Outra maneira é o Kurt olha para o Goldberg como um velho que se recusa a reformar, e por isso "ah é? ah queres lutar? então toma lá, vai defrontar dois outros wrestlers, top performers e no pico das suas capacidades a ver como te safas". Ou seja, não é exactamente uma oportunidade pelo titulo, é uma oprtounidade para demonstrar que o Goldberg está velho. E de calar estas constantes intervenções dele e estes constantes tweets de uns para os outros.

The show starts with Kurt Angle’s music playing, the crows chants you suck to the tune. He is visibly upset.

MC – Welcome to SmackDown live, from the Amway Center in Orlando, as we host GM Kurt Angle, who I understand has some announcements to make. Sir, have you recomposed yourself from last week’s Gala fiasco? Are you going to try again this week?

KA – Erm..No no more galas on SmackDown. This is a wrestling show! Here we fight, we don’t dress nicely and eat finger food. What I have to announce is that as we have split from the tyranny of Raw and it’s Big Oaf GM, I am proud to announce that the SmackDown live will be hosting its own pay-per-views, starting with “Backlash”, live from Atlanta, on June the 13^th.

Corey – Wow, great news! Speaking of which any progress in scheduling a third hour of our show on Fox?

KA (visibly unready for that question) – Well…. Not yet. There’s some setbacks in negotiations with the execs. Apparently there’s some concerns over the Authority I’d have to make such a move. But we’ll get there. Anyway I have announcement concerning one title defense that I want to schedule for tonight.

Corey – Wow, that’s another great news! What title Mr. Commanding Officer?

KA – See I’m a fair and just Commanding Officer. And as commander of men, I am always paying attention to what goes on around here. And last week, RTruth confronted US Champion Murphy, and then beat the AoP in a tag match with NoWayJose. Now I think that is worthy of a title shot, and no place better that right here, right now in Orlando! (the crowd reacts positively; Kurt get emotional to not being booed for once)

(money, money, money, dollars, dollars)

Shane McMahon’s tune comes up. He enters. Kurt Angle is genuinely surprised and scared, and tries to sneak out.

Shane – Wow, there, Kurt, Kurt, where are you going? Stay there. Now, to the WWE Universe, is great to be back. No, I am not back at weekly programming, I’m just here for a couple of reasons. First to update the WWE Universe on my family’s health. I know everybody has been worried about us. I’m here to assure that we’re all ok now, although the Old Man may require some more time to be back on active duty, he was hit particularly bad.

(the crowd is happy to hear that every McMahon made a full recovery)

Shane – Secondly, I’m here to inspect a couple of things on SmackDown in representation of my father and the Shareholders, you know keeping up to date with how business is going. I hear that some unsanctioned decisions have been made by the new management, and we want to get a feel of the current situation of SmackDown.

KA – (Sweating profusely) Oh, Shane, Shane, by all means, be my guest. Go ahead inspect all you need. As a matter of fact you go ahead and collect the opinions of the staff and Superstars while I go to my Head Qua…my office to organize the paperwork concerning SmackDown. Meet me there. Excuse, me, Excuse me (he leaves hastily, Shane eye balls him with mistrust, the fans boo him off)

(When the show resumes, Seth Rollins is seen waiting by the entrance of the premises. Big E enters)

Seth – E, E, E, I think you’re delusional. You’re thinking you are something you’re not. You’re out of touch with reality. You think you’re some kind of hero, having to intervene in other people’s matches.

BE – Me? Delusional? Me? How about y…

Seth – Shut up! You have messed with The Liturgy of the Messiah, you have proven yourself unfaithful. I cannot abide that. Let’s settle this in the ring!

BE – Oh, we can go right now!

Seth (a little taken aback) – Well… I haven’t got my wrestling gear on tonight as you see. So, we have to reschedule to next week.

BE – Next week I already have a match against ya boys, the Authors of Phony.

Seth – What? Not man enough to pull double duty, huh?

BE – Oh you’re on. Next week I’ll trash you and your whole cult.

(as the camera cuts away, Shane is seen in the background talking with some crew members with a concerned look)

When the program resumes Miz and Morrison are chilling out back with Ziggler and Maryse, prior to their match against Viking Raiders. Lashley appears, accompanied by Lana, looking impressive. They all talk cordially, then Miz & Morrison have to leave for their match, Maryse goes with them promising to catch up with Lana afterwards. Ziggler addresses Lashley:

DZ – You know what, Bob (can I call you Bob?) You’re an impressive guy. Maybe the most impressive outta everyone in the roster (Lana concurs, and massages Lashley’s muscles). You should be Universal Champion. Ever thought of that? Taking your game to the next step and claiming the biggest prize? Cause if you do, I’d be willing to help you along the way. Seriously, consider that (he leaves, Lashley is introspective, in the back we can see Shane talking with some superstars with a concerned look)

Viking Raiders vs Miz & Morrison

The match is fast paced, with the Vikings dominating operations. Morrison tries a moonsault bouncing off the ropes but Ivar caught him and slams him to the ground. He is left in a bad shape but is unable to perform the tag. Erik steps up and manhandles Morrison with a crossface then a powerful lariat. Morrison eventually escapes the pounding and tags Miz in, who balances things with some kicks and a baseball slide, but misses a frogsplash and is left at the hands of Ivar, who corners Miz, and delivers some smackdown powerful chops to his chest that reverberate throughout the arena. Maryse, seeing her husband in that contraption climbs the apron and grabs the arm of Ivar. The distraction is profited by Morrison who Springboards Erik from the apron. But suddenly.

Liv Morgan’s music plays. She enters, completely insane and goes right after Maryse, grabbing her hair and pounding her against the rail. Then throwing her to the steel steps. Everyone is confused, and Liv only shouts to Maryse “It was your fault! All your fault!”. No one knows what she means, but she her actions have stopped Maryse’s interference. The match resumes and Erik plows Morrison through the barricade outside, as Ivar applies a pop up powerslam to the concerned Miz. 1, 2, 3. The Viking Raiders advance. While they celebrate, Liv is already gone, therefore, commentators speculate, this interference had nothing to do with them. It was, perhaps personal between her and Maryse. But what?

Camera cuts to the back, RTruth, accompanied by NoWayJose taps on the door of the General Manager’s office. The door doesn’t happen, Kurt Angle shout from within “It’s stuck! I can’t open it”, RTruth then speaks his mind:

RTruth – Mr General Officer, Sir, it’s me, RTruth, here with JoseCanYouSee. It’s just to tell you that you that although I’m thankful for the opportunity you granted me for the American States Title, I really don’t want it. See, I came to SmackDown to come after my baby the 24/7, 7/11, European Hardcore Divas Championship, and last week I didn’t know who had it, but now I do, its them ButterFly Rum House folk. (faces the camera) And I’m coming for y’all!

Kurt Angle is displeased about RTruth pulling out of a match but his screams are unheard because RTruth is gone. Suddenly Shane knocks and announces himself. A very nervous Kurt says – with a trembling voice:

KA - It’s stuck, I can’t open it.

Shane – Come on Kurt, open it (tries to force the door, but it won’t budge).

KA – It really is stuck Mr. McMahon Junior. I can’t open it.

Shane – Is that so? Imma call a locksmith services, and meanwhile I’m not moving from this spot.

Kofi enters the locker room to speak with Big E.

Kofi – Hey, Biggie. Whatchu thinking, booking a singles match with Seth Rollins for the same night we have a crucial qualifying match that can get us the 8^th Tag Team Championship, and with that, getting us one step closer to tying with the Dudleys record.

Big E – I know, I know Kof’. But it’s not right what this Pariah is doing. I had to.

Kofi – Huh, so doin what’s right, being the superhero is more important than the team? Than winning with me, ya boy?

Big E – I can do both…

Kofi leaves before Big E can finish is response.

Actions resumes in the ring, Sasha Banks is already in the ring, as she had originally a title match against Lacey Evans. But the n.º1 contender is not here.

Sasha – So…..I guess I win this match by Lacey no-showing her frightened butt around here tonight. I hear she has a boo-boo and she recorded a video with her sorrows for all you schmucks out there to feel sorry for her (the video plays, Lacey Evans says she has given all of her to be there that night, but the injuries Asuka caused her could not be overcome in a week. She says that next week she might be there and she will see Sasha then)

Sasha – Oh, poor Sissy Southern Belle. She cannot be here…

(Kabuki Warriors music plays, they enter, doing their usual shenanigans talking in incomprehensible gibberish, but they seem to be gloating about having injured both Lacey Evans and Tamina. Suddenly Liv Morgan’s song is played and she bursts in)

Liv – I cannot let this pass. What you’re doing is wrong. You all. (Turns to Sasha) You just claimed the title without winning it on a fight like we’re supposed to. You just hog down all the spotlight with the Belt and the Suitcase. And you (turns to the KW) you just pop up on SmackDown and beat people up, at random

Asuka - あはは、それをどうするの？

Kairi – I thinka Asuka sayin “What you do about it?” (they both laugh hysterically)

Liv - I know people look at me and think I’m just a wimpy 5 feet gal, that used to run around with pink hair thinking she was some sort of Harley Quinn, but I have a lot of fight in me.

Sasha – So…. Imma head out. You can settle this between you guys. I’m not needed here. Plus I too have a boo-boo. I got hit with a sneaky Big Boot by that sneaky bitch Charlotte. But, hey, Liv, nice self pep rally speech. (Gives her an ironic thumbs up and leaves)

Kairi – I tink you need no trasration.

Asuka vs Liv Morgan

The match is quite fast paced, and Asuka is caught off guard by a fiery Liv. She has underrated her opponent and is getting a pounding, with a Liv Kick, a Sitout hip toss and a double stomp. Eventually Asuka manages to connect with a Double knee facebreaker, and goes for the ropes and hits a Flying cross armbar. After some time she applies the Asuka Lock. Liv, struggles with it for a very long time. Asuka is yelling at her to quit, so is Kairi on the apron, but she is clawing her way to the rope, spurred on by the crowd who appreciates her fighting spirit. Just as she is almost grabbing the rope, Kairi enters the ring and grabs the refs attentions, shouting something in Japanese, while grabbing the referee’s shirt. By then  Liv had already reached the rope, but the ref didn’t see it, and Asuka manages to drag the move away from the ropes. Liv is now in the Asuka Lock for some minutes now, and as no choice but to submit. Asuka wins, with a precious help by her partner. Liv Morgan lost, but she appears to have gained the crowd.

Camera cuts to the back, Elias is seen peeping through the keyhole of the GM’s office door.

Kurt Angle – It’s stuck. It’s stuck.

Elias – Hey. Mr. GM, it’s me, Elias. See I understand Rtruth has declined that US Title shot tonight creating a bit of a trouble into your programming. I want that title shot. Whatchu say?

KA – Well, I do have a match to complete, sure, sure, wait a moment. I’m re-typing the contract. In a minute I’ll ope…Actually, are you alone there? Who’s with you?

Elias – It’s me and Slater. Shane O’Mac is also nearby talking to some crew members.

KA – Oh, he’s still there, is he? Humf. In that case I’ll pass the contract under the door, sign it to make it official then slide it back in.

Corey – Welcome back to the ring, we’ve got a very special match for you right now. It’s the “Welcome to SmackDown Former Raw Superstars Match”. Bobby Lashley against Cedric Alexander, two of the hottest draft acquisitions of SmackDown Live.

MC – And we’re joined at commentary, Titus “The Titan” O’Neil, RTruth and his partner in Smyle Tyme, NoWayJose. Welcome gents.

on commentary:

RTruth – Yeah I’m here because some producers told me had had to, I dunno what’s going on here, who’s gonna fight, I’m just concentrating on getting my baby back (turns to the camera) Do Ballas! Mo Bulligan! I’ve gotten the directions to the HorseFly Gun Mouse! I’m coming to get you right after this.

Cedric Alexander vs Bobby Lashley (w/ Lana, D. Ziggler)

Bobby Lashley makes a stellar entry, with pyro, live band music, a welcome fitting a top superstar that in Kurt Angle’s mind he snatched off Raw. He is accompanied by his screeching wife Lana, and Dolph Ziggler also joins him. Cedric enters alone, to a much humbler entrance.

Before the match starts, Lana grabs a mic and shrieks that “Bobby will only fight if this match is a no DQ, because he is a mood not to win, but to hurt”. Cedric agrees.

The match being a no DQ, and Lashley having the help of Ziggler, it quickly, degenerates to a brutal pounding of Cedric. Lashley at times makes a cover, but lifts it by the count of two. He is really in a ‘hurting others’ mindset, and his playing mind games. This is not a match between Lashley and Alexander, but rather Bobby’s way to send a powerful message for the rest of the locker room.

After a while, the commentary is abhorred by the beating and are urging the referee to stop the match, but an half dead Cedric says he wishes to continue. NoWayJose says that is enough, he’s all up for a fun time, but this is the opposite of fun, he goes to the ring to intercede for Cedric. Ziggler connects with a zigzag and an incensed Lashley grabs Jose, lifts him on his shoulders and powerslams him on top of the ringpole, three times. RTruth went to save his friend, but Titus grabs him immediately by the commentary table, and poweslams him through the table. Lashleys applies a Full Nelson, that he calls the LashLock, to Cedric, and shakes him silly until he passes out. What a Mayhem that Lashley has brought upon the ring side, assisted by Ziggler and, surprisingly, Titus. After the match, Cedric appears to be recouping but NoWayJose is immobilized and filled with pain. He may be seriously injured. RTruth eventually drags himself to the ring to check on his partner, as medics are making their way to the ring.

After checking his partner in an ambulance, RTruth heads to the Firefly Fun house. He enters. He’s welcomed by a couple of over-excited nWo Cena and Brat Wyatt.

nJC (in a 90’s inflated tone) – Welcome brother! Welcome, RTruth. It’s too sweet you’re here!

BW – Yowie Wowie, John! It’s true. We’ve expecting you Truth. In fact, we at the FireFly Fun house are all for the Truth, as the Truth is a fundamental pillar of His teachings. You’d make a fine addition to His Altar of Sacrifices.

RT – John Cena? The John Cena? My hero John Cena? The Marine John Cena? What are doing in the CraneFly Shun House? Hey, I like that outfit, Very retro, very nineties. And what does nWo mean? Nuts With Oney?

Bray (faces the camera) – Now remember kids, Honey is with an H.

RTruth – Kids? Oh this is a kids show? Hi Kids!!! Remember, eat your prayers and say your vitamins! Anyway. Where’s my baby? Where’s Bo Texas?

BW – Oh he is right this way (holds the doorknob) Are you sure you wanna enter?

(Truth enters the door, the segment end right after that. What will happen to him in the “Beyond the Door”?)

MC – Welcome back, we have a very exciting match right now, in the ring already Elias, with “King” Slater by is corner, former US Champion Jeff Hardy joins us on commentary to provide extra in dept analysis on what this title means in Sports Entertainment.

on commentary:

Burn it down, followed by angelic music plays.

In comes The Liturgy, Seth, Murphy and AoP. Seth goes to the commentary table, AoP accompany US Champion Murphy to the ring.

Murphy (c) vs Elias

United States Title Match

Elias starts strongly and applies some lariats and big boots. Rezar has to pull Murphy off the ring to settle him. On commentary Seth plays it down, saying it’s only beginners’ luck by Elias. However when returned to the Ring, Murphy continues to be bashed by a motivated Elias. Seth leaves the table saying his Disciple needs some Guidance from the Messiah (he says we all do). Under Seth’s barking orders, Murphy controls the match with a plethora of grappling holds that wear Elias down. He then applies an inverted cravate, Corey says it’s called the Disciple’s Respite, to submit Elias.

King Corbin enters.

KC – Hey I don’t care about the match, or who is beating who, or who is winning, to me you’re all layman peasants, you can all rot in hell for all I care. I’m just here to get my crown back from that simpleton Slater.

All hell breaks loose. Although the distraction caused by Corbin helps Elias to escape the submission, the distraction ends up costing him, cause Slater eventually leaves his corner trying to keep “his” crown from Corbin. They end up doing a thug-of-war for the crown, on the process the referee is distracted trying to separate the pair, which gives the opportunity to The Liturgy just pound, 4-1, Elias. Jeff Hardy at commentary is strongly nauseated by this and decides to lend a helping hand to Elias, but it’s not enough. When the ref returns to the ring, Seth and the AoP leave it, and Murphy just has to deliver his Murphy’s law, 1, 2, 3. He retains.

Camera cut to the outside of the GM’s Office. Shane is on the phone with the locksmiths, apparently their running late. Suddenly Drake Maverick passes by. Shane hangs up the call, and runs after him, yelling “hey, you!! Yeah You, hold on, we still have to talk about that abrupt end to 205 Live!”. Drake just bolts out.

From within the office Kurt asks Jack Gallagher if Shane is still there. When the UKIP member says he ran after his partner, Kurt Angles just opens the door and runs for his life with a couple suitcases full of paperwork.

on commentary:

MC – Well. I guess the inspection won’t happen tonight. But what will happen tonight is this main event, for a spot in the Main event in Backlash in a few weeks. Roman Reigns, on his first match since being back on SmackDown, Sheamus and Goldberg.

Corey - And whoever wins will have a shot on the Universal Championship currently held by our guest on this commentary table, Braun Strowman.

MC – Braun, what’s your reaction to the claim by Sheamus that he should be Champ right now? Do you think he was screwed at Money in the Bank?

BS – He can blubber his mouth all he wants. He still lost when it counted.

Corey – Yeah, but he did pin you before the contract signing fiasco.

BS – He cheated that time! He used an unauthorized weapon (Corey asks “The Mask?”) Yeah, that god forsaken mask. It was a ruse. The only way he could beat anyone is by using external influences.

MC – Speaking of which, whatever happened to that Black Sheep mask? Did Sheamus keep it?

BS – I don’t think so, cause after the match the cleaning crew did not find it. So maybe a fan took it home as a souvenir, or a crew member or something. So even if Sheamus wins today, he wont be able to use that weapon on the title match, so he’ll be squashed.

Corey – But it could be Sheamus’ that kept it (Braun stays silent, as Goldberg makes his entrance)

Goldberg vs Sheamus vs Roman Reigns

The crowd are supporting Roman Reigns, but he manifests some ring rust, after a couple months without matches. He misses a spear and drives himself into the ring post. He may be out. Sheamus appears to be more concentrated in exchanging words with Braun than in the match itself and tis time falls the victim of a Spear from Goldberg, who taunts Roman “That’s how you spear a poor sod, Big Puppy!”.

Goldberg dominates for some time, attempting some pins, but his opponent escapes every time. Roman returns to action, a bit defensive of his left arm, form that spot earlier, but manages to put up a goof fight. Hits Goldberg with a superman punch, covers, 1, 2, Sheamus interrupts the count, then applies an European Uppercut gaining traction and hits Reigns with a Brogue kick. This is it, 1, 2, oh, Goldberg interrupts.

However, as the match progresses, Goldberg begins to be winded, slowing is pace and falling prey to the much younger Sheamus and Roman. Eventually he escapes the ring to recompose himself by the table, exchanging some words with Strowman. It’s unclear what their saying to each other, but Strowman appears to be telling Goldberg that he is no longer able to put up with two opponents at once. Strowman offers to demonstrate, and goes to the ring, as he is entering he grabs Sheamus’ head, pulls him down and Sheamus throat hits hard on the rope. Roman tries the Superman punch, but is caught by Strowman middair, who connects with a Running PowerSlam. He exists the stage boastful, as if defying Goldberg to repeat the feat. Goldberg however, doesn’t have to. He simply enters the ring, covers Roman Reigns, 1, 2, 3! Goldberg has won. With a surprising help by the Champion. But why?

Epá, os jobbers é para dar alguma montra a todos os wrestlers mais ou menos. e neste programa mais especialmente pq é o programa de estreia prática da malta que veio do Raw, Ou seja, não podia draftar ua data de gente e no programa de estreia deles, eles nem apareciam. Só o Eric Young ainda não apareceu. 

Sim, vou seguir a historia abandonada da Lana com a liv, e vou meter a maryse ao miolo. Vai ser a maryse que foi responsável (pelo menos a Liv assim o acha) pela sua relação não ter andado. é uma maneira de as integrar numa storyline que não sejam só de vallet (não gosto nada dessa coisa datada de as mulheres serem vallets. Ou andam à bulha, ou saiam de cena).

Vic Joseph: Good night ladies and gentleman, and welcome to Monday Night Raw. We’re live from Allstate Arena in Rosemont, Illinois and we have a great show planned for you. 

Aiden English: That’s right, we have two matches of the tournament to determine the 1# contender for Sami Zayn’s Intercontinental title, it will be Shelton Benjamin vs Apollo Crews and Aleister Black vs Shinsuke Nakamura. Not only that, we have a 4-corners tag team championship match, where the Street Profits will defend their titles against the Undisputed Era members Bobby Fish and Kyle O’Reilly, Heavy Machinery and the team of Curt Hawkins and Zack Ryder. 

Byron Saxton: I can’t wait, but we have more than matches. Tonight we’ll see Edge for the first time since Wrestlemania, and I wonder what he’s going to say. And also, Stephanie and Shane McMahon are tonight with us to decide if the Big Show will remain as Raw’s General Manager.

Shane: So let me get this straight, we’re here to decide if you’ll still have a job after tonight, and you think it’s a good idea to interrupt while I’m announced? You know I’m your boss, right? 

Big Show: As long as I’m the General Manager, I’ll do my job the best I know, and here on Monday nights, the show is about the talent, not management, that’s on Fridays. So I don’t want to waste too much time on this, if you want to fire me do it now, if not, let’s get out of the ring because I have a show to run and I’d like to start it with a match. 

Stephanie: Calm down gentleman, no one said anything about firing anyone. Me and Shane will be with you during tonight’s show, to see how you handle yourself during the show, and at the end of the night we’ll communicate our decision. 

Theme do Sami Zayn 

Sami vem até ao ringue acompanhado por Cesaro e Nakamura. 

Sami: Stephanie, Shane, I know we had our issues in the past, but allow me to give you my opinion as your Intercontinental Champion. We don’t need authority figures around here, it’s a waste of time and in this case, a huge waste of space. Just let us, the artists, do our jobs and everything will be fine. And if you really need someone to put some order on this show, you can always come to me, The Great Liberator, and I shall do... what’s best for business. 

Shane: That’s a very interesting suggestion Sami, we will certainly take it into consideration. 

Sami: Of course you will, soon this group will hold both the Intercontinental and the WWE title, as Cesaro is on his way to become the new WWE Champion. 

Shane: Actually Sami, something intrigues me, what if Nakamura wins this tournament? You’ll have to face each other at Battleground, won’t that break up your group? 

Sami: Shane, if you were someone else I’d ask you how dare you to question our friendship and loyalty. But there’s no need to get upset, I’ll explain it calmly and slowly so even our General Manager can understand it. Nakamura and I are artists, so WHEN, not if, when Nakamura wins this tournament, we will make beautiful art together at Battleground, and we’re gonna have the best match this company has ever seen. 

Big Show: It’s funny that you’re talking about the tournament, because your match is next Nakamura. And since you’re such an artist according to the words of Sami, and since I’m still the General Manager and I make the decisions around here, I’m sure you won’t mind to face Aleister Black while Sami and Cesaro are banned from ringside. 

Sami e Cesaro protestam, mas são obrigados a abandonar o ringue e a retirarem-se para o backstage. Mas enquanto se afastam, Big Show volta a pegar no microfone. 

Big Show: Wait, Cesaro. Since you’re here, we can do this already. I have the papers for your WWE title match against Drew McIntyre next week, you can come to the ringue and sign them right now. 

Cesaro volta ao ringue, Big Show dá-lhe os papéis e ele assina. Ele pede um microfone para dizer algumas palavras. 

Cesaro: For those who think that I’m just gonna be one more challenge for Drew and that he will beat me easily and move on to the next challenge, let me just remind you who I am. I am Cesaro, pound for pound the strongest wrestler in WWE, my athletic hability has no match in that locker room and I can count with the support of my fellow colleagues Sami Zayn and Shinsuke Nakamura. Drew McIntyre is strong, but I’m stronger. Drew McIntyre is a great athlete, but I’m better. Drew McIntyre will be alone next week, but I won’t. So again, let me remind you who I am. Drew vem até ao ringue bastante sorridente e pede também um microfone. 

Drew: Cesaro, Cesaro, Cesaro... You are everything you said, you’re strong, you’re talented and you have some friends willing to do the dirty work for you if necessary. But I’m pretty confident of my chances next week, because unlike so many others did, I will not overlook you. I know exactly what you’re capable to do in this ringue, and I will not take it easy on you, I will bring my A-game, I’m gonna take your ass to Claymore country and I’m gonna kick you right in the face and when that bell rings I will still be the WWE champion. 

Drew assina o contrato. 

Theme do Samoa Joe 

O Mr. Money in the Bank fica-se pela rampa e também tem algo a dizer. 

Samoa Joe: You two are forgetting something really important. (levanta a mala) You always have to consider me, because maybe neither of you will walk out of that match as WWE Champion. Let me give you something to think about, Cesaro, last week we had a great match, and you won, but did you beat me? Did you pinned me 1,2,3? Or did I tap out? And what if I tap out just to make sure that Drew is on that ringue, having a really physical match while I’m comfortably watching, and just waiting for the right moment to cash in this contract and become the new WWE Champion? 

Samoa Joe deixa cair o microfone e vai se embora. No ringue vemos Drew e Cesaro a olhar um para o outro, e nota-se alguma preocupação na cara deles. 

Big Show: Alright everyone, let’s all just leave the ringue and let this show get started with our first match of the night. 

 

Shinsuke Nakamura vs Aleister Black

Começa o combate entre dois strikers fortíssimos. Nakamura começa o combate a tentar acertar pontapés nas pernas, enquanto que Aleister aponta mais acima, mas nenhum deles consegue realmente acertar, até que Nakamura aponta mais acima e tenta o roundhouse kick mas Aleister baixa-se e varre-o com o leg sweep. O combate segue sempre bastante equilibrado, e como eles têm estilos tão parecidos, durante a maior parte das vezes conseguem evitar os golpes um do outro. Eventualmente Nakamura consegue acertar um kitchen sink, seguido de um double foot stomp e tenta o pin, mas Aleister safa-se. Nakamura prende então o dragon sleeper, tentando adormecer Aleister, mas este vai resistindo, e após alguns segundos começa a tentar libertar-se, acerta dois pontapés em Nakamura que o liberta, e em seguida prende ele o crucifix. Nakamura vai de costas até ao canto para fazer Aleister chocar contra a turnbuckle e obrigá-lo a soltar a manobra. Os dois ficam no chão e o combate segue por mais alguns minutos. Quando Nakamura tenta acertar um chest kick, Aleister consegue apanhar lhe a perna e contra-atacar com um leg sweep, e imediatamente vai para um single leg basement dropkick. Com Nakamura no chão, Aleister coloca o pé por baixo da cara dele, e lentamente vai-o levantando, quando Nakamura já está de pé mas sem grande noção de onde está... Black Mass, 1,2,3 Aleister Black vence e avança no torneio. 

 

Vic Joseph: What a great match this was. Aleister Black advances in the tournament, we will face the winner of the match between Rey Mysterio and Roderick Strong. 

Aiden English: And look who’s gonna be back next week... 

Byron Saxton: That’s gonna be great guys, and I’m sure Kevin Owens wants to find out who attacked him and costed him his spot at the Money in the Bank Ladder Match. But that’s next week, look who’s back now... 

Theme do Edge 

Edge: Wow guys it is great to be back. After so many years of forced retirement, thinking I could never step foot in this ringue again, it was amazing to come back at Royal Rumble, but it was disappointing that my first one on one match at Wrestlemania was done in front of an empty crowd. I missed the noise, the chants, the boos, your reactions to everything that happens inside the ringue. After Wrestlemania I had to take a few weeks off, my body doesn’t heal the same way anymore, and two weeks ago I was home, feeling better, and I watched Money in the Bank... It would be unfair from me to come back after so many years and just demand to have title shots, that’s not what I’m here for this time. I’m here because for the remaining time I have in my career, I want to share this ringue with the best of the best, with wrestlers that blow my mind and your minds away, I want to have the best possible matches and I want to help a new generations of wrestlers to achieve the same level I did. So like I was saying, I watched Money in the Bank, and it was incredible, and there was one person that did blew my mind away, and I said to myself “I have to fight this guy”. And you ask, who is that guy?... At Battleground, I want to fight... Ricochet.

Ricochet vem até ao ringue. 

Ricochet: I wasn’t even supposed to be at Money in the Bank, and not only I was there but now I have one of the greatest of all time challenging me thanks to my performance at that match? Man I could not say this any other way, it will be an absolute pleasure to share this ringue with you. I accept yor challenge. 

Os dois apertam as mãos.

Os 4 membros caminham até ao ringue, e sobem à apron, não chegando a entrar mesmo no ringue. Edge e Ricochet olham para eles desconfiados. 

Adam Cole: Let me get this straight, Edge. You say you want to fight the best of the best, and you choose to fight Ricochet? What is this now, charity work? Make-a-wish foundation? What prevents me to get in the ringue and beat the crap out of you two so badly that you can’t make it to Battleground? 

Edge: Absolutely nothing, c’mon! 

Adam Cole: No, don’t worry, I’ll see you down the road, and sooner or later, trust me, we will fight, and this time you’re gonna have to stay retired for good. 

Ricochet: Maybe you just don’t have the balls to do it. 

Kyle O’Reilly: Watch your mouth kid, those jokes may cost you. 

O segmento termina com a Undisputed Era a abandonar a área.  

No ecrã mostram um vídeo do show da semana passada, quando os Singh Brothers atacaram Chad Gable. 

 

Chad Gable vs Singh Brothers

Gable começa um combate com Sunil Singh, que vai virado a ele apenas para ser apanhado num back body drop. Gable agarra em Sunil e aplica o northern lights suplex, que o atira para o canto. Samir faz o tag, tenta uma clothesline mas Gable reverte para um judo throw, e segue com um snap knee drop. Gable levanta Samir para um DDT, mas Sunil entra em ringue, Gable dá lhe um pontapé e acaba por aplicar um double DDT. Jinder sobe à apron para tentar distrair Gable, mas este agarra em Sunil e atira-o contra Jinder, fazendo ambos cair para fora do ringue, Gable prende o ankle lock em Samir que desiste imediatamente. 

 

Termina o combate e Gable festeja, mas Jinder entra no ringue e ataca-o pelas costas. Jinder pontapeia-o algumas vezes e agarra nele para aplicar o Khallas, mas Gable consegue reverter e aplica um overhead belly to belly que o faz sair do ringue. Jinder e os Singh Brothers acabam por se afastar, enquanto Gable celebra a vitória.

Vic Joseph: Welcome back ladies and gentleman, it is time for a Women’s Division match. 

Peyton Royce vs Sarah Logan

Sarah Logan começa o combate ao ataque, atirando Peyton contra as cordas e acertando um headbutt. Logan vai tendo o combate sob controlo, com o olhar atento de Ruby Riott e Billie Kay no ringside. Logan também vai gritando para Peyton “We’re the best duo on Raw”, o que irrita Peyton, que consegue escapar de uma clothesline para correr para às cordas e na volta acertar um running knee strike. Peyton encosta Logan a um canto, e aplica o corner foot choke, seguido de um bulldog. Peyton tenta o pin mas Logan safa-se ao 2. O combate segue por mais algum tempo, Logan consegue acertar um snap northern lights suplex, que faz Peyton Royce rebolar para fora do ringue, onde Ruby Riott a ameaça, o que faz com que Billie Kay lá vá e gera-se uma grande tensão entre as duas, obrigando o árbitro a mandá-las afastarem-se, enquanto Peyton regressa ao ringue. Aí Logan tenta agarrar nela, mas Peyton reverte e consegue um roll up, 1,2... Logan escapa-se, mas imediatamente Peyton acerta um knee strike na cara de Logan, pega nela, aplica o venus fly trap, 1,2...3. Peyton Royce consegue a vitória. Billie Kay regozija-se de alegria, enquanto Ruby Riott está bastante frustrada. 

 

Sarah Logan e Ruby Riott abandonam logo o ringside, Peyton Royce e Billie Kay festejam por um bocado, e depois também sobem a rampa. 

 

Theme da Bayley 

Aiden English: Bayley is here, we’ve been waiting for her for two weeks. 

Bayley aparece com uma gear vermelha e branca, em vez da que usava no SmackDown. Na rampa pára em frente a Peyton e Billie, e dá um encosto de ombro nesta última antes de seguir para o ringue. 

Bayley: Right now all the world should be using the hashtag #justiceforbayley. I was brought here from SmackDown and forced to drop my title and leave it there, so why didn’t I got a title match already? Better yet, why wasn’t I handed the Raw Women’s title, when I clearly am the rightful champion? 

Theme da Naomi 

Naomi: Wow girl hold on, you can’t just come here and demand to have everything handed to you just like that. I’m coming from SmackDown too, and I’m also coming for the Raw Women’s title, but I want to earn my opportunity. 

Bayley: The difference is that I had to drop my title, I never lost it, so it’s only fair that I can continue as champion here on Raw. 

Naomi: Fair? Bitch what do you know about being fair? You just handed your title to Sasha at SmackDown, I don’t think that’s how things work here. The past doesn’t matter, this is a new beggining for both of us so we both start at the same place, let’s see who can get to that title first. 

Bayley: Who are you calling bitch, bitch? 

As coisas aquecem no ringue, com ambas a aproximarem-se uma da outra e parece que vai descambar. 

Theme da Shayna Baszler 

Shayna: Both you bitches need to shut the hell up. Bayley you’re not entitled to anything here, and you can’t come in here thinking that you can just jump the line and get a title shot ignoring those who were already here. And Naomi, ever since I saw you were coming to Raw, I’ve been dying to kick your ass. So both of you listen and pay attention, none of you is getting a title match, because you just can’t beat me first. 

No ecrã aparece o General Manager Big Show. 

Big Show: Ladies you know how I manage this kind of things, you clearly want to fight so I already sent a referee to the ringue. You three get ready because you’re gonna have a Triple Threat match right now. 

 

Bayley vs Naomi vs Shayna Baszler

Começa o combate, durante uns segundos ninguém ataca ninguém, estão à espera que alguém tome a iniciativa, e Bayley começa com o trash talk “you know I’m right, I deserve to be champion, #JUSTICEFORBAYLEY”, isto faz com que Shayna e Naomi decidam atacá-la em conjunto para a calar, atirando-a para fora do ringue. Shayna e Naomi continuam o combate no ringue por alguns minutos até Bayley voltar ao ringue. Bayley aplica um back suplex em Naomi, e tenta atacar Shayna mas esta reverte com alguns shoot kicks, e em seguida com o twisted arm stomp. Shayna quer continuar o ataque a Bayley mas Naomi regressa e apanha-a com um split legged jawbreaker, Naomi tenta o pin mas Shayna safa-se ao 2. Segue o combate com Naomi no controlo sobre Bayley após um running hurricanrana. Com Shayna fora do ringue após sofrer um double suplex por parte de Bayley e Naomi, estas duas continuam a luta no ringue, mas quando Shayna regressa, apanha Bayley por trás e empurra-a na direção de Naomi, que aplica o rear view, e Shayna imediatamente aproxima-se por trás de Naomi e prende o kirifuda driver, Naomi resiste por um bocado mas acaba por ter que desistir. Shayna Baszler consegue uma grande vitória sobre as duas recém-chegadas ao Raw. 

 

Passamos ao escritório de Big Show, que está acompanhado por Shane e Stephanie McMahon. 

Stephanie: I have to say, I think you handled that situation really well, the WWE Universe certainly liked that match, but you should protect Bayley. Management loves her because she means a lot of money, and she should be in line for a title match. 

Big Show: Bayley is very good, but she’s certainly not getting a title shot just because that’s what management wants. She has to earn it. I don’t give preferential treatment to anyone. 

Shane: But you should, as General Manager you should protect your best talent and do what’s best for business. And also you should not waste time with those that don’t deserve it, for example I don’t think anyone cares that Kevin Owens will return next week, why advertise it? He’s not that big of a deal. 

Big Show: Listen Shane... (é interrompido) 

Shane: Shane? You call me boss. I think you have an issue with hierarchy and the proper way to address your superiors. And speaking of that, Big Show is not a suitable name for a General Manager, that was your name as a performer. For now on, IF you continue as General Manager, you will use your real name, Paul Wight. 

Os dois ficam cara a cara, e a tensão é óbvia na cara do General Manager, estaremos próximos de o ver a ser despedido?

 

Voltamos ao ringue para mais um combate do torneio que vai apurar o adversário de Sami Zayn no Battleground. 

Apollo Crews vs Shelton Benjamin 

vs

Dois wrestlers com estilos bastante semelhantes, começam o combate a tentar ganhar o controlo um sobre o outro mas sem conseguir. Eventualmente Shelton consegue um samoan drop, tenta logo o pin mas sem sucesso. O combate segue, Shelton consegue acertar um superkick que atira Crews às cordas, e na volta Shelton apanha-o com um spinbuster, mais um pin mas Crews volta-se a safar. Passado um bocado é Crews que consegue uma boa sequência de golpes, com um bycicle kick que encosta Shelton a um canto, Crews aplica um corner splash e completa com um devayed verticle suplex, 1,2... Shelton escapa. Segue o combate por mais alguns minutos, até que Crews tenta uma jumping clothesline, mas Shelton consegue agarrar lhe o braço e tenta aplicar o cobra clutch backbreaker, Crews também consegue reverter e tenta um suplex, mas Shelton volta a reverter e consegue um roll up, 1,2... Shelton apoia-se nas cordas...3, Shelton Benjamin segue em frente no torneio. 

 

Vic Joseph: Not a clean victory for Shelton Benjamin, but he moves on to the next round, and he’s gonna face Daniel Bryan. Let’s see how the tournament is looking like after three matches. 

 

Intervalo 

 

Vemos Shelton Benjamin a caminhar no backstage, em direção aos balneários, e Apollo Crews a correr atrás dele. 

Apollo: Hey, hey Shelton, what the hell was that? You have so many years of experience and you can’t win a match clean? 

Shelton: Listen kid, if there’s one thing that experience teaches you is to take advantage of the opportunities. It doesn’t matter how I beat you, if at Battleground I beat Sami Zayn and become the new Intercontinental champion, my bank account will get larger and the fact that my foot was on the rope tonight won’t mean anything. You know, when I look at you I see a lot of myself, you have the talent and the athletic hability, but you never won any championship here, maybe you have to stop playing so clean all the time, and start to do whatever it takes to take your career to the next level. Think about it, kid. 

Shelton continua em direção aos balneários, e Apollo fica a abanar a cabeça, mas pensativo. 

 

Vic Joseph: And it’s time for the 4-corners tag team championship match. Four teams will fight, two men will be legal and the first team to get the pin or make someone tap out will be the winner.

Montez Ford começa o combate com Bobby Fish. É um combate de ritmo muito alto, com vários tags o que leva a que haja várias combinações de homens legais em ringue ao longo de cerca de 15 minutos. Tentativas de pin neste combate são logo quebradas, tendo em conta a quantidade de wrestlers que estão sempre a entrar em ringue. Com Otis e Kyle O’Reilly legais, Tucker faz o tag com Otis e aplicam o Compactor, Bobby Fish rapidamente entra em ringue para impedir o pin. Pouco depois Angelo Dawkins faz o tag com O’Reily, e entra no ringue com tudo, atirando Tucker para fora do ringue, quando este está a sair Bobby Fish faz o tag, entra no ringue e arruma com Angelo Dawkins. Tag de Otis que vai virado a Bobby Fish e o derruba, aplicando depois o Caterpilar, tag de Montez em Otis, sobe ao canto e aplica o frog splash em Bobby Fish. Montez e Otis discutem no ringue, Montez e Fish estão legais. Hawkins e Ryder entram em ringue e aplicam um double dropkick nas costas de Otis, fazendo-o ir contra Montez Ford e sair do ringue, eles puxam Montez para o seu canto e Hawkins faz o tag, ficando legal com Fish. Depois de um caterpilar e um frog splash, Bobby Fish ainda não está recuperado, Hawkins vai para o pin, 1,2... Bobby Fish escapa-se. Hawkins agarra em Fish e atira-o contra o poste no seu canto, e Zack Ryder faz o tag com... Bobby Fish. Hawkins e Ryder estão os dois legais, olham em volta e todos os seus adversários estão no chão. Eles olham um para o outro, Hawkins deita-se e Ryder faz o pin. Os comentadores perguntam o que se está a passar, mas o árbitro faz a contagem, 1,2,3. Hawkins e Ryder ganham (mas também perdem?) o combate. O árbitro fala com o ringue announcer, e traz os títulos para o ringue, entregando-os a Hawkins e Ryder enquanto são anunciados como os novos Raw Tag Team Champions. 

 

O público e as outras equipas estão confusas, mas o que é certo é que Hawkins e Ryder são mesmo os novos campeões. Apesar de reprovável, o self-pin é uma forma perfeitamente legal de ganhar este combate, foi Zack Ryder a fazer o pin vencedor, portanto a sua equipa é a nova campeã de duplas. Os novos campeões festejam efusivamente, enquanto as outras equipas não acreditam no que acabou de acontecer. 

 

Byron Saxton: Guys, that isn’t the right way to win. 

Aiden English: It doesn’t matter Byron, it’s legal. Hawkins and Ryder were really smart, and thanks to that they’re the new Raw Tag Team Champions, congratulations to them. 

 

Theme do Paul Wight (Big Show) 

Vic Joseph: And now it’s time to find out if the Big Show, or as we have to call him now due to orders given from Shane McMahon, Paul Wight, will continue in the position of General Manager of Monday Night Raw. 

Já no ringue, Paul Wight começa a falar. 

Paul Wight: I don’t want to take too much time, because tonight I’ve already occupied too much TV time, and something that I’m proud of during my time as General Manager, is that the shows were always about the performers. I don’t know what is the decision of Stephanie and Shane, but I just wanted to come out here and tell you all that it was a pleasure to run this show for the last nearly two months, and I want to thank Vince for the invitation, and thank all of you for watching and for the positive feedback, and thank to everyone in the back, the production crew and the wrestlers, because they’re the ones who really make the show what it is, and they give their best every night to entertain you.

Os irmãos McMahon vêm até ao ringue. 

Shane: Listen Paul, there is no doubt that you’ve been doing a good job, the ratings are good, the locker room morale is high, the merch sales are high as well and the feedback from the WWE Universe is positive. However, we had to come here and check, because Monday Night Raw is the flagship show of WWE, and in my opinion, it should always be controlled by a McMahon. Some bad things happened this last two months too, let’s not forget that you had four performers attacking Samoa Joe and running him over with a car, you had someone messing with the production during a match at Money in the Bank and you have no idea who did it, also at Money in the Bank there was that situation with Kurt Angle... and also Kevin Owens was knocked out and you still don’t know who was the attacker. 

Stephanie: And we had to consider all this things Paul, and make a decision that may not be what everyone wants, because we can’t always please everyone, but it’s a decision based on what is... best for business.

Drew: Before you say what I think you’ll say, you have to listen to us, because we’re the ones who sacrifice our bodies for this company, and our opinion counts. That man in the ringue is the best General Manager that Raw had in years. He puts the spotlight on us, where it should be. He books shows that all these fans enjoy (o público aplaude) He gives opportunities to everyone, because all of us work really hard, and sometimes all we need is one chance to make an impact, and that man provides those opportunities. Isn’t that right, EC3? What about the IIconics, Sarah Logan, Ruby Riott, Curt Hawkins, Zack Ryder, Shelton Benjamin, RIcochet...? So much talent that was being wasted but now, thanks to that man, they have a voice, they’re relevant and they can be on TV doing what they do best. 

Becky Lynch: That’s right. Paul, if that’s how we have to call him now, is making sure that we have sold out arenas everywhere we go. He’s making sure that the locker room is happy. He’s making sure that Monday Night Raw is a good place to work. Like you said Shane, the ratings are good, because people actually turn on the TV to watch Monday Night Raw, because Paul makes it about what the fans want to see. Let Paul continue to do his job as he has been doing, otherwise WWE will just continue to push fans to watch AEW instead of watching us. 

Stephanie: Alright Becky that was a little too far. 

Becky: No it wasn’t too far, it was the truth. Monday Night Raw is the best wrestling show thanks to that man, so don’t you dare to fire him just to have a McMahon running this again and making the entire show about themselves as always, or I promise you that when it’s time to renegotiate my contract, fans won’t be the only ones leaving to a different company. 

Stephanie diz algo ao ouvido de Shane, e os dois conversam por um pouco, até que Stephanie volta a agarrar no microfone. 

Stephanie: Ok you made your point, if everyone likes Paul so much, me and Shane won’t be the ones ruining eveyone’s party. So let’s leave it up to the WWE Universe to decide. Do you want Paul Wight to continue to be Raw’s General Manager? 

A crowd começa a gritar “YES,YES,YES,YES” encorajados por Daniel Bryan e todo o roster que fazem o gesto de yes com os braços. 

Stephanie: Then congratulations Paul, the job is still yours. 

Stephanie e Shane apertam a mão a Paul Wight que se mantém como General Manager, e abandonam o ringue. O roster dirige-se ao ringue e o programa acaba com todos em ambiente de festa.

As regras no wrestling mudam sempre conforme dê mais jeito. 

Fiquei com a ideia de um combate em que estive a ver há umas semanas em que os New Day também tentaram ganhar com um self pin

Não sei que combate foi esse mas acho estupido.

Se é um tag team match só um deles pode tar legal, não podem ser os dois, a partir do momento em que um tá o outro não pode tar. E se um faz o pin e o outro sofre porque é que conta como vitória e não como derrota?

Agora não estou a encontrar, mas penso que até foi num PPV, nos próximos programas vai haver quem faça a mesma pergunta que tu. De facto eles também perderam, mas a regra era que o primeiro a conseguir o pin seria o vencedor, portanto eles venceram os títulos e levaram uma grande assobiadela, sendo a sua vitória rejeitada pelo público, que era o objetivo deste combate.

Agora a sério, do que eu me lembro houve um combate aqui há umas semanas num SD em que os Lucha HP estiveram os dois legais ao mesmo tempo. Estava um deles legal, e o outro tagou no Miz (creio) e entrou. Foi um pormenor do combate. Agora não sei se aconteceu por botch ou porque de facto não viola as regras.

Seja como for, pode parecer parvo mas é para desenvolver uma storyline, por isso eu acolho. O Ruas é menos tolerante com as shenanigans, já sabemos, mas eu estou sempre disponivel, eeheh.

Ah gostei muito das promos do Sami (é u prazer escrever as promos dele né?) e do Cole. E estou curioso com o angle a surgir entre o Shelton e o Apolo. Eu apostaria numa parceria entre os dois.
