Longineu Publicado 7 Maio 2014 Bassist Paolo Gregoletto of Florida metallers TRIVIUM has released the following statement: "To TRIVIUM fans, friends and family: "I had asked everyone to make this statement regarding [drummer] Nick [Augusto], personally and on behalf of the band, because of the history we both have had together as friends and bandmates. "There is no easy way to go about parting ways with someone; whether it's in a band or not, but if it is coming directly from one of us, I hope that it will be perceived out of our respect for him. "This past Sunday, Matt [Heafy, guitar/vocals], Corey [beaulieu], and I decided that it was best to part ways with Nick and to move forward as soon as possible. This decision was not one that we took lightly, given the fact that we are in the midst of a tour, and, more importantly, that Nick has been with us for almost three and half years. We spoke face to face for about an hour on the bus — first informing him of our decision to move forward, both discussing the situation and how to proceed with announcing it, as well as personally thanking him for being there when we needed him as a tech, and then as drummer. "I made both those calls to Nick — I asked him if he would be willing to drop everything and come out and be apart of TRIVIUM at a moment's notice, and he did without hesitation. On stage we all fit well together — I believe we became a tighter and more unified band because of him. "There was not a dramatic ending to this. Honestly, it was quite muted and I am happy to have been able to speak directly and calmly to one another. "I believe we all agreed that what started out great 'off stage' in the beginning over time began to fray. It became obvious that things were not going to work out in the long run. "We did not want to reach the point where the differences between us became apparent on stage. "Being in a band is privilege afforded to us by all of you, and as much as we owe you guys the best show we can possibly give you, we also realize that being out here has to be enjoyable enough for us to continue to do so. "We truly wish nothing but the best for Nick and whatever projects he becomes involved in. We will be rooting for him to succeed. I would like to add that as the one who championed Nick to become our drummer three and half years ago, I will be the first person to vouch for him as an incredible drummer and as an immense force and presence on stage. The last show together at Carolina Rebellion was a powerful one, and I am happy to say that we ended our time together on such a high and positive note. "Lastly, I would like to thank our drum tech, Mat Madiro, for stepping up to the plate and learning our entire set in 24 hours, allowing us to continue this tour without a hitch. "We have always tried to treat both band and crew as family, and the support for Mat from our other crew guys has been amazing. Thank you all — Eric, Joey, Sam, Jeremy, and Mike! Another HUGE thank you to VOLBEAT and their crew for giving us their entire soundcheck at the Niagara Falls show to allow us to run through the set with Mat. They have been a great band to tour with and this act only further solidified to us what standup guys they are on and off stage. "Nick, thank you once again for the hard work with us. We will always be grateful for the time we spent together with you on the road and in the studio. "Thank you all for your support and understanding." Longineu Publicado 19 Maio 2014 tá aqui o post: Um amigo de Travis a comentar a actual situação no seu perfil:Será azia ou verdade? "This might take a couple of minutes to read but it should be said. I say this because for whatever reason… Travis has never come out and told the world what he has endured. I toured with Trivium as FOH mixer for almost a year before quitting the band. I needed to overcome some "demons" inside myself and going out on the road was my fear. After 13 years with Pantera and then on to Damageplan until the fatal night of Dime I had been a very privileged person to be a part of such a life changing event. We were truly brothers back then. Like NO other band I’ve ever seen. After Dime died I really didn’t want to tour again… EVER. A few years later Rita (Dime’s gash) talked me into going out with Trivium. In all that time I was closely involved with all the members. Travis Smith is the ONLY reason I was able to stomach being out with such a group of two faced, spoiled rotten, self absorbed assholes. Travis always knew this, and it almost got him fired in their early years of the band. I asked him once why he put up with such childish behavior? I said “Just leave’em dude”! He looked me in face and said “Man you don’t know… if I did… it would be over for me. It’s my only chance”. I thought he was crazy and told him so. I told him that he could hook up with anyone. Looking back now… he might have been right but I keep hoping he’s not. A couple of years later, it was suddenly announced right before the start a new Trivium tour, that Travis Smith would NOT be going out and that he had personal things at home that needed to be attended to. Ummm? I knew at that very moment what had happened. He finally got fed up with Dave Mustang… err… I mean… Matt Heafy and his egocentric, and self centered bullshit. Trust me… it’s more then most people could ever imagine. Paolo was never a problem back then, he was just “Matt’s boy” and silent partner in crime. Corey…. well Corey just sits in the middle and takes it up the ass. In his own words… “dude, if I wasn’t in this band I’d just be back home “suckin syrup” from the maple trees like the rest of my family”. (good point) Every band and crew that has ever traveled with Trivium knows all of this crap. I’ve spoke to so many other band members and they ALL think… Matt is a two faced asshole. (sorry Matt, but you got no one to blame this time but yourself) (ever notice that it’s ALWAYS someone else that’s in the wrong but not him?) A selfish child that has convinced himself and all those around him, that he is the “Chosen One”. A true gift from the Gods! Whatever… FUCK HIM! He stands on stage and delivers the music as professional as anyone I’ve ever mixed in all my years. A true talent indeed… but that where it ends, on stage! He then runs to the bus climbs in his sterilized bunk, (that no is allowed to even breath around because of germs!!!) and spends the rest of his time watching his favorite television show… “Full House”! Swear to GOD! I couldn’t believe it myself! What a BAD ASS huh? Anyway, back to why I’m here… Travis I miss you and think about you all the time. You have such unique personality. I have often thought, if Dime were still around, the two of you would be more dangerous then him and Zak were! So in my last statement to Travis… I want you too know this… as the truth. First there was Vinnie Paul. A true self-made groove drummer like no other. “Vince Paul… Brick Wall” what more can you say! Next, came Joey. Wow, what speed! A machine on 12! He was so fast it sounded fake! Then came Travis… I thought to myself back then… WTF?? What’s all this ink all over his neck? FREAK! And what’s up with 27 fuckin drums dude? Why don’t you learn to play on 4 or 5 first and then… maybe! Hey… I was wrong. I got schooled... not judge before I knew! Man you were un-fucken-be-live-able dude! Now I think you could use even MORE drums! Haha. You gave Lombardo lesson’s didn’t you? Don’t lie! I just wished that Corey Taylor knew… what I know, about you. He would be enlisting one of the best drummers in the world and at the same time have the best “team player” I’ve ever known." travis: Compartilhar este post Link para o post

Longineu Publicado 19 Maio 2014 Last Friday I sat in a courtroom to support a friend. For the better part of a decade our professional and personal lives were woven in a relationship akin to family. As if family, the intention of my attendance was to publicly acknowledge the deep care and compassion I hold for this individual. I watched as she searched for the strength to behold her transgressor for the first time in over a year since learning of his plot to have her murdered. I listened to her describe the love she once possessed for this man whom she adored, trusted, and depended on as her husband. I followed along as she detailed his abandonment of her and her children; a betrayal he failed to own but opted to blame on a lost sense of morality. This excuse became further excused by a defense that drug abuse had clouded his judgement. She attempted to rebuild a life with three young children apart from a man who viewed them as disposable. The strength and resilience of these children—whom she saved from abandonment, poverty, and certain early death—were being further challenged by this domestic unravelling. Her desire was to give them love and stability, his response was to have her executed. I observed his defense acknowledge the crime but defend it once again with the argument that steroids created mental instability. I followed as the prosecution reminded the court of an intricately calculated series of actions occurring over the course of many weeks. A scheme which involved using her children to secure gate codes for a would be assassin, and his plans for their further exploitation as an alibi; a plot indicative of careful premeditation over momentary mindlessness. I watched as a Judge highlighted how many men use steroids but do not plot to murder innocent women, and for someone to move towards such action reveals something twisted within their character. He continued to point out that a willingness to involve children in such matters is deeply disturbing and reprehensible as well. The accounts I interpreted within this courtroom were details of people and a past that I had known and observed first hand. All and everything was as I knew it to be. I share this in response to an interview between Tim Lambesis and Ryan J. Downey that was released on AltPress.com moments after this women and her family were given their closure. Behind the facade of a penitent man with renewed outlook, restored faith, and apparent remorse is a fairly appalling agenda to further damage the lives and reputations of his non-supporters. It is the continued defense of behavior that leveled every facet of an innocent woman's being and traumatized children who have already persevered through the actual pain of an orphan’s life. There is no contrition in his pseudo-philosophical jargon, and the verbalized assessment of his relationship with myself and former bandmates is absolute slander. I had spoken with him directly and in length of how 100% of my heart, love, and loyalty was being directed in support towards his victims. These victims being people I had opened my heart to as family for many years and whom I pray will find healing from his deep abuse. In complete disregard for the truth as I’m certain he understands it, he opted to fabricate motives that describe us abandoning him as a callous business decision. The intent of his defamation is to create an air of sympathy and support under the false pretense of a forthcoming tell-all. Unfortunately this has worked to a degree, as many strangers have put effort into projecting hatred towards those of us who chose to defend the guiltless subjects of his crimes. It is regrettable that he utilized this platform as a means to justify his conduct. The prosecution of this case profiled him as a sociopathic narcissist in definite need of rehabilitation. For those of us who truly know the man for who he is, it’s shameful that in spite of all he is still as he ever was and just as they say. For Jordan, Phil, Josh, and myself, we’ll continue to carry on knowing we behaved honorably, lovingly, and loyally to the individuals who truly needed it. É muito, mas vale a pena ler. Nick Hipa a falar sobre o julgamento do Lambesis. Compartilhar este post Link para o post
