Jason Kidd wants out of New Jersey, and Nets personnel boss Rod Thorn is more than willing to aid in any transaction that eases Kidd out of a Net uniform. The other day, Kidd's agent Jeff Schwartz told Thorn of Kidd's demand to be traded, and yesterday Kidd followed up on the demand in a meeting with Thorn.

 

You might not believe it, but we have the transcript in hand.

 

Jason Kidd: Jeff told you, huh?

 

Rod Thorn: Yes sir.

 

Kidd: Preferably, I'd like to go to the Lakers, Yankees, Mavericks, Heat, or Celtics.

 

Thorn: Yankees?

 

Kidd: Or Red Sox.

 

Thorn: The baseball-Boston Red Sox?

 

Kidd: I don't want Jason Collins to be traded with me. Dude steals my triple-doubles.

 

Thorn: What does that mean?

 

Kidd: A triple-double is when you get double-figures in points, rebounds, and assists.

eu sou da opiniao do laercio... mas uma coisa ? nos nao querermos trocar o jogador e ele sentir-se bem.. outra ? nao querermos e ainda por cima ele estar mal na equipa...

eu para mim era kidd para os boston... andam a procura de pg e com ele seriam campeoes.. e acho que nos podiam fazer um bom pacote... escolhas do draft ? que nada... porque se forem campeoes essas escolhas :vom:

Os Celtics nao podem pagar o salario do Kidd, Garnett 23M, Pierce 16M e Allen 16M. Se o Kidd fosse pra la eram mais 19M pra juntar a festa, logo 74M. E` impensavel uma equipa da NBA manter 4 jogadores a receber 74M.

 

A trasferencia do Kidd e` uma questao muito delicada. E` quase impossivel os Nets e a "outra equipa" ficarem ambas satisfeitas com a trade.

Rookie of the Year: Kevin Durant, Sonics
When the Blazers' Greg Oden got injured in the offseason, this award became Durant?s to win or lose. Although his game still needs some work, there is no denying his ability to put the ball in the basket. If he doesn?t keep improving, don?t be surprised if Atlanta?s Al Horford steals the award away from him.

Coach of the Year: Nate McMillan, Blazers
The Hornets have the second best overall record in the league, so of course Byron Scott deserves some love in this space, but the choice is McMillan who in my eyes has done more with less. Remember, the Blazers are the youngest team in the league.

Sixth Man Award: Manu Ginobili, Spurs
Ginobili has been so good this season that earlier in the year he was considered an MVP candidate. He is averaging 19.2 points, 4.8 rebounds and 4.2 assists per game for the defending champs.

Defensive Player of the Year: Marcus Camby, Nuggets
He is averaging one steal, 14.2 rebounds and a league-best 3.8 blocks per game. It will be a shame if he doesn't make the All-Star team.

Most Improved Player: Chris Kaman, Clippers
This is an easy choice. Kaman is averaging a career high in blocks (3.03), points (17.2) and rebounds (13.9) per game, easing some of the loss the Clippers have felt by not having Elton Brand in the lineup all season. The second choice for this award is Dwight Howard.
