Andrew Bynum Flamenco Dances In Spain

 

ALL BALL NERVE CENTER – Poor Andrew Bynum. OK, sure, it’s hard to say “poor” anything when we’re referring to a guy who:

 

Has already made about $50 million over the course of his career, including the roughly $16 million he banked last season without playing a game

Has won two NBA titles

Is almost certainly due for a max contract this summer

 

Still, most things Bynum has touched recently have turned to stone, not gold. There were the injuries and technical fouls and ejections in Los Angeles. There was the trade to Philly, which was supposed to provide a fresh start, but instead mostly just jump-started the end of the Doug Collins era. There was the revelation that Bynum had re-injured his knee, ultimately polishing off his season, not while playing basketball but while bowling.

 

So we can understand the frustration Sixers fans must feel today when video surfaces of their erstwhile franchise center, dressed like The Fonz, nimbly dancing upon a stage at a cafe in Madrid:

MIAMI -- The worst-kept secret among NBA award recipients will be formally revealed Sunday when Miami Heat star LeBron James is named Most Valuable Player for the fourth time, league sources confirmed Friday.

 

James has been voted MVP for the second straight season and for the fourth time in the past five years. He'll join Michael Jordan, Bill Russell, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar and Wilt Chamberlain with at least four MVP awards.

 

The only suspense remaining is in the final tally and how far James has distanced himself in the voting from other candidates this season that include Oklahoma City's Kevin Durant and Chris Paul of the Los Angeles Clippers.

Não estava a perguntar pelo fazer sentido para a equipa. Estava a referir-me mais ao fazer sentido enquanto haver possibilidade de isso acontecer. Mas, tendo em conta que é tão falado, deve ser mesmo possível.

Kevin Garnett isn't ready to make a decision on his basketball future.

 

The Knicks eliminated the Celtics from the playoffs on Friday night in Boston.

 

"I haven't really thought about it, to be honest with you," Garnett said. "Doc pulled Paul [Pierce] and me to the side and all three of us agreed to speak later. It's too emotional, obviously it's a big game. Tough loss, especially at home. It's a different day for that conversation."

 

Garnett, who is signed for two more seasons, will turn 37 later this month. He is seventh on the NBA's all-time minutes list.

 

He hinted that his decision will hinge on whether or not Pierce is still with the Celtics.

 

"One of the big reasons I came here was because of Paul," Garnett said. "Obviously, you want to be in the situation where it's better. I want to make sure that I'm always able to help a team and be in a position to give something. I demand a lot of myself, both physically and from a skill level. I'd be lying to you all if I said Paul didn't play into that factor. It's just too soon of a conversation for me right now."

Sinceramente nem sei o que quero, ver os jogos dos C's sem o PP e KG não vai ser a mesma coisa :(
