mad…battling over a title that doesn’t exist! Utter madness.

M. Cole – But Paige...what about John Cena and his unofficial title?

Paige (doesn’t respond to that) - Well, over on the women’s side, Sasha Banks says she doesn’t recognize Rhea Ripley as the number one contender so she won’t defend her title on Unforgiven, but the LLC will defend the tag titles against Jessamyne Duke and Marina Shafir.

M. Cole – And we’re gonna find out who will face Xavier Woods for the US Championship, if former Champion Murphy, if The Show-Off, Dolph Ziggler.

Paige – And we start right now with Thicc Momma Pomp as she is going, for sure, trash some poor sod.

Jordynne Grace vs Maryse w/ Lana

Rhea who, of course, has been shunned by Champion Sasha Banks as number one contender, Paige what do you think about this?

Paige – As strange as that may come off, I’m with Sasha on this. Who in the seven hells is Rhina Ropeley or whatever the heck she calls herself, to come here to SmackDown and say “Look at me, I’m the number one contender”??

M. Cole – Paige, she won that right at STOMPING GROUNDS. Plus, she’s a former NXT UK and NXT Champion.

Paige – So what? She has to prove her mettle here. Next thing you know, we bring out some chick from NXT and give her a title shot on the first night, no?

M. Cole – Paige…that exact thing happened…

Paige – Shut up Cole, observe the stare Jordynne and Rhea just traded on the rampway.

Paige is right. Jordynne is retreating to the ring after her win, just as Rhea is entering and the pair look at each other like they’d slaughter one another if given the chance. But no further interaction occurs

Rhea Ripley vs Sonya Deville

Sonya grabs an early dominance of the match applying some grappling holds that keep Ripley down. She then applies a Triangle Armbar. For a long time. Rhea is in trouble, she tries to get to a rope but Sonya, masterfully, keeps her at bay at every time. Eventually Rhea Ripley hulks up and deadlifts Sonya up, and applies the Riptide. Cover, 1, 2, 3. A win out of nowhere for Rhea Ripley with one move. Excellent display.

As the match ends, Rhea picks up the mic:

Lord Barrett – Last week, your ruling class was viciously attacked by a classless act, calling themselves the Overweights or some disparaging nonsense like that.  It was a highly unprovoked attack, an attack to His Majesty, a most severe crime, that should be aptly punished. As Chancellor of the Exchequer I gave counsel to His Majesty, King Corbin, and we have come to adept response to the challenge the Overweights threw. See I am retired from wrestling, I haven’t got a wrestling license, not anymore, and therefore I’m unable to step into that mat, legally. And it seems to us that if the Commonwealth of Nations is to compete with a man down, the Overweights should as well. So the condition for us to accept such a peevish challenge is that you, Goldberg, you who a few months back said were stepping off the ring and transitioning more into a mentorship role, to keep truth to your word and don’t fight in this one. I’m out, you’re out, this happens. What say you?

Goldberg’s tune plays. He enters.

Goldberg – Yes.

Lord Barrett – Ladies and gentlemen, as you may denote the lack of culture is apparent. This baboon can’t even utter two words.

The Viking Raiders’ theme plays, they enter. After a while Land of Hope and Glory plays, the UKIP enter. This match is official.

Ivar and Count Gallagher start the match with the brit gaining the upper hand early on with fast moves that the norse big man can’t cope with. Gallagher hits with several European Uppercuts, which they call “Brexit Uppercuts” that stagger the big man. He goes on the ropes and delivers a couple of roadrunners. He tags Duke Maverick in, and he hits a shinning enzuigiri. He goes for the ropes to apply the flying elbow he calls U-Kip-trying, but Erik enters and pulls his partner. Erik is tagged in and delivers 2 clotheslines to Maverick. He covers, 1, 2, Gallagher makes a run in.

Ivar enters and gets in and gets Gallagher out and drives him towards the steel steps, but the Count counters and drives Ivar to the steel steps instead. From this point forward the UKIP get the upper hand, they are two on one against Erik, so they tag frequently. Gallagher headbutts Erik, once, no effect, twice, Erik still stands, Gallagher hits it another time, but it’s Gallagher who gets dizzier. Erik’s thick viking skull withstood the headbutts and he’s livid. He grabs Gallagher, but Drake enters and drop toes him, so Erik falls. The referee is kicking Duke Maverick off the ring and Gallagher rakes Erik’s eyes, behind the referee’s back. The Count hits with a Bodyscissors takedown, he tags Maverick in who climbs the ringpole flies his “U-Kip-trying” elbow, connects, cover, 1, 2, 3. A stunning win for the UKIP and the Commonwealth of Nations.

M. Cole – At Unforgiven the SmackDown tag team championships will be defended against Miz & Morrison, the self-proclaimed “Best Tag team of the 21^st Century”. Last week we had the match between champion Bo Mulligan and challenger John Morrison, which The Friday Night Delight won. This week we get the obverse of that coin as Bray Wyatt clashes with the Miz, and it happens right now.

Paige – You know me, Michael, I don’t really care about looks but, Bray Wyatt is just a fat slob, you know, like the ones you get to see in the rural areas of America, like, I don’t know, Utah or some crappy place like that.

M. Cole – Paige…we are in Utah…

Bray Wyatt vs The Miz

Bray Wyatt starts the match with a couple of bear hugs, starting to wear Miz out. After a couple of minutes of grappling, the Miz gets free, goes on the ropes, gets momentum, hits with a Busaiku Knee Kick. He covers, but Wyatt kicks out at one. The Miz goes on the ringpole and goes for an Awesome Clothesline, but is caught midair by Bray Wyatt, who in one single motion scoop slams him. Cover, 1, 2, The Miz gets a foot under the ropes.

The Miz escapes the ring and gets his act together. Bray grabs him by the throat, yanks him to the ring and slams him hard on the ring. He picks him up, kisses his forehead, this is it! However, the Miz escapes, he positions himself behind his opponent, lays his hands around his waist striving for a German Suplex, but Wyatt resists. He elbows the Miz repeatedly, half a dozen times, the Miz is buzzed, Wyatt turns around, grabs him, One Arm Slam. The Miz is out of this. Wyatt picks him up, kisses his forehead, Sister Abigail. Cover, 1, 2, 3.

Sasha Banks is parading around the back when she suddenly encounters Corey Graves and Alexa Bliss.

Anyway, what I’m approaching you for, since you don’t acknowledge Rhea Ripley as the number one contender – and rightly so – I thought about applying for that position with GM Kurt Angle, for us to have a title match at Unforgiven.

Sasha (taken aback) – Huh, huh, I’m I supposed to trust this gleeful mood, Alexa?

Alexa - Hey, no need for that mistrust Champ. Listen I understand your reasoning as to what concerns Rhea Ripley, Sasha, I really do. But I’m a former 2-time SmackDown Women’s Champion, I don’t have the handicap in lack of resumé that Rhea has, you wouldn’t be cheapened by fighting someone like me instead of a nobody like Rhea.

Sasha – Well…I have to admit, that if anyone in this whole division can hope to one day be at a level somewhat close to mine is you, so perhaps it would make sense for …

Before she can finish the sentence, a golf club appears out of nowhere, cracking at Alexa and Corey. It’s Nikki Cross, with the now famous eyepatch. She’s livid, whacking at Alexa and Corey repeatedly “Oh noe ye don’t. At Onforgiven thie anly match ye’ll hav is against mie, ye harlot”, another strike, and another, yet another, merciless she yanks the golf club. She turns to Sasha “Goe awê if ye don’t wont some far yerself”. Sasha leaves and Nikki keeps clubbing Corey and Alexa until security comes and ends the assault.

M. Cole – Last week we saw the first of Johnny Wrestling after his gruesome match at SummerSlam against Murphy, as he tagged with Eric Young to capture a win against the male component of the Brazilian Bruisers. This week the duo teams up again, now to battle the Colons.

Paige – Again, I translate to you: a great wrestler – if you only count outlaw indie wrestling – teams up against a lunatic looser to battle a couple of chronic loosers from Puerto Rico, in a match that’s sure to grasp the viewers’ attention…

M. Cole – Paige… why do you have to always bang on our product? Someday you’ll find yourself out of a job with all those negative remarks.

Paige – Michael you can be damn sure of this: I’ll outlast you in the WWE.

The Colons vs Johnny Gargano & Eric Young

Epico and Eric start the match. They trade chops and strikes, then Eric Young picks Epico up and delivers an Atomic Drop. Primo barges in to prevent the cover. Eric Young dropkicks him to the outside and Gargano flies across the ring and scores a Suicide dive on Primo. But Epico is up and applies the backstabber to Eric Young, he covers, 1, 2, Gargano with the save.

Suddenly…

We see Curtis Axel, Akam and Rezar strutting down the rampway. Seth is on Gorilla position signaling someone to hurry up and join them. A camera gets closer and we get the full picture. Seth is trying to convince Murphy to come along with them, but Murphy is refusing, saying “I have the final next! It’s very important to me and the Liturgy. I have to concentrate”. Seth tries to downplay the negation, but we can see he didn’t like this. Anyway, the Liturgy – minus Murphy – is here. What could they want?

Seth – Johnny. Johnny boy. Johnny TakeOver. Johnny Wrestling. You and I aren’t friends. But you seem to be a friend to CM Punk. Heck he came back from retirement - from a retirement he said time and time again he wouldn’t ever come from – for you. So you must be special to him. Don’t deny it John. The Messiah in his wisdom has seen it. And since I am looking forward to hurt things CM Punk cares about, Johnny, I hope you understand why we have to do this.

Immediately Seth’s goons enter the ring and start to beat up Gargano. The referee is trying to get a hold of the situation, but no can do, he ends up calling for the bell and declares a no contest. But the match is now a by-gone situation, the Liturgy is pounding Gargano with no excuse. Eric Young, naturally defends his partner, to no avail, it’s 4 on 2. All the while Seth Rollins yells out to the wind “Huh, Punk! Do you like this?” and “Punk, you coward, where are you?” The Colons are in utter confusion and start to retreat. But..

Out comes their manager, Carlito, who intercepts them and orders them to go and help out Young and Gargano. “This is not cool”, he tells them. They do so and now we have a 4 on 4 going on in the ring, so things tie up. Then Carlito joins the rest and the Liturgy start to lose the brawl. Seth yells “Murphy!? Murphy?! Where are you???”. Seeing the situation is lost he orders his disciples to sacrifice themselves in order to cover is retreat. They comply to the best of their abilities and Seth escapes, just as security comes to end the brawl. By the end The Colons, Gargano and Young, shakes hands, hug it out and lift each other’s arm in victory. Seth is livid at the entrance, and menaces “This doesn’t end like this! Next week it’s the Liturgy against you ragtag gang!”

Backstage, we get to see the extended New Day, the New-R Day, having a laugh while Cedric lifts some weights. Xavier calls Kofi apart:

Xavier – Kof’, man I wanted to talk to you. First, I just need to really make sure you’re ok with this temporary expansion of the New Day.

Kofi – Me? Man, it’s all good. Me and Ron go way back. Waaaaay back. He may be little goofy sometimes, but hey, aren’t we? And Cedric? I’m proud to have Cedric with us, ya now, a great talent I see a lot of us three in him, and if we can give a young wrestler a nod up in his ascension then that’s our duty as more experienced members of the SmackDown roster. I’m thrilled to have them.

Xavier – Cool, man. I talked to you on the phone about I, but in person we can get a better feel on what’s going on in a person’s mind. The second thing is…Now that you’re back, and apt to wrestle again I was thinking to relinquish the US title, so that us two can focus on chasing the tag titles.

Kofi – You will do no such thing Xav’!! Listen I had my WWE title run, and you guys got my back. We had Biggie’s back when he strived for the Universal title, why shouldn’t you have you shot at a singles title? Man, you earned it, you won, you’re reigning, you keep it going, I got your back – we all do – and we have to time to go after the tag titles later on. Just worry about kicking the but of whomever wins the final tonight! (They embrace)

Kurt Angles takes the stage. The traditional “You suck!” chants are heard, but lacking the vice. He has announcements to make.

K. Angle – Now let’s restore some order to SmackDown. First off, I like Seth’s idea, so next week, 4 members of The Liturgy are facing Primo, Epico, Johnny and Eric Young in an 8-men tag team. (The crowd doesn’t react with that much of an enthusiasm, which saddens the GM). Huh..well, ok. And for Unforgiven, the card is tight, but I reckon I can create room to book one more match. Paige’s comments about Scotland, however rude, have given me an idea, though. Alexa Bliss vs Nikki Cross: the Revenge of Miss Cross – Scotch Barrel match. The premise is simple: it ends when a contestant puts the other inside a legit Scotch Whiskey 500-gallon Barrel and seals the lid. (The crowd are surprised by the concept, but they cheer)

M. Cole – Ladies and Gentlemen, our main event is upon us. Dolph Ziggler and Murphy will compete to see who will face Xavier Woods in Unforgiven, for the United States Championship.

Paige – Yeah, Dolph Ziggler beat Mojo Macabre in the first round and Murphy beat Earl Roode. Now, in this final, everything goes. One of these men is going to Unforgiven.

M. Cole – And of course a lot of history between Murphy and Xavier Woods, I’m sure former US champ, the Disciple is looking forward to book is ticket.

Paige – So much so, that he didn’t comply with the orders by the Messiah and no showed the invasion the Liturgy planned for the previous match…

Current United States Champion, Xavier Woods enters, a huge pop is heard. He seats on the commentary table, surely interested in the outcome of this match. Murphy comes out alone. The Liturgy are surely still aching from before. Dolph Ziggler enters accompanied by Titus the Titan and Universal Champion Bobby Lashley. Once the Show-Off is safely delivered to the ring, Bobby Lashley pull up a seat on the commentary table as well.

Murphy and Ziggler size each other up. The they lock up. Murphy gets Ziggler to the mat and applies a crossface. Ziggler breaks the hold and applies a crossface of his own. The repeat this sequence for a while, they’re too evenly match. Then, Murphy goes on the ropes, picks up steam and hits a running knee. He goes for the move again, but this time, Ziggler applies a swinging neckbreaker midair. Being the Show-Off he is, he boasts instead of going for the kill. Murphy rolls up, 1 ,2 Ziggler kicks out, gets up, but is met by a clothesline. Murphy sets up the Murphy’s Law, but Titus enters the ring. Murphy confronts him and Ziggler delivers a ZigZag from the back. Cover, 1, 2, Murphy miraculously kicks out.

Ziggler, Titus and Lashley are baffled by it. Lashley gets up and goes on the ringside to direct operations more closely. Ziggler gets Murphy in the corner and beats him up. While the referee is admonishing Lashley, Titus helps Ziggler out. Ziggler then goes for a flying clothesline, but Murphy ducks and Ziggler crashes with a bang. Titus enters the ring, but is caught by the referee who has had enough and kicks both Lashley and Titus out of the ring area. They protest but comply, and Ziggler is confused. Meanwhile Murphy seizes his chance and goes for a Diving Meteora on Ziggler, then applies the Murphy’s Law. Cover, 1, 2, 3. Murphy is going to Unforgiven to fight for the US Title once again. On commentary table, Xavier gets up and applauds this performance. But soon he to the apron and hoist the belt and they get face to face with tension as the show ends
