Nigel McGuiness - Good evening everyone and yes Mauro, what a show we have for everybody at home tonight. The Tag Team Gautlet to determin the new nº1 contenders to the NXT Tag Team titles and Roderick Strong versus Velveteen Dream at our main event. But we start with the queen Mauro! WOO!

Combate rápido e fácil para Charlotte Flair. Mia Yim consegue alguma ofensiva inicial mas rapidamente perde o controlo do combate devido à experiênc    ia da campeã. Mal o arbitro dá inicio ao combate Priest começa ao ataque apanhando Reed de surpresa. Isto dá-lhe vantagem inicial e Damian Priest consegue controlar Broson Reed durante vários minutos até que a força de Reed vem ao de cima. Várias tentativas de pinfall mas Priest vai-se safando.
Damian Priest sai do ringue para acalmar a ofensiva de Broson Reed mas nas suas costas aparece Dominik Dijakovic que o ataca com uma cadeira. O arbitro vê e acaba o combate por DQ. Damian Priest sai a correr pela bancada para fugir de Dijakovic.

Mauro Ranallo - Well Nigel, it looks like Dijakovic won't rest until he gets is revenge on Damien Priest.
Nigel McGuiness - That's true Mauro, but i don't think our GM William Regal is gonna like that. Switching gears now it's time for the Tag Team Gautlet to..
Aparece Finn Balor no ecrã.

Finn Balor - Hey Johny, i heard what you said earlier tonight. You say you coming for the prince? Well my friend, be my guest. I've already exposed you remmember? Tag Team Gautlet

Bobby Fish & Kyle O'Reilly vs Ever-Rise
Este gautlet começa com a UE contra os Ever-Rise. Combate sem muita história que acaba rapidamente depois da UE executar o Chasing the Dragon.

A próxima equipa a entrar no gautlet são Fandango e Tyler Breeze. Sobe a dificuldade para a UE. Combate dominado na maior parte pela UE até que Breezango conseguem fazer o comeback. A certa altura Tyler Breeze acerta com o Beauty Shot em Bobby Fish, segue-se um Leg Drop de Fandango, 1 2.. mas Kyle O'Reilly consegue quebrar o pinfall. Fandango não consegue acreditar e neste momento o arbitro perde o controlo do combate com os 4 participantes todos no ringue ao mesmo tempo. Com o arbitro ocupado a tirar Tyler Breeze do ringue Kyle O'Reilly acerta com um low blow em Fandango. 1 2 3, UE avança no gautlet.

Segue-se Danny Burch e Oney Lorcan. Combate bem stiff com a UE a sofrer pelo desgante de já irem no seu 3º combate seguido. No entanto a experiência da UE vem ao de cima e conseguem vencer depois de acertarem com o High/Low em Danny Burch.
Falta uma equipa neste gautlet e aparece Kushida na rampa. Ele que tem problemas com os outros 2 membros da UE vem à procura de algum tipo de vingança. Mas quem é o seu tag team partner? Aparece Alex Shelley!

Combate espectacular entre estas duas equipas, um verdadeiro tag team classic e outra coisa não seria de esperar.
Em vários momentos do combate dá a ideia que Shelley e Kushida vão conseguir ganhar mas a UE acaba sempre por se conseguir safar. O final acontece quando Adam Cole e Roderick Strong aparecem e acabam por distrair Kushida que abandona o ringside para ir lutar com eles. No ringue a superioridade numérica faz-se sentir e a UE consegue mesmo a vitória depois do High/Low em Alex Shelley.

 

É anunciado um torneio para determinar quem irá desafiar Jordan Devlin pelo NXT Cruiserweight Title no TakeOver.

Lio Rush vs Raul Mendoza
Muito bom combate cheio de demonstração de atleticismo, basicamente um spot fest.
O final acontece depois de Lio Rush acertar com o Final Hour.

Chegamos ao Main Event desta noite, Roderick Strong contra Velveteen Dream. Strong quer vingança depois do desrespeito de Velveteen Dream perante a sua família.
Antes do combate vemos Adam Cole a dar motivação a Strong antes do combate.

Velveteen Dream vs Roderick Strong
Roderick Strong começa o combate bem agressivo com vários socos e 833673 variações de Backbreakers para tentar ensinar a Velveteen uma lição. Facto curioso que Roderick Strong nunca tenta o pinfall, hoje é para mostrar quem manda, hoje é para dar um verdadeiro significado à alcunha Mesiah of the Backbreaker. Tal como prometeu na semana passada Strong quer lesionar Velveteen Dream e impedi-lo de desafiar Adam Cole pelo NXT Title.
A certa altura do combate Strong leva Dream para fora do ringue e atira-o várias vezes contra a barreira. Tenta um backbreaker nos degraus do ringue mas é aqui que Velveteen consegue dar ao volta ao combate revertendo para um bulldog em cima desses mesmos degraus. Já dentro do ringue Velveteen ganhou uma nova vida e vai atacando Strong com todo o tipo de golpes. Eventualmente Roderick Strong consegue acertar outro backbreaker e aqui perde o foco, fica a discutir com Dream enquanto este está no chão a recuperar abrindo uma porta para Velveteen executar o Dream Valley Driver. Com Strong deitado no ringue Velveteen sobe até ao canto, Purple RainMaker! 1 2 3! Velveteen Dream vence Roderick Strong.

Velveteen Dream não tem tempo para festejar porque mal acaba o combate Adam Cole entra no ringue e começa a ataca-lo. Eventualmente Velveteen Dream consegue ganhar vantagem e Adam Cole foge do ringue juntamente com Roderick Strong mas Velveteen tem uma mensagem para o campeão.

Velveteen Dream - Come on Adam, are you scared of the Dream now? If you really wanna do this right now let's do it. Let's do it for that shinny belt you have right there.
Oh, you don't want that do you champ? Of course not, you know why? Because your not ready for the Dream Adam, you're not ready for the experience, but you better be. Come TakeOver i will have that belt around my beautiful waist baybay.

Michael Cole – Welcome to Friday Night SmackDown, live on Fox, and let me just start this program by enhancing the announcement that we had earlier today from the WHO, the announcement that the whole world has been holding his breath to hear, the vaccine for the new Coronavirus has been found, tested and is going into mass production in the next few days. Over the next few weeks the WHO and the various Health departments of every country worldwide is expecting to vaccinate some 5 billion people so that we can, in the shortest time possible return to the normal life we used to lead.

Now understand that this vaccine, however, does nothing to help those who are already infected by the virus and/or have the COVID19 disease. That means that the extended McMahon family who are under quarantine up north for close to two weeks, will remain so for the next few weeks, because the vaccine is not a cure, unfortunately, for those who already harbinger the virus.

We wanna express our deepest thanks to the Graeco-Turkish research team that are responsible for coming up with the vaccine that’ll save humanity, led by Doctors Pyrilampos Louminousos and Ali Aki Akollah, who’ve managed to put behind them over a thousand years of mistrust between both peoples and work together for a greater good.

As for our show tonight, we have a very special show for the WWE Universe here tonight on FOX. Just moments ago, General Manager Kurt Angle has announced that he’ll be throwing a “Goldberg Retirement Party”.

Corey Graves – That’s right Michael. However we’ve heard nothing from Goldberg himself on this matter.

MC – Anyways, also here tonight Bray Wyatt and his Firefly Fun House are back for the first time since Wrestlemania

Corey – Also, the SmackDown Women’s Champion Bayley is here, and her best pal Sasha Banks as well, to address the events of their match at Wrestlemania.

MC – Speaking of Champions, SmackDown Tag Team Champs, The Miz & Morrison, are also here, first time since Wrestlemania, and will host a very special “MizTv” episode.

Corey – That’s right, speaking of the tag teams tilte, tonight on “2020 Friday Night SmackDown Live on Fox Post WrestleMania All-Encompassing Tag Team Tournament”, we have a highly rated match, the Usos against the New Day, two of the most decorated tag team in the history of the WWE, will go head to head

MC- But lets go down to our colleague Kayla Braxton, that is at the entrance of the Performance Center where I understand the Universal Champion Braun Strowman is entering the premises.

(Camera cuts to Kayla that is Standing by the entrance of the Performance Center where Braun Strowman is approaching. She motions to ask him something)

Kayla – Braun, you’re coming from back to back wins against Goldberg for the Universal Title, how….

(But what is this!!!! Sheamus comes from behind and strikes Braun Strowman in the back of the head. He reaches for a chair and begins to just punish the Champ! Shot after shot! Mercilessly brutalizes the Champion. We have never seen the Monster Among Men treated in such a fashion. This goes on for quite some time, until the medical team comes and checks Braun into the Hospital)

MC – Corey, can you believe what we’ve just witnessed?

Corey – I’m speechless. I’ve never seen Braun Strowman being manhandled in such a fashion!

MC – Well we’ve all seen Sheamus coming to ring-side last week, but we never figured out why.

Corey- Guess we just figured that, Michael, Sheamus is hunting the Universal Champion.

MC – But let’s go on to the General Manager’s Office, where I understand General Manager Kurt Angle is in, with some special guests.

Corey – I know for a fact, Michael, that he prefers that we address it as his Head-Quarters, and his post as Commanding Officer!

(Camera cuts to Kurt Angle’s office where the GM is having a chat with the Artists Collective)

 

Sami – Sir, all due respect, but how about the Money in the Bank ladder match? What are you thinking of doing in regards, let’s say, to have some sort of qualification to that match?

KA – Thank you. So as I was saying, I’m already organizing that tournament. There’s no way I’m putting together another tournament. Do you even know how much effort it takes to put a tournament together, now you’re talking about another tournament?

Sami – Well, if you come to think of it, you’d have to add a third tournament for the Women’s ladder match at Money in the Bank. So…

KA – (Exasperated) Don’t even go there. I’ve put together the “2020 Friday Night SmackDown Live on Fox Post WrestleMania All-Encompassing Tag Team Tournament”, the single greatest tournament this company has ever seen, I’m not establishing other tournaments. Besides, I think…

(King Corbin enters the office)

KA – My liege, (slightly bows), I wasn’t expecting you here tonight.

Corbin – Well, I hear you are the new General Manager of SmackDown, and I, as the King, wanted to congratulate you. I’m sure together you and I will rule this realm onto bright days. With you in charge of daily chores, and me in a more of a ceremonial role.

KA – Sure, sure. As a matter of fact, since you both are here, I just decided on something very, very important.

Sami – Whatever you decide, must be a great decision (the others agree)

KA – Now I could arrange a tournament to determine who would represent SmackDown in the Ladder Match at Money in the bank…

Corbin -You could, you very well could…

KA – However, why should I? I mean if I want to have the best representation in that match, what better representation SmackDown could have than you mighty fellas. After all, you (points to Corbin) are THE King, are you not? And you (points to Sami) are the Intercontinental Champion. A tournament? (Laughs) a Tournament! (everybody laughs loudly together) Could a tournament bring me more worthy representatives than you both? Hell no!

Sami – A wise decision, Sir. So who would be the third representative?

KA – Hmm.. well, you two (motions to Cesaro and Nakarmura) will surely be at that PPV, I know you have what it takes to win the “2020 Friday Night SmackDown Live on Fox Post WrestleMania All-Encompassing Tag Team Tournament” and fight for the tag team titles, so you can’t be in the Ladder Match as well. I don’t know, I’d have to think it through.

MC – And we’re back. As you’ve witnessed earlier, GM Kurt Angle just made a decision. King Corbin and Sami Zayn will be two of the three SmackDown representatives in the Ladder Match at Money in the Bank.

Corey – An historical decision Michael Cole! And a Fair and Just one, like our Commanding Officer tends to make. Who better than King Corbin and the Intercontinental Champion Sami Zayn would be worthy representatives of our brand at the Money in the Bank Ladder Match?

MC – Well it’s now time for the second match of the first round of the “2020 Friday Night SmackDown Live on Fox Post WrestleMania All-Encompassing Tag Team Tournament” that’ll be opposing two of the most historical tag team this company has ever had.

New Day vs Usos.

vs 

(Usos’ song sounds throughout the arena, they enter the ring; then the New Day’s tune comes up as well, they come out with a plate of pancakes, which they proceed to distribute with the commentary team and also throw some towards the empty crowd; Jey an Big E start the bout.)

In the first minutes Big E dominates the scene, with powerful closelines and body slams to Jey, then to Jimmy. Kofi is tagged in the match and gets hit by a moonsault from Jey; the Usos dominate the match for some minutes. After a while Kofi manages to finally break the domination and hits a Trouble in Paradise, this is it, 1, 2,…No!! Jimmy escapes!. Kofi is frustrated, he picks Jimmy, just slams him in his corner and goes nuts, hits him very stiffly with punches and kicks, while shouting “Huh, think you can kick out of my Trouble in Paradise, huh Us’!?” The ref threatens with DQ; Big E tags himself in, but Kofi is relentless and continues the assault; Big E just grabs his partner to avoid a DQ; Kofi is not happy with being grabbed like a child and shoves his partner. What’s this? What has happened to Kofi. Big E is reminding his partner “Kofi, baby, it’s me, ya boy! This is not you, Kofi” He eventually calms down. Big E hugs his partner, gives him a kiss in the cheek.  Jey tags himself in and seizes all the confusion to hit a flying frog splash, goes to the ropes, slams Big E to ground. Now at ring side Jimmy is furiously hitting back at Kofi, the ref has lost control of this match. Big E exits the ring to help Kofi outside, but end up being hit in the head by a superkick from his own partner, accidentally, after Jimmy ducks. Big E is out, but he is still the legal man. Kofi is horrified with what just happened, he kneels down on his partner and apologizes, but is hit by a Superkick from Jey. The Usos shove Big E in inside the ring, both Usos climb up an opposite pole and hit the helpless Big E with a Double Frog Splash, cover (1), Kofi gets up (2), he slides under the ropes (3), too little, too late. The Usos have won. Kofi just lays there “I’m sorry brother! ‘m sorry”. As the Usos celebrate Kofi grabs a mic and yells “Go ahead, celebrate, but still there’s only one team with seven tag titles, and it is the New Day”. Jimmy replies “So far, Kofi. We’re at 6, and we’re going to number 7 at Money in the Bank”.

MC – And we’re back Corey, what an emotional display we’ve just seen in the ring. But now with you the Miz and Morrison already in the ring with a very special edition of MizTV.

Miz – Welcome to the must see Tv show in history, welcome to MIZ T V!

Morrison– That’s right, with us today, the SmackDown Women’s Champion, Bayley (Bayley’s tune comes up, she enters all smug exhibiting her belt)

Bayley – Thank you guys for that reception. I am the SmackDown’s Champ, and I’ve proved at WrestleMania that I am, in fact, the best Woman Superstar in all the WWE.

Miz  - Wow, that’s a wild claim.

Bayley – Oh, you think it’s Maryse? Please. She is a diva, she cannot handle herself in the ring, she’s a mere valet. I’m wrestler, a performer. I can beat anyone. I’ve just beaten 4 other women in the Grandest Stage of them all. Last year the whole world went mad because Becky beat 2 women on that same ring. A year later, I beat 4 women (Turns to Morrison and emphasizes ”FOR WOMEN”) and nothing, no parades, no WWE Specials, no Mattel toys. This company is afraid of me; of my success. They don’t want me to outshine their golden goose, Becky, but I do that every time I step into the ring.

Miz – Well, it’s a little unnecessary coming after Maryse like that, especially when she’s not around, but we’ve got bigger fish to fry.

Morrison – that’s Right! Now you affirm that you have defeated 4 women at WrestleMania. And that’s true. Now one of those superstars was your best friend, Sasha Banks. Has that put any strain in your relationship?

Bayley – Shut up! Y’all always do that. You guys, those schmucks at commentary, trolls on Twitter, everybody with a small brain a big mouth, always yapping about how Sasha is going to turn on Bayley, you all are clueless. You don’t see me trying to drive a rift between you two and your lovely bromance, why so you do that to me and Sasha?

Miz – But is true though? Do these things put a strain on your relation?

Bayley – Shut up! No. Of course it doesn’t. That’s fake news. Completely fabricated. The fakest of fake news. But I’ll let Sasha speak for herself (Sasha Banks’ theme comes up, she enters the ring and sits beside her bff)

Morrison – Now Sasha you heard us, you heard Bayley, you heard the trolls on Twitter. Who’s right?

Sasha – Well Morrison. I was the driving force behind the Woman’s Revolution, since it’s inception, all the way back in NXT. The top performer. But ever since its inception WWE has outshined me with Charlotte, at every turn. Just because she has “Pedigree”.

Miz – What’s that got to do with anything?? Is your friendship in jeopardy or not?

Sasha – Miz, will you just shut up at once!! As I was saying, now WWE headquarters has a new toy to play. Becky Lynch. All because she was (rightly so) punched in the face one time. And sure enough, you now see her being thrown in the spotlight, all the glories to her. And were does that leave me? Or Bayley? Where’s our spotlight? Where’s my glory?

Miz- So y’all are ok?

Sasha – If you want to ask me if I would want to have that belt, the answer is yes. Of course. Who’s in this industry to be number 2? But if you think that’s a reason enough to create a wedge between myself and Bayley, then you don’t know us at all. I tell you what. I WILL be Champ. And I WILL remain friends with Bayley (her music drops, she exits the arena, Bayley follows suit)

Miz – That drama is out of the way, now for another drama.

(Mandy music’s drops, she enters; Sonya Deville music’s sounds. She enters as well; Heavy Machinery music’s drops, they enter; Ziggler and Roode make their entrances as well).

Miz – Now, we don’t have security because of the pandemics restriction, so I’ll have to ask you gents, and ladies, to behave yourselves.

(Kurt Angle’s theme sounds, he enters)

KA – That is exactly right, Miz. How enlightened of you. Lemme tell you something, you’d make a great General Manager someday. But I am the Commanding Officer now, and I say, there’s too many bodies up there. Gents (points to Heavy Machinery and Ziggler and Roode), please step off. If you have grievances against each other, you can settle that in the ring in the “2020 Friday Night SmackDown Live on Fox Post WrestleMania All-Encompassing Tag Team Tournament”. You will face each other in the final, if you win your way through. So step off, now. And orderly (they comply, begrudgingly) Carry on then.

Miz – Well, the word of OUR Commanding Officer is law around here, and so, you two remain. I don’t even know what to ask you both, honestly..

Morrison – I think we should just let thing flow.

Sonya – Mandy. I’ve been by your side all the way, for 5 years. Since NXT. Through thick and thin.

Miz – Thick? Is that an Otis reference? Nice one!

Sonya – No, it’s not! Don’t try to create more problems between us.

Mandy – No Sonya. YOU created the problems between us. You messed with my intimate life, my heart

Sonya – I’ve just wanted to guide you in better choices. Otis is not the guy for you. You’ll lose a lot if you stay with him. Do you think you’ll ever make another cover of another big magazine? With Otis by your side? Do you think ‘Playboy’ wants Otis on the cover? There’s a lot of money to me made in those business, and you are throwing it away, for what? Pity?

Mandy – I only pity you. And our friendship, Sonya. I pity the fact that you were my best friend and you’d do something like this to us. And for what? For Ziggler?

Sonya – Ziggler means nothing to me!! He was just a tool. A useful idiot. I don’t care if you like him or not. I just care you don’t make the stupid choice of being with Otis. You’re a fitness mode, a role model, you can’t do that and date a 600-pound guy!

Mandy – That’s my choice. My own!

Sonya – You are gullible. Do you think I did that on my own? I had orders from upstairs. From the top. From people who have money. Do you know how much money our company makes form those covers of yours, from your healthy living and lifestyle tutorial videos? Do you think anyone in corporate wants you, the Fitness Goddess that makes this company so much money, dating the ham-eating-machine, that has three breakfasts a day like a freaking Hobbit? No Mandy. I was the means to an end. I did it because I am your friend. That’s why I did subtly. The powers that be would have done it far blunter. I took that bullet for you. I offered to do it more softly, so that the blow would hurt less. I am your one true friend.

Mandy (visibly confused) -  I…I… I don’t know if I believe you.

Sonya – If you were to ask the bosses I’m sure they’d deny it. But think: you know corporate, right? Is this something they would never do? Are those ideas, those methods, something that they wouldn’t resort to? Really? I tell you what. You were being considered to have a title shot. You Mandy. Because of all you represent. I know for a fact you were to be in the Money in the Bank ladder match, but then this business with Otis started, and corporate got cold feet. They’ll deny it, but it is true. Because they don’t want the face of the company to be someone who’s dating a zoo freak. Mandy, Otis is a dead end. Is where all your dreams go to die. I am your only friend. You’ll see.

(Sonya exists the ring, so does the Miz and Morrison; Mandy stays, shook after what she heard. Otis comes to console her, but she’s surely thinking if Sonya is right).

MC- And we’re back. In ring now:

King Corbin vs Heath Slater.

Corbin very easily disposes of Heath, with a closeline, and a Deep 6. But instead of moving towards the cover, he reaches for an infamous can of Dog food, while hurling insults as the defenseless Slater. A guitar sounds. Elias enters.

Elias – Now Corbin there’s one thing I respect. A man that can play guitar. And Heath there, has played the meanest most excellent guitar I’ve ever seen.

Elias – That was some guitar shredding my friend. Therefore. I cannot let you humiliate a fellow guitarist.

A brawl ensues, and Elias and Slater end up beating King Corbin, who just very luckily manages to escape the ring and eat a can of dog food himself. But his crown is left behind. MC – And we’re back! As you can see, we’ll have a tag team match later on. But we have another tag match now, a triple threat tag team match, the teams are already in the ring, and they are:

Alexa & Nikki vs Tamina & Naomi vs Lacey Evans & Ember Moon.

The not-title match commences with Alexa and the returning Ember Moon on. Alexa, the champ dominates the recently medically cleared Ember, with kicks and a couple back body drop suplexes. Naomi tags herself and glows Alexa into a corner with a series of athletic maneuvers, Nikki tags in, and rampages through Naomi with a series of chops and shoulder tackles; Ember Moon tags herself in again in place of Naomi, but is easily dominated by the thunderous and deranged Nikki who hits her with a jumping DDT. The baffled Ember Moon tries to get a tag from her partner, but, what is this! Lacey Evans just simply drops down form the apron, grabs a mic and proceeds to walk away.

Lacey – Now darling, nothing against you, but I don’t feel like being in a meaningless tag team match in a makeshift team for no reason at all. I want the SmackDown Women’s Championship and I’m going to strive for it. Darling, if you want to keep that match going, by all means, but I won’t join you. (She just walks away for the confusion of everyone involved, safe from Tamina, who follows Lacey’s lead, exits the ring, grabs a mic and simply say “What she said” and leaves as well)

EM – I also want the Championship. Everybody does. But this is not how you get there. We are WWE superstars, we strive to compete each and every week, to entertain the WWE Universe, now more than ever needing some sort of entertainment to keep our heads sound as we delve into this hellish pandemic. You claim to be a lady, bout you’re just a mean person. Abandoning a match, a partner like that. How is that the attitude of a Champion? Naomi, would you partner with me and finish this match, for all the WWE Universe at home? (Naomi agrees, the match is restarted)

Alexa Bliss & Nikki Cross vs Naomi & Ember Moon

Alexa and Naomi start the match, with similar athletic and high-flying profiles, so the match is very even. Both tag their partner at the same time, and a more striking combo ensues. Ember Moon gets the upper hand and hits an Eclipse to Nikki, this could be it, Alexa, with the save at two and a half.

Eleven minutes into the match and after a series of tags, Ember Moon is held by an Over the Shoulder arm drag applied by Alexa, this goes on for an agonizing time, Ember is about to tap. As Naomi tries to intervene to break the submission hold, Nikki Cross just barges in and applies a Spear, the commentators call it the “Spear of Scotland”. Alone, Ember has no choice but to tap out. The Champs win this one.

Corey – What could the Fiend and/or Bray Wyatt have in store for us this time?

All throughout the match Drew and Daniel apply a superior technical ability with a series of wrestling holds, submissions that out-maneuver the Champs at every turn. But the Artist collective stand up and move to the ring-side to stir things up. Shinsuke climbs on the apron, provokes Daniel Bryan, while Drew Gulak leans outside the ring to have a few words with Sami Zayn. The Miz and Morrison are glad, because they are exhausted and simply lay down recovering. As the referee is separating Daniel Bryan from Shinsuke Nakamura, Sami Zayn grabs a chair and hits the ring post and quickly puts the chair in Gulak’s hands. A loud noise is evidently produced. As the referee turns around to get a hold of matters he sees Drew Gulak with the chair, next to a laying Morrison and Cesaro yelling that Gulak hit Morrison with the chair. Sami Zayn concurs, so does the Miz. The ref, calls for the bell. He disqualifies the team of Drew Gulak and Daniel Bryan. The Miz and Morrison are the winners.

MC – And we’re back, and now we have a very special moment in WWE history, the Retirement Party of one of the greats, The Icon, Goldberg, brought to you by our GM, Kurt Angle.

Out there, in the arena the SmackDown Superstars are assembled for this moment of celebration, in the Tron several images of Goldberg’s career are passing on loop. KA- My friends we are gathered here to celebrate the career of one of the greatest of our industry, Goldberg, who had his last match ever last Friday, when he lost, yet again, to Braun Strowman in a Universal Title Match. His poor performances, not only in that match, but the match before at WrestleMania, and others we can all remember, has led myself (and Bill, I’m sure) to the conclusion that time has come for him to hang up his boots for good. No shame in that. I did it, he does it now. That’s the law of life.

The fact of the matter is, Goldberg is to old to compete. He is too old to hang in the ring for more than 5 minutes, he cannot even pull up a Jackhammer. And what’s Goldberg without his Jackhammer? I mean if Goldberg was ok to compete he would not be presenting “Forged in Fire: Knife or Death” he’d be competing in it! Once you transition to a role of sitting on your ass and watching others compete, it’s very hard to get up on feet once again. And that is probably the reason why he couldn’t be here tonight, he probably couldn’t get up from his couch. Not to worry, I’ll Fedex his retirement papers for him to sign.

For cryin’g out loud, there are people out there that are calling him “Oldberg”! This retirement serves not to punish him, but to protect him, protect his legacy, as seen in the images that are running in the Tron now…..You’d surely note that almost all of those images date back more than 20 years. You’ll also notice that pretty much all of them in the WCW, but that’s because we had a troubling time finding glorious moments of Goldberg that happened after the year 2000, and harder still that happened under the WWE banner, but still, great career, a great impact on the business, an Ico….

(Goldberg barges in! Apparently he does not agree with the retirement, and starts to absolutely punish Kurt Angle, with a merciless demeanor. Some Superstars try to intervene, but are pushed out the way by an infuriated Goldberg, who taunts Angle with phrases like “Huh, ‘Oldberg’ is kicking your ass”. O General Manager caminha para o ringue enquanto os comentadores vão falando entre si. 

Vic Joseph: Good night everyone, and welcome to Monday Night Raw. We’re gonna start the night with our General Manager who announced during the week that as a punishment for the actions of Rollins, Murphy, Akam and Rezar, none of them will have any title match at Money in the Bank. 

Aiden English: A lot of changes have to be done, because Murphy was gonna fight Andrade and Rusev for the US title and Akam and Rezar were schedule to challgenge the Street Profits for the Raw Tag Team titles. 

Byron Saxton: And don’t forget, this week we were supposed to have a match between Seth Rollins and Samoa Joe to determine the number one contender for the WWE title, but now Rollins is out of the picture and Samoa Joe is not medically cleared to compete this week, so what will happen? 

Vic Joseph: We have to wait and see... 

Já no ringue, Big Show começa a falar. 

Big Show: As all of you know, I’ve been here for over 20 years, I’ve seen a lot and I’ve done a lot. The most important thing that I learned is that here we solve everything in the ringue. An attack of 2 on 1, 3 on 1, 4 on 1 in the ringue, is not correct but I can’t judge, I’ve done it in the past, it’s business and everyone in that locker room knows that sometimes you do things that won’t make you proud, but that will get you what you want. But that is in the ringue... What happened last week was the most coward thing I’ve ever watched in WWE, and that kind of thing cannot be accepted while I’m in charge, which is why at Money in the Bank.. Drew passa por Lashley e Lana na rampa, a tensão é evidente, mas encaminha-se para o ringue.

Big Show: Alright this is the kind of fire I like to see. Montez, you can fight Akam, and that match is right now. As for the rest of you, you’re all banned from ringside, get the hell out of here. 

 

Montez Ford vs Akam 

O combate começa com Montez Ford ao ataque, desferindo murros rápidos e joelhadas nas costelas da Akam, mas este empurra-o para o afastar sucessivamente. Montez volta sempre ao ataque e numa dessas vezes é apanhado por um big boot. Akam ataca Montez no canto, atirando se contra ele várias vezes. Akam aplica um suplex seguido de um leg drop, vai para o pin mas Montez safa se ao 2.  O combate continua por mais alguns minutos, até que Akam consegue aplicar o Pumphandle Powerbomb e consegue a vitória sobre Montez Ford. 

Intervalo 

 

Kevin Owens vs Erick Rowan 

O combate começa com um ritmo um pouco lento, Owens bem que tenta dominar Rowan mas ele é demasiado grande para se deixar dominar. Após algumas tentativas Owens consegue aplicar um DDT mas Rowan rebola para fora do ringue. Owens segue-o mas corre mal e Rowan acerta-lhe com o spin kick. Rowan mete Owens de volta no ringue e fica com o controlo do combate durante alguns minutos, com vários rest holds. Após alguns minutos Rowan pega em Owens e tenta fazê-lo desistir com o bear hug, mas Owens resiste e começa a dar cotoveladas na cabeça de Rowan, até que este o larga, Owens acerta um superkick que atira Rowan contra as cordas, no regresso Owens consegue aplicar o Pop-up powerbomb e a vitória por pinfall. 

 

Theme de Aleister Black 

Seguimos já para mais um combate, enquanto Aleister faz a sua entrada cruza-se com Rowan na rampa, os dois fixam os olhos um no outro por alguns segundos e Aleister segue para o ringue. 

Aleister Black vs Jinder Mahal 

A campaínha toca e Jinder corre rapidamente para uma clothesline, mas Aleister baixa-se e quando Jinder se vira...Black Mass. 1,2,3 Aleister consegue a vitória 

Vic Joseph: Just like that! Aleister gets the win and for the second week in a row Jinder losses in less than one minute. 

Saxton: We’re getting word that there is something happening at the backstage, let’s see what it is. 

A câmera muda para o backstage e vemos Erick Rowan a destruir tudo, a atirar cadeiras contra a parede, a virar mesas... As coisas ficam ainda mais estranhas quando Rowan começa a olhar para as próprias mãos e começa a bater na cabeça, depois vai virado a uma porta e dá uma cabeçada, e mais uma, e assim continua até que a porta finalmente abre, e Rowan senta-se no chão, com a testa ensanguentada. Voltamos ao ringue... 

Saxton: What the hell happened there? 

Vic Joseph: I have no idea Byron, but let’s get ready for our next match. 

 

Rusev vs Angel Garza 

Antes do combate começar, Zelina pega no microfone. 

Zelina: Oh Rusev Rusev, I hope you’re not dreaming about winning the title at Money in the Bank, and that with that you’ll put your life back on track. You see, you weren’t even man enough to keep your wife with you, and you’re certainly not man enough to beat Andrade. You just don’t have what it takes. 

 

Começa o combate e imediatamente Andrade sobe à apron para distrair Rusev, e assim Garza ataca-o com uma joelhada nas costas. Garza vai tendo o controlo do combate e por duas vezes tenta o pin mas sem sucesso. Com Rusev encostado nas cordas, Garza corre virado a ele para o atirar para fora do ringue, mas Rusev consegue contra-atacar e é ele que faz Garza saltar para fora do ringue, aterrando em cima de Andrade. Rusev sai do ringue a mete Garza de volta para dentro, começando a trabalhar nas costas dele, com um backbreaker e várias manobras para desgastar. Zelina vai gritando fora do ringue, e Andrade recompôe-se e volta a subir à apron, aqui Rusev acerta-lhe com o Machka Kick, Garza levanta-se e Rusev acerta-lhe também o Machka Kick. Em vez de seguir para o pin, Rusev prende Garza no Accolade, enquanto olha para Zelina Veja, e Garza desiste rapidamente. A preocupação é bem visível na cara de Zelina. 

Rusev pede um microfone. 

Rusev: Zelina, you’re very sweet but you don’t need to worry about if I’m man enough or not. What you need to worry about is that man next to you on the floor, because at Money in the Bank, I will break his back and become the new United States champion.

Vic Joseph: It’s time for the last qualifying match for the men’s Ladder Match at Money in the Bank. 

Ricochet vs EC3 

EC3 aparece com um visual um pouco diferente, de cabelo mais curto, e também com uma atitude mais agressiva. O combate vai avançando com Ricochet a demonstrar as suas habilidades, com alguns golpes como o backfip kick e tornado DDT. EC3 consegue também acertar alguns golpes como o belly to back suplex e o russian legsweep. Durante mais de 10 minutos é um combate equilibrado, até que Ricochet acerta um dropkick em cheio no peito de EC3 que o atira contra o canto e o faz cair, Ricochet sobe ao canto, salta para o 450 splash mas EC3 consegue desviar se, Ricochet tenta recompôr-se mas sem estar a contar EC3 saca um roll-up, 1,2...3. De forma completamente inesperada EC3 consegue a vitória e qualifica-se para o Money in the Bank Ladder Match. 

Aiden English: That was unexpected, what a win for EC3. 

Saxton: This is the kind of victory that can make your career take a turn to the right direction. 

 

Theme da Becky Lynch 

Enquanto faz a sua entrada, Becky chama Saxton para que vá com ela ao ringue. Saxton fica surpreendido mas levanta-se e vai ao ringue com Becky. 

Becky: Byron, do you know why I called you? 

Saxton: Ahmm... No I don’t Becky. 

Becky: I called you because usually people just come to this ringue, get a microphone and talk about a lot of stuff without even being questioned about anything. So go ahead Byron, ask me something. 

Saxton: Oh..ok, I wasn’t expecting this. Let’s see... why did you helped Natalya last week? 

Becky: Good question Byron, good job. Well I didn’t help Natalya for her benefit, but for my own. I wanted to make sure that Kairi Sane wouldn’t be at the Money in the Bank Ladder Match. 

Saxton: And why? 

Becky: Because at Money in the Bank, I want to fight Kairi. I defended my title against basically everyone in that locker room, but not Kairi, and she did pinned me two weeks ago, so I want to write that wrong right. 

Saxton: But what about Shayna Baszler? Didn’t you told her that you could fight her again any time? What if she wants to fight you at Money in the Bank? 

Becky: I don’t have a problem with that, I’ve been beating everyone one on one, I could use a challenge and have a triple threat this time. I haven’t have one since I beat Charlotte and Shayna’s friend Ronda at Wrestlemania last year. 

Theme da Ruby Riott 

Ruby: You are really going over your head Becky. You think you can beat everyone at the same time... you’re not invencible Becky, but I hope you can defend that title at Money in the Bank, because I want to be the one who ends your title reign. 

Becky: We can fight for this title whenever you want dear. 

Ruby: Oh you can be sure it will be when I want, because in a few minutes I’m gonna beat Liv Morgan, at Money in the Bank I’ll get that briefcase and then I will pick the right moment to cash in and take that title. So yes, you can say it will be when I want. 

Becky: I’ll be waiting... 

Becky sai do ringue, e chega Liv Morgan para o seu combate. 

 

Liv Morgan vs Ruby Riott 

As duas ex-amigas começam o combate a tentarem aplicar várias manobras, mas como se conhecem tão bem, conseguem sempre escapar ao que a outra quer fazer. Ruby acaba por sair do ringue para repensar o seu plano para o combate, passado uns segundos Liv sai também para a forçar a voltar ao ringue. Ruby sobe primeiro e quando Liv sobe também é logo pontapeada. Ruby fica em cima de Liv e desgasta-a com vários golpes. A partir daí o combate não tem grande história, durou mais alguns minutos e acabou quando Ruby acertou o Riott Kick e conseguiu o pin. Ruby junta-se a Natalya e Nia Jax no Ladder Match no Money in the Bank. 

 

Passamos ao backstage com Charly Caruso. 

Charly: I’m here with the Kabuki Warriors. Kairi, what do you have to say to Becky? 

Kairi Sane e Asuka apenas gritam em japonês e riem durante dois minutos, deixando Charly confusa e sem resposta. 

Vic Joseph: And it’s time for our main event. The locker room is making it’s way to the ringue given that this is a Lumberjack Match. Remember, if Seth Rollins wins, next week he will fight Samoa Joe and Bobby Lashley, and the winner will face Drew McIntyre for the WWE title. Also he gets back the title matches for his buddies. If Drew wins, Seth, Murphy, Akam and Rezar are out of the Money in the Bank. 

 

Drew McIntyre vs Seth Rollins 

No ringside temos várias superstars: Murphy, Akam, Rezar, Zack Ryder, Curt Hawkins, Cedric Alexander, Apollo Crews, Eric Young, No Way Jose, Titus O’Neill, Riddick Moss e Shelton Benjamin. Espalhados pelos 4 lados do ringue, estão ali para garantir que o combate decorre dentro das regras de um Lumberjack Match. Após alguns minutos de combate, Drew consegue acertar o Glasgow Kiss e faz Seth sair do ringue, pelo lado dos seus companheiros, que impedem que os outros o mandem de volta para o ringue, e gera logo aí tensão entre os lumberjacks. De volta ao ringue, o combate continua com algum dominio de Drew, com manobras como o overhead belly to belly e o neckbreaker onto the knee. Minutos depois, Seth consegue apanhar Drew num Enziguri que o faz cair para fora do ringue, onde Akam e Rezar lhe batem e o voltam a meter no ringue, e aqui Seth fica com o controlo do combate. Seth aplica o snap suplex, sobe ao canto e aplica o frog splash, vai para o pin mas Drew safa-se. Seth continua ao ataque, tentando se focar em atacar a perna direita de Drew, provavelmente para reduzir as hipóteses de comer um Claymore Kick. Mais alguns minutos passam e Drew comsegue contra-atacar uma tentativa de superkick, desviando-se e aplicando um DDT. Drew volta ao ataque com o fireman’s carry gutbuster. À passagem dos 20 minutos, de forma um pouco inesperada Drew acerta o Claymore Kick, mas fica bastante queixoso da perna devido aos vários golpes de Seth, e Seth rebola para fora do ringue antes que Drew consiga fazer o pin. Akam e Rezar tentam proteger Seth e instala se a confusão no ringside, com os lumberjacks a começarem a lutar uns com os outros, isto leva a uma distração do árbitro que berra para que se separem e mandem Seth de volta para o ringue (que se vai levantando) mas do outro lado do ringue aparece Murphy, que aproveita a distração do árbitro e aplica um low blow em Drew. Seth volta ao ringue, e com Drew a tentar levantar-se, não lhe dá hipótese e aplica o Curb Stomp. 1,2..3, Seth vence o WWE champion. 

O show termina com Seth e o seu grupo a celebrarem no ringue, 3 deles terão title matches no Money in the Bank, e na próxima semana Seth também poderá ganhar o seu lugar no combate pelo WWE title.
