Villas-Boas explica por que falhou em Inglaterra

 

Se é o sonho de qualquer treinador comandar uma equipa da Premier League, depois de duas más experiências (Tottenham e Chelsea), André Villas-Boas não se mostra muito inclinado a voltar ao futebol inglês.

 

«Tive excelentes experiências profissionais em Inglaterra com dois dos maiores clubes do mundo, e gostei muito do meu tempo naquele país, mas a verdade é que não alcancei o sucesso que queria, e sinto que estou virado para outro lugar nesta altura», diz o treinador português, em entrevista à talkSPORT.

 

O técnico esteve nove meses no Chelsea e o dobro, 18, no Tottenham, tendo sido despedido de ambos os clubes. Para Villas-Boas, o problema é que há pouca paciência em Inglaterra. «O futebol é um negócio comandado dos resultados e é preciso consegui-los imediatamente. Está a perder-se aquela era em que os treinadores tinham estabilidade. Não é só no futebol, mas na sociedade. O que é novo é sempre melhor. As pessoas esperam mudanças imediatas, sem darem tempo para que seja construída alguma coisa».

 

Villas-Boas garante não trabalhará mais esta época, «Vou parar até junho. É tempo de eu e o meu staff discutirmos qual o próximo passo a dar. Já tivemos alguns contactos, e tenho a certeza de que algo bom vai acontecer. Queremos um clube que tenha a ambição de vencer troféus. Não sou muito seletivo em relação ao país em que quero trabalhar a seguir. Tenho a mente aberta para compreender o que os clubes querem alcançar», acrescenta.
