[TEW2020] What If: WCW Survived

Publicações recomendadas

Spoiler

The meeting starts with Eric Bischoff and Brian Bedol of Fusient Media sitting across from each other in a conference room. Brian is the CEO of Fusient Media, and Eric is the President of World Championship Wrestling (WCW).

Brian: "Eric, I wanted to have this meeting to discuss the current state of WCW. As you know, our company has been struggling to compete with the WWF and Vince McMahon in recent years, and we need to turn things around."

Eric: "I understand, Brian. We've been working hard to bring in new talent and create fresh storylines to bring excitement back to the company and try to match the level of the WWF."

Brian: "That's good to hear, Eric. But I also wanted to talk about some of our established wrestlers, such as Scott Steiner and Bill Goldberg. They have been with the company for a while now, and we need to make sure that they are being used to their full potential."

Eric: "I agree, Brian. Both Steiner and Goldberg are major assets to the company. We've been giving them high-profile matches and pushing them as top-tier wrestlers. They're both over with the crowd and have a lot of momentum behind them."

Brian: "That's good, Eric. But I also want to make sure that we're being strategic about our talent acquisitions. We need to avoid signing wrestlers that might not be the best fit for WCW, like those from ECW or those who are too one-dimensional."

Eric: "I understand, Brian. We're focused on bringing in wrestlers that will appeal to our fans and bring excitement to the company. And also, we're trying to improve the sentiment among the wrestlers backstage, trying to make it a better working environment."

Brian: "I trust your vision for WCW, Eric. And I want you to know that we'll be having periodic performance reviews to make sure that we're on track to achieve our goals. And also, we need to focus on our budget and make sure we have a good financial performance. It's important that we're smart and strategic in how we allocate our resources."

Eric: "I understand, Brian. We'll make sure to keep an eye on our finances and make smart decisions that will benefit the company. And we'll also keep working on improving the internal dynamics of the company, to make sure everyone is on the same page."

The meeting concludes with both Eric and Brian agreeing on the strategies to put in place to help WCW regain its popularity and make sure it is using its talent to the fullest potential. They also agree on the importance of keeping a close eye on the budget and making sure the company is financially stable, and working on making WCW a better working environment for the wrestlers.

   image.pngimage.png

Tony Schiavone | Scott Hudson

Schiavone: "Ladies and gentlemen, welcome back to Monday Nitro! We've been away for a while, but we're back and better than ever. This is a new era for WCW, and we're excited to bring you all the action and drama that you've come to expect from us."

Hudson: "That's right, Tony. We've got a great show lined up for tonight, but it's just the appetizer for the main event. The WCW Big Bang PPV event is coming up, and it's going to be the true relaunch of WCW."

As they are speaking, Eric Bischoff's music hits, and he makes his way to the ring. He enters the ring, grabs a microphone and starts to speak.

Bischoff: "Fans, welcome back to WCW! I want to thank Brian Bedol and Fusient for believing in us, and Fox for giving the fans what they want. This is a new era for WCW, and we're excited to bring you the best wrestling action on television."

Bischoff continues, "I want to take a moment to congratulate Booker T on his big win in the last Monday Nitro before the hiatus, winning the WCW World Heavyweight Championship. But with that victory, he will have to relinquish the United States Championship. But don't worry fans, we have something special planned, a new champion will be crowned at the Big Bang's opening match. That's right, we are going to crown a new United States Champion at the relaunch of WCW at the Big Bang PPV. Don't miss it, fans, it's going to be a night to remember!"

The crowd cheers as Bischoff drops the microphone and leaves the ring, signaling the start of the show.

Mean Gene: "Ric, you have a member of your Magnificient Seven group, Scott Steiner, challenging for the title against the champion, Booker T. What are your thoughts on this match?"

Flair: "Well, Gene, I have to tell you. Scott Steiner is one of the most dominant and powerful wrestlers in the business today. He's been a force to be reckoned with, and I have no doubt that he will walk out of the Big Bang event as the new WCW World Heavyweight Champion. He's been working hard and training for this match, and he's ready to take the title from Booker T. And let me tell you something, when Scott Steiner hits that Steiner Recliner, it's gonna be lights out for the champion!"

Mean Gene: "But, Ric, Booker T has been a dominant champion, and he's proven himself to be a tough opponent. How do you see the match playing out?"

Flair: "Well, Gene, as I said before, Scott Steiner is a force to be reckoned with. He's got the power, the strength, and the determination to win this match. And I promise you, fans, that on Sunday at the Big Bang PPV event, Scott Steiner will become the new WCW World Heavyweight Champion. That's right, Scott Steiner will be the new WCW World Heavyweight Champion, and that's the bottom line because the Nature Boy said so!"

Storm tries to fight back with a few quick strikes of his own, but Rhodes easily counters with a clothesline and a bulldog. He then hits a powerbomb, and goes for the pin, but Storm kicks out at two.

Rhodes then hits a series of elbow drops, and then locks in a figure-four leglock, and Storm quickly taps out. The referee calls for the bell, and Rhodes is declared the winner.

After the break Bill Goldberg makes his way to the ring, the crowd is on their feet cheering as he enters the ring and grabs a microphone.

Goldberg: "Who's next? That's the question that I ask myself every day. Who am I going to destroy next? Who am I going to dominate next? And today, I have an answer for that question. Rick Steiner, you are next!"

The crowd erupts in cheers as Goldberg continues.

Goldberg: "Rick, you may have had some success in the past, but you have never faced anyone like me. I am a machine, and I am relentless. I will not stop until I have crushed you, and left you lying in the ring, defeated and humiliated."

Goldberg pauses for a moment and then continues.

Goldberg: "So, Rick, I want you to know, that at the WCW Big Bang pay-per-view, there will be no mercy, no quarter given. It's going to be a war, and I will come out victorious, because I am the one and only Bill Goldberg. And I promise you, Rick Steiner, you are next!"

The crowd cheers as Booker T continues.

Booker T: "But let's not get it twisted, I didn't get here by luck. I earned this title, and I'll be damned if I'm gonna give it up now. Scott Steiner, you may think you're a powerhouse, but you ain't got what it takes to take this title from me. I've been in the game for a long time, and I know how to play it. And I'll tell you what, don't hate the player, hate the game."

The crowd cheers as Booker T continues.

Booker T: "Scott Steiner, you may have the power and the strength, but you ain't got the heart of a champion. You ain't got the drive and the determination. Foi um daqueles momentos do bot em que fiquei sem saber se usava o lápis azul ou não, mas pessoalmente achei hilariante como one time thing.

Quanto ao show em si, é claramente o mais fraco dos que tenho feito e acaba por ser meio filler por ser na semana do Big Bang, que é suposto ser o verdadeiro arranque da nova WCW. Inicialmente até pensei não postar este show por isso mesmo, mas acabei por o fazer para dar um pouco de contexto das feuds e combates do ppv.

Hulk Hogan and the Ultimate Warrior sign with WWF

In a shocking turn of events, it has been confirmed that Hulk Hogan and the Ultimate Warrior have both signed with the World Wrestling Federation (WWF). Both wrestlers were staples in the wrestling industry during the 80s and 90s and their return is sure to bring excitement and attention to the WWF.

Hogan's signing is a major coup for the WWF, as the company has been looking to bring back some of its iconic stars after the departure of some wrestlers in recent years. Hogan is one of the biggest names in wrestling history, and his return to the ring is sure to bring excitement and attention to the WWF. The Ultimate Warrior, who was known for his high energy and charismatic performances, also returns to the ring after being away for several years. His signing is sure to bring back memories for the older fans, and introduce him to the newer ones.

This news comes as a surprise as it was reported that Eric Bischoff, the new management of WCW, had attempted to sign Hogan back to the company. However, it seems that Hogan has chosen to return to the WWF instead.

This is a significant blow to WCW, as they were in the middle of the Monday Night Wars against the WWF. With Hogan and the Ultimate Warrior returning to the WWF, it will be harder for WCW to compete and retain its audience.

It is not yet known when Hogan and the Ultimate Warrior will make their in-ring debut for the WWF or who their opponents will be. But one thing is for sure, the return of these iconic wrestlers is sure to shake things up in the wrestling world and bring a new level of excitement to the WWF, and make it even harder for WCW to compete in the Monday Night Wars.

Hayabusa's signing is a major coup for WCW, as the company has been struggling to compete with the WWF in recent years. The addition of Hayabusa to the roster is a clear indication that WCW is looking to shake things up and bring in fresh talent to compete with the WWF's high-flying stars.

Hayabusa is expected to make his debut at the upcoming WCW Big Bang pay-per-view, where he will face off against one of WCW's top stars. While it is not yet known who his opponent will be, sources close to the company have indicated that it will be a major match for Hayabusa.

Hayabusa's signing is also a big win for WCW's cruiserweight division, which has been lacking in high-flying and athletic wrestlers in recent years. Hayabusa's unique style is sure to bring excitement to the division and bring new life to the company's cruiserweight division.

This is a huge step for WCW, and Hayabusa's addition is sure to shake things up in the company and bring in a new level

The crowd in the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas is electric as the WCW Big Bang pay-per-view gets underway. The first match of the night is for the United States Championship, and features four of WCW's top contenders: Kanyon, Shane Douglas, Bam Bam Bigelow, and Ernest Miller.

The match starts off with a bang as Bigelow and Miller square off, exchanging heavy blows in the center of the ring. Kanyon and Douglas, meanwhile, look to outsmart each other on the outside. The action is fast-paced and intense, with all four men showing off their impressive athleticism and power.

As the match progresses, Kanyon starts to gain the upper hand, hitting Douglas with a series of high-flying moves and near-falls. But Douglas is able to rally and hit Kanyon with a devastating belly-to-belly suplex, getting a close two count.

The match becomes a free-for-all, as all four men fight for control. Miller and Kanyon begin brawling on the outside, taking each other out of the match. The crowd in Las Vegas erupted in boos as Scott Steiner and Ric Flair arrived to the building in a sleek black limousine. As the two heels stepped out of the car, they were met with a chorus of jeers from the fans. Steiner, who is known for his impressive physique and aggressive in-ring style, flexed for the crowd, while Flair, who is considered one of the greatest wrestlers of all time, smiled and waved to the fans, but it was clear they were not well received.

Tony Schiavone, Mike Tenay and Bobby Heenan, the announce team for the night, jumped at the opportunity to hype the main event, which would see Steiner take on the reigning WCW World Heavyweight Champion, Booker T. Schiavone reminded the audience that this was a rematch from the March 26 edition of Monday Nitro, where Steiner and Booker T had a fierce match in Panama City, Florida. Tenay added that the stakes were higher than ever before as the winner would walk away with the coveted WCW World Heavyweight Championship. Heenan, who is known for his heelish commentary, said that Steiner was the clear favorite and that it was a foregone conclusion that he would win the match.

As Steiner and Flair made their way into the building, the crowd continued to boo, but the two heels paid them no mind, as they were focused on the main event and the opportunity to become the WCW World Heavyweight Champion. The excitement was palpable as the fans eagerly awaited the main event of the night, wondering if Steiner would come out on top or if Booker T would retain his championship.

Mean Gene Okerlund: "Ladies and gentlemen, please welcome the WCW Cruiserweight Champion, Shane Helms!"

(Shane Helms walks into the shot, wearing his Cruiserweight Championship belt and a determined look on his face)

Mean Gene: "Shane, tonight you will be defending your Cruiserweight title against Chavo Guerrero Jr. in what is sure to be an intense and competitive match. How are you feeling going into this match?"

Shane Helms: "Mean Gene, I couldn't be more ready for this match. I've been training hard, and I'm prepared to give it my all. I know Chavo is a tough competitor, but I am confident in my abilities and I know that I will come out on top.

Mean Gene: "Now, last Monday on Nitro, you were part of a six-man tag team match where you and your team lost against Chavo and his team. How do you think this will affect your match tonight?"

Shane Helms: "Mean Gene, that match last Monday was just a fluke. It was just one match and it doesn't define who I am as a wrestler. I have been the Cruiserweight champion for a long time and I have proven myself time and time again. The result of that match doesn't matter, tonight is a new day, and I will come out victorious.

Mean Gene: "What about your teammates 3 Count? Do you think they will be a factor in tonight's match?"

Shane Helms: "Mean Gene, 3 Count is just holding me back. I don't even like love songs! They don't understand the seriousness of this match and the Cruiserweight division. I will prove to the world that I am the best Cruiserweight in WCW and I don't need anyone's help to do it."

Mean Gene: “Well, there you have it folks. Shane Helms is ready and determined to defend his Cruiserweight Championship against Chavo Guerrero Jr. He's made it clear that the result of the six-man tag match from last Monday is irrelevant, and that 3 Count is only holding him down. And as for love songs, he doesn't even like them!”

The match between Shane Helms and Chavo Guerrero was a heated and intense showdown. From the opening bell, Helms used underhanded tactics to gain the upper hand, including raking Chavo's eyes and using the ropes for leverage during pin attempts. Chavo fought back with a series of high-flying maneuvers, including a springboard moonsault and a diving headbutt.

As the match progressed, Helms became increasingly aggressive, targeting Chavo's knee with a series of submission holds. Despite the damage done, Chavo refused to give up and kept fighting back with a flurry of strikes and chops.

In the end, it was Helms' persistence that paid off as he hit Chavo with his finisher, the Vertebreaker, and pinned him for the win. As the referee counted to three, Helms celebrated his victory, taunting Chavo and the crowd. With this win, Helms has retained his Cruiserweight Championship and continues to dominate the division.

Buff Bagwell: "What's there to say, Gene? We told you before the match that we were going to beat The Insiders, and that's exactly what we did. They're just a couple of washed-up has-beens. We're the future of this business."

Lex Luger: "And let me tell you something, Mean Gene, we're not stopping there. The Magnificent Seven are taking over WCW, and that includes Scott Steiner beating Booker T in the main event. We're coming for those tag team championships, and there's nothing anyone can do to stop us."

Scott Steiner: "Long game? I'm tired of the long game, Ric. I'm the Big Bad Booty Daddy, I don't play games. I deserve the support of the Magnificent Seven, and I want it now!"

Shane Helms made his way down to the ring after Hayabusa's victory over Cash. With a microphone in hand, Helms started ranting about how everyone was talking about Hayabusa and his incredible abilities in the ring, but he believed that he was the best cruiserweight in the world.

"Listen up, Salt Lake City," Helms shouted into the microphone. "I've been hearing all about Hayabusa, how he's the man to beat in the cruiserweight division. But let me tell you all something, I am the real king of the cruiserweights! I've been holding this championship for months and nobody has been able to take it from me. Hayabusa may have just won a match, but that doesn't make him the best."

The crowd booed as Helms continued to talk trash, making it clear that he was not impressed by Hayabusa's victory. He challenged Hayabusa to come and face him in the ring, promising that he would prove once and for all who the real cruiserweight champion was.

Hayabusa, who was still in the ring, responded to Helms' challenge, telling him that he was ready to take on any challenger and prove his worth as the top cruiserweight.

The stage was set for a future match between the two cruiserweights, and fans were eagerly anticipating the chance to see Hayabusa and Shane Helms face off in the ring.

The announcers speculated about what could have happened in that meeting, but the focus quickly shifted back to the ring as the next match was about to start.

Kronik vs. Jindrak & Stasiak

The match between Kronik and Jindrak & Stasiak was a powerful and intense contest. From the moment the bell rang, the two teams clashed in the ring, exchanging blows and trying to gain the advantage. Jindrak & Stasiak relied on their speed and agility, trying to outmaneuver their opponents, but Kronik was able to use their size and strength to overpower their opponents.

Kronik dominated early on, with Brian Adams hitting a massive clothesline on Jindrak, sending him crashing to the mat. Stasiak tried to rally his partner, but it was to no avail as Kronik continued to pound away on both opponents. Jindrak and Stasiak tried to mount a comeback, using quick tags and double-teaming tactics, but Kronik was able to stay one step ahead.

As the match approached its climax, the crowd was on the edge of their seat, cheering on both teams. Jindrak & Stasiak hit a series of high-flying moves, but Kronik was able to counter with a huge double chokeslam, followed by the High Times finisher to secure the win.

Kronik stood tall in the ring, raising their arms in triumph as the fans cheered them on. The impressive victory for Kronik solidified their place as top contenders for the tag team championships.

The video begins with dramatic music and clips of Sting in action, showcasing his power, speed and agility. The video then shifts to a voiceover that says "He's back, and he's not alone." The camera zooms in on a hooded figure, shrouded in mystery, with the words "Project Prodigy" written in bold letters behind them.

Back in the announce booth, Tony Schiavone, Scott Hudson and Bobby Heenan are all abuzz with excitement. "Folks, did you see that?" exclaims Tony, "Sting is back and he's brought something big with him."

Scott chimes in, "That hooded figure, what could it mean? Could it be a new ally for Sting?"

Bobby, always the skeptic, says, "I wouldn't get too excited, boys. Sting has been known to bring in partners before and it hasn't always worked out."

Tony and Scott nod in agreement but still seem to be filled with anticipation. "Well, whatever it is, it's sure to shake things up in WCW," says Tony.

The three announcers continue to speculate about "Project Prodigy," wondering what it could mean for WCW and who the hooded figure might be. The excitement is palpable as they count down the days until Sting's return and the unveiling of his mysterious project.

Dustin Rhodes vs. Johnny Swinger

The match between Dustin Rhodes and Johnny Swinger was a showcase of technical wrestling as both men brought their best to the ring. The 11-minute match was a back and forth battle, with both men trying to outwit each other.

Rhodes was the first to gain the upper hand, using his experience to take control of the match. He locked in several submission holds, trying to make Swinger tap out. However, Swinger was able to fight his way out of the holds and turn the match around.

The heel showed off his own technical abilities, hitting Rhodes with a series of suplexes and strikes. But, just as Swinger was gaining momentum, Rhodes was able to hit his patented bulldog finisher, securing the pinfall victory.

The match ended with Rhodes standing tall, having defeated Johnny Swinger in a highly technical and entertaining match.

The cameras cut to a dimly lit backstage area, where Kanyon is pacing back and forth, mumbling to himself. Suddenly, he stops and turns to the camera, raising his voice in frustration.

"I've had it with that darn Ernest Miller! I'm tired of him acting all high and mighty, thinking he's better than everyone else. He's always been a thorn in my side and it's time to get rid of him once and for all!"

Kanyon then goes on a rant, pacing back and forth and gesturing wildly with his hands.

"People don't understand what I've been through, they don't know what it's like to have your career derailed by injuries, to have people constantly belittle you and put you down. But I'm not going to take it anymore, I'm going to show everyone what I'm capable of, and I'm going to do it my way!"

As Kanyon continues his monologue, the camera slowly zooms out, revealing that he is talking to no one but himself. He seems completely unaware that he's alone, as he continues to pace back and forth, ranting about Ernest Miller. The cameras eventually fade to black as Kanyon's voice continues to echo through the empty hallway.

The cameras cut to the locker room of the Magnificent Seven, where Ric Flair and Jeff Jarrett are deep in conversation. Ric Flair leans against a nearby wall, his eyes fixed on Jeff Jarrett as he speaks.

"Jeff, we've got to make sure everything goes according to plan tonight. We can't afford any more slip ups like last night," says Flair with a stern voice.

Jeff Jarrett nods in agreement, his eyes flicking between Flair and the door. "Agreed. I'm ready to go out there and make a statement," he says with confidence.

Just as the two of them finish their conversation, Scott Steiner enters the room, causing Jeff Jarrett to quickly make his exit. Steiner approaches Flair, his eyes narrowing as he speaks.

"What's going on, Ric? Why did Jeff just leave in a hurry?" asks Steiner, his voice filled with suspicion.

Flair turns to Steiner, his eyes meeting the bigger man's gaze. "Nothing to worry about, Scott. Jeff just had a match to get ready for," he says, his voice calm and collected.

Steiner nods, his expression still tense. "Well, make sure he knows that I'm counting on him to have my back tonight. I'm not going to let Booker T get the best of me again," he says, his voice filled with determination.

With that, the cameras cut back to the announce table as the show continues.

AJ Styles vs Jeff Jarrett

The match between Jeff Jarrett and AJ Styles was a high energy and competitive match that had the fans on their feet. Both men showed their skills and determination, but in the end it was Jeff Jarrett who emerged victorious.

The match started with both men feeling each other out, with Jarrett using his veteran experience to control the pace of the match. However, Styles was quick on his feet and was able to dodge many of Jarrett's attacks, earning a lot of applause from the fans.

As the match went on, Styles began to pick up momentum and was able to connect with a number of high-flying moves that had the crowd cheering. Despite this, Jarrett was able to turn the tide and started to work on Styles' arm, setting him up for the Figure Four Leglock.

In the end, Jarrett was able to lock in the Figure Four and force Styles to submit, giving him the win by pinfall. Although Styles put up a good fight, Jarrett was too experienced and cunning, and was able to take the win.

Buff Bagwell walks into the backstage area with a confident swagger, wearing his signature sunglasses and gold chains. Mean Gene greets him with a smile, holding a microphone in hand.

Mean Gene: "Buff, you're about to head out to the ring for the main event of the evening, what's going through your mind right now?"

Buff Bagwell: "Mean Gene, let me tell you something. I'm feeling good, real good. I mean, I'm Buff Daddy, the Natural, and tonight, I'm gonna show the world why I'm the number one contender for that WCW World Championship. You know what I'm saying?"

Mean Gene: "Yes, you're facing some tough competition in the form of Rey Mysterio, Lance Storm, and Sean O'Haire, how do you plan on coming out on top?"

Buff Bagwell: "It's simple, Mean Gene. I got the looks, I got the moves, and most importantly, I got the winning attitude. These guys, they're all talented, don't get me wrong. But when it comes down to it, it's all about who's got the heart to be the champion. And that's Buff Daddy, baby!"

Mean Gene: "Well, there you have it folks, Buff Bagwell, confident as ever and ready to take on three of WCW's top stars in the main event tonight. Can he come out on top and secure his spot as the number one contender for the WCW World Championship? Find out next, on WCW Monday Nitro!"

Rey Mysterio vs. Sean O'Haire vs. Lance Storm vs.Buff Bagwell

The main event of the night was a fatal 4-way match to determine the number one contender for the WCW World Championship. Rey Mysterio, Sean O'Haire, Lance Storm, and Buff Bagwell all entered the ring, eager to come out on top. The match was fast-paced and intense, with all four competitors showing off their impressive athletic abilities.

Rey Mysterio was the first to make a big move, hitting a high-flying hurricanrana on Sean O'Haire. Lance Storm tried to take advantage of the situation, but Mysterio was able to dodge his attack and send Storm flying out of the ring. Meanwhile, Buff Bagwell was also having a rough time, as O'Haire hit him with a big powerbomb.

However, Rey Mysterio refused to stay down, and he managed to hit a 619 on both O'Haire and Storm. As the match reached its climax, Mysterio and O'Haire found themselves in the ring together, exchanging blows. Mysterio managed to hit a springboard moonsault on O'Haire, and then a splash from the top rope, securing the pinfall and the win.

After the match, Mysterio celebrated his victory, as the fans in Salt Lake City erupted with cheers. With this win, Rey Mysterio is now the number one contender for the WCW World Championship, and it's only a matter of time before he gets his shot at the title.

However, just as the announcers were about to sign off, Jeff Jarrett stormed the ring from the crowd. Holding a guitar in hand, he swung it at Mysterio, connecting with a sickening thud. Jarrett then grabbed a microphone and declared that he wouldn't be left out of the championship picture.

"Booker T, you may have thought you could avoid me, but I won't let that happen," Jarrett said. "We have history, and I'm going to be the one to end your title reign. You better be ready, because I'm coming for you and that championship."

The fans were left in shock as the show went off the air, with Jarrett standing tall over the fallen Mysterio. What does this mean for the future of WCW and the World Championship? Only time will tell, but one thing is for sure: Jeff Jarrett won't be backing down from this challenge.

WCW Monday Nitro (Monday, Wk3 May 2001)

Announcers

Tony Schiavone | Scott Hudson | Bobby "The Brain" Heenan

Tony Schiavone: Welcome to another exciting edition of Monday Nitro, live from UT Peaks Ice Arena in Salt Lake City! I'm Tony Schiavone, alongside Scott Hudson and Bobby Heenan.

Scott Hudson: And what a night we have in store for all of our WCW fans! We've got some huge matches on the card tonight, starting with a tag team match between Hayabusa and Yang taking on Evan Karagias and Kid Romeo. We have learned that during the week there was a managerial decision to kick Shannon Moore out of 3 Count and replace him with Kid Romeo. And they are still missing a replacement for Shane Helms that left the group weeks ago.

Bobby Heenan: We've also got Goldberg in action tonight, as he takes on Chris Harris!

Tony Schiavone: We've also got a match between two of the best tag teams in WCW, as The Mamalukes take on Totally Buff.

Scott Hudson: And we've got a big match to determine the number one contender for the United States Championship, as Konnan faces off against Elix Skipper.

Bobby Heenan: But the main event tonight, and what we've all been waiting for, is Rey Misterio Jr. taking on Jeff Jarrett! If Jarrett wins tonight, he will be added to the World Championship match at The Great American Bash, making it a three-way match between himself, Rey, and the champion, Booker T.

Tony Schiavone: It's going to be a fantastic night of action, so sit back, grab some snacks and let's get ready for some WCW Monday Nitro!

Hayabusa & Yang vs. Evan Karagias & Kid Romeo

The opening match of the night saw the high-flying duo of Hayabusa and Yang taking on Evan Karagias and Kid Romeo. The match was a fast-paced, action-packed affair with both teams putting on a show for the fans in attendance.

Hayabusa and Yang worked well together, utilizing their speed and athleticism to keep their opponents off balance. Karagias and Romeo tried to slow the pace down, but Hayabusa and Yang's quick strikes and aerial assaults proved too much for them to handle.

The match came to a close after Hayabusa hit a lightning fast moonsault off the top rope onto Kid Romeo for the pinfall victory. Hayabusa and Yang pick up the win in a hard-fought, 10-minute match, and the crowd erupted in applause for their impressive performance.

The camera cuts to the Magnificent Seven locker room where Scott Steiner is angrily pacing back and forth, his brother Rick standing behind him with his arms crossed. Ric Flair walks into the room, looking calm and collected.

Steiner: "What the hell is going on, Ric? Are you trying to go behind my back?"

Flair: "Calm down, Scott. I'm not going behind anyone's back. I'm just trying to do what's best for the group."

Steiner: "Yeah, well, what's best for the group is having a true leader. And that's me. I'm a genetic freak and the only one who can lead this team to victory."

Flair: "Look, I understand you're upset. But you need to trust me. I talked to Bischoff and we're working on a plan."

Steiner: "What plan? What did you tell him?"

Flair: "I told him that we're the best group in WCW and we deserve to have a shot at the World Championship. And that's exactly what we're going to get."

Steiner: "But what about Jarrett? He's been causing problems and I don't trust him."

Flair: "Jarrett is just one man. We're a team, Scott. We need to work together if we want to come out on top."

Steiner: "I am the leader of this team, Flair. And I won't let anyone else take that away from me."

Flair: "No one's trying to take anything away from you, Scott. We're all in this together. We need to focus on our goal and stop bickering amongst ourselves."

Steiner: "I'll do whatever it takes to make sure we come out on top. And if that means taking out Jarrett, then so be it."

Flair: "That's not what we're about, Scott. We're better than that. We need to stick together and trust each other."

Steiner: "I don't know if I can trust you, Flair. You've been acting shady lately."

Flair: "I'm not being shady, Scott. I'm just trying to do what's best for the group. And if you can't see that, then maybe you're not the leader we need."

The argument continues, with Flair trying to reason with Steiner and Steiner becoming increasingly agitated. The camera fades out as they continue to argue, leaving the outcome uncertain.

Goldberg storms out of his locker room with a purpose, his eyes fixed on the ring. The intensity emanating from the former world champion is palpable as he makes his way through the corridors of the arena. The cameras follow his every step, capturing the aura of the man who has become a living legend in the world of professional wrestling.

Tony Schiavone: "Goldberg is here and he's making his way to the ring. Who knows what's on his mind tonight, Bobby."

Bobby Heenan: "I don't know, but I hope whoever's in the ring with him has their life insurance paid up."

Scott Hudson: "We don't have any official word on who he's facing yet, but we'll find out soon enough."

Bill Goldberg 6.gifimage.pngChris Harris.gif

Goldberg vs Chris Harris

Goldberg dominated the match from the beginning, overpowering and punishing Harris with his signature moves. Harris attempted to mount a comeback, but Goldberg easily countered and delivered a spear followed by a Jackhammer to get the pinfall victory. The match was short and one-sided, as Goldberg showed his dominance over his opponent.

Scott Steiner is walking down the hallway backstage, looking for someone. He looks around, scowling, and spots Lex Luger and Buff Bagwell standing nearby, talking to each other. As he approaches, they both turn away, pretending not to notice him. Steiner gets angrier and calls out to them.

"Hey, you two! I've been looking for you guys. We need to talk about our strategy for tonight."

Luger and Bagwell continue to ignore him, clearly not interested in talking. Steiner gets more agitated.

"I'm serious! We're in this together, and we need to work as a team. What's your problem?"

Luger finally turns to face Steiner, but doesn't say anything. Bagwell just shakes his head and starts to walk away, with Luger following behind him.

Steiner stands there for a moment, seething with anger, before storming off in the opposite direction.

Scott Steiner is walking back to his locker room, clearly fuming from being ignored by Luger and Bagwell earlier. As he turns a corner, he almost runs into Dustin Rhodes, who is just coming out of his own locker room.

Dustin: Hey there, Big Poppa Pump. Looks like you're all fired up.

Scott: (gritting his teeth) You got something to say, Rhodes?

Dustin: (smirking) Just wondering what happened with your boys back there. They seem to be avoiding you.

Scott: (getting in Dustin's face) That's none of your damn business. But since you want to know, I'll tell you - they're cowards, just like you.

Dustin: (laughing) Cowards? Look who's talking. You're the one walking around here like a madman, trying to pick fights with everyone.

Scott: (shoving Dustin) I don't have to take that from the likes of you. You're nothing but a has-been.

Dustin: (getting ready to fight) Is that so? Well, why don't you step up and prove it?

The two men square off, ready to brawl, but they're quickly separated by security. The tension lingers in the air as they glare at each other, both clearly itching for a fight.

The Mamalukes vs. Totally Buff

Totally Buff defeated The Mamalukes in a 13 minute match. The match was back-and-forth, with both teams getting in some offense. The Mamalukes had the advantage for most of the match, but Totally Buff was able to turn the tide with some dirty tactics. Late in the match, Buff Bagwell hit Johnny the Bull with a foreign object behind the referee's back, allowing Lex Luger to get the pin and the victory for their team. The Mamalukes were frustrated with the loss and argued with the referee about the foreign object, but the decision stood.

As Dustin Rhodes is walking backstage, he suddenly gets blindsided by Road Warrior Animal who attacks him from behind. Animal continues to beat down Dustin as he's on the ground. Suddenly, Sting rushes to the scene and confronts Animal, causing him to back off. Sting checks on Dustin to make sure he's okay and helps him to his feet. Animal stares down Sting from a distance before turning and walking away. Sting then helps Dustin walk to the locker room, making sure he's okay after the attack.

 Konnan 3.gifimage.pngElix Skipper 2.gif

Konnan vs. Elix Skipper

Konnan and Elix Skipper had an evenly-matched and high-flying contest, with both competitors executing a series of impressive moves. Konnan used his experience to gain an advantage over the agile Skipper, and his powerful strikes kept Skipper on the back foot for much of the match. Skipper tried to use his speed and athleticism to gain the upper hand, but Konnan was able to counter many of his moves and stay in control.

In the end, Konnan caught Skipper with a big clothesline and followed up with a spinning heel kick to secure the victory and become the number one contender for the United States Championship. After the match, Konnan celebrated his hard-fought win with the fans, while Skipper looked dejected and frustrated in the ring.

 ______________________

After Konnan's victory over Elix Skipper, Shane Douglas, the current US Champion, makes his way to the ramp and taunts Konnan by holding up his championship belt and pointing at it while laughing. Douglas tells Konnan that he's not good enough to beat him and that he'll never be the United States Champion. Konnan responds by challenging Douglas to a match at the next pay-per-view event. Douglas laughs it off, but then suddenly attacks Konnan from behind with a steel chair, hitting him repeatedly before walking away, leaving Konnan lying on the mat.

As Jeff Jarrett is lacing up his boots, Scott Steiner enters the locker room. Jarrett looks up at him with a suspicious expression, knowing that Steiner is never one to approach him with good intentions.

"What do you want, Steiner?" Jarrett asks, his tone wary.

"I just wanted to give you a little heads up, Jarrett," Steiner sneers. "Nobody's gonna be there to help you tonight. You're on your own."

Jarrett glares at Steiner, knowing full well what he means. The Magnificent Seven had been his allies, but he had recently clashed with some of them, including Steiner and Lex Luger. It seems they were now determined to make him pay.

"I don't need anyone's help," Jarrett replies confidently. "I can take care of myself."

Steiner smirks. "We'll see about that, won't we?" And with that, he turns on his heel and exits the locker room.

Jarrett knows he has a tough match ahead of him, but he's determined to prove that he can win on his own, without anyone's help. He finishes lacing up his boots and heads out to the arena, his mind focused on the task at hand.

Rey Mysterio Jr 10.gifimage.pngJeff Jarrett 4.gif

Rey Mysterio vs Jeff Jarrett

As the match begins, Jarrett wastes no time attacking Rey and dominating the early minutes of the match. However, Rey manages to fight back and gain the upper hand with his high-flying and quick moves, keeping Jarrett on the defensive.

As the match progresses, Jarrett resorts to dirty tactics and repeatedly goes for low blows and chokeholds, frustrating Rey's efforts to gain the win. The referee admonishes Jarrett, but he continues his rule-breaking tactics.

Near the end of the match, Rey mounts a comeback and sets up for his signature move, the 619. However, before he can execute it, Jarrett hits him with a guitar and follows it up with a DDT, covering him for the pinfall.

The referee doesn't see the guitar, and Jarrett secures the win by cheating. After the match, Jarrett celebrates his win, while Rey looks disappointed and frustrated at the outcome.

 ______________________

After the match, Booker T rushes to the ring to confront Jarrett, who tries to hit him with the guitar, but Booker T catches it. Rey joins Booker T, and the two of them hit their finishing moves on Jarrett, and pose together to close the show.

Tony Schiavone | Scott Hudson | Bobby "The Brain" Heenan

Tony Schiavone: Welcome to Monday Nitro, live from the AZ Tempe Auditorium! We've got an incredible show for you tonight.

Scott Hudson: That's right, Tony. We've got some great matches lined up, including a clash between Hayabusa and Evan Karagias.

Bobby Heenan: And let's not forget Dustin Rhodes taking on Road Warrior Animal. That's going to be a wild one.

Tony Schiavone: And later tonight, we have a huge tag team main event. It's Booker T and Rey Misterio Jr. taking on Jeff Jarrett and Scott Steiner.

Scott Hudson: Plus, we'll be seeing The Insiders in action against Air Raid, and Billy Kidman will be in the house.

Bobby Heenan: And let's not forget the drama from last week with The Magnificent Seven. The tension is still high, and we could see some explosive action tonight.

Tony Schiavone: That's right, Bobby. So stay tuned, because you never know what's going to happen on Monday Nitro!

Hayabusa 9.gifimage.pngEvan Karagias 3count.gif

 Hayabusa vs Evan Karagias

In a fast-paced match, Hayabusa controlled the action early on with his impressive acrobatics. However, Karagias managed to take advantage of a brief moment of distraction to take control of the match. The tide turned again as Hayabusa connected with a flurry of strikes and finished Karagias off with a standing moonsault for the pinfall victory.

______________________

As the camera cuts to the ring, Shane Helms is already standing there with a microphone in his hand. He smirks as he looks out into the crowd.

"Tonight, Hayabusa got lucky. But at the Great American Bash, luck won't be on his side," he says, pausing for effect. "He'll be facing the greatest cruiserweight of all time, the one and only Hurricane Shane Helms!"

The crowd boos loudly, but Helms seems unfazed. He continues, "Hayabusa, I know you've got some fans out there. But they need to face the facts. You're just not on my level. I'm faster, I'm stronger, and I'm smarter. And at the Great American Bash, I'm going to prove it once and for all."

He lowers the microphone and holds up a hand, giving a dismissive wave to the crowd. As he turns and makes his way out of the ring, the boos follow him.

______________________

Scott Steiner is pacing back and forth in the locker room, fuming about what happened last week. Jeff Jarrett, meanwhile, is sitting on a bench with his arms crossed, a smug expression on his face.

"What the hell were you thinking?" Steiner barks at Jarrett. "I told you I didn't want you going after that world title, and you went and did it anyway. Now we're at each other's throats."

Jarrett smirks. "Relax, big man. It's just business. You know as well as I do that I'm the better man. I'll beat Booker T and take that title, and we'll both come out on top."

Steiner snorts. "You think you're the better man? You're delusional. But fine, we'll see how it goes. Just remember, I'm the leader of this group. Don't forget it."

Jarrett stands up, still smirking. "Don't worry, big man. I know my place. I'll take care of business in the ring tonight, and we'll come out on top."

With that, the two men stare each other down for a moment before turning their attention back to their match later in the night.

The Natural Born Thrillers are standing in a dimly lit backstage area with various equipment and crates stacked around them. There may be a few stray spotlights or lamps illuminating the area, casting shadows against the walls. The camera are positioned at an angle, giving a slightly off-kilter, edgy feel to the shot:

"You know Totally Buff, we've been watching you two for a while now and we gotta say, you talk a big game. But when it comes down to it, you can't back it up," Sean O'Haire begins, his eyes blazing with intensity.

Chuck Palumbo adds, "You may have the muscles, but we've got the skills. You can't outwrestle us and you sure as hell can't outfight us. You think you're bad? We're the Natural Born Thrillers, and we're not just bad, we're the baddest."

O'Haire takes over, "So you wanna take our tag titles from us at the Great American Bash? Bring it on. We'll be ready for you, and we'll be showing you what real badassery is all about. You won't stand a chance against us. We are the Natural Born Thrillers, and we are the future of tag team wrestling in WCW."

Dustin Rhodes 6.gifimage.pngRoad Warrior Animal 5.gif

Dustin Rhodes vs Road Warrior Animal

The match between Dustin Rhodes and Road Warrior Animal lasted for 17 minutes. Animal entered the ring with Ric Flair by his side, while Sting accompanied Dustin to the ring. Despite Animal's strength advantage, Dustin proved to be a formidable opponent, countering many of Animal's moves. Throughout the match, Flair tried to interfere, but Sting prevented him from doing so. In the end, Dustin was able to hit Animal with a bulldog, securing the victory. After the match, Flair attacked Dustin, but Sting came to his rescue, leading to a heated exchange between the two teams.

______________________

As Road Warrior Animal gets back to his feet after his defeat, he joins forces with Ric Flair to attack Dustin Rhodes. Just as they're about to finish him off, a massive Samoan man jumps out from the crowd and takes down Animal and Flair with ease. The commentators are stunned, wondering who this newcomer could be.

After the ring is cleared, Sting makes his way to the ramp and welcomes the Samoan man, introducing him as Samoa Joe. Sting reveals that Joe is the first member of Project Prodigy, a group dedicated to protecting WCW from the likes of the Magnificent Seven.

Sting then turns his attention to Flair, Animal, and the rest of the Magnificent Seven, warning them that they're in for a fight if they try to mess with WCW. With the addition of Samoa Joe, Project Prodigy is ready to take on any challenge that comes their way.

Disco Inferno: "You're on!"

The Insiders vs Air Raid

In a tag team match between The Insiders and Air Raid, the two face teams fought in a back-and-forth battle. The Insiders, consisting of Kevin Nash and Diamond Dallas Page, used their size and strength to their advantage, while Air Raid, made up of Air Paris and AJ Styles, used their speed and agility to keep up with their opponents.

As the match approached its end, Air Raid had the upper hand and were looking to secure a victory. However, miscommunication between the two partners allowed The Insiders to take advantage and hit their finisher, a Diamond Cutter followed by a Jackknife Powerbomb, to secure the win.

Despite the loss, Air Raid showed good sportsmanship and shook hands with their opponents after the match.

As The Insiders are celebrating their victory and leaving the ring, Air Paris suddenly attacks AJ Styles from behind. Paris relentlessly beats down Styles, stomping and punching him until security finally rushes to the ring to pull him off. As Paris is dragged away, he continues to scream insults at Styles, clearly having some deep-seated animosity towards his former tag team partner. Styles is left lying in the ring, bruised and battered, as the crowd looks on in shock and confusion.

Ernest Miller is backstage with a microphone in his hand. He looks serious and focused as he begins to speak.

"Kanyon, you and I have had our fair share of battles over the years. We've fought all over this country, and you've always been a tough opponent. But what's been going on with you lately? Your behavior has been...strange, to say the least. You've been acting erratic, and it's starting to affect your in-ring performances.

I don't know what's going on with you, but I do know that I'm not going to stand for it anymore. We've got a match coming up at the Great American Bash, and I'm not going to let your weirdness get in the way of me beating you down in the ring.

So if you've got any more strange behavior planned, you better think twice about it. Because when we step into that ring, it's just you and me, and I'm going to take you down, no matter what kind of weirdness you bring to the table."

Rey Mysterio and Booker T are seen backstage, preparing for their tag team match against Jeff Jarrett and Scott Steiner later in the night. They both look focused as they discuss their plan for the match.

Booker T: "Hey Rey, you know we got each other's back, right?"

Rey Mysterio: "Of course, Book. We got this!"

Booker T nods in agreement.

Booker T: "Listen, I know Jarrett and Steiner are not gonna play fair. But we ain't gonna let them get away with anything. If they try anything, we hit 'em hard and hit 'em fast. Got it?"

Rey Mysterio: "Got it! Let's show them what we're made of!"

They both bump fists and head out to the ring, ready to face their opponents.

Booker T and Rey Mysterio Jr vs. Jeff Jarrett and Scott Steiner

The crowd was electric as the main event of the night was set to begin. Jeff Jarrett and Scott Steiner made their way to the ring first, followed by the high-flying duo of Booker T and Rey Mysterio Jr. The announcers speculated that there might be some tension between Jarrett and Steiner after their earlier altercation, but the two seemed to be on the same page as they made their way down the ramp.

As soon as the bell rang, Jarrett and Booker T started the match. They exchanged blows back and forth, with Booker T getting the upper hand with a series of chops and a spinning heel kick. Jarrett rolled out of the ring to catch his breath, and Steiner went over to give him some encouragement. Meanwhile, Rey Mysterio and the referee were keeping an eye on them.

When Jarrett got back into the ring, he was met with a dropkick from Rey Mysterio. The high-flyer followed up with a series of quick moves, including a springboard crossbody, a hurricanrana, and a tilt-a-whirl headscissors takedown. Jarrett was reeling, but he managed to catch Mysterio with a knee to the gut and tagged in Steiner.

The Big Bad Booty Daddy came into the ring with a head of steam, but Mysterio managed to dodge his attacks and tag in Booker T. The former world champion was a house of fire, hitting Steiner with a series of strikes and a spinebuster. He followed up with a scissors kick and went for the cover, but Jarrett broke it up at the last second.

The match continued with each team taking turns on offense. Steiner used his strength and power to control Booker T, while Mysterio used his speed and agility to keep Jarrett at bay. The fans were on the edge of their seats, waiting to see which team would come out on top.

As the match wore on, things started to break down. Jarrett and Steiner started using underhanded tactics, including eye pokes and low blows, to gain the upper hand. Meanwhile, Booker T and Mysterio were getting frustrated with each other due to miscommunications.

In the end, it was a botched move that led to the finish. Booker T went for a scissors kick on Steiner, but the Big Bad Booty Daddy moved out of the way, causing Booker T to accidentally hit Mysterio. Steiner capitalized on the confusion and hit Booker T with the Steiner Recliner for the victory.

After the match, the referee raises the hands of Jarrett and Steiner in victory. Steiner looks at Jarrett and then suddenly hits him with a low blow. Jarrett is doubled over in pain as Steiner grabs him and lifts him up, locks him in his signature move, the Steiner Recliner. Jarrett struggles but soon passes out, and Steiner releases him, letting his limp body fall to the mat.

Steiner then grabs the microphone and tells the crowd that he doesn't need anyone, especially not Jarrett, to help him become the WCW World Champion. He says that he's the most dominant wrestler in WCW and that he'll take the title whenever he wants.

Booker T and Rey Mysterio Jr. watch from the ring as Steiner poses in the ring, taunting the crowd. The commentators speculate about what this means for the future of WCW, with Steiner seeming to be more of a lone wolf than ever before.

As the show comes to a close, the camera fades to black, leaving the audience with a sense of uncertainty about what the future holds for WCW.
