Mister Master Publicado 6 Junho 2016 Temas oficiais do evento: NXT Champion Samoa Joe vs. Finn Bálor (Steel Cage Match) History will be made on June 8 at NXT TakeOver: The End... when NXT Champion Samoa Joe defends the title against former champion Finn Bálor in NXT's first Steel Cage Match. NXT General Manager William Regal made the announcement during a contract signing at the WWE Performance Center that was broadcast on Facebook Live just three days after a wild brawl erupted between champion and challenger at a Live Event in Portland, Oregon. There, the entire NXT roster had to clear out of the locker room in order to separate the fierce rivals. According to Regal, the decision to turn the bout into a Steel Cage Match was done to ensure the safety of NXT fans and guarantee a definitive conclusion to the rivalry. The highly anticipated bout marks the third consecutive championship match between Joe and Bálor at an NXT TakeOver, and the fourth duel between the two Superstars over NXT's top prize. To say they are familiar, if evenly matched, foes would do a disservice to what has become one of NXT's all-time most intense rivalries. After going 0-for-2 in the narrowly decided TakeOver matches, the Samoan submission machine broke Bálor's historic 292-day reign as NXT Champion on April 21 at a Live Event in Lowell, Massachusetts, far from the bright lights of WWE Network. Since losing the title, Bálor has been singularly focused on reasserting himself as champion. One common denominator of this championship series is that each brawl has been more explosive than the one before it. The addition of an unforgiving steel cage only promises that trend will continue on June 8. Who will benefit more from the steely environment: Joe or Bálor? NXT Women's Champion Asuka vs. Nia Jax NXT Women's Champion Asuka has decimated every Superstar who has stepped her way. However, at NXT TakeOver: The End... on Wednesday, June 8, The Empress of Tomorrow will face a threat of a whole new variety in the powerful Nia Jax. The towering challenger is perhaps the lone woman to rival Asuka in terms of intimidation and sheer dominance. Case in point? Her May 18 dismantling of Bayley. Though the beloved former champion was in line for a rematch against Asuka, Bayley had the displeasure of running into the human Humvee named Nia Jax first. Jax thrashed the all-heart Bayley in their one-on-one encounter, rendering NXT's most huggable competitor unable to compete on June 8. With Asuka's presumptive challenger out of action, General Manager William Regal scheduled a Triple Threat No. 1 Contender's Match between Jax, Carmella and Alexa Bliss on May 25, which Jax won decisively. The fireworks didn't end there, as Asuka entered the ring to confront her TakeOver opponent, and neither Superstar showed as much as a glimmer of trepidation. Jax did, however, issue a warning, telling Asuka that she would drop her next time the champion gets in her face. The Empress of Tomorrow boasts a world-class array of vicious strikes and seemingly inescapable submission holds, but will her tried-and-true arsenal make a dent against Nia Jax? With big strength and bad will to spare, Jax will no doubt look to seize her all-important opportunity on June 8, especially in light of the fact she fell just short of winning the Women's Title last time she challenged for it, against Bayley in London last December. Who will stand tall when the destroyer Asuka defends her championship against the monstrous Nia Jax? NXT Tag Team Champions American Alpha vs. The Revival American Alpha will face their first major test as NXT Tag Team Champions at NXT TakeOver: The End..., when they defend against the team they dethroned in Dallas, The Revival. Since losing the titles in the Lone Star State, Scott Dawson and Dash Wilder have been in a surly mood. The Revival have demolished every team in their path, including The Hype Bros. Dawson & Wilder made it clear that there is no stopping them until they regain the NXT Tag Team Championship. However, Jason Jordan & Chad Gable are not letting The Revival get into their heads. American Alpha has looked nearly unstoppable since capturing the titles. And when The Revival came out to take a closer look at their match on May 11, Jordan & Gable remained focused and went on to finish off a dominating victory. American Alpha dared Dash & Dawson to get in the ring and fight, but The Revival backed off, saying that they would wait until they got their guaranteed rematch. The Revival won't have to wait much longer, as NXT General Manager William Regal announced that the two teams will square off for the titles at TakeOver. Will the desperate duo of Dash & Dawson reclaim the coveted titles, or can American Alpha show why they're the top dogs in NXT? Shinsuke Nakamura vs. Austin Aries Two of the biggest signings in NXT history will clash for the first time ever at NXT TakeOver: The End…, when Shinsuke Nakamura locks horns with Austin Aries. The two sent shockwaves through the NXT Universe when they arrived earlier this year, with both men making their debuts at TakeOver: Dallas during WrestleMania Week. Aries made his first match in NXT a successful one with a big win over Baron Corbin, while Nakamura bested Sami Zayn in a battle that was declared an instant classic before it was even over. Since then, Nakamura has captured the attention of the NXT Universe like no other competitor, while Aries has, self-admittedly, been flying under the radar. Both men have been undefeated since their NXT debuts, even joining forces in tag team action to dispatch of Blake & Murphy in vicious fashion on May 18. However, any budding friendship between the two ended just one week later, when Aries entered the ring to declare that he wouldn't be flying under the radar anymore. "The Greatest Man That Ever Lived" stated that he was going to be the next NXT Champion, a claim with which Nakamura took issue. The Japanese Superstar interrupted Aries to state that the NXT Title was his for the taking. NXT General Manager took advantage of the situation and made the match for TakeOver, hoping to find out who the better competitor is. Whose perfect record will see its first blemish? Which Superstar will establish himself as the man to beat in NXT? Andrade "Cien" Almas vs. Tye Dillinger NXT's newest Superstar makes his debut at TakeOver: The End… this Wednesday, when Andrade "Cien" Almas takes on "The Perfect 10," Tye Dillinger. Little is known about Almas. Videos that aired on WWE Network show the grappler watching films of himself, wearing a mask and showing off incredible skill in lucha libre. Viewers get a brief glimpse of the hood before Almas removes it, but never get a clear look at the Superstar's face. Discussion surrounding Almas' impending arrival has swept across the NXT Universe on social media, making his debut one of the most anticipated in recent memory. On the other hand, Dillinger has been begging for attention. After getting on a hot streak in the squared circle over the past few weeks, The Perfect 10 believes he should be given a spot on NXT's biggest stage. Dillinger even took to Twitter to ask for a match at TakeOver: The End… NXT General Manager William Regal was more than happy to oblige and give The Perfect 10 what he wanted, putting him up against the mysterious newcomer. And to make sure he takes advantage of the huge opportunity, Dillinger will also be taking questions from the NXT Universe in the Social Media Lounge Wednesday afternoon, just hours before he steps into the ring with Almas. Fans can submit questions on Facebook using the hashtag #AskThePerfect10. Can Dillinger prove that he deserves to be on this (and every) NXT TakeOver? Or will Andrade "Cien" Almas make his debut a memorable one? Compartilhar este post Link para o post
