Itália: Fiorentina contratou jovem promessa argentina Sálvio

 

Adversário do Sporting na próxima eliminatória da Liga dos Campeões, a Fiorentina continua a reforçar o seu plantel com vista à próxima temporada, depois de, na época passada, ter terminado no quarto lugar na Série A italiana. O último reforço chama-se Eduardo Salvio, tem apenas 19 anos e é argentino.

 

Ex-jogador do Lanús, Sálvio custou ao emblema de Florença qualquer coisa como 10,5 milhões de euros, a qual acabou por garantir um jogador, internacional A pela Argentina, que já tinha sido oferecido à Juventus e Inter de Milão.

 

Considerado uma das maiores promessas argentinas dos últimos anos, Sálvio vai assinar por cinco épocas com a Fiorentina, onde auferirá de um vencimento de cerca de 600 mil euros anuais.

OFFICIAL: Lee Cattermole Joins Sunderland From Wigan Athletic

The midfielder has been reunited with his former manager at the Stadium of Light...

 

Sunderland have confirmed that they have signed England Under-21 midfielder Lee Cattermole from Wigan Athletic this afternoon.

 

The Black Cats paid the Latics £6 million to secure his services, and manger Steve Bruce was delighted to have snapped up the Stockton-on-Tees-born 21-year-old, who came through Middlesbrough's famed youth academy.

 

"Lee has everything that I like in a player so I'm delighted to have brought him to Sunderland," he told the club's official website.

 

"He is a terrific footballer. He is young, strong and has a real passion for the game that I'm sure our supporters will love.

 

"As a North East lad, he understands what it means to represent a club in this region and will bring some real bite to our side.

 

"Lee is a great addition and will strengthen us through the spine of the team while creating real competition across midfield."

 

Cattermole was signed by Bruce whilst he was Wigan's manager last summer, and moves after a successful season in Lancashire, where he played 33 times for the Latics.

 

He has 14 England Under-21 caps, and joins Darren Bent, Lorik Cana, Fraizer Campbell and Paulo Da Silva as new arrivals at the Stadium of Light this summer.

HULL SWOOP FOR HUNT AND GHILAS

 

Hull have completed the signings of Stephen Hunt and Kamel Ghilas.

 

Reading confirmed earlier this week they had agreed an undisclosed fee for the transfer of 28-year-old Republic of Ireland winger Hunt, who has signed a four-year deal with the Tigers.

 

Celta Vigo striker Ghilas, a 25-year-old Algeria international and former Blackburn target, has also signed a four-year deal with the Premier League side.

 

The pair take Hull's number of summer signings to four following the captures of Seyi Olofinjana and Jozy Altidore last week.

 

Manager Phil Brown had previously endured a frustrating close season in the transfer market with moves for players including Michael Owen, Fraizer Campbell, Marc-Antoine Fortune, Daryl Murphy and Habib Beye falling through.

 

The Tigers start their Premier League campaign on Saturday at Chelsea.

Official: Portsmouth Sign Anthony Vanden Borre On Loan From Genoa

Portsmouth have bagged a much-needed reinforcement after a summer during which several top stars have left Fratton Park. The south coast side have announced the loan signing of Anthony Vanden Borre from Genoa for the coming season.

 

Boss Paul Hart will have to wait on international clearance before fielding the player - who can play anywhere on the right side - but is happy to have landed the 21-year-old.

 

"He's a young Belgian international who’s threatened to do so much for quite a while," Hart said to the club's official website. "Now's the time for him to come up with the goods, and we're looking forward to being a part of that.

 

"He played right-back for his country on Wednesday night [against the Czech Republic] but he can also play in midfield. He's good in both positions."

 

Vanden Borre was born in the Democratic Republic of Congo. He started out with Anderlecht before moving to Italy - first to Fiorentina and now Genoa.

 

Meanwhile, it has been revealed that Nwankwo Kanu is close to signing a one-year extension.

OFFICIAL: Michael Mancienne Joins Wolverhampton Wanderers From Chelsea

The Chelsea defender has moved to Wolves on a season-long loan deal...

 

 

Chelsea defender Michael Mancienne has joined Wolverhampton Wanderers on a season-long loan deal.

 

The 21-year-old played in England U-21s’ 0-0 draw with the Netherlands on Tuesday evening before agreeing personal terms with Wolves on Thursday.

 

This will be Mancienne's second spell at Molineux, where he spent two months in the Championship last season.

 

During that ten-game spell, the Chelsea youngster made a huge impression at centre-back, even earning a call-up to Fabio Capello's full England squad for a friendly in November.

 

Mancienne becomes the seventh summer signing at Molineux, although chief executive Jez Moxey has moved to claim that he is anticipating even more transfer activity at the club.

 

"It’s been a long, hard summer in terms of preparing for the Premier League and bringing in new players, and we’re still looking for more even now," he told The Express and Star.
