"On October 26, 2009, it was announced that Lesnar had pulled out of the UFC 106 card in which he was set to face Shane Carwin for the UFC Heavyweight Championship due to an illness. UFC President Dana White said that Brock had been ill for three weeks and claimed he had never been this sick in his life and that it would take him a while to recover, his fight with Carwin was rescheduled for UFC 108 in early 2010.

On November 4, it was confirmed that Lesnar was suffering from mononucleosis and that his bout with Carwin would have to wait a bit longer, thus the fight for UFC 108 was cancelled. On November 14 at the UFC 105 post-fight conference, Dana stated, "He's not well and he's not going to be getting well anytime soon." and that an interim title match might need to be set up. In addition to mononucleosis, it was revealed that Lesnar was suffering from a serious case of diverticulitis, an intestinal disorder, which would require surgery.

After further diagnosis, on November 16 Lesnar underwent surgery to close a perforation in his intestine that had been leaking fecal matter into his abdomen, causing pain, abscesses, and overtaxing his immune system to the point that he contracted mononucleosis. From the level of damage to Lesnar's system, the surgeon estimated that the intestinal condition had been ongoing for around a year.

Lesnar is now expected to be out of action for all of 2010."

Bem,isto está mau para o lado dele.Mas mesmo muito mau.Por outro lado,se estivesse em condições,ia enfrentar gajos como Velasquez e Mir,e isso iam ser combates épicos.

Highlights of how the spring and early summer are shaping up:

March 27: UFC welterweight champion Georges St. Pierre (No. 2) returns to action after eight-and-a-half months from a torn abductor muscle to face Dan Hardy in the main event of the show in Newark, N.J., that includes the Mir vs. Carwin fight.

April 10: UFC lightweight champion B.J. Penn (No. 4), the only UFC champion who remained healthy during the second half of 2009, defends his title against Frankie Edgar. The front-runner location for this card is Abu Dhabi, but backup locations including Dublin and Manchester and Newcastle, England, are in discussion if the Abu Dhabi deal isn’t finalized. Middleweight champion Anderson Silva (No. 1) may also return from surgery to remove bone chips in his elbow to face Vitor Belfort. The latter fight is not official for April 10 but has been the date under discussion.

May 1: Lyoto Machida (No. 5) and Mauricio “Shogun” Rua (No. 7) have a rematch in Montreal after the most disputed decision of 2009, when Machida retained his UFC light heavyweight title on Oct. 24 in Los Angeles. The six months break between fights happened because Machida had surgery on his left hand. The show also features a grudge match coming off Season 10 of “The Ultimate Fighter,” with former light heavyweight champions Quinton “Rampage” Jackson vs. Rashad Evans.

Tommy Oliver Aka Jason David Frank

Mixed martial arts

Frank also has an interest in mixed martial arts. He was scheduled to fight against Ron 'The Badger' McMasters on June 23, 2007, at the Williamson County Pavilion in Marion, Illinois.[4] However, Frank opted out of the fight since he did not appreciate the event getting changed from an MMA fight to an exhibition boxing match because his opponent was trained only in boxing, and because he felt that an exhibition match where both fighters are declared winners was "meaningless".[5]

On August 21, 2009, Frank announced his signing with SuckerPunch Entertainment,[6][7][8] a sports marketing and management company specializing in MMA. He is currently training with UFC lightweight Melvin Guillard. Jason David Frank made his much anticipated MMA debut versus Jonathon "the Mack Truck" Mack January 30 at the Houston Arena Theatre at Lonestar Beatdown. He defeated Mack in the first round by omoplata submission.[9][10][11][12] Frank is scheduled to face Chris Rose at Lonestar Beatdown: Dallas on February 19 in Dallas,Texas.[13

Ex-Power Ranger Wants to Fight Van Damme

Jean-Claude Van Damme -- the most badass fighting sensation of the 90s -- just got challenged to an MMA fight by a guy who used to fight puppets in spandex ... all over an incident from 15 years ago.

The guy issuing the challenge is former White Ranger Jason David Frank, who tells TMZ, he's had it out for Van Damme ever since 1995 when the Muscles from Brussels -- who had been Frank's childhood hero -- allegedly blew him off during the premiere of "Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: The Movie."

As TMZ previously reported, Frank is now a scary-looking MMA fighter who has a fight next weekend in the Octagon -- and Van Damme is reportedly looking to make his own pro fighting debut ... so the timing couldn't be better for Frank to settle the score.

Frank claims he'll take Van Damme "anytime, anyplace, anywhere" -- and "if [Van Damme's] too scared to come into the Octagon, I'll even take him on in a kickboxing match."

So far, no comment from Van Damme's camp.
