ainda ontem vi um episódio em que ela apareceu e depois fui ao youtube ver qualquer m*rda em que ela apareceu (já nem me lembro o que ao certo) e estavam lá nos comentários a dizer "chyna should be in the hof" e outros "chyna will never be in hof tks to hhh" e m*rda assim... hoje acontece isto, pqp.

The story of Chyna might go down as the saddest of any professional wrestler. People forget, but she was a huge deal during the Attitude Era. She was probably only behind Rock and Austin in terms of mainstream attention. The outpouring of support in the wake of her tragic passing has been inspiring.

About a year ago, Chyna appeared on the Opie and Jim Show. X-Pac called in and they talked. I wrote up a breakdown of the conversation, which can be read here.

To quote X-Pac at the end of the interview, "(Chyna) did more for women than Billie Jean King. Before Ronda Rousey, there was Chyna." And he was right. Chyna changed society's perception of what a woman should look like, what a women should and could be, and that was inspiring. Was she a good wrestler? No. She didn't have to be. She was something none of us had ever seen before or since.

A year ago, I ended my breakdown of the interview by saying that I did not believe the story of Chyna would have a happy ending. It's incredibly disheartening to have been proven right. In her life, she never received the credit she deserved. In her final years, she never found the absolution she sought. In death, I hope she can be remembered for the icon she was, rather than the distance she fell.

Unfortunately, her life has now become a topic of debate. Was she a monster who spread false, inflammatory allegations toward the people from her past? Is the WWE, namely Triple H and Stephanie McMahon, to blame for her downward spiral?

People will want there to be an absolute truth to these questions. But it's not that simple. These things never are. People make mistakes, people skirt responsibility, and people fall down. And sometimes, they never find a way to pull themselves back up.

That's the story of Chyna.

EDIT: And now her death will largely be overshadowed by the tragic death of Prince. It's almost fitting that even her passing would quickly be forgotten by the public. It's just heartbreaking.

a Chyna era um nome tão grande na Attitude Era que a WWE pensou mesmo em fazê-la ganhar o King of The Ring e/ou até o WWF Championship certa altura.

 

já para não falar que ganhou o IC Championship e é uma das fundadoras dos DX.

 

não vejo nome maior que ela enquanto 'Diva' ou lutadora feminina na WWE. não pelas suas in-ring skills como tá aí acima não eram nada de especial, mas pela importância e influência que teve nas mulheres e na própria Attitude Era.
