Estive a meter Under The Dome em dia, ainda não tinha visto nada da 3ª season. E f*da-se :lol: quando pensava que não podiam fazer pior...

I usually don't post here, but I'm curious about one of the major character arcs of this season. I'm sure I'll get a bunch of "LOL like this show will ever explain that!" responses, and I'm pretty sure the show won't actually explain anything, but let's try to give them the benefit of the doubt here and assume there might actually be an answer, other than "shitty writing."

 

In the first episode Barbie was the only one who thought something wasn't right in the matrix (well, except for Ben.). Especially the scene where Junior entered the matrix; Hunter remembers meeting him in Africa, or wherever, INSTANTLY and Barbie just stands there going "wait, you're dead. I saw your body." Then he started noticing the same guy everywhere, and remembered that the terrorist he found was the same guy as the gardener in Chester's Mill, with some prompting from Ben to be fair.

 

So, now that we're 5 episodes in, why is Barbie still so controlled by the dome? Joe returned to normal. So did Sam. More importantly, so did Norrie, who broke up with Joe in the matrix and basically started a fling with Hunter. Now, in real world, Norrie cut things off with Hunter and went back to Joe, who seems to be unaffected from the dome. It's basically the exact same story as Barbie's arc; Julia's dead in the matrix, so he moves on to a fling with Eva. Now he's out of the matrix and Eva's there with him, but so is Julia who is completely unaffected by the dome. This isn't even accounting for the fact that in the matrix Barbie apparently only met Christine at the 1 year anniversary, which was essentially right before Jim destroyed the egg and set everyone free, so he has no reason to believe anything she says due to his complete lack of prior relationship with her as compared to everyone else who lived with her for 1 year. (This also raises the question of why Junior listens to her so much when he was the last to enter the matrix, but my theory on that one is that Junior has the emptiest brain, so it was easy to replace it with the alien thoughts...)

 

So, my question is; why has the strongest-resister in the matrix become so weak and easily manipulated in the real world, while various other characters are breaking the dome's hold on them?

Mr Robot

 

 

O cota lá do grupo lá para o fim do episódio fala com o Mr Robot. Acho que foi a única vez na série em que o alguém fala directamene para ele, sem haver hipótese de ser para outra pessoa. Ou secalhar estava lá o gorodo, mas acho que isto não vai ser Tyler Durden style.

É como The Wire, True Detective, Game of Thrones, Lost e esse tipo de séries? Não, nem de perto nem de longe. Mas também não tenta ser.

 

Da para entreter, tem algumas personagens fixes e tem umas historias com mitos sobrenaturais que até são bacanas.

Yap, fui agora confirmar e o Gods of the Arena foi para o ar em Janeiro e Fevereiro de 2011 e o Andy morreu em Setembro desse ano.

É pena. Gostei mais do Andy do que do Liam embora ache que tenham estado muito bem ambos.
