Dominik Dijakovic - Look Keith, you know i respect you right? But i want another shot at that North American championship. I know i can beat you this time around
Keith Lee sorri para Dijakovic.
Keith Lee - Dominik my friend, last time we were in this ring fighting for this title right here i beat you fair and square. William Regal vem até ao stage para acalmar toda a gente

O primeiro combate da noite é um Ladder Match para decidir quem irá desafiar Charlotte Flair pelo titulo no TakeOver. A campeã junta-se à mesa de comentários mas antes tem umas palavras para a divisão feminina do NXT.

Charlotte Flair - The queen of the entire womens division is back where everything started. I just wanna let every women on that loocker room know that i'm better than them. No matter who wins this next match, i'm gonna make you bow dow to the queen just like i did to Rhea at Wrestlemania. WOOO

Ladder Match - Dakota Kai w/Raquel Gonzalez vs Candice LeRae vs Bianca Belair vs Io Shirai vs Tegan Nox vs Mia Yim

O combate começa a uma velocidade estonteante. Tegan Nox manda Dakota Kai para fora do ringue mas é facilmente controlada por Raquel Gonzalez que acompanha Dakota Kai para este combate. Dakota monta uma mesa fora do ringue para Raquel Gonzalez fazer uma powerbomb em Tegan Nox que desta vez parte mesmo a mesa. Parece que Tegan Nox não vai conseguir continuar o combate.
No ringue Io Shirai e Bianca Belair conseguem ver-se livres das restantes wrestlers e começam num concurso de quem é mais atleta. Enquanto isso Candice LeRae e Mia Yim lutam no ringside. Candice coloca um escadote entre o ringue e a barreira, coloca Mia Yim em cima desse escadote e parece que vai tentar um moonsault até que Io Shirai acerta com um dropkick. Candice cai em cima de Mia Yim e as duas partem o escadote.
De novo no ringue voltamos ao inicio, Io Shirai e Bianca Belair, quem vai ganhar?
Nos comentários Charlotte não se cansa de dizer que Bianca é muito boa mas que ela é melhor e que isso ficou provado na Royal Rumble.
Io consegue ganhar vantagem e tenta o moonsault, Bianca consegue evitar o golpe e tenta também ela um moonsault, desta vez é Io Shirai que se desvia.
Io desta vez vai à procura dum escadote e coloca-o no centro do ringue. Começa a subir mas Dakota Kai aparece para a impedir de ganhar o combate. Raquel Gonzalez vai colocando outra mesa no ringue provavelmente para tentar fazer a Io Shirai o que fez a Tegan Nox mas Io consegue ver-se livre de Dakota Kai com uma serie de pontapes na cara caindo em cima de um dos escadotes que estava no ringue. Raquel não deixa que Io suba o escadote tentando salvar o combate para Dakota Kai mas desta vez é Bianca Belair que vem "ajudar" Io Shirai. As duas executam uma double powerbomb em Raquel Gonzalez em cima da mesa que ela colocou no ringue.
Io e Bianca encontram-se no topo do escadote e trocam golpes até que Bianca Belair consegue executar o KOD do topo do escadote. Io Shirai cai no meio do ringue, Bianca Belair consegue agarrar o contrato e ganha o combate.
Bianca Belair vai desafiar Charlotte Flair no próximo NXT TakeOver. Charlotte aplaude desde da mesa de comentários enquanto troca insultos com Bianca Belair

Video package for Ciampa vs Gargano
É mostrado um video a recapitular a rivalidade entre Ciampa e Gargano para dar algum hype ao main event desta noite.

Bianca Belair está a ser entrevistada no backstage quando Charlotte passa por ela e manda uma boca "I've beaten you once and i'll do it again Bianca". Começa uma luta entre as duas até que são separadas pelos árbitros e agentes que por ali passavam.

Dominik Dijakovic vs Damien Priest
O combate começa com Dijakovic a tentar ganhar rápido, várias tentativas de pinfall mas Priest safa-se sempre até que sai do ringue para acalmar um pouco o impeto de Dijakovic. Depois de arranhar a cara de Dijakovic nas costas do arbitro Damien Priest ganha o controlo do combate. Várias rest holds para cansar Dijakovic até este eventualmente fazer o comeback. Quando Dijakovic tenta o Feast your Eyes os pés de Damien Priest acertam no arbitro. Oportunidade para Damien Priest usar o metal pipe nas pernas de Dijakovic, roll up enquanto agarra nos calções de Dijakovic, 1 2 3. Damien Priest vence e vai desafiar Keith Lee pelo North American Championship no TakeOver.
No final do combate Dijakovic fica no ringue a discutir com o arbitro.

SHOCK THE SYSTEM!! Os antigos campeões de tag team do NXT aparecem no stage e parece que têm algo a dizer.
Kyle O'Reilly - Riddle and Dunne, bros, i'm gonna keep this short and simple, we want our titles back.
Bobby Fish - That's right boys, we don't care if there's not automatic rematch clauses anymore, we are the best tag team to ever step foot on NXT and we won't leave this ring until you two agree to give us our shot.
Kyle O'Reilly - And i mean, we can wait. It's not like anybody is gonna take us from this ring anyway..

Kushida vs Joaquin Wilde
Combate rápido sem muita história. No inicio Joaquin Wilde consegue ganhar algum impeto com as suas manobras aéreas e o seu atleticismo. Apesar de tudo Kushida consegue ganhar o controlo do combate e vence com o Cross Arm Breaker. No fim do combate ambos os wrestlers se cumprimentam em sinal de respeito.

Depois da vitória e enquanto Kushida celebra no ringue é atacado por Adam Cole e Roderick Strong. Enquanto Cole ataca Kushida vai enviado uma mensagem para Velveteen Dream
"This is what's gonna happen to you Dream"
Adam Cole - See Dream, did you just watch what happed to Kushida? This is your fait if you ever step inside a ring with me. You call yourself Velveteen Dream well i'm your worst nightmare. Talk to him Rody, i'm sick of this guy.
Roderick Strong - And you know what Dream? I didn't forgot what you did to me, how you disrespected me and my family. You're gonna pay for that. So next week i'll see you in this ring if your man enough. You'll have a broken back before you ever step in a ring with the champ

É altura do main event desta noite, o final da rivalidade entre Tommaso Ciampa e Jonhy Gargano. Regal está no ringue com os dois e tem algo a dizer antes do combate.
William Regal - "Like Triple H told both of you this is the end of this, after this there will be no more Gargano vs Ciampa or both of you will be gone from NXT, got it?"
Os dois acenam que sim com a cabeça, Regal sai do ringue e começa o combate.
 

Johny Gargano vs Tommaso Ciampa
O combate começa com os dois a fazerem aquele spot habitual de trocarem socos no meio do ringue até que Gargano ganha vantagem com um superkick. Sai do ringue para ir buscar cadeiras, mesas, kendo sticks e todo o tipo de armas que consegue encontrar. Em menos de nada o ringue está cheio de armas. Gargano monta várias mesas no ringside mas não se apercebe que Ciampa já está de pé e com a muleta acerta várias vezes nas costas de Gargano enquanto vai dizendo "is this what you want Johny?".
Ciampa começa a expor a parte de madeira do ringue mas Gargano tem uma cadeira e acerta nas costas de Ciampa, eventualmente consegue fazer uma powerbomb a Ciampa partindo umas das mesas que estava no ringside. 1 2.. Ciampa consegue o kickout.
Gargano tenta levar Ciampa para o ringue para tentar usar o Willow's Bell na parte de madeira do ringue mas Ciampa consegue impedir o move com várias joelhadas na cabeça de Gargano. Ciampa começa a ficar maluco de raiva, a puxar a barba e a perguntar a Gargano "is that all you got you son of a bitch?" Willow's Bell de Ciampa em Gargano, Fairy Tale Ending na madeira do ringue mas Ciampa não tenta fazer o cover. Gargano mal se consegue levantar e Ciampa abranda e começa a ter duvidas do que realmente pode fazer a Gargano até que aparece Candice LeRae. Ela implora a Ciampa que pare com o ataque, diz-lhe que está lesionada depois do ladder match que teve hoje e que não quer que Gargano também fique no mesmo estado, pede a Ciampa para se lembrar que eles foram melhores amigos, que ele fazia parte da família deles, que nada disto vale a pena. Ciampa começa a reconsiderar até que Candice o ataca com um low blow. Candice e Gargano riem-se na cara de Ciampa. Gargano agarra numa corrente e usa-a para fazer o Gargano Escape em Ciampa enquanto Candice faz uma espécie de Crossface com uma corrente à volta da boca de Ciampa ao mesmo tempo. Ciampa não desiste mas eventualmente desmaia e o arbitro dá o combate por terminado porque Ciampa não consegue continuar.
Jonhy Wrestling é o vencedor do último capitulo com o seu antigo melhor amigo e sai da arena juntamente com a sua mulher.
 

O show termina com Drake e vários médicos a cuidarem de Ciampa no meio do ringue.

Michael Cole – Welcome to Friday Night SmackDown, live here on Fox, I’m Michael Cole, with me Corey Graves as always, but this is not business as always. As you have heard on Sunday, the whole McMahon extended family has gone down in quarantine and as Mr. McMahon himself announced on Raw, on Monday Night, we are getting a new General Manager, with all powers that Mr. McMahon has, and to learn his or hers identity, and to check up on the McMahons health, we go directly live to the McMahon compound in Stamford, Connecticut, where Mr. McMahon is joining us via FaceTime. Sir how are you feeling?

Vince – Great, just great. We are in a preventive quarantine for the moment, no one is really sick for the moment, but we’ve had an invitee that has the virus, and did not disclosed it, and apparently coughed in the clam chowder we all ate at the party (we can hear HHH’s voice in the back yelling “That mf Pat Patterson, I swear I’ll…”, before Vince signals him to shut up)…So yeah. But spirits are up, and as you know, the show must go on.

MC – I’m glad to hear that. Now on Monday, you have appointed the Big Show as General Manager of Raw. Have you reached an appointment for SmackDown as well?

Vince – Well Michael…

MC – Cause if you want to, I can be of service in those capacities through this difficult time with great sacrifice for myse…

Vince – Sorry I didn’t catch that, the connection is not great, but anyhow, as I was saying, yes, I’ve appointed someone as General Manager for SmackDown. As you know the shows are now transmitted form the performance center in Orlando, so we needed someone who lives in the area. Also, we needed people with great experience in the business, and great loyalty to the company.

MC – Well, Sir, I’ve been in the company for 25 years now, how´bout that for very loyalty..

Vince – Yes, your loyalty is appreciated Mike. You’re a good man. But our new General Manager of Friday Night SmackDown is also a good man and one of the greatest Superstars we’ve ever had in the WWE. He is the Superstar that is most synonymic with SmackDown. You think of SmackDown, you immediately think of him. He is… KURT ANGLE!

(Kurt Angle’s music drops, he enters, wearing a three-piece suit, as formal as you can get and addresses a little podium installed previously, facing the ring)

KA – Thank you sir. Thank you. I have here the contract that makes me General Manager, that has been previously signed but all the Board of WWE, all the McMahons, and have reached here Florida, has been decontaminated and I’m ready to make it official now, live, in front of the World. Just say the word, Sir.

Vince – Go right ahead!

(Kurt signs the contract when he is finished his music comes back on, he put is arms up in celebration, one can almost be sure that a faint “Such good shit” is heard through the FaceTime call from the McMahons, but it would be impossible to make out who’d said it)

MC – Well.. it’s official, we have a new General Manager..

Corey – I know, how exciting is that. Kurt Angle, can you believe it?

MC – Yes.. I can almost believe it

Corey – Now let’s hear the new General Manager’s inauguration speech.

KA- I would like to thank Mr. McMahon, and all the McMahon clan, for entrusting me with this honor, and responsibility. I will not let anyone down. Not the Board, not the fans, nor the Superstars back there. To them I can only say that I intend on being a fair and just General Manager. Well, more than a General Management, because I know their struggles, their problems, heck, I grinded on that sacred matt for 20 years, I’m one of them. You can almost say that I am more than their General Manager. I am their Commanding Officer. Commanding the through these troubled times

But in all reality, no one would be more suited than me for the job. I know SmackDown like the palm of my hand. I’ve been here since its inception. I’ve held the top title of this brand more times than anyone can remember, I am the only Hall of Famer to currently be contracted to this brand and therefore I am the best choice for the job. I ….

(Goldberg just erupts into scene, no music, nothing, completely unannounced)

Goldberg - What do you mean the only Hall of Famer?

KA – Well, Goldberg, I meant no disrespect, I had sort of forgot about …

Goldberg – Forgot what? That I was inducted into the Hall of Fame the very next year you did?

KA – No, not exactly, I sorta forgot you were still here…Well, what I meant is that I am the best Hall of Famer this brand currently employs.

Goldberg – The what?

KA – Bill, don’t get me wrong, I was better than you back in our day. Let’s face it: I’ve achieved more than you, I was better in ring, and outside of it, and I won a Gold Medal with a bro….

Goldberg – Freaking neck, I know. We all know. You can’t shut up about it. For close to 25 years you’ve been running your mouth with it. I don’t see me constantly referring to my 173-0 winning streak.

KA – Well, you just did. But also, that was in WCW. Against the likes of Steve McMichael, Disco Inferno and Glacier, I mean, anyone would do it.

Goldberg – How about we settle it right here right now, wise-guy??

KA – Don’t be hasty, Bill. I respect your work and all, but you do know that I am retired.

Goldberg – Well…

KA – And so should you be.

(Goldberg doesn’t react verbally, but his eyes speak a thousand curse words)

KA – It has shown Saturday, on WrestleMania. You, my friend, were squashed. Under 2 minutes. The writing is on the wall my friend.

Goldberg – Oh ok, I may have been squashed by Braun Strowman at Wrestlemania, but I have plenty of fuel left in the tank to squash you tonight one on one. Squash you like a bug.

KA – As I said, I’m retired. In case you haven’t noticed I’m the General Manager now. But I’ll tell you this, as a General Manager I have the power to answer your grievances. You seem to want to fight tonight. So be it.  A rematch of Wrestlemania, right here tonight on Friday Night SmackDown, live on Fox. Goldberg against Braun Strowman, for the Universal Championship, in our main event.

(Kurt Angle’s music sounds again in the back drop, Goldberg motions to retire from the stage)

MC- Well you heard it from the man himself. Our main event, Goldberg one on one against Braun Strowman, for the Universal Title

KA – Oh and Bill (Goldberg turns around) Do try to last more than 2 minutes, please. I am general managing this show, and I’m planning on allocating some 20 minutes for that match. I would go 30, but I know you can’t last that long.

(Goldberg exists the stage, in a furious mood. Kurt Angle stands by the podium with a grin on his face)

KA – Well it’s time to move on with the show. Lemme just begin by stating how proud I am for my SmackDown boys and girls for the display they’ve put in the most special WrestleMania of all times!

(In the Tron it appears a video containing the best moments of the SD Superstars matches in that week’s WrestleMania; 1.23m into the video Daniel Bryan shows up, mic in hand, accompanied by Drew Gulak, and abruptly causes an interruption to the segment)

DB – Hey Kurt Angle, since we are under new – albeit provisional – management, and since we can expose our grievances

(Kurt Angle mutters an exasperated “Oh here we go…”)

DB – That match was a sham and you know it! I wanna rematch!

(Sami Zayn’s music drops. Enter the Artist Collective, looking all smug)

Sami – Oh non, non, non, mon chère ami! There will be no rematches for you! What do you think this is?? That you can just come out here and say “I wanna rematch” and you get one??

DB – But he (points to Kurt) just said that he would listen to our grievances.

Sami – Oh you have grievances? (Looks to Cesaro) He has grievances! Listen here you half sized man, last Weekend was the Greatest stage of them all. You know why they call it the greatest stage of them all?

Sami- It’s the greatest stage of THEM ALL because you get to see things that only happen once a year, like John Cena coming back from ‘second rate Hollywood’, like the Undertaker coming out from his cryogenic chamber for a match, or like Daniel Bryan having a shot at the Artists Collective Intercontinental Championship.

DB – So it’s all y’alls title?

Sami – Yes. We’re a Collective.

DB – Funny, I only see you carrying the belt...

Sami – Well, Daniel Bryan, this title only weights about 8 pounds, it’s quite adequate for a single man to carry it by himself, thank you very much. I know a half sized man like yourself may need the help of another half sized man (motions to Drew Gulak) to carry a belt, but not us. Shinsuke-san held the belt, I hold it now, and my man Cesaro will hold it, I’m sure, in due time. But not you! This is our belt.

(Tension rises, the superstars go head to head; Kurt Angle has to intervene)

(New Day music drops; Enter Big E and Kofi)

Big E – Hey yall. Imma let you guys finish, but let me just say, since we’re talking grievances here, that we too have a grievance

(Kurt Angle mutters again “Oh here we go…”)

Kofi – At Wrestlemania, I don’t know what took place, but it sure as hell wasn’t a tag team title match!

Big E – Oh no brother, no indeed!

Kofi - You see, tag team, means just that. That teams take on each other. And unless my eyes tricked me, I sure as hell didn’t see you out there with me Big E.

Big E – Oh indeed, my man. There was nothing wrong with those precious lil’ eyes o’ yours, my brother! I wasn’t there. So that match was also (motions to Daniel Bryan) whatchu said? A Sham!

KA – Now gentlemen please, please, we’re have too many bodies out here, remember the rules of social distancing. I have explicit orders from the McMahons to enforce the WHO rule of thumb of 6 feet distance. It says so right here on the contract.

DB – So how are we supposed to have matches?

KA – Well (consults the papers nervously) It doesn’t say right here precisely. I would have to consult with the office…but I… but I don’t wanna wake Mr. McMahon up from his rest this late at night, y’all know how cranky he gets when we wake him up.

(Everybody shakes their heads in agreement)

DB- Well he has made you General Manager, so do that. Manage.

KA – LISTEN HERE you lil sh… superstar, when you get to be General Manager of something you can talk about managing

KA – UNTIL THEN, I don’t have to listen to any advice from you, or anyone around here. And now let me put this to rest, cause we have just almost half an hour with this nonsense, and I have yet to present my plan of competitions. As a matter of fact I had come up, single handedly, with a concept that would answer most of your concerns right now.

Behold the “2020 Friday Night SmackDown Live on Fox Post WrestleMania All-Encompassing Tag Team Tournament” to determine who will face the Champs, Miz and Morrison, at Money in the Bank, brought to you by Snickers (face the camera) Snickers: Have some nuts. And it will go like this:

Kofi – We are! We seven-time-are.

DB – Hold your horse there. KA – Well if Daniel and Drew, are withdrawing from the tournament, I can give the place to the Artists Collective, in the persons of Shinsuke and Cesaro.

DB – I may not care about the tournament, but I will not allow these bozos to get over without knocking some of their Collective teeth first.

(Intensity grow, all hell is about to break loose! Kurt Angle erupts!)

KA – WILL YOU GODDAMN LISTEN TO ME AND RESPECT MY AUTHORITY!! 6 FEET! 6 FREAKING FEET apart gentleman. (breathes in) Now. I can, since I am your Commanding Officer around here, make another tournament, right here tonight, a Pre-Tournament to determine who will be the last team on the board right there.

It will be a four team tournament, two matches, right here tonight, and the first one is between Daniel Bryan and Drew Gulak, and the Artists Collective.

DB – Good.

KA - Oh and just a couple things, when I said the Artists Collective I mean all the members.

DB – Come on, you’re not gonna call for a handicap match on your first day a t work.

KA – Hey, who do you think I am? Would I pull something so unfair as that? I’m gonna be a just and fair Commanding Officer. No. It’s gonna be a regular 2 on 2 tag team match. I just meant that Sami Zayn will be Special Guest Referee, since he is a Top titleholder in this company, a respected performer, and a student of the game. He, better than anyone, can officiate a match (Daniel Bryan shakes his head)

KA – Oh and Daniel, just another thing, since you revealed so much contempt for the tag titles, I’m stipulating that you (points to DB and Gulak) will never, ever, ever, compete again for SmackDown Tag Team Championships if you lose today, if you are to accept this challenge. Now Daniel, I urge you to think of your partner there. A young fella, coming through the ranks, rubbing on a more experienced superstar, and now potentially going to be a mere valet for you in your Intercontinental Championship raging pursuit

Drew Gulak – I’m ok with that. I’m with Daniel Bryan all the way.

KA – That settles it. Now gents, go right ahead with your match, And I am going backstage to find me a couple more teams for the Pre-Tournament

 

MC- And we’re back on Friday Night SmackDown, in ring already the teams of Daniel Bryan & Drew Gulak and Cesaro & Shinsuke Nakamura from the Artists Collective. Daniel Bryan and will Cesaro start the match.

 

Daniel Bryan & Drew Gulak vs Cesaro & Shinsuke Nakamura (Sami Zayn special guest referee)

Five minutes into the match Daniel Bryan corners Shinsuke and delivers some Yes Kicks, but is deterred by the Special Guest Referee who warns him. Bryan protests vehemently. Gulak barges on to the ring to calm his partner down. A tag is made on both sides, and Cesaro delivers a powerfull slam that knocks the wind off Gulak. Shinsuke Nakamura seizes de chance to deliver a Kinshasa on the defenseless Drew Gulak, while the referee is distracted. As Sami Zayn returns to the ring to make the count so does Daniel Bryan who stops the count at two and a half.

14 minutes in to the match is able to apply the yes lock to Nakamura, but as the referee goes down to the matt to assess the situation a speck of dust enters his eye, so he misses Nakamura tapping extensively. A furious Bryan breaks the hold and head to confront the referee, who threatens to call for the bell if he is touched. Nakamura seizes the moment to deliver another Kinshasa, cover, but Bryan escapes a 2.

At 21 minutes Drew Gulak is applying an armbar on Cesaro who is all but ready to tap out. Nakamura creates a distraction by going to the apron to confront Daniel Bryan, the ref is distracted by the action outside the ring, so he misses the second tap of the night. Outside the ring, Nakamura puts Daniel Bryan down with a powerful Kinshasa. Gulak is now alone. Cesaro tags Nakamura, but they double team the lonesome Gulak. Another Tag, Cesaro delivers a Delayed vertical suplex, 1,2, 3, and the match is over.

MC – That’s it. 1,2,3, and it’s over. The Artists Collective go through the next Round of the Pre-Tournament.

Corey – And don’t forget that this also means that Daniel Bryan and Drew Gulak cannot ever challenge for the tag titles on SmackDown. A huge roadblock in this newly minted tag team!

 ---- Camera cuts to backstage ----

The Gronk appears, 24/7 title on his shoulder, runs into Mojo.

Gronk – Hey Mojo, I just wanna say I’m sorry for how thing went down at Wrestlemania, you know, with this puppy right here, with us being friends and all.

Mojo – Yeah, I know I know.

Gronk – I just want you to know that if you want to, I’m ok with giving you a fair shot at the belt, with a proper match, right here tonight. We can go to Kurt’s office and make it official

Mojo – Hey forget about it. As a matter of fact I have a better idea. Why don’t we walk in to Angle’s office but to register ourselves a team for tonight pre-tournament match?

Gronk – Wow Mojo, You really area great friend. Sure! Let’s go right now.

---- Kayla Braxton appears on-screen, meeting up with Kurt Angle as he enters his Managerial Office.

Kayla – Excuse me Kurt

KA – Well, I prefer a more formal treatment. You can call me Commanding Officer.

Kayla – Ok, excuse me Commanding Officer Kurt Angle, what do you think of the refereeing of that match? He did miss Nakamura and Cesaro tapping out, one time each!

KA- Well, one has to realize that Sami Zayn is not a professional referee, so he must be excused for any missed spots. Altogether it was a good performance. And that final count it was a normal count. It wasn’t a fast count, so he was fair and just, like me.

(Enter Mojo and Gronk)

Mojo – Excuse me, Sir, we understand that you are looking for a couple of teams for the pre-tournament and we have formed a team and want to compete.

KA – Excellent fellas! Actually I’ only looking for a team, cause Ali and Shorty G have just signed in on the match. So you’re up against them. Just sign the deal and the match is official.

(Braun Strowman enters the Office)

BS – So I’ve heard you called for me.

KA – Yeah, do come in my Champ.(Motions to Mojo and The Gronk) You can go. (Motions back to Braun) Ah yes, a fine specimen of an Athlete. Do come in. I want you to sign this contract for the match tonight against Goldberg. I have to keep a paper trail to present the McMahons when they’re back. So everybody signs everything. (He cowers as Braun approaches) You understand that. Right?

(Braun says nothing, just signs the paper and leaves the office. Outside Kayla approaches him)

Kayla – Braun, excuse me. It’s the first time we are meeting you since becoming the Universal Champion at Wrestlemania. Your thoughts on that win?

BS – It was a usual day, the only difference is that it was on the Grandest Stage of Them All.  

Kayla – And what do you think of the title match that General Manager Kurt Angle has booked for you tonight against Goldberg, a rematch from last Saturday?

BS – Kayla, I don’t care who it is, or when it is, I’m going to defend this title anytime, anywhere.

 

MC – And we’re back, Corey, and we have a tag match.

Corey Graves – That’s right Michael, in the ring already the newly minted teams of Ali & Shorty G and Mojo & The Gronk

MC – And it’s the first time we get to see The Gronk on the squared circle.

Corey – I’m very curious, as is the WWE Universe.

 

Ali & Shorty G vs Mojo & The Gronk

5 minutes in to the match, Shorty G applies the Ankle Lock on Mojo, who just barely reaches the bottom rope.

9 minutes in to the match with The Gronk on the ring, Ali delivers a Dropkick, goes to the top rope and performs a 450 splash on the Gronk who is helpless on the center of the matt. But luckily his partner Mojo barges in to protect him, and closelines Ali. But wait!! What’s this! Mojo is pinning The Gronk. (Corey Graves reminds the viewers that the 24/7 rules have not been suspended in this match). Mojo insist that the ref makes the count. Shorty G is confused. The ref counts, 1,2 3. We have a new 24/7 Champion. Also Ali and Shorty G win the match and proceed to the next round.

 

MC- We’re back on SmackDown live, and we’re still a little shook from what just happened earlier, Corey!

Corey – Well, it’s quite simple. Mojo is the new 24/7 Champion.

MC – But he betrayed his partner!

Corey – He just saw an opportunity and seized it. And now he is a Champion. That’s the lesson to take from all this.

MC – Anyway, up next is the First match of the “2020 Friday Night SmackDown Live on Fox Post WrestleMania All-Encompassing Tag Team Tournament”, the 8-team tournament that will determine who is facing the Champs, Miz & Morrison at the Money in the Bank pay per view.

Corey – That’s correct Michael, as you know from GM Kurt Angle plan earlier, 7 teams that are to enter this tournament are already determined, the eighth team is going to be known later on this evening when Cesaro & Nakamura square up against Ali and Shorty G.

(Dolph Ziggler’s tune comes up, he enters, then Roberts Roode’s tune sounds, he also enters in all his Glory)

MC – But right now it’s the first match of the “2020 Friday Night SmackDown Live on Fox Post WrestleMania All-Encompassing Tag Team Tournament”, with a match between:

Ziggler & Roode vs The Colons

(The Colons music sounds, but no one comes out; some time passes; everybody is confused)

MC – I guess they are not here.

Corey – Does that means Dolph and Roode get a bye in the tournament tonight?

MC – Well the referee is initiating the ten count.

(The referee reaches 10, no one enters the ring; Ziggler & Roode are the winners of this round. While they over-celebrate in the ring, Tucker and Otis barge throught the stage; Dolph sprints out of harm’s way, Tucker hits Roode with a closeline as Otis pursues Ziggler to the backstage but is unable to catch him).

MC – Well Michael seems that Otis is not through with Ziggler, after Wrestlemania.

Corey – He’s just childish. And delusional. And jealous of Ziggler and his good looks. Couldn’t even let them celebrate their victory here tonight against the Colons. No. He had to barge in.

MC- Anyway, up next Alexa Bliss brings us the Moment of Bliss.

Corey – A Very special episode indeed, as she and Nikki are the New Tag team Champions!

KA – Ladies, I couldn’t be any prouder of both of you! For your victory, and for bringing those titles to Friday Night SmackDown. But being a champion means now you have to defend those titles. Goodness knows that those belts stayed undefended for too damn long.

Alexa – Oh we know. We are not new to this.

Nikki – En fect wie’re the ferst two teime Champs!

KA – I know, I know. But since you’re on SmackDown, and the title is to be defended here - until otherwise decided by the McMahons – I would like to bring to you, to all the WWE Universe, the newest women’s tag team of SmackDown Live.

(A random Destiny’s Child music comes on, enter Carmella and Dana Brooke)

KA – I bring you the “Blonde Bombshells”!!!!

Alexa – So we are to defend the titles against this makeshift team?

Carmella – As far as I remember you guys started pretty makeshift too

Dana – That’s right Mella. We are a true team and we want the Gold!

KA – Yes, they have formed this team, and have already signed these contracts making it official for the Board. But a title match would be premature. However a one on one match, right now would not. So I decided that it’ll be Nikki Cross against Dana Brooke, right here, right now!

MC- And we’re back, this match is going on for some time now and Nikki appears to be dominating operations.

7 minutes into the match Nikki Cross performs a Tornado DDT that appears to put Dana out. Cover, 1,2 Dana kicks out!

11  minutes in, Dana has passed on the offensive, performs an Enziguri and then a Fireman Carry Slam. This could be it! 1,2,3. Dana has pinned Nikki. The Bombshells establish themselves as a force to be reckoned on the tag team scene of the SmackDown’s Women’s Division.

 

MC – And we’re back and we are awaiting the arrival of Ali & Shorty G, as Shinsuke and Cesaro are already in the ring. Sami Zain, the Intercontinental Champion is at ring side.

 

Ali & Shorty G vs Shinsuke and Cesaro

5 minutes in to the match Cesaro performs a closeline on Ali. Picks him up and performs a Cesaro Swing. Look at him go, 12 swings! Drops Ali. 1,2, Ali kicks out.

7 minutes in, Shorty G applies an Ankle Lock on Shinsuke, but what’s this! It’s the GM, Kurt Angle cones out and, mic in hand and calls for an interruption.

KA – Now G, I know that once upon a time I granted you permission to use that hold, but it was when I had a “special relationship” with your team back then, the American Alpha. Now I am General Manager. I manage all of you. I cannot be biased like that, by letting any one superstar use my patented moves.  So I am barring you from ever using that move again, while I’m the Commanding Officer here.

Shorty G looks confused, while everybody is distracted Sami Zayn enters the ring and hits Gable on the head with his IC Title. The ref misses it.  As a dizzy Shorty G tried to get up, Shinsuke connects with the Kinshasa, 1,2,3. We have winners! The Artists Collective are the 8^th team to enter the “2020 Friday Night SmackDown Live on Fox Post WrestleMania All-Encompassing Tag Team Tournament”.

MC – And we’re back for our final match of the night, our main event, for the Universal Championship!

Braun Strowman (C) vs Goldberg

(Goldberg’s music drops he enter with an unfriendly face)

(Braun’s music drops, he enters with an even more harmful look)

In the first minutes, Goldberg hits three spears, but could not capitalize. Braun gets up and hits a a body avalanche, then a backbreaker. Goldberg fight back. Hits another spear. Tries to go for a Jackhammer. But could not pick the mountain of humanity that his Braun Strowman. His back gives way. Goldberg seems seriously hurt. The referee is checking on him, but Braun has none of that. Powerslams Goldberg, 1,2, he kicks out!!! Incredibly. But Goldberg is unable to get up. His back his killing him. Strowman continues on the offense, fallaway slam. Goldberg appears to be knock out, 1, 2, but he still kicks out at two and a half!

(Kurt Angle’s music is hear throughout the arena, the GM enters, picks up a chair and sits ringside. The commentators are unsure as to what the GM is doing out here.)

11 minutes in, Strowman is getting frustrated, he has tried to pin Goldberg 4 times, and the motionless Goldberg each time kicks out. Strowman applies a submission hold, quite unusual for the Monster. Boston Crab on Goldberg, applying the pressure on Goldberg’s back. He looks like he’s about to crack a vertebra. He doesn’t tap out.

(Sheamus music sounds, Sheamus enters the stage slowly but does not approach the Ring. Just stands there looking mysteriously to the ring).

18 minutes in, tired of this, Strowman takes his shirt of, he looks deranged. He picks up Goldberg, presses him to a corner, repeatedly buries his shoulder in Goldberg’s chest. Now some chops. Goldberg looks like he is in dreamland already, but he is hanging on somehow.

Sheamus approaches the ring and begins to talk smack towards the superstars. Braun approaches the apron to exchange some heated words with the Celtic Warrior, causing a distraction to the Ref. Seeing this, Kurt Angle unties his Bow-tie and begins choking the fading Goldberg with it, the ref is oblivious to this, and Goldberg hits is breaking point. Shortly after Braun picks his opponent, delivers a running powerslam, this is it, 1,2 3. Strowman retains.

MC – What a match! What a night.

Corey – Precisely Michael, Goldberg held on, but in the end the momentum of Braun Strowman is too big, he is unstoppable.

MC – But I’m still wondering about those interferences from the General Manager and Sheamus.

Corey – Well the Commanding Officer has the right to interfere. He’s in charge. As for Sheamus, my guess is as good as anyone’s.

MC – Yes Corey, I just wonder, Braun being the absolute Monster he is, and receiving some helping hands from outside the ring, who in the hell is capable of taking this belt off his waist?

O show começa com o General Manager Big Show a falar a partir do seu escritório: 

Big Show: Good evening everyone, Money in the Bank is less than a month away, so tonight we’re gonna have a show that will start to determine the Money in the Bank card. We already know that Andrade will defend his US title in a Triple Threat Match, Rusev is already qualified for that match, and tonight we’ll find the other competitor on a Triple Threat between Murphy, Tozawa and Angel Garza. The Street Profits will also have to defend their titles at Money in the Bank, and tonight we’ll find who their opponents will be, as The Authors of Pain will fight The Viking Raiders for that opportunity. As you already know, Kevin Owens and Shelton Benjamin will fight for a spot at the ladder match. On the women’s side we will also have a qualifying match between Natalya and Kairi Sane. And on our main event, Drew McIntyre will defend the WWE title for the first time against Jinder Mahal. With that said, I hope you all enjoy the show.

Vic Joseph: Good evening everyone, welcome to Monday Night Raw. And good evening Aiden, welcome to our commentary table. 

Aiden: Thank you Vic, it’s a pleasure to be here, and to be part of WWE’s flagship show. 

Vic Joseph: Let’s start the action with our first match of the night. 

 

Apollo Crews vs Bobby Lashley 

O combate começa muito equilibrado, com ambos a tentar superar a força um do outro, a tentarem aplicar locks mas sem sucesso. Ambos tentam também um shoulder tackle mas nenhum cai. O combate vai evoluindo a um ritmo normal, a maior experiência de Lashley vai lhe permitindo contra-atacar algumas manobras de Crews e ficar por cima no combate. Além do combate, o que vai evoluindo também são os gritos de Lana para Lashley, que visivelmente não está satisfeito com a sua companheira. Lashley aplica um powerslam em Crews e dirige se às cordas e grita para Lana: I got this! Lana continua a gritar lhe para acabar com Crews e Lashley insiste que vai acabar brevemente, esta distração dá tempo a Crews de se levantar, e quando Lashley se vira de novo para o ringue Crews aplica um enziguri que faz com que Lashley caia para fora do ringue. Lana grita lhe para que se levante, e Lashley consegue à contagem de 4, com cara de poucos amigos. Crews sai do ringue e Lashley surpreende-o com um ataque violento contra os degraus, e em seguida desfere vários murros. À contagem de 8, Lashley mete Crews de novo no ringue e entra também, quando Crews se levanta sofre um spear. Lashley efetua o pin e consegue a vitória. 

Lana sobe ao ringue para festejar, mas Lashley não lhe dá grande confiança e acaba por sair do ringue com cara de poucos amigos.

Authors of Pain vs The Viking Raiders 

Combate entre as duas equipas com os maiores brutamontes da divisão de Tag Team. Akam e Rezar contam também com Rollins e Murphy no ringside. Sempre que os Viking Raiders começam a ganhar controlo do combate, Rollins ou Murphy tratam de distrair o árbitro para travarem o ímpeto dos adversários. Após 15 minutos de basicamente 2 contra 4, Akam e Rezar aplicam o The last chapter em Erik e conseguem a vitória, garantindo a oportunidade de lutar pelos títulos de Tag Team no Money in the Bank.  

Os 4 membros celebram e saem do ringue, e a câmera passa para o backstage com Charly Caruso. 

Charly: We’re here with the United States Champion Andrade, Angel Garza and their business Manager Zelina Vega. Andrade, how do you react to the fact that if Angel Garza wins tonight, we will be involved in the match for your title at Money in the Bank? 

Zelina responde por Andrade. 

Zelina: How dare you Charly? Are you suggesting that Angel Garza would try to take Andrade’s title away? Let me explain you what will happen, Angel Garza will win tonight, and at Money in the Bank he will work with Andrade to not give Rusev any chance, and Andrade will retain his title. 

Ouve se o riso de Seth Rollins ao fundo, que aparece com Murphy, Akam e Rezar. 

Rollins: Ahahahahah I’m sorry Zelina, but you are so wrong. I will explain the situation. Tonight, Murphy will beat your boy Garza, and then at Money in the Bank he will beat your other boy Andrade and become US champion. Also at Money in the Bank, Akam and Rezar will become tag team champions, and I, the monday night Messiah, will become WWE Champion. 

Voltamos ao ringue para o combate de qualificação para o Money in the Bank Women’s Ladder Match. 

Natalya vs Kairi Sane 

Aqui temos um combate com um ritmo mais rápido. Natalya tenta usar a sua experiência mas Kairi é das melhores wrestlers do mundo e tem sempre o controlo do combate. Enquanto lutam Asuka vai dando espectáculo no ringside, sempre a gritar e a dançar. Quando Natalya consegue recuperar de um rest hold, aplica uma clothesline que lhe permite ter algum tempo para recuperar forças. Natalya aplica um german suplex e tenta posicionar Kairi para o sharpshooter, mas Asuka sobe à apron para a distrair. Neste momento aparece a Raw Women’s Champion Becky Lynch, que derruba Asuka. Becky vai se embora, enquanto Natalya consegue prender o sharpshooter, após alguma resistência, Kairi acaba por desistir, e Natalya qualifica se para o Ladder Match. 

A câmera segue Becky ao backstage e aparece Nia Jax. Não dizem nada, ficam apenas a olhar uma para a outra, aparentemente com vontade de lutarem logo ali. 

 

Voltamos ao ringue. 

Street Profits vs Hawkins & Ryder 

Os Raw Tag Team Champions estão em ação pela primeira vez desde a Wrestlemania, e tiveram aqui o que se pode considerar um combate fácil. Zack Ryder ainda conseguiu equilibrar um pouco o combate quando estava em ringue com Montez Ford, mas aos 8 minutos de combate os campeões conseguiram a vitória após um frog splash de Montez Ford em Curt Hawkins. 

Seguimos para intervalo 

 

Murphy vs Tozawa vs Angel Garza 

Murphy fez se acompanhar de Akam e Rezar, o que lhe deu uma vantagem neste combate. Garza tinha também Andrade e Zelina, e apenas Tozawa estava sozinho, portanto como podem imaginar foi um combate cheio de distrações, até que a cerca de 15 minutos de combate, o árbitro fartou se e expulsou toda a gente que não devia ali estar. O combate continuou com os 3 a tentarem obter a vitória com vários roll-ups. À passagem dos 20 minutos, Angel Garza atirou Tozawa contra o poste, e este pareceu ter ficado lesionado. O árbitro ficou distraído com Tozawa, e a chamar assistência para ele, e aí Rollins apareceu sorrateiramente, entrou no ringue e surpreendeu Garza com um enziguri, e fugiu logo dali para o árbitro não o ver. Murphy levantou Garza, aplicou o Murphy’s law, chamou o árbitro para fazer a contagem e conseguiu assim a vitória no combate. No Money in the Bank teremos Andrade vs Rusev vs Murphy pelo US title. 

 

No backstage vemos Lana e Lashley prontos para irem embora. 

 

Lana: Bobby, to celebrate your victory tonight, you should take me to dinner in a nice restaurant. 

Lashley: Lana are you kidding me? We can’t go to restaurants, remember?  

Lana: Why not? I deserve romance, I’m the best woman you’ll ever met, you have to take care of me. 

Lashley: Because there is a freaking virus out there, we have to be careful, don’t you watch the news? Even the McMahons are infected. 

Lana: I don’t care, I want to be treated like a princess Bobby. 

Lashley: Lana, shut up please, I’m tired, I just wanna go home and sleep, I can’t hear your voice anymore.

Aparece R-Truth... 

R-Truth: Hey Bobby, you’ve been ON FIRE man, what do you say we form a tag team? I have a great name for us, The Truth and Bobby Lana... what do you think? 

Lashley enerva se de vez, e pobre R-Truth, é repetidamente atirado contra a parede e é deixado inconsciente. 

 

De volta à arena. 

 

Saxton: Well Lashley is clearly not in a good mood, I think that Lana is making him become even more dangerous than usual. 

Aiden: Lana certainly has the power of driving a man crazy. 

Vic Joseph: Let’s go to another qualifying match for Money in the Bank. (toca a theme do Kevin Owens) 

 

Kevin Owens vs Shelton Benjamin 

Combate entre dois atletas com um moveset bastante variado. Owens começou imediatamente com um superkick, tentou o pin mas Shelton safou se ao 2. Owens continuou o ataque com um running senton e mais alguns golpes. Eventualmente Shelton conseguiu levantar se de um rest hold, levantando também Owens e aplicando o samoan drop. De seguida tivemos Shelton a aplicar alguns german suplexes e belly to belly. Tentou o pin mas Owens safou se também aos 2. Passam alguns minutos e Owens tem Shelton sentado num canto, corre para ele para aplicar o cannonball, mas no último segundo Shelton desvia se, levanta se e vai para aplicar mais um german suplex, mas Owens conseguiu rodopiar para trás de Shelton, virou-o para si e aplicou o stunner, conseguindo assim o pin e qualificando-se para o Money in the Bank. 

Último intervalo da noite 

 

Voltamos no escritório de Big Show, que está ao telemóvel, quando chega Rollins, Murphy, Akam e Rezar. 

Rollins: Hey Show, did you see what happened today? Murphy, Akam and Rezar earned title shots, fair and square, I want to know when will I get my chance to earn a shot at the WWE title. 

Big Show: I think we have different views of what ‘winning fair and square’ means, I really don’t appreciate the way you’ve been interfeering in each others matches, one day that may backfire. 

Rollins: Yeah yeah yeah like if you’d never do the same. It’s not my fault that we’re smarter than anyone else. 

Big Show: You’ll have the chance to prove that you’re smarter than everyone in the ringue. Next week, you’ll face Samoa Joe, the winner gets a WWE title match at Money in the Bank. 

Rollins: Samoa Joe, huh?! Ok, let’s go guys. 

 

Voltamos ao ringue, e é hora do main event. 

Drew McIntyre vs Jinder Mahal 

A campaínha toca e Jinder estica a mão para cumprimentar Drew, só que quando Drew estende também a mão, Jinder afasta-se e ri-se na cara dele. Drew enerva-se e ataca Jinder, encurralando-o no canto e desferindo vários murros. Agarra em Jinder e atira-o para o meio do ringue, quando este se levanta... Claymore kick, 1,2,3 Drew acaba com o combate em menos de um minuto. 

 

Quando parece que o show vai acabar, aparece uma imagem do exterior, com Samoa Joe a conversar com Kevin Owens, não se ouve o que estão a dizer. Entretanto Owens entra no seu carro e arranca, enquanto Samoa Joe dirige-se para o seu carro. É aqui que vemos Rollins e Murphy através de outra câmera a sair do edifício e a seguir Samoa Joe. Voltamos à câmera focada em Samoa Joe, ouve se um carro a acelerar que aparece de repente, travando mesmo à frente de Samoa Joe. Do carro saem Akam e Rezar, Joe percebe que terá ali problemas, pousa o seu saco e atira se logo a Rezar. Os dois lutam, e Akam junta se a Rezar e com vantagem númerica não dão hipóteses a Joe. Entretanto chegam também Murphy e Rollins para se juntarem à festa. Rollins liga o carro enquanto os outros três seguram Samoa Joe com o braço esticado. Percebe se a intenção, e lentamente Rollins avança com o carro passando por cima do braço de Samoa Joe, que grita em agonia. 

 Felizmente aparecem os Street Profits, Apollo Crews, Ricochet, Zack Ryder...que correm em relação a Samoa Joe, obrigando os maus da fita a entrarem no carro e a fugirem. Chega também Big Show que ao ver Samoa Joe apenas diz “They will regret this”.

O Shelton é um excelente performer, com um físico muito credível, merece mais destaque.

After last night's actions from Seth Rollins, Murphy, Akam and Rezar towards Samoa Joe, the General Manager of Monday Night Raw, Big Show, informed that Murphy, Akam and Rezar will no longer have title matches at Money in the Bank. Seth Rollins will also suffer the consequences for his actions, as Big Show cancelled next week's match between him and Samoa Joe, so Rollins won't have the chance to fight for the WWE title at Money in the Bank.
