Former Celtics guard Ray Allen — soon to be a free agent — is interested in signing with the Miami Heat, and the feeling is mutual. Allen has narrowed down his “wish list” to the Heat & Knicks. The Heat now gaining an edge over the Knicks in the Ray-Ray Sweepstakes.

 

Allen will be free to re-sign with the Celtics or sign with any other team when NBA free agency opens July 1. Miami is an attractive option for free agents, and the Heat became even more attractive after winning the NBA championship last week. Any incoming player to the Heat could get a no better contract than one that values at $3 million per year. Ray Allen made $12 million with the Celtics this season.

 

“There’s still a lot of basketball left in my legs, I know that for sure,” Allen said after the Celtics’ loss to the Heat in Game 7 of the Eastern Conference Finals. The all-time leader in three-point shots made has yet to make any other comments regarding his free agent status

Agora a sério. Não vou dizer que ele não é um grande jogador e que irá certamente ficar na história da liga mas pelo menos para os Knicks não creio que a solução passe por esse tipo de aquisições. Mas vamos ver, é como tudo.

O Mo acaba contrato agora, mas tem player option. se n optar pela option, ficamos com algum cap space. Se optar, na proxima epoca acabam os contratos do Mo, Harris, Al Jeff e Millsap. Vamos lá ver.
