Vic Joseph: Good evening everyone, and welcome to Monday Night Raw. We’re live from the Performance Center and as you can see, the 6 Raw participants of the Money in the Bank Ladder Matches are in the ring. 

Aiden English: We have a great show for you tonight, as announced by the General Manager Big Show, tonight Aleister Black will face Erick Rowan, and also, the WWE champion Drew McIntyre will team up with Samoa Joe to take on Seth Rollins and Murphy. 

Byron Saxton: And don’t forget guys, we were promised some big announcements and surprises for today, I wonder what it may be. 

 

No ringue vemos Kevin Owens, Samoa Joe, EC3, Nia Jax, Natalya e Ruby Riott, todos sentados no topo de 6 escadas e de microfones na mão. 

Ruby Riott: Let me start this, two weeks ago I warned Becky Lynch that I would beat Liv Morgan to qualify for this match, that I’d win the briefcase and that one day I will cash-in and end her title reign. I already did the first part, next sunday I’ll win the briefcase and then, when I want, I’ll become Raw Women’s Champion. 

Nia Jax: It’s funny you’re talking about what happened two weeks ago and ignoring last week, when I beat you in a Triple Threat Match, and I believe you’re the one I pinned, Natalya. 

Natalya: That may be truth, but next Sunday it will be a different story, it’s not a normal match, to win you have to take everyone out and climb a ladder like this, that will take speed, and speed is not exactly one of your strenghts Nia. 

Ruby Riott: Do you wanna talk about speed Natalya? What speed do you have these days? You’re just a washed up has been. You shouldn’t even be here anymore, it’s no longer your time. 

Natalya: A washed up has been? Really? Maybe this washed up has been has to hit you with some reality and teach you a lesson about respect tonight. 

Ruby Riott: We can do that right now old lady! 

Kevin Owens: No no no ladies, you can do that later, because after this little friendly gathering, I have a match with this gentleman right here, Mr. Ethan Carter III. 

EC3: And you’ll lose Owens, asking for this match was the biggest mistake of your career. 

Owens ri-se. 

Samoa Joe: I think you’re getting a little over your head Ethan. Winning this last two matches is basically everything you’ve ever done in WWE, I think it’s actually the first time I’m hearing your voice. 

EC3: You’ll here a lot more from me from now on, because I’m no longer waiting in the back, now I’m getting opportunities and Sunday I’ll win the briefcase. Soon you’ll hear me talking as your WWE Champion. 

Tanto Owens como Samoa Joe se riem. 

EC3 (enervado) : You see, that’s your mistake, you’re not taking me seriously, just like management never took me seriously. But it only took ONE opportunity for me to get in this match, and I’m gonna win. (desce do escadote) If you two overlook me next Sunday I’ll break your backs through a ladder like this. (pega na escada e atira-a para fora do ringue). And you’ll be the ones out of your comfort zones, because you’re always used to be cheered by morons, but now they’re not here to support you. (salta a barricada e senta-se onde estaria o público) There will not be an idiot here chanting “Joe, Joe, Joe, Joe” and there will not be anyone screaming “fight Owens fight, fight Owens fight” (volta para o ringue) It will be just the three of us and three clowns from SmackDown, and a lot of ladders, tables chairs, kendo sticks and every kind of toys that I can use to hurt you, before I climb a ladder and grab that briefcase. 

Owens desce da escada onde estava. 

Kevin Owens: Alright, now you pissed me off. 

Do nada Owens aplica um stunner em EC3 e sai do ringue. 

Todos os outros descem das escadas. 

Ruby Riott: It seems that we can have our match now Natalya. 

Aparece um árbitro e Samoa Joe e Nia saem do ringue. 

Natalya: You’re right. 

Natalya dá um estalo em Ruby, que reage saltando logo para cima dele e o árbitro manda soar a campaínha. 

 

Natalya vs Ruby Riott 

O combate então começa já com as duas no chão a tentarem ganhar controlo. Natalya consegue agarrar numa perna de Ruby e tenta prender logo o sharpshooter mas Ruby dá-lhe um pontapé que a faz bater com a cara na turnbuckle. Ruby vai até ao canto e aplica o deathly night shade, tenta o pin mas Natalya safa-se. O combate segue por mais alguns minutos. Natalya consegue aplicar um snap suplex, volta a tentar prender o sharpshooter mas de repente aparece Sarah Logan a correr rampa abaixo, Sarah não entra no ringue mas começa a gritar com Natalya. Natalya aproxima se das cordas a perguntar a Sarah o que está ali a fazer, e distrai-se por tempo suficiente para Ruby chegar por trás dela e aplicar o STO, de seguida aplica o Riot Kick, 1,2,3. Ruby Riott ganha. 

Sarah Logan sobe ao ringue e levanta o braço de Ruby em celebração. Ruby parece algo confusa, mas celebra a vitória e saem do ringue juntas. 

 

Intervalo 

 

Aleister Black vs Erick Rowan 

Toca a campaínha e Rowan corre logo na direção de Aleister que o varre com um leg sweep e salta em cima dele com um double foot stomp. No chão, Aleister prende Rowan num crucifix para tentar que Rowan desista, mas ele não desiste e acaba por conseguir levantar-se e quebrar a manobra, atirando Aleister ao chão. Rowan volta a correr na direção de Aleister mas este desvia-se e acerta o chest kick, Rowan vai contra as cordas e Aleister aplica outro chest kick, que faz com que Rowan passe pelo meio das cordas e caia fora do ringue. O árbitro começa a contagem e aos 5 Rowan levanta-se, Aleister está no ringue à espera, e Rowan bastante enervado até dá um pontapé nos degraus de aço. Rowan vai para subir ao ringue mas começa a bater com as mãos na testa e a puxar a barba, muda de ideias e vira costas. O árbitro termina a contagem e Aleister vence por count-out, mas não fica nada satisfeito. 

 

Passamos para o backstage, onde vemos Lana com Bobby Lashley. 

Lana: Bobby what’s wrong? Bobby you barely spoke to me during the entire week. Bobby what is happening? 

Lashley: Do you really don’t understand? Last week I was going to beat Seth Rollins, but you’re annoying screaming warned him when I was going to spear him. You costed me the match Lana. 

Lana: But I was just encouraging you and helping you. 

Lashley: But you didn't help. I’m going to the gym and I don’t need encouragement for that, don’t follow me. 

Lashley sai e aparece Liv Morgan. 

Liv: Well well well, it seems that you can’t keep a healthy relationship for very long Lana. 

Lana: Shut up, you’re just jealous because me and my Bobby are very happy. 

Liv: You clearly are, that’s why you’re here alone. 

Lana aproxima-se de Liv, ficam praticamente testa com testa e parece que lhe quer bater. Aparece Big Show. 

Big Show: Ladies, I never really understand what happened between you two a few months ago, but I also don’t care. Problems are solved in the ringue, so go put your gear on, and get in the ringue after the next match. 

 

Voltamos ao ringue para mais um combate. 

Seth Rollins & Murphy vs Drew McIntyre & Samoa Joe 

vs 

Seth e Samoa Joe começam o combate. Joe tenta agarrar Seth mas este vai se sempre esquivando, mas eventualmente Joe consegue acertar o primeiro chop, atira Rollins às cordas e na volta aplica um spinebuster. Levanta Rollins e agarra-o por trás para tentar prender o coquina clutch, mas Rollins resiste então Joe tenta o sleeper suplex, Rollins aterra de pé e dá dois passos para trás na direção do canto, Murphy faz o tag. O combate continua entre Murphy e Samoa Joe de forma equilibrada, até que ambos aplicam uma clothesline e ficam ambos no chão, Murphy chega ao seu canto primeiro e faz o tag com Rollins, que entra logo em ringue, Joe está quase a fazer o tag com Drew mas Seth chega primeiro ao canto e dá uma joelhada em Drew que cai. Rollins continua ao ataque em Samoa Joe e encurrala-o no seu canto. Quando Drew se levanta e tenta entrar no ringue é impedido pelo árbitro, que assim fica distraído e Akam e Rezar aproveitam para puxar Samoa Joe para fora do ringue e aplicam um powerbomb no chão, metendo depois Samoa Joe de volta no ringue. Seth sobe ao canto, aplica o frog splash, 1,2.. Samoa Joe safa-se. O combate continua com vários tags entre Rollins e Murphy sempre no controlo, e Drew a desesperar para poder entrar no combate. Passado um bocado Samoa Joe consegue finalmente contra-atacar um dos golpes de Murphy e voltam os dois a ficar no chão, desta vez fazem ambos o tag ao mesmo tempo e entram Seth e Drew que se vão defrontar domingo pelo WWE title. Drew vem com tudo e derruba Seth com uma enorme clothesline, agarra nele e aplica um backbreaker, seguido de um alabama slam. Drew chega-se a um canto para preparar o claymore kick, mas Murphy entra no ringue e Drew acerta-lhe o glasgow kiss. Samoa Joe pede o tag, quer ser ele a acabar com Rollins, Drew acede e permite que Joe fique legal, mas Akam e Rezar puxaram Seth para fora do ringue. Drew vai imediatamente na direção deles, corre virado a Rollins para o claymore kick, mas Akam puxa Rollins do caminho e Drew acerta em cheio no poste do ringue. O árbitro tenta verificar como está Drew e diz a Seth para voltar ao ringue, enquanto isso Murphy consegue agarrar em Samoa Joe e aplicar o belly to back suplex e sai imediatamente de ringue, Seth volta a entrar e quando Joe se tenta levantar... Curb Stomp. 1,2,3 Rollins e Murphy vencem o combate. 

 

Passamos ao backstage, com Charly Caruso atrás de Aleister Black. 

Charly: Aleister, excuse me, can I have a word? (Aleister pára para a ouvir) Technically you got the win over Erick Rowan, but you were clearly not happy for it to be a count-out victory, do you have anything to say? 

Antes que Aleister conseguisse responder é atacado por Erick Rowan, que dá completamente cabo dele e o deixa estendido no chão. 

 

Voltamos ao ringue onde já estão Liv Morgan e Lana. O árbitro prepara-se para mandar soar a campaínha quando toca a música do Big Show. 

Big Show: I’m sorry everyone, my bad, I’m still new at this general managing thing and I forgot to tell you that your match is not against each other, tonight you’re a tag team.  

Lana e Liv Morgan olham confusas uma para a outra, claramente com pouca vontade de serem uma equipa. 

Big Show: So here it is, the first surprise of the night...

Byron Saxton: Oh my god, The IIconics are back, we haven’t seen them in months. 

Billie Kay e Peyton Royce aparecem na rampa e vão falando até ao ringue. 

Billie Kay: We’re baaaaack. 

Peyton: Aaaaand we’re ready... 

Billie Kay: ...to fight... 

Peyton: ...and it will be... 

Peyton e Billie: IIIIICONIC! 

The IIconics vs Liv Morgan & Lana 

vs

Billie Kay começa o combate do lado das IIconics, enquanto que do outro lado Liv e Lana não se entendem sobre quem deve começar o combate. Acaba por ser Liv Morgan, mas Lana força o tag o que gera ainda mais desconforto. O combate dura poucos minutos, com as IIconics a mostrarem um excelente trabalho de equipa, enquanto que Liv e Lana continuam a desentender-se. O fim chega quando Lana está no ringue com Billie Kay e a ser dominada, Billie faz o tag com Peyton e aplicam o sick knee from Sydney, Liv nem tenta impedir o pin, as IIconics vencem e Liv vai se embora. Regresso vitorioso para Billie Kay e Peyton Royce.

Vic Joseph: Ladies and gentleman, we were supposed to get this match earlier tonight but let’s see what happened.

EC3: Everyone saw what happened earlier, but I’m ready to fight, because I am The Top One Percent. 

Kevin Owens vs EC3 

Começa o combate com bastante intensidade, ambos querem ir com ímpeto para o Money in the Bank. O combate dura cerca de 15 minutos com boa ofensiva de ambos os lados, com Owens a conseguir alguns golpes como o crossface, german suplex, e o tornado DDT, já EC3 quase consegue a vitória após uma sequência EC3 splash --> bridging german suplex, mas Owens safou-se ao 2. Com cerca de 14 minutos de combate, EC3 tenta o The One Percenter, mas Owens consegue empurrá-lo, e quando EC3 volta Owens aplica um DDT seguido de um senton. Owens levanta EC3 enquanto lhe grita na cara “I’LL SEE YOU SUNDAY MR. TOP ONE PERCENT” atira-o às cordas e aplica o pop-up powerbomb. 1,2,3 Kevin Owens vence. 

Vic Joseph: What a great match that was. 

Aiden English: Can you believe in the resiliency showed by EC3? 

Byron Saxton: He was certainly impressive, but at the end, Kevin Owens got the victory and is heading to the Money in the Bank Ladder Match with all the momentum. 

 

Theme do Big Show 

O General Manager chega ao ringue, onde tem uma mesa e quatro cadeiras. 

Big Show: Earlier this week I promised some surprises and big announcements for today. We saw the return of The IIconics, and I’m sure they will bring great things to the Women’s Division. Coming this Sunday it will be Money in the Bank, my first PPV as Raw’s General Manager, and I’d like to announce that I just decided to book another match, between Aleister Black and Erick Rowan, so they can settle their differences since today’s match wasn’t enough. Another big announcement, that I am so proud to say, is that thanks to the great behaviour of all americans during this crisis, we’re able to have live audience again, so at Money in the Bank I expect to see a full arena for the amazing show that we’re preparing for the WWE universe.

Becky chega ao ringue e começa a falar. 

Becky: We’re here to sign the contract, right? So let’s call the wannabe tough woman and those two idiots that will just scream in japanese. 

Theme das Kabuki Warriors 

Asuka e Kairi vêm até ao ringue a falar japonês o tempo todo. 

Becky: I knew those would be your exact words. 

Theme da Shayna Baszler 

Shayna: Becky, you won’t be calling me a wannabe tough woman after I throw you off a ladder next Sunday. You’ll just see how tough I am when you have to look up and see me holding that title on the top of the ladder. 

Becky: You’ll have to break every bone on my body if you even want to get closer of touching this title on Sunday. 

Big Show: Save it for Money in the Bank ladies, because this match will be the main event and I don’t want to take any risk with my first PPV main event, so I’ll ask you to sign the contract and just leave, because if any of you get’s in a physical confrontation today I’ll cancel that match, and you may not have any other chance of fighting for that title, because you may not be here next week... 

As quatro olham umas para as outras confusas. 

Big Show: That’s right, my last announcement of the night is that next week, Raw and SmackDown will have a draft, so give your best next Sunday, it may be the last time you fight each other. 

As quatro assinam o contrato e uma a uma abandonam o ringue, deixando Big Show sozinho. 

Big Show: On Sunday.. (a câmera corta para o backstage) 

Vemos várias superstars (Hawkins, Ryder, Cedric, Apollo, Titus..) a chamar ajuda para alguém que está caído no chão, a câmera aproxima-se e vemos que é Kevin Owens que está inconsciente. Chegam os médicos e perguntam o que aconteceu, ao que Titus responde “We found him like this”. A câmera volta ao ringue e Big Show sai do ringue a correr em direção ao backstage. 

Vic Joseph: Does anyone have any idea of what happened there? 

Byron Saxton: Let’s just hope that Kevin Owens didn’t suffered any serious injury, but we don’t even know what happened. 

 

Andrade & Garza vs Rusev & Ricochet 

vs

Ricochet começa o combate com Garza. Ricochet começa logo a impressionar com a sua capacidade aérea e com vários golpes a usar as cordas. O combate dura cerca de 17 minutos a um ritmo alto e com todos com uma participação elevada. O fim chega depois de uma confusão com os 4 em que o árbitro acaba por perder o controlo, Garza e Ricochet estão legais, mas este úlitmo sofreu um DDT de Andrade e está deitado no ringue, enquanto que Garza e Andrade puxaram Rusev para fora do ringue e estão num dois para um, é aí que Ricochet se levanta e aplica um espectacular Tope con Hilo que mete os outros três ao chão. Ricochet mete Garza de novo no ringue, sobe ao canto e acerta o 630 senton. 1,2,3 Ricochet e Rusev conseguem a vitória. 

Rusev e Ricochet festejam no ringue. 

Theme do Seth Rollins 

 

Aí vem Rollins, Akam, Rezar e Murphy, o homem que no domingo vai defrontar Rusev e Andrade pelo US title. Os quatro começam a atacar Rusev e Ricochet, bem como Andrade e Garza, e aproveitando o seu cansaço dominam-os rapidamente. 

Theme do Drew McIntyre 

E agora aparece o WWE champion, acompanhado por Samoa Joe e os Street Profits. Os 8 envolvem-se numa grande brawl, com os babyfaces a saírem por cima e a fecharem o show no ringue, enquanto todos os outros estão espalhados no chão no ringside.

Após ter sido encontrado inconsciente durante o último Monday Night Raw, Kevin Owens foi submetido a vários testes que demonstraram que o mesmo sofreu um traumatismo devido a uma forte pancada na cabeça. O lutador enfrenta um período de recuperação de várias semanas até estar apto a competir. O General Manager Big Show informou nas redes sociais que o lugar de Kevin Owens no Money in the Bank Ladder Match será ocupado por outro lutador, mas não revelou quem será.

But the first WWE event to have a crowd since this whole covid-19 thing started will be NXT TakeOver Tampa Bay! You can see Ciampa vs Gargano the final chapter, for real this time, Jordan Devlin defending his Cruiserweight Championship, the queen Charlotte Flair against Bianca Belair, The BroserWeights vs The Undisputed Era in wich will be a tag team classic for sure, Keith Lee putting his North American Title on the line against Damian Priest and Adam Cole defeding his NXT Championship against Velveteen Dream. Sounds good right? So go buy your tickets because this will be an event that you don't want to miss. We're back and WE ARE NXT!!

Jordan Devlin junta-se à equipa de comentadores para assistir de perto à final do torneio dos Cruiserweights. O vencedor vai desafia-lo pelo Cruiserweight Championship no TakeOver Tampa Bay.

Lio Rush vs Isaiah "Swerve" Scott
Combate rápido entre estes dois, sem rest holds e sem tempos mortos. O domínio inicial pertence a Swerve que consegue fazer uso da sua força e tamanho para manter Lio Rush no chão.
A certa altura do combate Swerve acerta com um Suplex em Lio Rush seguindo com o Last Call, 1 2.. Lio Rush consegue pôr o pé na corda e evitar a derrota. Isto deixa Swerve frustrado então vai até ao canto e tenta um 450 Splash mas Lio Rush consegue desviar-se no último segundo. 
Altura para Lio Rush aproveitar e depois dum Bottom Rope Stunner Rush acerta com o Final Hour! 1 2 3! Lio Rush vence o torneio e vai lutar pelo titulo de Cruiserweight no TakeOver Tampa Bay!
Depois do combate Jordan Devlin vem até ao ringue e fica cara a cara com Lio Rush, levanta o titulo à frente de Rush e vai embora do ringue.

Bianca Belair vs Dakota Kai w/ Raquel Gonzalez
Domínio inicial de Dakota Kai devido as constantes distrações que Raquel Gonzalez vai provocando fora do ringue.
Eventualmente Bianca consegue ganhar alguma vantagem com a sua força. Raquel Gonzalez sobe até à borda do ringue mas Bianca acerta com um Dropkick. Oportunidade para acertar em Dakota com o KOD, 1 2 3 Bianca Belair vence antes do encontro com Charlotte no TakeOver.
Sem muito tempo para festejar Bianca é atacada por Raquel e Dakota até as atacar com a sua trança fazendo ambas fugir do ringue. Charlotte aparece pelas costas de Bianca mas depois de alguns socos Bianca acerta com o KOD em Charlotte pousando com o seu titulo enquanto a campeão está no chão. Sinal do vem ai no TakeOver?

Kushida e Shelley começam agressivos com um ritmo rápido e vários double team moves mas curiosamente sem nunca tentarem o pin. Provavelmente querem vingança pelas acções da UE nas últimas semanas e a vitória não é o mais importante.
Os Time Splitters vão dominando o combate com tag frequentes até que Roderick Strong sobe até ao ringue para distrair o arbitro que assim não vê o tag de Kushida em Shelley. Enquanto o arbitro tenta tirar Shelley do ringue a UE aproveita para acertar com o Chasing the Dragon em Kushida, 1 2.. Shelley entra no ringue para quebrar o pin. 
Kushida consegue eventualmente efectuar o tag com Shelley que vem fresco e acertar com o Slice Bread Nº2 em Bobby Fish mas este safa-se do pinfall. Shelley tenta o tag com Kushida mas Roderick Strong não deixa este entrar no ringue. O arbitro apanha Strong e expulsa-o do ring side mas esta distracção é suficiente para a UE ganhar controlo do combate e depois de O'Reilly acertar com um pontapé em Kushida para o tirar do ring side a UE acerta com o High/Low em Shelley, 1 2 3. A Undisputed Era vence novamente os Time Splitter.

Mas não têm tempo para festejar porque a correr a caminho do ringue vem Matt Ridlle e Pete Dunne que obrigam a UE a fugir pelas bancadas.

Keith Lee vs Cameron Grimes
Mal a campainha soa Cameron Grimes tenta o Cave In mas Keith Lee consegue desviar-se a tempo. Lee não perde muito tempo e acerta em Grimes com várias chapadas no peito que deixam Grimes sem ar, este sai do ringue para acalmar a ofensiva de Keith Lee.
De volta ao ringue Cameron Grimes tenta um Shoulder Tackle em Lee que nem se mexe. Keith Lee bastante agressivo mostra a Grimes como se faz com o seu Shoulder Tackle que manda Grimes contra o canto do ringue. Lee tenta acertar com a Spirt Bomb mas aparece Damian Priest por trás que começa a atacar Keith Lee que assim ganha este combate por DQ.
Cameron Grimes e Damian Priest continuam a atacar Keith Lee enquanto este está no chão até aparecer Dijakovic para fazer o save.
Dijakovic luta com Grimes e Priest até que Keith Lee e se levanta, mas quando Lee o tenta ajudar Dijakovic acaba por lhe acertar com uma cotovelada sem querer. Lee fica furioso e começa a atacar Dijakovic. Grimes e Priest saiem imediatamente do ringue com Priest a ficar no topo do stage a olhar para Keith Lee.

Cole assina o contracto, Dream faz o mesmo e começa a atacar Adam Cole. De repente sai a restante Undisputed Era debaixo da mesa onde o contrato foi assinado e começam a atacar Velveteen Dream.
Passado poucos segundos aparecem os BroserWeights para equilibrar as contas e inicia-se uma brawl gigante. Eventualmente a Undisputed Era consegue levar a melhor e o show acaba com os seus membros de pé enquanto os restantes ficam estendidos no chão. Adam Cole com o seu NXT Title, Kyle O'Reilly e Bobby Fish com os Tag Titles levantados no ar.

COREY – Welcome to Friday Night SmackDown, live on Fox, the last one before Sunday’s Money in the Bank pay-per-view, streaming live on the WWE Network, the first WWE pay-per-view to have a live audience, along with tomorrow’s NXT TakeOver Tapa Bay. Exciting news, right Mr. General Manager, Sir?

KA – Corey, very exciting! I tell what. It was my wish that this evening show was the first WWE program to have a live audience since the beginning of the pandemic, but since this week’s Monday Night Raw couldn’t have one, apparently, we shouldn’t as well, for equality’s sake. Anyhow. A very exciting show for you tonight as we define the matches for Sunday’s Money in the Bank.

Corey – But, Sir, we’ve had some problems with the Usos, last week. They have been hospitalized and it came out as food poisoning, as a toxic substance was detected in their organisms. Now you originally scheduled them for a match tonight against the SmackDown Tag Team Champions, but earlier today that match had to be cancelled due to the Usos not being medically cleared, and you have tweeted out that you had scheduled the New Day to compete in their stead. Speaking of which, I understand that we got Kayla next to Kofi and Big E, backstage.

Kofi – What’s up, my brotha, are you ready for our match tonight against the Champs? We gotta eye those tag titles, man, always eyeing those titles!

BE – Kof’, nevermind the match man. We need to talk about last week. Look me in the eye, and tell me: did you have anything to do with the Usos going to the hospital? I mean, those pancakes and gravy you gifted them last week.

Kofi – What???? How can you even say that? Are you really suggesting I poisoned the Usos? Do you really think me capable of such a thing?

BE – Kof’, listen. I dunno what to think anymore. I mean, you gave them those pancakes, they eat’em and half an hour latter they’re throwing up like crazy, and have to remain in the hospital for a week or so. It do looks suspicious you gotta admit. I mean, you’ve read the tweets. You saw the theories on social media!

Kofi – But I wasn’t expected to hear that from you, from my brother. I wasn’t expecting you to think something so monstrous about me. After all we been through? I am distraught about what happened to the Usos as much as anyone. And I did not had anything to do with that.

BE – Hey man it’s all I wanted to hear from you.

Kofi – Yeah but I had to hear what I never expected to hear from you. I can’t even… (grabs his suitcase and just bolts out of the locker room, heading to exit the building. Big E pursuits him, apologizes, tries to dissuade Kofi from leaving, but Kofi feels attacked and heads on. Will he return to the match?)

(The action returns to the ring where the 8 men involved in the ladder match are making their entrance, SmackDown’s other representatives, Sami Zayn and King Corbin, are on commentary)

Prior to the match starting, GM Kurt Angle gets up and addresses Drake Maverick:

KA – Hold on! I cannot allow this match to continue before we get things straight. Drake Maverick. I cannot allow you to compete here whilst you have that dubious status of SmackDown Superstar and General Manager of 205 Live. Imagine you winning this match, going on to win Sunday, cashing in successfully for the Universal Championship and bringing our top title to 205 live? I cannot allow that possibility.

DM – I have been thinking about this, long and hard, since you brought it up a couple weeks ago. You have put me on the spot here, I have to confess. On the one hand, I have my dream of being a WWE champion. On the other I have the huge responsibility of managing 205 live.

KA – Yeah, I get that, but I cannot have anyone here with divided allegiances. Make your choice, now!

DM- Oh, Mr. Commanding Officer, sir, but I have made my choice. As a matter of fact, I have decided today to completely end 205 Live operations effective immediately. It has become a superfluous trinket since the Cruiserweight title move to NXT. It should have ended a long time ago.

Daniel Bryan – You cannot do this! You have no power to do that. Only the McMahons have such a power.

DM – Oh, but you’re wrong. I am (well…was) the GM of 205 Live. I have the full control of it. And in case you haven’t noticed, the McMahons are bed-ridden with COVID. They don’t make any decisions around here anymore. The only authority figure in these parts is Kurt Angle, our Commanding Officer.

DB – What of the people that work in that show? The Superstars, the staff? What’s gonna happen to them?

DM –They’re all out a job right. All contracts pertaining to 205 Live are now voided; all its assets scattered, even its video library erased. Nothing must remain of the 205 experiment. The so called “superstars” of 205 Live are all fired. All except my friend Gentleman Jack Gallagher, whom I beg GM Kurt Angle to hire for SmackDown. The rest, well, they can beg for a job to the GM of Raw or NXT, for all I care.

KA –Enough of this. You can shut your mouth now Daniel Bryan, what do you know of being General Manager of anything? (Turns to Drake) Excellent. You are now a full-time superstar of SmackDown. And I will bring Jack Gallagher here, if it pleases you. You may now begin.

The match starts. The only way to win it by putting a ladder up and retrieving the token “SmackDown Logo symbol” that dangles up from the roof, 20 feet of the floor.

Daniel Bryan immediately puts Drake out of action with a couple of kicks to the chest and a DDT. Nakamura and Cesaro are working together (however there can be only one winner) going right after Ali and Gable; the four of them are involved in a sort of tornado tag team match for quite a while ignoring the rest of the participants; Elias goes after Mojo slams him to the ground and tosses him to the outside.

Elias and Bryan are left the ring, staring at the Token high up. They both go for a ladder, Bryan hits his through Elias, grounding him. But as he uprights his ladder he realizes it’s too short. He climbs to the top but does not reach the Token. Meanwhile, Cesaro and Nakamura realize it and quickly stop Bryan, Cesaro shoves the ladder and as he falls, he’s hit by a stunning Kinshasa! He’s surely out of the match. To add insult to injury, Bryan is tossed out of the ring and buried beneath layers of ladders. He is no longer a contender in this match. Mojo and Drake return to the ring, begin trading blows, but are floored by a double lariat by Elias.

Elias and the Artists Collective are now in the ring as Sami Zayn joins them in the ring. A 3 on 1 ensues; Drew Gulak comes from the back to check on his mentor; Elias is being pounded by the whole of the Artists Collective. There are no dq’s in this match the refs cannot do much to stop it. But out comes King Slater and he is bringing the fight to the Collective! Elias his boosted by the sudden arrival of his mate, is able to deal with Cesaro, superkicking him to the outside of the ring. The odds are now even, but Zayn and Slater are not legal contenders.

Meanwhile on the outside, an apparently confused Mojo Rawley in pinning Cesaro. But no! It’s on purpose, as he is shouting to the refs to make the count. Remember Cesaro is the 24/7 Champion, and apparently Mojo is more interested in that title than the opportunity of going to Money in the Bank. The refs comply, as the 24/7 rules are not suspended for the match, 1,2,3, Mojo is now the 24/7 Champion!

He heads out of the arena, pausing to celebrate. He appears to be forfeiting the match. As he is celebrating thrilled, the Fiend theme song sounds, the lights dim. HE comes out, terrible and horrendous as ever. But he is not alone.

Bo Dallas is with him. He looks different, changed, he sports a new attire, dark and loathsome. He has a deranged look on his face, his hair is wet and wrangled. This is some kind of new Bo Dallas. The Fiend points to Mojo eerily. Bo Dallas nods and goes for him. Mojo is terrified and falls to his knees begging, paralyzed in fear. He is swiftly picked up by the Fiend and Bo and dragged out back, screaming.

The lights turn up again and the match continues. Elias has gained the upper hand in his bout against the Collective, but has no time to celebrate as King Corbin comes to ring, Scepter in hand, and bashes him and his pal Slater, hurling insults to both, reiterating “I am the one true King around here!! Me. Only Me! See this Scepter? It was earned, and it makes me King, more than that stolen Crown.”. He then picks up a chair and proceeds to hit both Elias and Slater on their backs, each time barking “Where is it, huh? I want it back!”, this continues, driving Elias and Slater off the stage.

Meanwhile, Drake Maverick finds himself alone in the middle of the ring, staring at the ticket to MitB. Nakamura and Cesaro were floored by Elias and Slater; Mojo was kidnaped by the Fiend and Bo Dallas; Elias was driven out by Corbin; Bryan was buried underneath a ton of ladders; He cannot believe his luck. But he neglected to think of Ali and Shorty G. They are on opposite corners of the ring; Maverick tries to reason with them. They signal each other and run at the same time towards the defenseless Drake. But, a terrified Drake cowers and ducks, causing Gable and Ali to ram each other and be knocked out cold.

Drake Maverick is now truly alone. He revels in that fact, jubilant. He proceeds to go the stack of ladders outside the ring over Daniel Bryan and sneakily tires to pick one up, but a hand emerges from underneath! It’s Daniel Bryan! He grabs Drake who tries to get away. Daniel Bryan gets a second wind, and he is incensed. He picks up Maverick, puts in on his shoulders, and slams him to the stack of ladders.

He picks one ladder up, erects it in the center of the ring, climbs up, guarded by his mental coach Gulak and this is it! He wins! Daniel Bryan is going to Money in the Bank!

Sonya Deville vs Mandy Rose

This match is not only a rubber match between two former besties turned bitter enemies, but also a qualifying bout for the Women’s Money in the Bank ladder match. As falls count anywhere, Sonya bashes Mandy right after she steps out the entryway. The bell rings as Sonya is beating Mandy all over the Performance Center building, bashing her through doors, hitting her with chairs, trash cans, you name it!

All the while, Sonya hurls harsh words at a suffering Mandy “You just dished out our friendship like it was nothing!”. Otis and Tucker come out, but Sonya strongly states “STAY OUT OF IT YOU BACON EATING MACHINE!!”. Otis checks on Mandy, but otherwise does not interfere, as he does not want to hit a woman.

However, Ziggler and Roode creep up from behind and bash both members of Heavy Machinery with trash cans, and continue the assault. The referees are unable to impeach the all-out brawl.

Sonya picks Mandy Rose and drives her head through the door of the Commanding Officer’s HQ. Opens the door and repeatedly bashes her head with it. Inside, a shamed Michael Cole is seen, hazmat suited, sanitizing the General Manager’s table. Sonya leads Mandy away to beat her up in another location.

The match has been purely one sided up to this point, but Mandy finally fights back and eventually hit Sonya with a DDT on the concrete floor. She picks her up and applies a release Supplex towards a bunch of chairs that lay around. Mandy is incensed. She was betrayed by her best friend who now claims she was the one responsible for their break up.

Mandy is now on top and brings the action back to the ring area, however, Sonya counters and drives Mandy into the ring post. As she moves to the cover, Mandy double stomps Sonya stomach and she hit the steel stairs. Mandy, overcoming immense pain, picks her former best friend and applies the Double Underhook Facebuster. This is it, 1, 2, 3. Mandy wins! She is going to the ladder match at MitB.

KA is in the center of the Ring, conducting the contract signing of the SmackDown’s women’s Championship Triple Threat No Disqualification match on Sunday. Lacey, Tamina and Bayley are present, sign the deal and proceed to trash talk to each other. As things are escalating and Superstars are going head to head, Goldberg’s tune is heard. He steps out, accompanied by Jeff Hardy).

G – Kurt Angle! Myself and my fellow “oldie” right here (motions to Hardy) are here to kick your general-managing ass!

JH – You claim we’re too old. We just want you to put that claim to an empirical test. You know, for science’s sake.

(The pair sprint towards Angle, who just bolts out of the arena, and out of the building apparently, followed by Goldberg and Hardy)

Corey – Welcome back, as I am joined here by Michael Cole, after General Manager Kurt Angle had to, well, had to leave the building abruptly, and we needed an experienced commentator out here. Michael how glad are you to be back at this table?

MC – Corey, let’s just move on with the show! We have still some matches to present, starting with the bout between Naomi and Ember Moon for the last spot on Sunday’s ladder match!

Naomi vs Ember Moon

It is a table’s match, which mean the only way to win is for your opponent to be driven through a table, but it calls for more powerful competitors, what was General Manager Kurt Angle thinking when we booked this match, points Michael Cole on commentary.

In effect, both competitors produce a speedy match, but are not strong enough to drive one another through a table. Naomi, after applying a Nightfall and a Springboard Legdrop assembles a table at ringside, right under the ring pole. She then heads to the ring to try push Ember to the site, but Ember Moon fights back and manages to hit Naomi with a Fallaway Slam, then a Jumping Tornado DDT. She grabs a table, leans it in the corner of the ring, but is unable to fully assemble it, because Sasha Bank’s tune is heard.

Out comes Sasha, the other participant in the Women’s ladder match on Sunday, looking perhaps to debilitate her potential opponents. She strides to the ring with great confidence and applies the Wheelbarrow Bulldog to Ember. Naomi stands up, climbs to the apron to confront the invader, but Banks hits the ropes, picks up speed and connects with the Bank Stamp right on the chest of Naomi who goes flying onto the floor. Sasha stands there, looking victorious and trash talking, but gets overconfident. Naomi and Ember are furious and team up to beat Sasha up, ending up in picking the intruder up, climbing to the top rope and just dropping Sasha right through the table that Naomi has previously erected at ringside.

However, after dispatching of Banks, Naomi and Ember are rivals again, and a spot on Sunday’s ppv is on the line. As such Ember Moon hits Naomi with a devastating Eclipse right from the top rope. But when she is trying to drive her opponent through the table set inside the ring against the corner, Naomi revives and pushes her towards that corner. Fortunately for Ember, she is able to break the momentum and instead collides gently with the table, not breaking it. Naomi accelerates from the opposite corner looking to hit a running double drop kick, but Ember moves out of the way, so that Naomi ends up driving herself through the table, thus handing the win to Ember Moon. She picks the last spot in Sunday’s Ladder Match.

MC – And we’re back for the Finals of the “2020 Friday Night SmackDown Live on Fox Post WrestleMania All-Encompassing Tag Team Tournament”, that will oppose Ziggler & Roode and Heavy Machinery

Corey – Remember that these teams already clashed earlier in the backstage area, and Heavy Machinery took a heavy beating. Let’s see in what shape they come to the ring.

Ziggler & Roode vs Heavy Machinery

Otis and Tucker are in a bad way, limping, patched up and bruised. Ziggler and Roode come out looking sharp and confident. The exact opposite. Roode and Tucker start the match, but Tucker still hurt from before, quickly tags Otis in and Roode applies a beating to Otis, taunting him shout sarcastically “Uhhh Yeahhh” from now and then. Ziggler is tagged in, and humiliates Otis by strapping his arms in between the top and the middle ropes, delivering chops at his chest; “You’ll never be good enough for Mandy, you porkchop of a man” is shouted by Ziggler. The referee eventually breaks the hold, but Otis is in a bad way. Ziggler delivers the ZigZag, covers, 1, 2, but Otis in tears, absolutely deranged and tapping in into a second fuel tank, of rage and vengeance, simply swats Ziggle through the air while breaking the count. He gets up, all red in the face, looking like a mad man, and impervious to pain as he resists every chop, kick and strike by Ziggler, yelling “Uh Yeah” at every turn.

Ziggler and Roode are baffled, scared even, in the mental part of the match, Otis has already win. He is envisioning all the trials and tribulations Ziggler has put him through the last few months and taps into that rage to power up. As Ziggler reaches for a tag out, Otis simply grabs him, slams him to the floor, goes for a Caterpillar – Tucker big boots Roode as he was trying to interfere – and connects. Otis and Tucker then apply a Compactor successfully, Otis covers, 1, 2, 3!

MC – And we’re back, in the ring still Otis, Tucker and Mandy Rose are celebrating the fact that Heavy Machinery won the “2020 Friday Night SmackDown Live on Fox Post WrestleMania All-Encompassing Tag Team Tournament” and will face Miz and Morrison for the titles on Sunday.

Corey – Speaking of the Tag Champions they are in action next, against the New Day, but earlier on Kofi was disappointed at Big E’s questions, and left the building, so we don’t know what that means for the match.

MC – Right Corey. Also, we would have the Contract signing for the Universal Championship match on Sunday right after that, but General Manager Kurt Angle has also left the premises earlier, so we do not know if that is gonna take place or not, since no one here knows where those papers are.

Miz & Morrison vs New Day.

The Miz and Morrison come out to their tunes, all smug, titles on the shoulders. The New Day’s music sounds but only Big E comes out, dismayed, alone and sad. Miz and Morrison mock him for being alone and having been deserted by his pal. However, Braun Strowman’s roaring song is heard. Out comes the Universal Champ, mic in hand:

BS – Big E, since you are alone, and I also find myself in need of some match fitness, I am offering to be your partner tonight (Miz and Morrison protest, Big E accepts, but here comes Sheamus after is theme song is heard)

Sh – Braun, Braun, Universal Joke, Braun Strowman. I also need some match fitness for our match on Sunday, when I am taking that belt away from your undeserving hands, and restore SmackDown with a deserving Champion.

BS – The only thing is gonna happen on Sunday is that you are gonna Get This Hands!

Sh – Sunday? Why wait? You enter Big E’s team, I enter the Miz and Morrison’s team and we fight it out right now. Ya know, to get some match exercise. GM Kurt Angle is not here but I’m sure he’d approve of this philosophy and this match, right?

Big E – I agree, but this is a three on two match, it’s uneven.

Miz – No no no no. It’s three on three. You simply have been abandoned by your partner.

JM – Yeah, in fact, if he decides to come back, for some reason, he can join the match. So, it’s 3 on 3. Perfectly even. (everybody agrees and the match is ready to begin)

Miz& Morrison, Sheamus vs Big E, Braun Strowman (and Kofi, if he appears)

Big E and Miz start the bout, as the New Day member takes the upper hand with a superior brute force. A couple of belly to belly supplexes later, Miz is ready to get out and tags Morrison who goes to the ropes and performs a moonsault, followed by a couple of superkicks, dropkicks and a Jumping DDT, covers, 1, 2, Braun invades de ring and breaks the count. Braun does not want to get out, he’s tagged in, and asks for Sheamus. Sheamus complies and goes for the Brogue Kick, but misses as Braun grabs Sheamus’ leg and press slams him to the floor. It’s the queue for Braun dominating the match for quite a few minutes but he doesn’t go for the cover.

On commentary Cole makes the point “if Sheamus is being so dominated here tonight, how on earth does he expect to win on Sunday?”. The point is valid, as Sheamus falls prey to a half Nelson submission, and seems fading. Morrison goes to interfere and is stopped by the official, but Miz capitalizes on this distraction and connects with a standing dropkick, before exiting as nothing happened. Morrison tags himself in and dominates the Monster with quick footwork, making successive tags with Miz. Finally, Strowman connects with a Lariat and tags Big E. However, he falls victim to a vicious double team by the Tag champs, as Sheamus distracts the ref by picking a fight with Strowman at ring side. When the ref regains control of the action, Miz is applying a Figure-Four Leglock to Big E, who’s ready to tap.

But out comes Kofi! Kofi is here and mind you, he is legal in this match. He is going to save his partner. But Kofi does not sprint to the ring as you’d expect, he takes it easy. Whence he reaches the ring side he pauses, looks to the ground, shakes his head and leaves. Big E is yelling for help. In this commotion Sheamus hits the Universal Champ with a Brogue kick at ring side to stop him intervening in the ring action. Big E is spent, and taps out. Miz & Morrison with Sheamus are victorious. Braun is laying face down. Could this be a sing of things to come? Just before the show ends, Cole explains that the ceremony of Contract Signing isn’t obviously taking place as the GM is M.I.A, and the papers are with him. Corey rebuffs that, saying it is a mere detail.
