The Celtics reportedly offered Rajon Rondo and Ray Allen to the Pistons for Rodney Stuckey, Richard Hamilton and Tayshaun Prince.

League sources told Yahoo! Sports of the deal, which reportedly never made it past lower level executives as Detroit rejected the offer immediately.

The offer was made this past weekend.

One Eastern Conference executive told the Boston Globe that the latest trade rumor included Rajon Rondo and forward Brian Scalabrine going to Memphis for guard Mike Conley and swingman Rudy Gay.

 

But an NBA GM said that he asked Celtics president Danny Ainge about Rondo and Ainge said he didn't want to trade him.

The Grizzlies have engaged in advanced discussions with the Knicks that will Darko Milicic in New York by week's end, unless Memphis winds up needing Milicic's expiring contract in another draft-related trade.

Sources say that the proposed swap would send Milicic to the Knicks for Quentin Richardson and cash. Milicic is scheduled to earn $7.5 million next season in the final year of a three-year deal he received from the Griz in 2007; Richardson has a player option for next season at $8.7 million.

Via Twitter, Alan Hahn reports that the Knicks may send cash to the Timberwolves for the 28th pick overall.

The deal would give the Knicks the 8th and 28th picks in Thursday's draft.

Hahn reports that the deal is not done but is an "option, one of many."
