Mister Master Publicado 15 Dezembro 2017 Tema oficial do evento: WWE Champion AJ Styles vs. Jinder Mahal AJ Styles shocked the world by returning to the mountaintop and becoming WWE Champion for the second time by taking down Jinder Mahal during an edge-of-your-seat title bout in the U.K. several weeks ago on SmackDown LIVE. And Jinder wants his title back. As The Phenomenal One headed into a Champion vs. Champion clash with Universal Champion Brock Lesnar at Survivor Series, Mahal promised to exercise his rematch clause once The Beast was finished with Styles. Lesnar did indeed overcome Styles at WWE's fall classic — though it was a closer fight than Jinder probably expected — and The Modern Day Maharaja was quick to rub it in the champion's face on the first SmackDown LIVE after the dream match went down. Styles was all for having their title match then and there, but Mahal decided instead to bide his time and wait until WWE Clash of Champions for the championship bout. The WWE Universe might have considered it unwise for Mahal to afford Styles the extra time to rest and prepare, but as everyone knows, The Modern Day Maharaja has upended conventional wisdom before. SmackDown Tag Team Champions The Usos vs. The New Day vs. Shelton Benjamin & Chad Gable vs. Rusev & Aiden English (Fatal 4-Way Match) During a night where every title is on the line, SmackDown Tag Team Champions The Usos will defend the gold in a Fatal 4-Way Match at WWE Clash of Champions this Sunday, streaming live on WWE Network. There is no love lost between Jimmy & Jey Uso and Kofi Kingston, Big E & Xavier Woods. Though the two teams seem to have developed mutual respect, they were recently engaged in one of the most heated rivalries in history, punctuated by a brutal match contested inside the horrifying confines of Hell in a Cell that saw Jimmy & Jey win the titles. And while they may respect the twins, The New Day will undoubtedly hold nothing back in their quest to become five-time Tag Team Champions. And then there's Shelton Benjamin & Chad Gable, the mat-wrestling mavens who defeated The Hype Bros, Breezango & The Ascension to earn a title opportunity against The Usos. Benjamin & Gable went all-out in their pursuit of the SmackDown Tag Team Titles in a championship bout several weeks ago, with Gable taking out the knee of Jey Uso to give his team a win by count-out – so they did not win the titles. However, after claiming a win over Jimmy & Jey, the grapplers believe that they are entitled to a championship rematch. They'll get their opportunity at WWE Clash of Champions. Which brings us to "Rusev Day!" Following a huge victory over The New Day on the Dec. 5 edition of SmackDown LIVE, Commissioner Shane McMahon and General Manager Daniel Bryan determined that Rusev & Aiden English should be added the SmackDown Tag Team Championship showdown, meaning The Usos will now be defend their titles against Rusev & English, The New Day and Chad Gable & Shelton Benjamin in what is sure to be a wild Fatal 4-Way Match. There will be four Superstars in the ring at all times until there's a pinfall or a submission and each competitor is only able to tag their partner. Who will leave Boston with the SmackDown Tag Team Titles? United States Champion Baron Corbin vs. Bobby Roode vs. Dolph Ziggler (Triple Threat Match) When Bobby Roode challenged Baron Corbin for the United States Title on SmackDown LIVE, The Lone Wolf replied with a curt, "No." He might end up wishing he had taken the offer. At WWE Clash of Champions, a night where every championship is on the line, The Lone Wolf will now face two challengers for his title: Roode and, in a surprising twist, Dolph Ziggler, who has been a thorn in the side of The Glorious One since his debut late into the summer. The title match provides ample opportunity for both Superstars to reassert themselves. Roode came up short as part of Team SmackDown at Survivor Series, and Ziggler hasn't been seen since losing a 2-out-of-3-Falls Match to The Glorious One on Halloween, a night he openly wondered what would be next for his career. Corbin, meanwhile, is coming to the bout from an unexpected place of strength. The Lone Wolf is the only Superstar in the match who won at Survivor Series, knocking off then-Intercontinental Champion The Miz after a lengthy back-and-forth over social media where The A-Lister questioned Corbin's commitment and talent. Having vindicated himself, it seems Corbin felt his work was done. Clearly, it's just getting started. SmackDown Women's Champion Charlotte Flair vs. Natalya (Lumberjack Match) As first revealed by Byron Saxton in an exclusive video from SmackDown LIVE's tour through Mexico and Peru, Natalya will look to recapture the SmackDown Women's Championship from Charlotte Flair at WWE Clash of Champions, a night where every title will be on the line. WWE.com has since learned that showdown will be a Lumberjack Match! Standing firmly at the top of Team Blue since winning the title from Naomi at SummerSlam, Natalya assumed there was no Superstar capable of dethroning her, but Charlotte disproved her rival's theory in a big way when she knocked the crown off the head of The Queen of Hart(less) on the final SmackDown LIVE before Survivor Series to become a six-time Women's Champion. Charlotte claimed the title in her hometown, where her father, two-time WWE Hall of Famer Ric Flair, was on hand to surprise The Queen after her moment of triumph, making for one of the most emotional victories in blue brand history. Five days later, Charlotte followed up her incredible title win by taking down Raw Women's Champion Alexa Bliss in a classic showdown at Survivor Series, the one night of the year when Raw and SmackDown Superstars meet in head-to-head competition for brand supremacy. In the wake of Survivor Series, Natalya wasted little time reengaging the Queen City titleholder on an episode of SmackDown LIVE in her contractually obligated rematch. However, before a winner could be decided in what was shaping up as another epic title bout between the two, NXT Superstars Ruby Riott, Liv Morgan and Sarah Logan suddenly appeared from the crowd and executed a surprise attack on both Superstars, leaving Charlotte and Natalya down on the canvas. Though the titleholder and the former champion appeared to put their differences aside to form a temporary alliance alongside Naomi to combat The Riott Squad in a Six-Woman Tag Team Match, things went south in a hurry when Natalya suddenly hopped off the apron and walked out on her partners, leaving Charlotte and Naomi high and dry. As a result, it now it appears that all groves are off for the last pay-per-view of 2017. As if the situation was not volatile enough, SmackDown LIVE General Manager Daniel Bryan decided to make the highly-anticipated title rematch into a Lumberjack Match, opening the door for the likes of The Riott Squad, Carmella, Lana and Tamina to play a crucial role in the pay-per-view equation. Randy Orton & Shinsuke Nakamura vs. Kevin Owens & Sami Zayn (Shane McMahon and Daniel Bryan as special guest referees) Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn will be fighting for their WWE careers at WWE Clash of Champions when they battle Randy Orton & Shinsuke Nakamura in a crucial tag team showdown. And not one, but two special guest referees will be on hand to make sure the right outcome occurs. Those referees will be SmackDown LIVE Commissioner Shane McMahon and Daniel Bryan. Shane-O-Mac and Owens have been at each other's throats for months, and the animosity between the two exploded when KO savagely attacked Mr. McMahon and later slugged it out with Shane in a brutal Hell in a Cell Match that saw Zayn shockingly help KO survive – and win. After reforming their friendship, Owens and Zayn made the situation even worse by attacking their boss at Survivor Series and helping cause the demise of SmackDown LIVE in the Men's 5-on-5 Traditional Survivor Series Elimination Tag Team Match. The SmackDown LIVE Commissioner nearly fired the bitter Superstars for their treacherous actions on an episode of the blue brand, but after Shane left the arena, General Manger Daniel Bryan decided not to execute that order and instead made the pair face The New Day in a Lumberjack Match. On the Nov. 28 episode of SmackDown LIVE, McMahon "barred Zayn from ringside" in a No Disqualification Match between Owens and The Viper. However, the sneaky Zayn once again managed to work his way into the mix by taking the stipulation literally and only attacking Orton with a steel chair at the top of the stage and away from ringside to help Owens pick up the victory. The ongoing unruliness from Owens & Zayn earned them a tag team match at WWE Clash of Champions against Orton and a partner of his choosing. Unfortunately for them, they soon learned that The Viper's partner will be the dangerous Shinsuke Nakamura. Shane then added his name to the marquee as the special guest referee, including the vital stipulation that a loss for Owens & Zayn will result in them being dismissed from all of WWE. Then, five days before the event, Bryan appointed himself the second Special Guest Referee for Sunday's high-stakes tag match to ensure a fair outcome. Can Owens & Zayn find a way to slip out of WWE Clash of Champions the victors? Or, will Orton & Nakamura prove to be too much for the dastardly duo to handle? Breezango vs. The Bludgeon Brothers This is going "2B" good. Breezango have finally solved the case — well, really, The Ascension solved it and sort of goaded them into accepting the results — and now they'll face off with their tormentors, The Bludgeon Brothers, at WWE Clash of Champions this Sunday at 8 ET/5 PT, streaming live on the award-winning WWE Network. For months on "The Fashion Files," Fandango & Tyler Breeze have been haunted by unseen aggressors who trashed their offices, stole their briefcase and chained them to a bathroom wall, with only one overarching clue as to their foes' identities: "2B." The Ascension, self-appointed best friends of the glamorous gumshoes, figured out pretty quickly that The Bludgeon Brothers, Harper & Rowan, were behind these attacks. However, The Fashion Police refused to listen to the former NXT Tag Team Champions and went so far as to allow them to sacrifice themselves in an apparent poisonous gas attack. Lo and behold, Konnor & Viktor survived and resurfaced at their own funeral to provide Breezango with the final clue — two mallets — and reiterate that Breeze and 'Dango had to face The Bludgeon Brothers to truly close their case. Given that Harper & Rowan have reinvented themselves as hammer-swinging titans who scorch the earth in their wake, the dapper detectives were obviously not raring to square up with them. But, they decided, if it got The Ascension to stop talking about it, they'd give it a shot. Only one team will "B" victorious. Zack Ryder vs. Mojo Rawley At WWE Clash of Champions Kickoff, Zack Ryder will battle former tag team partner Mojo Rawley in an ultra-personal showdown. The Hype Bros have certainly had their highs and lows since joining forces as one of the most hyped tag team in some time, but the lovable duo's greatest low came when a frustrated Rawley suddenly attacked Long Island Iced-Z from behind several weeks ago after a loss to The Bludgeon Brothers, ending their partnership in painful fashion. In the weeks that followed, Rawley continued his assault on The Ultimate Broski on social media, until Ryder finally challenged his former friend to go head-to-head this Sunday.
