Former WWE Star Shawn Daivari says he used a REAR NAKED CHOKE HOLD to save a train full of people last week ... after an unruly passenger allegedly threatened to kill them.

 

TMZ spoke to Daivari ... who says the incident went down last Thursday on an airport bound train from Minneapolis. The WWE star says an uncontrollable passenger in his car became violent ... shouted racial slurs and threatened to kill his fellow passengers.

 

Daivari says multiple people pressed the emergency button to call for help -- but NOTHING happened.

 

The pro-wrestler then took matters into his own hands telling TMZ, "I wasn't going to wait any longer to see if a cop showed up." Daivari says he threw the guy down, slapped on a rear naked choke hold on him and then threw his ass out at the next stop.

 

One witness, who was on the train when it all went down, tells us Daivari choked out the passenger so hard ... he peed his pants.

 

A rep for the Metro Transit Rail tells TMZ ... "Metro Transit police responded after being alerted by the train operator to a fight on board. The investigation is ongoing."

Ring of Heyman?

Last week I made the suggestion that Ring of Honor bosses should be thinking about getting a new booking team in place. The combination of Jim Cornette and Hunter Johnston have had two years to advance the company and create new stars. They’ve done some good work but not enough. Somebody new deserves a crack.

 

How about Paul Heyman?

 

While this may seem a farfetched suggestion at first it’s actually not unimaginable. Heyman has come close to agreeing to a deal with TNA in the past. He stated at the time that he would want shares in the company and sufficient creative freedom. TNA couldn’t or didn’t want to agree to those terms and so nothing happened. That he was willing to negotiate indicates that Heyman still has interest in booking under the right circumstances.

 

Until he returned to WWE a few months ago (in a strictly on-air role) there han’t been much talk about Heyman being involved in wrestling on a creative level since the failed TNA deal. That changed on Friday, August 17 when Heyman appeared on Mark Madden’s radio show. He stated that while he has no immediate plans to get back into wrestling he would consider running a wrestling company again if he had the financial backing and freedom to do as he liked content-wise.

 

The former ECW boss would bring a great deal to Ring of Honor. Not only does he have name value in his own right, he is an experienced booker who knows how to write for a company tight on cash. Anyone who has listened to or read any interviews with him in the last five years will also know that he is aware that the wrestling business needs to progress and change periodically if it is to remain relevant.

 

That’s something Jim Cornette seems to have difficulty grasping, or at least putting into action. Heyman is very much about building for the future and altering the presentation of wrestling in order to compete with new threats such as UFC.

 

Ring of Honor was on the right path for many years, but recently it has adopted an approach closer to the sports entertainment model: house shows becoming less important, title switches being saved for (internet) pay-per-view, increasingly focusing on TV storylines, and so on.

 

Heyman would provide a fresh perspective, which would bring with it new storylines, new characters and a new direction. He would be invaluable with regards to developing characters and has experience writing for wrestling television from his time running ECW and scripting SmackDown. A working agreement with him would also attract new and lapsed viewers keen to see what one of the most lauded wrestling writers in history would produce with the Ring of Honor roster at his disposal.

 

ROH should approach Heyman to gauge his interest in replacing old rival Jim Cornette. Even if he agreed to work in a part time consultancy role it would be of enormous benefit to the company. The prospect of Paul Heyman working alongside the likes of Kevin Steen and Davey Richards is immensely tantalising. ROH should actively pursue the guy before someone else gets there first.

There has been talk of doing Ryback vs. The Undertaker at WrestleMania 29 with a Streak vs. Streak build. We've noted before that the CM Punk and Ryback interactions are just teasers. Apparently they're not looking to do anything solid between Punk and Ryback until November or December.

 

Speaking of The Undertaker, with recent WrestleMania discussions happening, there are some people speculating that Taker may not even perform at WrestleMania 29, meaning last year may have been his last WrestleMania match. While nothing is 100% yet, the feeling among most is that he will return.

With WrestleMania 29 discussions happening within WWE, there is now talk of doing Randy Orton vs. Sheamus for the World Heavyweight Title next year.

 

Officials are actually trying harder than usual to keep WrestleMania plans for BROCK LESNAR, The Rock, John Cena, CM Punk, Triple H and The Undertaker quiet because the idea is they will build the Royal Rumble up into a big show where a lot of different angles will begin or at least everything will fall into place then.

 

As noted, Rey Mysterio vs. Sin Cara is a likely match. We also noted that Ryback vs. The Undertaker has been discussed a Streak vs. Streak build. Apparently this is a Vince McMahon idea. Other possible opponents for The Undertaker include BROCK LESNAR and Triple H. This is unlikely but Punk vs. Taker was at least suggested internally.

Não gosto da gimmick Boris Alexiev, mas acho que deviam deixar o Santino fazer o que sabe. Este homem podia fazer combates magníficos com o punk e o bryan, só precisam de o deixar.

Pensei que o teu "Atão :mrgreen:" quando quotaste o post do What tivesse sido por não te lembrares que já seria a 4ª vez que o HHH e Taker lutavam na WM e te tivesses esquecido do combate deles na WM X-7, my bad. :lol:

 

Btw, já alguém viu o WWE Main Event, que estreou ontem? Achei aquilo um bocado chato, só 2 combates no show todo. :|

 

E não gostei do resultado do tag-team match, no combate viu-se claramente qual era a verdadeira tag-team ali, e vão dar a vitória ao Santino e Ryder. :lol:
