Estamos fisicamente separados do Continente e isso faz com que, por exemplo, faça todo o sentido teremos uma fiscalidade própria bem como uma autonomia na gestão dos benefícios. Outro exemplo é a gestão da saúde que é muito própria. Cá, em 3 horas (vá, devia ser assim pelo menos) consegues passar um doente de Beja para um hospital de Lisboa. Nos Açores, por exemplo, em 3h só consegues meter um doente do Centro de Saúde da Graciosa no hospital da Terceira. Depois são precisas mais umas quantas horas para vir para o Continente. Posto isto, e é mesmo ignorância minha (na altura do referendo tinha uns 10 anos, estava mais preocupado em saber como jogava o Barça o Van Gaal) quais seriam os benefícios que regiões como o Alentejo, Algarve, teriam.
