45roma Publicado 28 Outubro 2012 (editado) Newly implicated in the "AJ scandal" that forced Ms. Lee to resign as Raw's General Manager Monday, John Cena will face questions asked directly by the WWE Universe during the live WWE Hell in a Cell Pre-Show Sunday. Fans will be able to submit questions via Twitter, Tout and Facebook, using the hashtag #CenaPreShow. The Pre-Show — which will stream live on WWE.com, Facebook.com/WWE and YouTube.com/WWE starting at 7:30 p.m. ET/4:30 p.m. PT — will mark Cena's first appearance before the WWE Universe since "the AJ scandal" became public. Questions need not be limited to the embattled now-former GM, though. AJ resigned as Raw's GM hours after being called into an impromptu meeting with the WWE Board of Directors Monday. In resigning, AJ left a post that she held since July 23. Her temporary successor, Managing Supervisor Vickie Guerrero, later accused AJ of having an affair with a Superstar, and WWE cameras caught AJ informing Cena that he was the alleged Superstar. Cena has outright denied claims of an affair, saying only that he and AJ had a "business meeting" the week before. AJ has concurred with his account. However, on Sunday, before the WWE Hell in a Cell pay-per-view, the WWE Universe will get its chance to ask the hard questions of the Cenation leader. What will happen when the 12-time World Champion, who was already engulfed in a volatile rivalry with WWE Champion CM Punk before the "AJ scandal" broke, faces the scrutiny of the WWE Universe? Don't miss out on this high-stakes event, when it streams live Sunday, beginning at 7:30 p.m. ET/4:30 p.m. PT. At Hell in a Cell, Sheamus will face literally the biggest challenge of his nearly seven-month World Heavyweight Championship reign when he takes on Big Show. The World's Largest Athlete earned the title opportunity by defeating Randy Orton on SmackDown. (The Viper was reeling from a backstage assault by Alberto Del Rio). Now, Big Show is in line for the same title that he lost in 45 seconds last December. On the Oct. 1 episode of Raw, the two competitors faced each other in an unfamiliar setting — a World Championship Debate that pitted The Great White against The World's Largest Athlete. Answering questions posed by the WWE Universe on Twitter and Tout, Sheamus and Big Show debated a variety of topics, ranging from whose finishing maneuver is more dangerous to who will walk out of Hell in a Cell with the World Heavyweight Championship. The exchange was heated, to say the least, and at one point, The World's Largest Athlete even destroyed his podium while arguing a point against The Great White. The debate ended in a standoff between the champion and his towering challenger, leading Big Show to exit the ring. While the debate ended in silence, the meeting between the two Superstars at Hell in a Cell will be anything but silent. The Sheamus vs. Big Show matchup carries major intrigue. The Celtic Warrior and The World's Largest Athlete have never crossed paths in singles competition, and the WWE Universe is salivating to see WWE's two most destructive super-heavyweights lock horns. Also, both Superstars possess knockout power: Sheamus prefers booting opponents' heads off with the Brogue Kick, while Big Show caves in faces with the WMD. Will one of these lethal strikes prove more damning than the other? Moreover, Big Show has a big chip on his shoulder, and it relates directly to the title around Sheamus' waist. Big Show had almost no time to celebrate his World Heavyweight Championship win over Mark Henry at WWE Tables, Ladders and Chairs event last year, thanks to Daniel Bryan, who cashed in his Money in the Bank championship contract unannounced and ended Big Show's reign in less than a minute. The irony is that Bryan went on to lose that same title to Sheamus in a blistery 18 seconds at WrestleMania XXVIII. Big Show now seems almost embarrassed that The Celtic Warrior so handily dismantled the very Superstar who beat him in less than 60 seconds. Since winning the Royal Rumble Match in January, Sheamus has carved out a niche of invincibility. With Big Show entering the title picture just now, is it possible that The Great White has only appeared unbeatable because he has avoided the biggest dog in the hunt? On SmackDown, Big Show described himself as the only Superstar on the roster capable of defeating Sheamus, and no matter how much the "Sons of Sheamus" may disagree, Big Show could have a point. Over the course of this summer, The Celtic Warrior's double-tough constitution allowed him to survive multiple sneak attacks by Del Rio (and, in turn, prolonged exposure to The Mexican Aristocrat's Cross Armbreaker). Sheamus also matched wits with veteran Chris Jericho, and he overcame super-heavyweight Tensai. But as the World Heavyweight Champion, The Great White has not encountered the punching power of Big Show. Sheamus' grit and determination have been put to the test repeatedly, but his jaw has not yet been the target of Big Show's precision strike. That is not to say the dominant World Heavyweight Champion is anything but eager to test himself against the angry giant. After all, The Celtic Warrior knows a thing or two about knockout power. As the keeper of the Brogue Kick, Sheamus has blown by one challenger after another. In Big Show, however, Sheamus faces a taller hurdle than ever before. The World Heavyweight Champion's prized finishing maneuver might not even reach the 7-footer's jawline, let alone prove effective against the monster. If the Brogue Kick fails to connect, can Sheamus rely on his other offensive options, such as the Cloverleaf submission hold or the White Noise, to do the trick? It is hard enough to picture Sheamus lacing his arms around the massive tree-trunk legs of Big Show, never mind positioning the 440-plus-pounder for the inverse slam known as White Noise. On top of that, a more-than-peripheral concern for the World Heavyweight Champion is "Mr. Money in the Bank" Dolph Ziggler's promise to cash in his championship contract and win the World Heavyweight Title at Hell in a Cell. Will The Showoff make good on his guarantee? Until the pay-per-view, the WWE Universe can only speculate about the possibilities. On Oct. 28, at 8 ET/5 PT, 17 years to the month that Big Show debuted and won the WCW Championship, The World's Largest Athlete will again try to score championship gold. Has Sheamus finally met his match? With a crucial victory over Rey Mysterio & Sin Cara on Raw, Team Rhodes Scholars won the Tag Team Title No. 1 Contenders' Tournament to earn a title opportunity against Team Hell No at WWE Hell in a Cell Oct. 28. Now that they have worked their way through WWE's stacked tag team division, will the arrogant duo of Cody Rhodes & Damien Sandow be able to take advantage of Kane & Daniel Bryan's clearly dysfunctional partnership and leave Atlanta the new WWE Tag Team Champions? The matchup serves as an interesting experiment in tag team chemistry, for Team Hell No and Team Rhodes Scholars fall on opposite ends of the spectrum when it comes to cohesiveness. On one end are the current titleholders, who remain steadily at each other's throats most of the time, only to get on the same page long enough to squeeze by opponents. On the other end of the spectrum are Rhodes & Sandow, who have become fast friends since they began teaming in late summer, despite their incredibly egocentric personalities as singles competitors. Having been battered by a chairs-wielding Team Hell No on the Sep. 21 edition of SmackDown, Rhodes & Sandow approach the WWE Tag Team Championship Match fully cognizant of the havoc that Kane & Bryan are capable of when they become consumed with anger. If that back-bruising experience was any indication of what is to expect from a unified Team Hell No, Rhodes & Sandow better hope that Kane & Bryan's partnership degrades further before Oct. 28. And, judging by Team Hell No's recent interactions, Rhodes & Sandow's dream may become a reality. Though Kane & Bryan appear to be developing a big brother/little brother dynamic, Team Hell No still ends many of its conversations with "Yes"/"No" screaming matches and arguments over which Superstar — singular — is the WWE Tag Team Champions. Plus, on the Oct. 22 edition of Raw, after they became No. 1 Contenders to the WWE Tag Team Titles, Team Rhodes Scholars attacked Team Hell No after Bryan lost to Dolph Ziggler and Kane lost to Big Show. In spite of their youth, Rhodes & Sandow are cagey competitors nonetheless. Add in their proclivity for bending the rules, and Team Rhodes Scholar just may have the tools necessary to exploit the champions' weaknesses. Rhodes & Sandow's competency as a tag team is demonstrable. They plowed through Jey & Jimmy Uso in the first round of the tag team tournament, fought past Zack Ryder & Santino Marella in the second round, and put away Mysterio & Sin Cara in the tourney finals. For a team with relatively few matches under its belt, Team Rhodes Scholars appear to be the epitome of tag team continuity. (Not hurting the matter, assuredly, is Rhodes' deep experience in the tag ranks; prior to teaming with Sandow, he held four tag team championships with three different partners.) Tag team enthusiasts continue to wonder how long Kane & Bryan's rocky relationship can sustain their championship reign. At WWE Hell in a Cell, the endlessly condescending Team Rhodes Scholars will attempt to settle that debate once and for all. Find out who will leave Atlanta with the WWE Tag team Titles on Sunday, Oct. 28, at 8 ET/5 PT, only on pay-per-view. At WWE Hell in a Cell, Randy Orton will face off with Alberto Del Rio in a fierce battle between two of the most cunning Superstars in WWE. The fuse on their explosive encounter was lit on the Sept. 28 edition of SmackDown. After being RKO'd earlier in the evening by Orton, Del Rio unleashed a furious backstage assault on The Viper, just as the target of his rage was readying himself for a World Title No. 1 Contender's Match against Big Show. Not only did the attack ultimately contribute to Orton falling to The World's Largest Athlete, but also The Mexican Aristocrat would immediately rekindle his onslaught as the smoke cleared — a display captured by WWE.com after SmackDown went off the air. The smug Del Rio emerged the following week with his own impression of WWE's Apex Predator, designed to add insult to injury and ridicule one of the most calculating grapplers ever to step through the ropes. This drew the ire of The Viper, who returned to the Oct. 12 edition of SmackDown to execute a surprise assault of his own, punishing Del Rio before RKO'ing Ricardo Rodriguez onto the announce table as his adversary fled his wrath. As a result of the growing animosity between them, a match was announced during the following Monday's Raw. It's fitting that the showdown between two of the most ruthlessly sly Superstars in the squared circle will occur in a pay-per-view containing the word "Hell," as it will surely prove as merciless and it will be hazardous. Since his emergence in August 2010, Del Rio's exploits have been well documented in his constant quest to reach glory by any means necessary — from engineering long-standing injuries to the likes of Rey Mysterio and Christian, to locking John Cena out of a Triple Threat WWE Championship Hell in a Cell Match in 2011, to having World Heavyweight Champion Sheamus' Brogue Kick banned in 2012. While he is certainly well-to-do and completely arrogant, there is no denying that Del Rio is an extremely dangerous competitor, one who has already made Orton tap out on the Aug. 24 episode of SmackDown with his dreaded Cross Armbreaker. That is exactly the type of opponent that Orton prefers to feast upon. The nine-time World Champion is about as brutal as they come, known as much for his ruthless brawls outside the ropes — against the likes of Wade Barrett, Cody Rhodes and Triple H — as he is for the aggressive wars he has waged inside the ring. The serpentine Superstar thrives on conflict and can end any threat the second his opponent lets his guard down with three little letters: RKO! Which of the two extremely treacherous warriors will rise above? Find out Oct. 28 at 8 ET/5 PT, only on pay-per-view. The Miz has lit a fire under new Intercontinental Champion Kofi Kingston, and at WWE Hell in a Cell, he will look to extinguish it. Choosing to invoke his rematch clause on the Oct. 28 pay-per-view, The Awesome One will try to rebound from consecutive losses to Kingston, including losing the Intercontinental Title on the Oct. 17 edition of WWE Main Event. In dethroning The Miz, The Dreadlocked Dynamo seemingly responded to the smug Triple Crown Champion's claims that Kingston is a "B player" who will never reach his full potential. On "Miz TV," The Miz clearly struck a nerve when he referred to Kingston as "just a guy who says 'Boom! Boom! Boom!' " In turn, The Boom Squad General nearly knocked The Miz's block off twice in a 24-hour period. By unleashing a particularly trenchant Trouble in Paradise on The Awesome One during the Oct. 15 Raw — a clip that will live on forever — the high-energy but easygoing Kingston showed a level of aggression that sometimes eludes him. Though the gash over The Awesome One's right eye will be long gone by the time he and Kingston lock up on the Oct. 28, the kick that caused the contusion will still be fresh in The Miz's mind. (WATCH) Fresher, still, will be the memory of The Boom Squad General dethroning The Miz as Intercontinental Champion two days later on WWE Main Event. The circumstances surrounding the title rematch, however, will be far different from those that enveloped their two previous encounters. First off, unlike their impromptu collision on Oct. 15, which stemmed from a challenge that Kingston issued earlier that night on "Miz TV," The Miz has plenty of time to prepare for their Oct. 28 showdown. Second, in contrast to their WWE Main Event title match, which took place less than 48 hours after Kingston delivered his memorably vigorous kick, The Awesome One's health will presumably be much closer to 100 percent at WWE Hell in a Cell. Moreover, is it possible that the consecutive losses to Kingston have actually informed The Miz's game plan for Oct. 28? Might he be heading into that contest a smarter, more sentient competitor, thanks to his recent experiences against Kingston? The newly crowned Intercontinental Champion, on the other hand, is riding high going into his first pay-per-view title defense. After months in a WWE Tag Team Championship duo with R-Truth, Kingston has refocused his attention to singles competition, and it has not taken him long to accumulate what is now his fourth reign with the Intercontinental Title. With his potential in the singles ranks seemingly unlimited, will The Dreadlocked Dynamo allow a rematch with The Miz to stall his progress? Regardless of the outcome, the WWE Universe excitedly waits to see the most heated chapter yet in this rapidly escalating rivalry. What started out as a perceived snub of The Miz by Larry King on Raw has quickly morphed into one of the most thrilling matchups in all of WWE. At WWE Hell in a Cell, live on pay-per-view Oct. 28 at 8 ET/5 PT, the Boom Squad and the Mizfits will bear witness to an all-important third match in this riveting series. In the midst of an all-out femme fatale melee erupting on Raw and wild accusations being tossed around week after week, General Manager Booker T devised a solution on SmackDown to try and end the chaos that has consumed WWE's Divas division: Eve, Kaitlyn and Layla will battle in a Triple Threat Match for Eve's Divas Title at Hell in a Cell. Ever since a mysterious blonde attacker brutally injured Kaitlyn at Night of Champions, rendering her unable to compete in her planned title match, there has been an ongoing search to find the guilty party. Amid the controversy that has rocked the Divas division and the Booker T administration to its very core, Kaitlyn herself has not been shy about stating she suspects current Divas Champion Eve is the culprit. After all, it was Eve who stepped in at Night of Champions, assuming Kaitlyn's No. 1 contender status and going on to defeat Layla to begin her third reign with the butterfly-emblazoned title. A baffling blond wig, Theodore Long's discovery of incriminating information on Eve's unattended iPad and the involvement of alleged hit woman Aksana all deepened the unsolved mystery. Questions such as "Who attacked Kaitlyn?" "Did Eve hire Aksana?" and "Could anyone really get on Eve's iPad and frame her?" all led to no concrete answers or resolution. Now with the decree by the GM Booker T, the three Divas at the center of this explosive and personal conflict will settle their differences in the squared circle. At first glance, it would appear that Kaitlyn and Layla have more scores to settle with Eve than with each other. "The Hybrid Diva" and the insatiable former champion not only have an established friendship and have both been open about their animosity toward Eve, but they also have recent experience teaming together. That could make the match evolve into something resembling a Two-on-One Handicap Match against Eve. Or maybe not. Despite Layla and Kaitlyn's camaraderie, the WWE Universe should not forget that the two Divas were fully prepared to fight each other for the title at Night of Champions before the attack on Kaitlyn changed the course of the Divas division. Additionally, Layla did accidently hit Kaitlyn with a bombshell kick on the Oct. 26 edition of SmackDown. Could that plant a seed of mistrust or caution in Kaitlyn, who is surely eager for her first championship win? Alliances have a way of being thrown out the window when titles are on the line. Will Layla and Kaitlyn's friendship last long enough to at least wear the champion down? That is a tall order in and of itself. Eve has been a dominant titleholder for a reason. The Brazilian jiu-jitsu–trained beauty not only has intensity, versatility and offensive firepower in nearly every area, but she's also already successfully defended her title against each of her two opponents in singles competition on the Oct. 8 and 15 episodes of Raw, respectively. As an opportunistic and ruthless reigning champion, Eve will do anything it takes to hold onto her precious title. She may indeed have to do anything and everything to defeat two hungry challengers. The cloud of controversy that has hung over the Divas division for more than one month could finally pass. But there can be only one Divas Champion, so which stunner will be all smiles after Hell in a Cell? When the Winner of the 2006 Diva Search (Layla), Winner of the 2007 Diva Search (Eve) and the WWE NXT season three winner (Kaitlyn) lock horns in a Divas Championship Triple Threat Match at the Hell in a Cell pay-per-view on Sunday, Oct. 28, all bets are off. WWE Champion CM Punk will have plenty of opportunity to earn the WWE Universe's respect at WWE Hell in a Cell when he puts the WWE Title on the line against the undefeated Ryback on Oct. 28 as John Cena and the WWE Universe chant "Feed Me More!" At the contract signing on the Oct. 15 edition of Raw — with Mr. McMahon and Paul Heyman looking on — Cena declared Punk would be haunted by three words in the coming weeks: "Feed me more!" Then, with the WWE Universe whipped into a frenzy, and before the ink could dry on the contract, Ryback slammed Punk's head onto the contract table and Shell Shocked the stunned champion. With that exclamation point, Ryback has clearly drawn a line in the sand between him and his Hell in a Cell opponent. (PHOTOS) Now, the entire WWE Universe looks ahead to Oct. 28. On that date, the most dominant WWE Champion in years will be locked inside Hell in a Cell with the most unrelenting force in WWE today. In Ryback, The Second City Saint faces an insatiable beast that has been utterly unstoppable in his rookie year. With his days of destroying locals two at a time seemingly in the distant past, Ryback has displayed his ability to hang with more established Superstars. He has plowed through Intercontinental Champion The Miz, dismantled former WWE Tag Team Champions Primo & Epico two-on-one and toppled the mighty Tensai. Ryback has also muscled his way into Punk's line of vision, stepping between the WWE Champion and Hall of Fame announcer Jim Ross one week, and interrupting Punk's bout against Mr. McMahon on the Oct. 8 Raw. But will Ryback's path of destruction be enough to carry him through the first official title match of his career, which happens to be against the most important titleholder in the land, WWE Champion Punk? Ryback has warned that he is a shark swimming with dolphins, but will the same be true when he faces the biggest test of his young career? Or will The Second City Saint — who has proven his resourcefulness time and time again — figure out a strategy to escape Hell in a Cell with his title reign, and life, intact? Will Punk manage to see day No. 344 as WWE Champion? At WWE Hell in a Cell, which airs live on pay-per-view Oct. 28 at 8 ET/5 PT, the WWE Universe will find out.
