The show starts with a load of pyro, with Tennessee’s own, TINA TURNER performing a couple of songs.

Kurt Angle enters, a large boo is heard, he addresses a podium, a large curtain drops behind him, with the following picture printed in it.

K. Angle - Welcome to Friday Night SmackDown, live on Fox, tonight a very special Red White & Blue Show, on the eve of our country’s day, and, because this is the first - and hopefully not the last – three-hour show, it’ll extend to the 4^th of July! Fittingly, this will be a show filled with music, pyro, great wrestling and patriotism! And we start now, with the mixed tag team match between the Miz, Maryse and…

Elias and Slater enter, interrupting the GM. Elias perform some tunes in his guitar, Heath Slater accompanies him, with is Air Guitar. After a while, Kurt Angle angrily asks them what they want.

Elias – Well, I resent being so rudely interrupted when I’m performing in front of this awesome crowd (Kurt retorts “You’ve interrupted me!”), but since you did, myself and Slater want you to vacate the tag titles since Bray Wyatt was injured by Ivar and is unable to defend them.

(Carlito and his familia enter. He is chomping on an apple as usual)

Carlito – Whoa, whoa, hold on amigo (chomp, chomp), we are in favor of that idea, but if you guys (chomp. chomp) are saying that the tag titles should be vacated and then given to you, I must object.

K. Angle – Time out! I know the drill, now every tag team in this roster will interrupt the show, parading down this ramp and staking their claim to the titles. So to impede such an occurrence let me just tell you that I won’t vacate the titles. I’ve received no official medical info on Bray Wyatt’s condition. So officially he is not injured, as such…

Elias – You’ve received no info, because no doctor is willing to enter the Fire Fly Fun House to perform an exam..

K. Angle -… As such, the titles are still validly held by the I.R.S.

Carlito – Kurt, Kurt, it’s me, Carlito, you can be honest with me. You only don’t vacate the titles because you’re too afraid to go to the Fire Fly Fun House yourself to retake the titles.

K. Angle (visibly embarrassed) – Huh? What? No! Erm… I mean. Well

Punk – I was thinking of confronting you later, but I just pulled in and heard you were on the stage and, seeing you have a reputation for being, let’s say, elusive, I thought now it would be the time to confront you about that crap three weeks ago.

Carlito – Punk..Erm, Phill, erm…CM… it was mere coincidence, man. I had no idea it was you out there! How could I? I was just trying to blame someone for the ap… (looks at Kurt Angle’s inquisitive face), I mean, I was trying to find out who was it who threw the apple, and I thought it was someone from that general area of the stands. It was plain bad luck that I ended up picking you. But what were you doing there? Are you back?

K. Angle – Well, I can confirm CM Punk has not signed a contract with WWE, so I guess the answer is no. Unless, Punk, you want to officialize things right now on this Red White and Blue Show! (the crowd cheers, getting excited at the prospect: Kurt revels on this positive reaction by the crowd)

Punk – Bitch, please! Sing a contract? With you? So you can pull one over me like you did with the McMahon’s contract? No, thanks. Although, I have to congratulate you on that. Every an that makes old Vince’s veins pop has my admiration.

(Kurt Angle rejoices at the first compliment he’s received since taking office)

Punk – No, I’m not back! Nor will I. I’ve been telling the world for 6 years, but somehow the world clings on to a stupid hope. Listen to me, all of you; I AM RETIRED! I WILL NOT RETURN TO THE WWE. I’M NOT YOUR HERO NOR YOUR SAVIOUR. I am only contracted to FOX, and I was in the crowd, as I usually am taking notes for my critiques at WWE Backstage, and that’s it. I can even tell you, that there’s NO CHANCE IN HELL!

The Miz’s theme song plays, he enters with Maryse.

Miz – Stop, just stop! (CM Punk exclaims “Oh boy, here comes the Reality TV star, turned wrestler”) Ah ah, very funny, Punk! If you aren’t back at the WWE, nor want to, whattahell are you doing on my ring? On the slot I was supposed to have a match on? Get out. Now. Unlike you, there’s some guys that want to be here, that give their lives to the WWE, and these – ungrateful – fans, and have put the work, day in, day out. So if you’re not even a WWE employee, then you should just be evicted from the premises.

CM Punk kicks the Miz in the guts, then performs, for the first time in six years, the Go To Sleep. The crowd is effusive, The Miz lays in the ring, knocked out, CM Punk gets out, Kurt Angle is seen laughing at the situation.

M. Cole – And we’re back, for our first match of the evening, the Miz has been revived and is ready for his mixed tag match with his wife, against Gargano and his wife.

Corey – Yeah, but what just happened out there in the ring is a disgrace. A stranger to the WWE entered the ring and attacked a WWE Superstar! Who even allows him to be in the ring?

M. Cole – Corey, come one, it’s CM Punk!! Who’s gonna bar him?

The Miz & Maryse vs Johnny Gargano & Candice

Miz and Gargano start. They have a few tests of strength. Last week’s match was really close, so the competitors seem to be sizing each other up. After a few inconsequential moves by both, they tag their wives in, who look way more pumped. They are, as they clash and bash each other, Maryse shove Candice to a corner and does a handspring back hip attack. She then delivers some Miz Kicks, then suplexes Candice into the center od the ring, cover, 1,2 Candice escapes.

Candice gets frustrated at her performance, and shoves Maryse into the corner and performs her Violence Party, then a single knee facebreaker. Finishes with a step up senton. Goes for the cover, 1,2, Miz intercedes. Gargano is furious and protests with the ref. The official calms things down and the match restarts, with Miz and Gargano tagging in again.

Gargano performs a Thesz Press and a Running dropkick, then a slingshot DDT. Goes for the cover, Miz kicks out at 2. Gargano continues his attack, with 3 consecutive SuperKicks. He then drags Miz to the center of the ring and applies the Gargano Escape. Miz is ready to tap out, so Maryse climbs to the top rope and goes for a crossbody on Gargano, interrupting the hold. Candice, enraged, drags Maryse to the outside, pushes her into the barricade, then into the steel steps. Climbs the tope rope to perform some flying attack on Maryse, but Miz pulls the ropes, Candice falls catastrophically into the steel steps.

Gargano is angry, he grabs a hold of Miz, and performs a middle rope diving flat liner, then a roll up kick, and applies the Gargano Escape again. Miz holds for a minute or so, then has no chance but to tap out.

M. Cole - And we’re back. We have a non-title match between the Women’s tag team champions and Jessamyne Duke & Marina Shaffir.

Corey – Well, the titles ay not b on the line right now, but if the challengers manage to pin the champs today, they’d be sure to move into the title picture.

Blonde Bombshells vs Jessamyne Duke & Marina Shafir

Dana starts against Duke, and outpowers her at every turn, with a few suplexes, followed by some close falls. She tags Carmella in, and she hits Jessamyne with a running dropkick followed by a wheelbarrow snapmare. Cover, 1, 2, Marina saves her partner. A tag is made, and Marina Shaffir takes the upper hand by deploying her arsenal of MMA grappling holds, crippling Carmella’s legs, thus preventing her agility.

Marina applies an ankle lock, Carmella is close to tapping out, but Dana enters, delivers a running bulldog to Shafir, gets up, grabs Jessamyne head drives her to a corner, then applies the handspring corner back elbow, then lariats her off the ring. She gets off as the ref is threating a dq, but by then Carmella has connected with the Mella Buster, cover, 1,2, 3. The Champs have won.

As the champs are celebrating and infuriated Nikki Cross barges in

Nikki – ‘Owld on, theire! Last weik, my pa’’ner Elexa Bless, was viciously ettacked by soemeone, and I’m determ’nd to feind who was it. She oenly towld me that the ettacker was a blounde! I see twoe bloundes reight hiere! (Rabidly, she grabs Dana) Wes it ye?? Tell me!! (Carmella grabs her; she calms down a bit).

Carmella – Nikki, I would any of us do that?

Nikki – Toe empede meeself and Elexa from getting thowse ti’’les back!

Dana – Nikki, we did no such thing. We wouldn’t even win anything with it. Our title defense at Smackville is happening no matter what. For us there’s no difference against who it is, we’d defend these titles against any team in the world.

Kurt Angle (from the podium) – Nikki, Nikki, you know I like you, but these interruptions will not be tolerated. I have a show to run. And next I’m presenting the match that many are itching to see: Asuka vs Lacey Evans II: The rematch from last Week.

Nikki (calmed down) – Okê. I beleev’ ye goys. Sowrry about that (She leaves)

Asuka starts firing up, capitalizing on the momentum she got from last week, hitting a couple of pop up knee strikes and some hip attacks. She goes on the ropes and performs Kairi’s Insane Elbow, cover, 1, 2, Liv enters the ring and impedes the fall. The ref is having none of it and immediately casts Liv Morgan off the ring side, Lacey is now alone.

Unsurprisingly, Asuka maintains the upper hand for the remainder of the match. When needed, Kairi provides some distraction to the referee so Asuka can bend the rules and hit Lacey illegally. The ref, however, is none the wiser about it because they time it perfectly. Asuka then applies the Asuka Lock. Lacey has no hope, but she crawls her way to the bottom rope. Just as she’s getting there, Kairi pulls it away from her. Lacey id about to tap out, however the referee picks up on the irregularity and confronts Kairi. While this happens, Lacey taps out, but the ref is tangled in an argument with Sane, and misses it. Kairi is evicted from the match.

Asuka, enraged at the referee for missing the tap out and goes to confront him. Kairi is still there protesting her eviction, the ref is utterly distracted. Seizing this, Lacey gets up, grabs Asuka’s attention and as she turns, Lacey blows a Red White and Blue Mist into Asuka’s face. Asuka is blinded, the referee missed it, the crowd rejoices on that show of patriotism by the former marine, Lacey hits a Women’s Right, Asuka falls knocked out cold, cover, 1,2, 3. Lacey has won! The crowd cheers her All-American Hero, with hurls of “U.S.A! U.S.A!”, Kurt Angle seizes the opportunity to rub on some of the pop and enters the ring to raise the winner’s arm. The crowd doesn’t boo him, and Angle almost sheds a tear for that love he’s receiving.

M. Cole – And we’re back, we’re gonna have a match between Lars Sullivan and Eric Young.

Corey – Lars has been on a losing streak since his return, and this is an opportunity for The Freak to turn this around (Suddenly)

M. Cole – OMG, it’s Kane!! The Big Red Machine is here!

Corey – This is his town, but why do you think Kane is here for?

Kane – I’ve come here because I can’t stand what I’ve been seeing in this ring for the last few weeks. Someone is in dire need of an Intervention, and Knoxville is a warm place where people help each other out. So, I’ve asked GM Kurt Angle for this match to be postponed, as I conduct my intervention. Michael, you’re free to announce the next match (he leaves)

M. Cole – Well…erm, ok, So I guess the next match is the 24/7 Championship Number 1 contender tournament match between The Gronk and Axel Curtis.

The Gronk enters, he is accompanied by The Icon, Goldberg, they have matching gear.

Curtis Axel starts the match with a couple of very ineffective chops and kicks. Gronk withstands the assault and as Axel tires, he grabs a hold of him, and deliver a pop up powerslam.

(On the backstage we can see Kane following the match on a big screen, and is commenting “See, that out a guy your size does it. You weather the storm of strikes by the smaller opponent, then you apply a power strike and basically end the match”)

Back on the ring, Axel barely gets up, essays some moves, but The Gronk is having none of it, Irish Whips him to the ropes, and on the rebound applies his Patriot’s Act, the crowd reacts by chanting “Patriot’s Act, Patriot’s Act”, he revels in the love, but not for long, Goldberg, instructs him to focus on finishing the match. The Gronk picks up Axel, connects with a Fireman Carry Slam, 1,2,3. The Gronk performs a flawless match. On the back, Kane seems to agree, and points it out to his still unknown pupil.

Back on the ring, The Gronk and Goldberg celebrate. The Goldberg picks up a mic and calls for Braun Strowman to come to the ring. He does.

Goldberg – Braun, I’ve seen what happened last week to you, as you were ganged up by 5 guys. I mean you’re The Monster, but even a monster is unable to withstand such an assault.

Braun – Yeah. And what do you want?

Goldberg – Relax Braun, lower your defenses, I’m a friend. I want to be an even bigger friend, a mentor, a coach, an ally. You will need allies if you’re bidding again for the Universal Championship. Or do you think that title, held by a monster of his own like Lashley, protected by 4 very gifted wrestlers like Morrison, Ziggler, Titus the Titan and The Miz, will be anywhere accessible?

Braun – Ahah, I’ll manage it myself. I was once in a “family” and it didn’t turn out that well. I’m something of a lone wolf. Besides, to counter that group of very gifted wrestlers what do you offer, exactly? An ageing retiree and a Football guy? (the crowd reacts adversely; The Gronk steps up to confront him, but Goldberg keeps him back).

Goldberg – You know what? You’re sorta right. I am an ageing (semi)retiree. The Gronk here is described by some as a football guy. But this old guy is a multiple time world Champ. And The Gronk is, I’m sure, a future world Champ. But with you, a top guy on his prime, we’d be unstoppable. What say you? (Braun hesitates; the crowd shouts “Yes!”; Braun drops the mic and exists) It’s ok, Braun, think about it. Myself and Gronk are here with arms wide opened.

K. Angle – Ladies and Gents, I give you, the 6 time women’s champions, the woman that was an integral part of the rise of women in wrestling, whose memorable matches with Trish Stratus will live forever, a future Hall of Famer for sure, the women that beat the SmackDown Women’s World Champion and Miss Money in the Bank, Sasha Banks, MICKIEEEEEEEE JAAAAAAMES!

M. James – Thank you for the kind world, Kurt, and thanks to all these fans here in Knoxville for this warm welcome. (The crowd is cheering for Mickie, a mixt of nostalgia and some thankful pop for she having finally shut Sasha up). Now I know people will want to hear what I have to say concerning last week’s match and its consequences for the near future. Well the truth is I don’t really wa…

K. Angle – I think we can all say that win has established you in the title scene, (turns to the crowd) wouldn’t you agree? (The crowd shouts “YES!”, repeatedly).

M. James – Kurt, I really don’t…

(IT’S BOSS TIME!, shouts Corey, as Sasha Banks theme comes up, and she enters)

Sasha – Now, last Sunday I went to Texas for Raw’s Battleground (Kurt Angle boos the mere uttering of the word “Raw”, hoping the crowd would accompany him, but he was wrong) and I intended to cash in this puppy, cause neither Becky nor Nia has nothing on me. But I changed my mind, midway, because I couldn’t shake off the fact that I was beaten by an old hag, a retiree, that surely uses a walker to get around. We have some unfinished business, me and you, you old cun…

K. Angle (urging to interrupt the swear word) – You’re right. And as such I think Mickie James should challenge for your title at Smackville (turns to the crowd) wouldn’t you agree? (The crowd shouts “YES!”, repeatedly).

M. James – I wasn’t that keen on a full return, I just wanted to humble you a bit, Sasha. But seeing that lesson didn’t make the trick, perhaps I think I’ll take your puppy away.

Sasha – Uhn, Uhn. No way. I can agree to a match to put you in your place - the retirement home - but this puppy is not on the line.

K. Angle – Come on Sasha, you have to defend your title frequently.

Sasha – I tell you what, “Commanding Officer” (she makes air quotes) I think Mickie has to earn it. Really earn it. So you go ahead and set up a 2-1 handicap match for her next week. If she wins I’ll fight her for the title at Smackville. I don’t even care who you book her with, as long as it is a handicap. That’s my conditions, take or leave it.

M. James – I do!

M. Cole – And we’re back. Now is the time, I’m told, to have that Eric Young and Lars Sullivan match, that was postponed earlier.

Corey – I’m still very confused by that. Eric Young is already in the ring as we await…

Kane’s theme comes up, he enters.

Corey – Could this be? Yes, with him, yes, it’s Lars Sullivan! Are they allies?

M. Cole – It seems so, Corey. It seems that the superstar Kane was instructing earlier at the back was Lars Sullivan all along.    

Eric Young vs Lars Sullivan

Eric Young attacks Lars Sullivan, but Sullivan lariats him to the ground, then instructed by Kane he picks Eric up, Chokeslam. Devastating. Kane asks for another one. A second Chokeslam connects. Kane orders a cover, Lars complies. 1, 2, 3. Lars Sullivan, guided by Kane, picks up a squashing win, in under 30 seconds. Kane enters the ring to celebrate and, as always, he commands hell fire to sprout from the ring poles.

Action resumes in the ring. Morrison, Ziggler, Titus and the Universal Champion Bobby Lashley accompanied by his wife Lana, are on the ring.

Morrison – This was supposed to be a regular edition of the MMMiz TV, but after that savage attack by CM Dunk, and the match against John Gargoyle, The Miz and his dear wife Maryse took a leave, so I asked my fellow STUD Ziggler to present this edition with me.

Ziggler – Thank you, STUD, but notwithstanding, this will be a very special edition of the MMMiz TV, as we celebrate this man, YOUR Universal Champion, Bobby Lashley, who has defeated Sheamus in 37 seconds, and retained his title. Now that’s a true Championship material. And a STUD material.

Ahhhh, Knoxville! Don’t you dare, be sour! Clap for your world famous 7 times champs, and feeeeeeel the powaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa! It’s a new day Yes it is!

Xavier – Dolph, I won’t let you finish, cause, the real championship material in this entire roster it’s ya boy, Big E.

Kofi – And he is also a stud, I mean look at him! (Big E flexes his pecs and hips, the crowd rejoices) As you once said, “It shouda been him!”

Big E – It should, my brother, and God willing, and with the help of my boys the NEW DAY, and the impulse from all the WWE Universe, it will be me!

Lana – Niet! What do you think this is? You just barge in, say you want to be champion and have a title shot?

Kofi – No! Hell no. Big E is not asking for a shot. He’ll earn it. On this mat. If needs be, by beating y’all “STUDS”, with our help. 5 on 3, if needs be!

(the classic 90’s n.W.o theme comes up. nWo John Cena enters, the crowd are happy to see a patriotic hero of theirs, although they do not quite get this new gimmick)

nWo John Cena (with a 90’s inflated tone) – Well, ya know something Mean Gene! Erm, I mean, You know something Brother? Artificial-silicon-barbie-doll-come-to-life is right! One just doesn’t enter the ring and say one wants to be champion. One grabs the chance. Like I did at Wrestlemania, when I emerge from that match as your nWo World Heavyweight Champion, and have been reigning for more than 100 days, undefeated…

Kofi – Dude, that’s not what happened to you at Wrestlemania…

nWo John Cena - ... so undefeated that nobody even has the nerve to be man enough to even challenge me for it. But no more. It’s time put the World title on the line. I will be conducting weekly open challenges for my World Championship

Big E - Like you did with the US Championship once?

nWo John Cena – What? I do not recall that. Anyway starting next week, any boy that want to become a man can meet e in the ring, Brother, for a shot at the nWo World Heavyweight Championship, but he’ll only get a asswhooping.

Ziggler – Dude, that title isn’t even official. It was retired years ago.

(Cena leaves, all smug with the original nWo theme playing. The others are utterly confused.)

Main Event

M. Cole – And we’re back, for the closure of our Red With & Blue special edition of SmackDown, as we inch closer to Midnight, thus the 4^th of July, and appropriately, the main event concerns the United States Championship, as if King Corbin’s team win this match, he gets a Title Shot.

Corey – Well, but two weeks ago, Jeff Hardy already got one. Does this mean that if Corbin gets is own shot, we’ll have a triple threat match?

M. Cole – I dunno Corey. Knowing our GM…I’d say anything is possible…

Corey – The Liturgy is already on the Ring, Corbin is making is entrance, now the big question is: who, if any, are Corbin’s partners??

GLORIOUS!! NO I WONT GIVE IN, UNTILL I’M VICTORIOUS!

M. Cole - Bobby Roode is back! Corbin has at least one partner. Does he have any more?

Land of Hope and Glory comes up

Corey – It’s the UKIP!! The UKIP have come to Corbin’s aid. Drake Maverick and Jack Gallagher!

The Liturgy vs King Corbin; Bobby Roode; UKIP

Akam and Drake start the bout, with Akam trying to keep in a corner, but the quicker Maverick escapes, tries a Bear Hug, but the girth of Akam’s chest is just too large. He’s swatted like a fly. Akam goes for a powerslam, but again Maverick escapes, goes to the ropes, on the rebound applies a baseball slide on Akam’s knee. Akam is disabled, Drake climbs the top rope, but Seth Rollins comes up from behind and carelessly suplexes Drake from the top turnbuckle. Drake is destroyed after this. We’re down to a 3-on-3.

Rezar and Gallagher are next in the ring. Rezar quickly dispatches of Gallagher with some high power moves, finalizing with a Belly to Belly Suplex, a release german suplex, and a Gorilla Press Slam. Cover, 1, 2, Corbin interrupts the count. An all-out brawl ensues, the referee has some trouble in restoring order, some more refs have to come out to separate the 6 competitors.

Seth Rollins is tagged in, Corbin as well. They clash, test of strength. Corbin is more powerful, and Seth falls to his knees in this test of strength. He capitalizes by headbutting Corbin’s stomach, breaking the hold. He DDT’s Corbin, cover, 1, 2, Corbin escapes. Seth tags Murphy in, and the energetic US Champ plows through Corbin with a running clothesline, then a back body drop. He goes for the Murphy’s law, but Corbin evades it, countering with a Deep six of his own. He’s beat, however, and only manages to get a tag to Roode.

In the other corner, Seth Rollins decline the tag and instructs Rezar to get it. Rezar complies, but is met immediately by a big Boot by Roode, then a reverse atomic drop, connects with a Glorious DDT, cover, 1, 2, Seth Rollins intervenes. Seth is legal now, against Roode. They perform some strikes to each other. On the apron, Murphy and Corbin get themselves involved in a argument, which ends with Corbin back body dropping Murphy on top of Rezar, putting them both out of commission.

That commotion caused a distraction to the ref, and Rollins capitalizes by doing a low blow on Roode, then a performs a Running Bulldog, his new finisher, that he calls “the Leap of Faith”, goes for the cover, 1, 2, Corbin, interrupts at the last second.

Corbin and Seth are the legal competitors now, Seth outpowers himself over Corbin for a while, but as he goes for a Stomp, Corbin escapes and goes for a low blow of his own. The ref, ill-positioned, missed it, as Corbin put his body in front concealing the illegal move. He goes for an End of Days, connects, cover, 1, 2, 3. Corbin has won! He gonna have a US Title Shot! To enhance that fact he grabs the US Title, to covet it, and a US flag that someone threw at him. He’s parading himself in the ring, but suddenly.

The following theme comes up.

M. Cole – It’s Wade Barrett! He’s here! Is he back?

Barrett – Corbin, Corbin. Would you hold on for a second? I have here something that you may desire more than that meaningless trinket. Something quite adequate for a King, like you. Corbin, I hear your Crown was destroyed, but it’s a good thing it did, as that Crown as bloody ugly. Now I have here (pulls up his Crown from the time he was King of The Ring) this Royal Crown, this beaty, made in the Style of the British Royal Crown, a proper crown and I am giving it to you, to pass my legacy to you, to make your Kingship whole again

(Corbin is excited, and welcomes Barrett in the ring)

Barrett – Of course, there’s a catch. The catch is, you give up that futile US title pursuit, that meaningless trinket (the crowd boos like a volcano, that mistreatment of the US title on the 4^th of July), you turn your back on America itself, and accept to become the leader of those men they laid their lives and limbs for you today, in a proper stable, that’ll propel you to the World title, not the garbage US one.

(Corbin hesitates, he looks at the US title in his hand, to the crown on Wade’s hands, to the Stars and Stripes on his other hand, he looks to the crowd, they are enraged at the whole discourse by Barrett. They shout “NO! NO!”)

Corbin – I… I… (the crowd continues to shout “NO”)..I accept! (he drops and kicks the US title, he then spits on the US Flag; the crowd in incensed, security has really trouble in preventing an invasion) I also hereby formally renounce the American citizenship. America is a shitty country, and it’s not fit for a King, (they get a Throne, and Barrett Crowns King Corbin, Drake, Roode and Gallagher kneel beside him)

Barret – I now pronounce you King Corbin, the First, King of the Commonwealth of Nations

Não consigo mesmo perceber isto tudo do CM Punk. Se ele próprio diz que não há chance nenhuma de voltar a competir e que está retirado então trouxeste-o de volta para que? quanto ao Punk, não posso dizer muito mais, sem estar aqui a dar spoiler dos planos. Evidentemente, ele não volta a WWE por causa de uma maçã. E evidentemente um gajo que passou 6 anos a destilar um hate desmesurado pela WWE não estás à espera que eu booke um regresso apoteótico, de imediato como um world title challenge, uma cena À regresso de John Cena, um regresso como se nada se tivesse passado entre as partes. Eu não ia bookar um regresso assim. Portanto apenas posso bookar um regresso aos bochechos, como dizem lá na minha terra, às arrecuas. Com "volta!", "não volto!; "volta, vá lá!" "já disse que não", etc, etc. Preferias um regresso já tipo definitivo e consolidado? eu tb. Mas o CM Punk da vida real deixou pouca margem para um regresso assim, com as coisas que foi dizendo. Lá está, no primeiro WWE Backstage ele disse que era preciso construir um pontoe entre as partes. E essa ponte é paulatinamente, show a show ("jogo a jogo, treino a treino") ele ver-se puxado para as intrigas do actual SmackDown. A maçã, os comentários do Miz, aos poucos. Vai ser assim.

 

Quanto á Asuka acho que tens pouca razão. Primeiro ela ganhou na semana passada. Não anda aqui a levar derrotas em catadupa. Segundo, não sei que esperas da Asuka, mas ela tem 39 anos. Mas corre-se o risco de a tornar num John Cena, num HHH, num tipo que domina a cena de tal modo que não permite outros brotarem. Ademais, elea já teve essa run de campeã dominante né. Se ela, com tantos anos de carreira e com tantos titlos, puder agora put over a Lacey (independentemente do que a gente ache da Lacey, a gimmick patriota de ser ex-marine é vendável sempre nos EUA), ou a Liv, que tem 23 anos, ou outra malta, acho que é algo a considerar.

Ora uma coroa não é só uma prop, para quem se apresenta como rei. é a razão de ser. Ademais, a coroa vinha com a liderança de uma stable sua, que o possa levar, nas palavras do Wade, ao wolrd title. Ele não está a trocar o US title pela coroa. Ele está a trocar uma title shot nesse titulo - e MUITO IMPORTANTE, que teria de combater por ele sozinho contra a Liturgy, ele sabe quais são as odds de sucesso - por uma futura worlds title pursuit liderando uma faction só dele, que o Wade Barrett montou para esse fim. Negocialmente é um no brainer.

Pela gimmick do Kane, the big red machine, um monstro, quer lá ele saber de "give back to the bussiness". E porque não vejo o Kane como mentor ou manager de ninguém e porque não vejo nada de nada no Lars.

O que que é ser King of the Ring? Quando isso era alguma coisa no wrestling era porque se esperava um grande push no futuro a essas pessoas. E por push entenda-se títulos. Stone Cold, Edge, Kurt Angle por ex.

Pelo menos o Punk já está a passar do Carlito para o Miz, melhor que nada. Eu entendo o teu ponto de vista, só acho mesmo que aquilo na semana passada não fez sentido. Se era para ele estar nessa do "vai não vai", mas valia os McMahons terem-lhe oferecido o lugar de GM (e sim por um lado era quase impossível fazê-lo, por outro por dinheiro fariam tudo, e ter o Punk na tv vale dinheiro) e estar ali numa disputa com o Angle e com wrestlers aliados dele até chegar a um ponto em que resolve as coisas por ele em ringue.

A Asuka perder para a Lacey... epah, percebe-se que queiras pushar a Lacey, mas isso nem sempre tem que acontecer com vitórias contra atletas superiores, pode ser com várias de valor semelhante, e a Asuka simplesmente está num nível acima de qualquer uma das outras. Fico para ver o seguimento da história entre o Goldberg e o Braun, mas continuo a não conseguir ver o Goldberg como manager.

A road do Big E para o World title é ouro, para culminar no Summerslam.

Os aliados do Corbin surpreenderam-me, mas acho que quem quer que fosse iria-me surpreender. Mas o Roode foi estranho, tanto quanto sei estava numa equipa com o Ziggler, agora estão separados?

E aquele final... heat gigantesco, sem dúvida, mas talvez demasiado exagerado. O Corbin num minuto está no que parece ser quase um face turn, a lutar contra uma stable heel, aparece o Barrett (all hail king Barrett btw), ele fica na dúvida sobre se aceita a proposta dele e 20 segundos depois está a renunciar à cidadania e a cuspir na bandeira? A little too much, mas siga, agora é ver quem se vai juntar a essa stable, não tens um roster lá muito extenso, eu diria que vão se juntar os UKIP, mas fora eles não estou a ver mais ninguém.

não concordo muito. pq isso não seria ficar muito over, seria apenas a  melhor das mediocres. Faria dela uma Women's Champion convicente, por vencer as Taminas, Sonyas, Embers? Percebes.

É que eu só tenho duas grandes wrestlers, duas estrelas. Sasha e Asuka. Ou as meto a trocarem o titulo entre si para sempre, ou faço outras estrelas - a martelo, eu sei, mas é o material que tenho - para ascender a esse spot.

Byron Saxton: That’s right, Vic. We’ll have a beat-the-clock challenge. Shayna Baszler will face Naomi and Bayley will face Ruby Riott, whoever gets the fastest victory will face Becky Lynch for the Raw Women’s title at Super Raw at Madison Square Garden in two weeks. 

Booker T: And after went down last week, the General Manager Paul Wight decided that tonight The Artist Collective will face The Undisputed Era on a 8-men tag team match, and that can only be amazing.

O 1# contender ao WWE title vem até ao ringue para dizer algumas palavras. 

Orton: In two weeks it’s gonna be one of the greatest Raws of all time. Not because it’s being promoted as a Super Raw or because it will be at Madison Square Garden, and certainly not because Stone Cold Steve Austin will be there, but because on that Raw, I will become a 14-time world champion. I will step inside a cage with Drew McIntyre, where Samoa Joe can’t interfere, and I will show everyone why this ring is not known as Claymore Country, but as RKO world.

Orton ri se. 

Orton: That’s alright. But I have to admit that I am in fact a little intimidated by you, so I hope you understand why do I have to do this. 

RKO em Curt Hawkins. Ryder fica a olhar para o seu parceiro, e de repente já não parece gostar da ideia de lutar contra Randy Orton, mas o árbitro já está a correr pela tampa abaixo. 

 

Randy Orton vs Zack Ryder

Começa o combate e Ryder parece estar com medo de atacar Orton, mas eventualmente tenta agarrá-lo mas Orton acerta logo um european uppercut e derruba Ryder, pisando depois os tornozelos e as mãos de Ryder. Orton está com toda a calma do mundo, levanta Ryder mas este empurra-o e tenta acertar um murro mas Orton desvia-se e acerta outro european uppercut, seguido de um inverted headlock backbreaker. Orton leva o seu tempo, e passado um pouco volta a levantar Ryder, agarra-o para aplicar um back suplex mas Ryder resiste e dá-lhe uma cotovelada. Orton não gostou nada que Ryder lhe tivesse acertado mas Ryder tenta continuar o ataque, atira Orton contra as cordas e na volta tenta-lhe acertar um dropkick mas Orton travou a tempo e Ryder cai redondo no chão, quando se levanta... RKO. 1,2,3 Randy Orton conquista uma vitória fácil. 

 

Terminado o combate, Orton está com cara de poucos amigos, e enquanto o árbitro levanta o seu braço, Samoa Joe aparece por trás dele, com uma t-shirt que diz “Apex Predator”. Samoa Joe surpreende Orton e prende o Coquina Clutch. Orton tenta escapar mas Joe não dá hipótese e mantém a manobra presa até Orton ficar inconsciente. O Mr. Money in the Bank a retribuir o ataque da semana passada e a mostrar ao maior predador de todos que também ele quer estar no topo da ‘cadeia alimentar’ no Raw. 

 

Passamos ao backstage com os Raw Tag Team Champions, The Street Profits. 

Montez: Fam... what the hell was that last week? We we’re just on a good vibe, showing that we are fighting champions and that we want to fight the best of the best, and  those two Usos superkicked us? 

Dawkins: I don’t know fam, I wasn’t even sure if they were two, they look exactly the same. I had a weird drink earlier that night and I thought I was just seeing in double. 

Montez: Fam, you’re sounding like R-Truth, maybe you’re taking the ‘bring the smoke’ thing too serious, cut that off. Focus, we have a target on our backs. 

Dawkins: Based on last week I think the target is on our faces. 

Montez: Ah it doesn’t matter. (olha para a câmera) Jimmy, Jey, at Super Raw, bring your asses to Madison Square Garden, because we will bring the smoke, and this titles, and we’ll leave with the smoke, and with this titles. While you two will only leave with an ass-kicking.

Gulak: I think it’s time for the WWE Universe to experience someone else as the new Intercontinental Champion. I saw Sami vs Bryan at Battleground really close, and I believe I can beat Sami Zayn. I think you’re gonna like this, here it is 10 reasons why I would make a great Intercontinental Champion, (aponta para o ecrã) IT’S A POWERPOINT PRESENTATION.

O gigante barbudo impede a apresentação do powerpoint e é vaiado pela crowd. 

Rowan: If anyone deserves to be the new Intercontinental Champion is me. These hands are capable of performing levels of destruction from which you can’t escape.  Tozawa had a taste of that last week, and now you’re gonna have the same treatment. 

Drew Gulak vs Erick Rowan

Gulak começa o combate a tentar atingir Rowan com alguns pontapés, tentando levar Rowan ao chão. Rowan vai tentando atingir Gulak mas este é mais rápido e consegue sempre desviar-se. Eventualmente Gulak consegue levar Rowan ao chão e prende um single leg crab. Rowan resiste e acaba por conseguir rebolar e obriga Gulak a soltar a manobra. O combate segue durante uns minutos sempre na mesma toada, com Gulak a ter algum controlo utilizando a sua maior inteligência em ringue. Mas quando Gulak tenta levar Rowan ao chão de novo, este resiste e acerta-lhe um headbutt, agarra nele e prende o bearhug. Gulak tenta resistir e acerta várias cotoveladas para tentar que Rowan o largue, e depois acerta-lhe um dropkick que atira Rowan para fora do ringue. Rowan chateia-se e começa a bater nas escadas de aço. Quando volta para o ringue, tem as mãos todas vermelhas de tanto bater nas escadas. Gulak volta a tentar retomar o ataque mas Rowan veio muito mais agressivo e acerta um body avalanche seguido de um elbow drop. 1,2... Gulak safa-se. Rowan não pára, pega em Gulak e aplica três full nelson slam, volta a levantá-lo e aplica um iron claw. 1,2...3 vitória para Erick Rowan.

Jaxson Ryker: Right now we have other fish to fry. Lucha House Party, three mexican idiots wearing masks to hide their identity. Why? Because they’re criminals, they’re hispanic criminals who probably are members of drug  cartels. And they come here, to our beautiful country, and they take our jobs, take our money, spread the fear on our streets...(Jaxson está muito exaltado e os seus colegas tentam acalmá-lo um pouco) They just don’t belong in here, and we will be happy to kick them out back to their side of the border, from where they should never leave again.

Rey começa o combate ao ataque, bastante irritado com Ryker e a atacá-lo com vários pontapés nas pernas. Rey usa a sua velocidade e tenta um hurricanrana mas Ryker trava-o a meio e aplica um powerbomb, tenta o pin mas Rey safa-se. Ryker continua o ataque com várias manobras de força como o vertical suplex, e durante uns minutos tem o domínio completo. Após um uranage backbreaker Ryker tenta de novo o pin, mas Rey volta-se a safar. Ryker sobe a um canto, salta para um diving elbow drop mas Rey consegue desviar-se e assim o combate equilibra um pouco. Rey consegue levantar-se e sobe ele ao canto, salta e consegue acertar um diving leg drop. 1,2... Ryker safa-se. Continua o combate, Rey volta a subir ao canto, mas Ryker levanta-se e agarra-o, posiciona-o para o hangar 18, mas Rey contra-ataca com o hurricanrana e Ryker fica nas cordas... 619. Ryker está no meio do ringue, Rey sobe ao canto... mas Steve Cutler e Wesley Blake empurram-no e este cai com estrondo fora do ringue. O árbitro termina o combate por desqualificação.

 

Blake e Cutler continuam o ataque violento a Rey fora do ringue, e entretanto Ryker já recuperou e junta-se também a eles. Eles tiram a parte de cima da mesa dos comentadores e preparam-se para usar Rey para a partir, mas de repente...

Vic Joseph: It is time for the beat-the-clock challenge. Bayley will fight Ruby Riott, and Naomi will face Shayna Baszler. Whoever gets the quickest victory will fight Becky Lynch for the Raw Women’s title at Super Raw in two weeks. 

 

Bayley vs Ruby Riott

As duas começam o combate em grande velocidade, a tentar conquistar rapidamente a vitória com vários roll-ups de forma a marcarem um tempo baixo. Bayley consegue acertar um dropkick contra um canto, seguido de um running back elbow. Ruby cai no chão, Bayley sobe ao canto e salta para um diving back elbow mas Ruby consegue desviar-se. O combate segue por algum tempo, Ruby consegue um STO, vai para o pin mas Bayley safa-se. Ruby levanta Bayley, tenta um Riott kick, mas Bayley reverte para um roll-up, 1,2... Sarah Logan puxa a perna de Bayley para quebrar o pin. O árbitro viu e não gostou, e decide expulsar Sarah Logan do ringside. Ruby protesta com o árbitro, mas Bayley chega por trás dela, agarra-a e consegue aplicar o belly to Bayley. 1,2...3 Bayley consegue a vitória com o tempo de 7:37.

 

Enquanto Bayley abandona a área, toca a música de Naomi, que passa por Bayley a correr sem lhe ligar nenhuma. 

 

Naomi vs Shayna Baszler 

vs

Estas duas também começam o combate com um ritmo elevado, para tentarem conquistar a vitória antes do tempo de Bayley. Shayna acerta o flurry of offence e tenta prender o kirifuda clutch ainda em pé, mas Naomi consegue reverter para um shoulder jawbreaker, e acerta um roundhouse kick. Tenta o pin mas Shayna safa-se. O combate segue sempre a um ritmo alto e com muita agressividade por parte de ambas. Naomi consegue um wheelbarrow stunner, sobe ao canto para aplicar um split legged moonsault mas Shayna levanta os joelhos. Agora é Shayna que está ao ataque e prende um fujiwara armbar. O tempo do combate já vai em 6 minutos, Naomi vai resistindo e aproximando-se das cordas, e eventualmente consegue lá chegar e obriga Shayna a soltar a manobra. Shayna agarra rapidamente em Naomi mas esta reverte para um roll up, 1,2... Shayna safa-se, e tenta agora ela o roll up, 1,2... Naomi safa-se, mais um roll up de Shayna e novamente Naomi a safar-se e de repente toca a campainha....acabou o tempo.

Mike Rome anuncia que este combate ultrapassou o tempo do anterior, e que por isso a vencedora do beat-the-clock challenge é Bayley. Naomi e Shayna olham uma para a outra furiosas, e lançam-se uma à outra e atacam-se violentamente. De repente já estão fora do ringue, a atirarem-se contra a barricade, Naomi consegue atirar Shayna contra os degraus de aço... Shayna levanta-se e corre rapidamente contra Naomi, as duas continuam a desferir vários murros e vários árbitros correm rampa abaixo para as separarem, e eventualmente lá conseguem e arrastam Shayna dali para fora.

Undisputed Era vs Artist Collective

Adam Cole começa o combate com Cesaro, os dois mostram um grande atleticismo e levam a crowd a gritar "this is awesome". O combate dura cerca de 20 minutos, com várias tags de parte a parte que permitem ter várias combinações de wrestlers dentro do ringue. Com Sami e Cole legais em ringue, Cole consegue acertar um jumping enziguri e um last shot, vai para o pin mas Nakamura entra em ringue para quebrar o pin. Fish entra em ringue e embrulha-se com Nakamura e os dois saem do ringue. Cesaro e O'Reilly também entram no ringue, assim como Roderick Strong e atiram Cesaro para fora do ringue. Enquanto isso Sami tenta chegar ao tag com Sheamus, mas Cole agarra nele, tenta o kneecap brainbuster mas Sami consegue reverter para um turnbuckle exploder suplex contra o seu canto. Cole fica lá encostado, Sami levanta-se, corre virado a ele e Helluva kick... em Sheamus. Adam Cole conseguiu se desviar e Sami acabou por acertar no seu colega. Sami fica a olhar para Shemaus que caiu fora do ringue, Cole aproxima-se por trás e saca um roll up, 1,2...3 Adam Cole consegue a vitória sobre o Intercontinental Champion.

Sami não acredita que perdeu, sai do ringue quase em choque, agarra no seu título e chama o resto do grupo para abandonarem a arena, mas Cesaro está a ajudar Sheamus que não está nada satisfeito. Enquanto isso no ringue, Adam Cole grita para Sami Zayn e avisa-o que lhe vai tirar o título. 

Theme do Paul Wight 

Paul: It really seems that a lot of people wants a shot at the Intercontinental title, and I’m a fair GM, so I’m thinking about giving a chance to earn that match to all of them...literally. Super Raw at Madison Square Garden is two weeks away, and not only I have to make it really special, as I want as many people as possible involved in that show. So at Super Raw, we will have a huge battle royal, 30 men will compete in a Rumble in the Garden Match, and the winner of that will face Sami Zayn for the Intercontinental title at Summerslam. 

 

Vic Joseph: That is huge news by our GM. 

Byron Saxton: It seems like Christmas is coming earlier, guys. And do you know what else is huge guys? We just received confirmation, at Super Raw at Madison Square Garden, Mick Foley will be on the show!

Aiden: Last week I made my return to in-ring competition, and even though I lost, it could’ve gone much worse. Shelton and Apollo we’re ready to beat me up after the match, and if it wasn’t for Rusev, maybe my return would’ve been much shorter than I though. So Rusev, please, once again, I ask you to come here and talk to me.

Aiden estende a mão a Rusev, que lha aperta.

Apollo e Shelton aparecem debaixo de um coro de assobios e vão falando enquanto descem a rampa.

Entram no ringue. 

Apollo: You’re right Shelton. It took me a long time to see it, but now I know I’m on the right path, and soon my career will be on the next level. As for you Rusev, you’ve been on a losing streak and you will continue on that if you think that all it takes is to have that mouth piece next to you once again. Think about it, did  that really worked last time, were you a champion while you had that idiot with you? I don’t think so. But you were a champion when you were a ruthless brute, when you only thought about crushing everyone. If you want to be that guy again, you can join us. 

Apollo estende a mão a Rusev. A crowd grita “NO,NO,NO”. Rusev recusa. 

Apollo: I guess you prefer to be just a loser who soon will be unemployed... No wonder Lana cheated on you... 

Rusev respira fundo, olha para Aiden... e percebe-se que lhe diz “Let’s go”. Rusev e Aiden começam a desferir vários murros em Apollo e Shelton, a crowd está ao rubro. Byron Saxton está aos pulos na mesa dos comentadores como uma criança.

Eu também não sou o maior fã deles, mas pelo menos são personagens completamente diferentes e que permitem variar as coisas. Principalmente na tag division, onde normalmente tenho mais dificuldade em pensar em histórias interessantes, isso é uma mais valia.

E apesar do Cole estar aparentemente na frente, num combate com 30 pessoas tudo pode acontecer e há muitos potenciais vencedores.

Se ela ganhar nem será assim tão descabido. Traz toda aquela história da justice for Bayley, estava como campeã no SD e agora podia continuar como campeã na Raw. Das 4 foi a última a subir ao main roster e de certa forma foi a menos beneficiada. Não querendo spoilar a próxima promo dela, mas a Charlotte e a Sasha andavam a ser main event da Raw e ppv's, a terem os primeiros combates femininos em certas estipulações e ela sem fazer nada. Entretanto estava a ter um bom reinado como campeã no smackdown mas completamente ofuscada pelo que a Becky fazia no Raw...

Quanto ao show, gostei no geral, mas...estás a ver aquele hate massivo que o Ruas dá aos meus shows??? Igual da minha parte para o segmento e combate do Gulak! Detestei. Detestei que desenterrasses a gimmick dos power points, e detestei que perdesse para um oaf como o Rowan! 

 

O angle dos FS e dos mexicanos está fixe - está super abertamente racista, o que seria um big no no irl, mas se depois pensarmos que o homem que se senta na casa branca disse isso mesmo, se calhar não é assim tão inadmissivel -... Entre este e o meu segmento da bandeira, não sei qual dos dois daria mais backlash. Mas hey, para se criar vilões, eles têm de fazer vilanias.

Os combates estão todos bem escritos, e o show no geral tb, e lança bem esse tal Super Raw. Não gostei de algumas decisões de booking, mas já se sabe que nã dá para agradar a toda a gente.

Opah o combate também acabei por não gostar como ficou, mas queria dar algum destaque ao Rowan porque praticamente não tenho heels individuais, está quase tudo em tags ou stables. Em relação ao PowerPoint, não significa que vá voltar, o Gulak ia apresentar um pela primeira vez em muito tempo, o que daria ali um pequeno pop dado que agora o Gulak agora é face, mas o Rowan interrompeu só para ser vaiado.

Eles não estão em feud, os Geniuses foram apenas usados para desenvolver esta feud paralela do Orton com o Samoa Joe. Repara que foi utilizada a gimmick deles na semana passada, de se acharem génios mas na verdade estão longe disso, e picaram o Joe acusando o de ter sido burro por não ter feito o cash in no Battleground. Isso deu origem a um combate só para que no fim o Orton atacasse o Joe, e porque é o Orton, o Ryder acabou por também levar um RKO. 

Esta semana, normalmente a jogar com a gimmick, os geniuses acham que o Orton está intimidado com eles e usam isso para tentarem sacar um impensável title match. Claro que o Orton ganhou, mas o objetivo do segmento era só que acabasse com o Joe a meter o Orton a dormir.

Com quase 500 dias de reinado a Becky não pode ter fillers óbvios, a Bayley é uma clara ameaça e quem sabe se não está na hora de tirar o título à Becky, e para esse trabalho não há muitas melhores do que a Bayley.

É complicado fazer algo de jeito com ele, mas também não quero ter um gajo daquele tamanho a ser visto como um jobber. E apesar de gostar do Gulak em ringue, também é um bocado difícil saber o que fazer com ele, pois não tem grande credibilidade para lutar por títulos, a menos que fosse numa tag team com o Bryan.
