Trail Blazers center Greg Oden apologized to his fans and family for nude pictures that surfaced online Tuesday.

 

The cell phone pictures, which Oden said were taken a year and a half ago, show him standing in front of a mirror. The images were posted on a video Web site.

 

Oden appeared on 95.5 The Game on Tuesday and said he was awoken at 6 a.m. to news of the photos.

 

"As soon as I saw it, my heart dropped," Oden said during The Bald Faced Truth with John Canzano on 95.5 The Game. "You have to be aware when you do that type of stuff. You think you trust someone, but anything can happen as soon as you send."

 

Oden's agent sent a letter to the Web site ordering them to remove the photos. The letter also threatened legal action against the person responsible for publishing the images.

 

Blazers officials said they have no comment.

 

Oden called the leaked photos an "embarrassing moment."

 

"I've definitely grown since then and learned since then you can't do those types of things," Oden said. "You have to know that everything you do can come back and get you."

 

Oden suffered a knee injury in early December and was sidelined for the season.

 

After being selected No. 1 in the 2007 NBA Draft, Oden also missed the first season of his career due to injury. He played 61 games in the 2008-09 season and averaged 8.9 points per game and 7.0 rebounds per game.

Acho que toda a gente tinha a ideia que ele era um projecto a longo prazo. Bem longo, mesmo comparado com a maioria dos centers que levam uns 2 anos para adaptação (tirando certas excepções).
