Odom tem 28, e faz 29 no final do ano. O Carter tem 31, feitos em janeiro.

O Odom é mais novo que o Kobe? Não fazia a minima ideia...

Atão mais vale não trocar...

Cá está :D:

Odom: 06/11/1979

Carter: 26/01/1977

btw,

MIAMI — Superstar guard Dwyane Wade, perhaps the most influential voice in the Heat organization, has no patience for a slow, steady rebuilding plan.

"You can rebuild through the draft, but that takes two years, three years," said Wade, who can depart after the 2009-10 season via a player option in his contract.

"We're looking to come into next summer and really do some things," Wade said. "Whatever we do in the draft is what we do, but we're looking to get veteran guys."

Wade and President/coach Pat Riley believe the race to rebuild is full speed ahead for the Heat, starting with Thursday's game at Houston.

"We're going to turn this around as fast as we can," Riley said.

Forward Shawn Marion is the biggest key.

Marion, a four-time All-Star, came over from Phoenix along with guard Marcus Banks in exchange for Shaquille O'Neal. Marion has a few options that could determine Miami's future: he can opt out of his contract after this season; he can play next season for $17.8 million and then become a free agent; he can sign a multiyear contract extension; or he can be used in a sign-and-trade transaction.

Once that matter is settled, the Heat can move forward with draft plans - center or point guard, perhaps - and develop a free agency strategy.

However, it's anyone's guess as to how fast the Heat can go from worst team in the league to, say, the Eastern Conference finals.

"I don't know how you even try to predict such things," an NBA scout said. "It's a terrible answer, but I just don't know."

In the race to catch Boston and Detroit, Miami (9-42) likely is looking at a two- or three-year rebuilding job. That's because the Heat has salary cap/luxury tax constraints and a roster that doesn't have much to offer in another monster trade.

Former NBA coach Mike Fratello said it could be done quicker, however, because the Heat has three factors working in its favor.

"You have a Hall of Fame coach, and you have two All-Stars in Dwyane Wade and Shawn Marion," Fratello said. "Those are two factors right there. And the third factor - this might be No. 1 - is they have (owner) Micky Arison."

Bound by big contracts

For the record, Marion has said he plans on remaining with Miami. The 2004 U.S. Olympian has been excellent so far, averaging 20.3 points and 13 rebounds in three games with the Heat. He teams with Wade to form a tremendously athletic duo that could be a special foundation and woo top talent.

"My gut feeling is if (Marion) would have played for the East the first half of the season he'd be an All-Star," Denver coach George Karl said.

Marion reportedly asked Phoenix for a three-year, $60 million extension. There's no indication he would ask Miami for that much, but there's also no indication he would take a pay cut or play for his existing salary.

That creates a problem for Miami. Among Heat players under contract for next season are Wade ($14.4 million), center Mark Blount ($7.3 million), forward Udonis Haslem ($6.5 million) and guards Smush Parker ($2.4 million), Marcus Banks ($4.2 million) and Daequan Cook ($1.2 million). Forward Dorell Wright ($2.9 million) likely will be re-signed. That chews up $38.9 million of a salary cap that likely will not rise much above $55.6 million. Add Marion's salary, and that's $56.7 million committed to eight players.

That scenario also eliminates the salaries of guard Jason Williams ($8.9 million) and swingman Ricky Davis ($6.8 million). Outside of the mid-level exception (around $6 million next season) and the veteran's exception (around $2 million next season), Miami can't sign free agents other than its own.

No quick fix in sight

Such restrictions aren't conducive to filling out the roster with veterans and making a quick turnaround, as Wade suggested. Rather it leads to low-salary guys such as guard Chris Quinn, center Earl Barron and forward Alexander Johnson returning. It also could mean either Williams or Davis come back because league rules allow teams to exceed the salary cap to re-sign their own players.

A sign-and-trade with Marion is another option. Miami could sign Marion to, say, a three-year, $20 million deal and get equal salary in return, thus landing two high-quality players. In that salary range the Heat could trade Marion for, say, Chicago's Luol Deng and Ben Gordon, or Charlotte's Emeka Okafor and Gerald Wallace. Or it could make a run at center-forward Elton Brand of the Los Angeles Clippers, who earns $16.4 million next season, the final year of his contract.

The Heat only gets a slight bit of salary cap relief after the 2008-09 season. It could owe Marion somewhere around $18 million to $20 million. The only others currently under contract are Wade ($15.7 million), Blount ($7.9 million), Haslem ($7.1 million), Banks ($4.5 million) and Cook ($1.2 million). But even with Marion on the low end that adds up to $54.4 million among six players.

Unfortunately for the Heat, there's no proven model for a quick turnaround.

Boston, the second-worst team in the league last season at 24-58, rebuilt quickly this season with two blockbuster trades. It acquired All-Star forward Ray Allen in a draft-night, sign-and-trade deal with Seattle, and then got Kevin Garnett, the future Hall of Fame forward, in a huge trade with Minnesota. Now it is 41-9, the best record in the league.

Miami rebuilt a bit slower when it won a title in 2006. It drafted forward Caron Butler in 2002, then drafted Wade in 2003 and signed Odom shortly afterward. The next year it used Butler and Odom in a trade to acquire Shaquille O'Neal, and in the summer of 2005 put Williams and forwards James Posey and Antoine Walker around Wade and O'Neal to win the 2006 title.

"I think the teams that have rebuilt quickly are the ones that got, not lucky, but they picked off one of the cream of the crop in the draft, and it was a player who just immediately changed the franchise," Riley said. "And they also had other young players who maybe weren't as good from years past, and then the (team used the) free agent market and the trading markets. Those are the ones that get you over the hump."

Estive aqui a ver e a única troca neste momento possível para os Suns seria o Artest + Kenny Thomas com o seu contrato anormal, poderia tentar-se uma coisa como Diaw + Kurt Thomas, só assim mesmo :/

Esqueçam Jermaine O'Neal, Zach Randolph e Odom.
