After Brock conquered Goldberg at WrestleMania 33, it was almost incomprehensible that anyone would be able to stand up to The Beast, let alone overtake him for his coveted title. Answering that call with vigor, Raw General Manager Kurt Angle established a historic Extreme Rules Fatal 5-Way No. 1 Contender's Match at WWE Extreme Rules – a monumental contest that would assure that whoever emerged victorious would be worthy of challenging for the Universal Title. And when the dust cleared, that Superstar was Samoa Joe.

 

Samoa Joe has quickly established himself as a force of pure bedlam in the WWE Universe, and he's out to dominate anything and everything in his path. While The Samoan Submission Specialist has shown that he has the tools to do just that, is he relentless enough to dominate The Conqueror? Or will Brock Lesnar add Joe to his own path of carnage?

 

Intercontinental Champion The Miz vs. Dean Ambrose

The Ambrose Asylum may yet get its crown jewel back, as Dean Ambrose prepares to once again battle The Miz for the Intercontinental Championship this Sunday at the first-ever WWE Great Balls of Fire pay-per-view.

 

When Raw General Manager Kurt Angle made the match official, he put The Lunatic Fringe back in the running to relieve Miz of the title that The Awesome One captured in controversial fashion at WWE Extreme Rules. However, it remains to be seen whether Ambrose's unpredictable nature will be enough to regain the coveted prize now that the odds have been stacked against him.

 

Though Ambrose has been able to get inside The A-Lister's head in recent weeks and has even driven a wedge into the Intercontinental Champion's marriage, the titleholder has struck back by acquiring Bo Dallas and Curtis Axel as members of his Miztourage. Together, the devious pair has helped increase Miz's good fortune – both with a giant teddy bear sneak attack and then in Six-Man Tag Team action. After Miz defeated Heath Slater to retain his title, he orchestrated a 3-on-1 beatdown on The Lunatic Fringe, culminating in a Skull-Crushing Finale. Will this be Ambrose's fate this Sunday?

 

Raw Tag Team Champions Cesaro & Sheamus vs. The Hardy Boyz (30-Minute WWE Iron Man Match)

Do The Hardy Boyz still have what it takes to once again rise to the top of the mountain? The WWE Universe will find out at the first-ever WWE Great Balls of Fire pay-per-view, when Raw Tag Team Champions Cesaro & Sheamus once again go head-to-head against Matt & Jeff in a 30-Minute WWE Iron Man Match. The winners of the bout will be the team with the most pinfalls or submissions once the time limit has been reached.

 

Eight nights after Sheamus & Cesaro captured the coveted Raw Tag Team Championship in a hard-fought Steel Cage Match at WWE Extreme Rules, the new titleholders battled their extreme predecessors to a draw in a 2-out-of-3 Falls championship rematch on Raw, a bout that ended in a double count-out and left questions as to who was the better tandem, especially after The Alabaster Gladiator and The Swiss Superman quickly retreated up the ramp while the Hardys appeared ready for more.

 

In the weeks that followed, Matt & Jeff worked to get back into title contention, picking up a huge victory over the formidable Luke Gallows & Karl Anderson and even beating Sheamus & Cesaro themselves in Six-Man Tag Team Match. All the while, a great many members of the WWE Universe and the locker room alike have clamored to find out if and when the Hardys would, in fact, get another opportunity at the gold.

 

Now, the wait is finally over!

 

Raw Women's Champion Alexa Bliss vs. Sasha Banks

Emerging from the chaos of the highly contested Raw Women's division, Sasha Banks has earned the right to go one-on-one against the ruthless Alexa Bliss for the Raw Women's Championship at the first-ever WWE Great Balls of Fire pay-per-view.

 

Even before she captured her illustrious title at WWE Payback, Alexa has seemingly had a hard time making (or, more to the point, keeping) friends. By extension, the Women's division has been particularly volatile as of late, with every female Superstar of Team Red constantly clamoring to face "The Goddess of WWE."

 

With threats to the Raw Women's Championship emerging from every direction, Raw General Manager Kurt Angle created a Gauntlet Match between Banks, Emma, Nia Jax, Mickie James, Dana Brooke and Bayley to determine the No. 1 contender. And, out of the fray of that whirlwind match, The Boss earned herself an opportunity to become a four-time Raw Women's Champion.

 

It will be the ultimate showdown of Boss vs. "Goddess," and only one Superstar will walk out with the Raw Women's Championship. Who will reign supreme when Sasha Banks challenges The Wicked Witch of WWE?

 

Roman Reigns vs. Braun Strowman (Ambulance Match)

Roman Reigns and Braun Strowman will incorporate a familiar instrument of destruction in their renewed, volatile rivalry when they collide in an Ambulance Match at the first-ever WWE Great Balls of Fire pay-per-view event.

 

Back in April on Raw, Strowman unleashed a relentless assault on The Big Dog, flipping over an ambulance with his war-torn adversary inside. He then followed up that vicious attack with a dominant victory over The Big Dog at WWE Payback. The following month, Reigns showed it was still his yard when he executed a brutal counter-assault on Strowman that sent the big man away in an ambulance of his own.

 

Strowman would return the way he went out, suddenly reemerging in an ambulance as The Big Dog battled Samoa Joe on the June 19 edition of Raw. Not only did the distraction allow Joe to overcome Reigns, but The Monster Among Men got some of his own licks in on the three-time WWE Champion before challenging Reigns to an Ambulance Match at WWE's first-ever Great Balls of Fire pay-per-view event.

 

An Ambulance Match can't end in disqualification, count-out, pinfall or submission. Instead, the only way for Reigns or Strowman to emerge victorious is to put their opponent into the back of an ambulance and close the doors.

 

But who will survive the carnage between the opening bell and the final slamming of the door?

 

Seth Rollins vs. Bray Wyatt

Seth Rollins will dare to step into the darkness and go head-to-head against Bray Wyatt when the two intense adversaries battle at the first-ever WWE Great Balls of Fire pay-per-view on Sunday, July 9.

 

Wyatt considers himself a "god" and has set his mystical sights of Rollins, though he'll get no worship from The Kingslayer, who toppled the would-be deity with a sacrifice dive from the top rope to the outside on the June 19 edition of Monday Night Raw – resulting in Rollins needing three stitches to close a gash on the side of his face.

 

The Eater of Worlds' labyrinthine proclamations seem to have had no effect on Rollins, who has continued to label Wyatt a "coward." Nevertheless, one week after their high-flying altercation, Wyatt made a calculated move of his own when he challenged the WWE 2K18 cover Superstar to a showdown at WWE Great Balls of Fire. The Eater of Worlds claimed the event would be the day of Rollins' "reclamation" where he would either embrace what Wyatt claimed he really was or "burn."

 

With these two fierce competitors preparing to do battle, will Rollins regret his so-called "blasphemy" toward his ominous foe? Or will it prove to be a scary outcome for The New Face of Fear?

 

Enzo Amore vs. Big Cass

This right here is Enzo Amore. His best friend attacked and betrayed him not once, but twice, and now he's serving up a mic-saber for a seven-foot hater against Big Cass at the first-ever WWE Great Balls of Fire pay-per-view.

 

The idea of Smacktalker Skywalker's "brother" turning to the dark side was almost unfathomable until about two weeks ago, when Corey Graves revealed Cass as the perpetrator behind the backstage attacks that had felled Enzo in consecutive weeks. The seven-footer doubled down on his treachery when Enzo attempted to mend fences, tossing his "little buddy" down the ramp and striking out on his own in the most heartbreaking fashion imaginable.

 

Now, as revealed in a WWE.com exclusive, The Realest Guy in the Room gets a chance to say "how-you-doin'" to his former friend this Sunday in a battle that's sure to be heavy on emotion and long on odds for an Enzo victory. With Cass holding the size and strength advantage, it's a tough road for Muscles Marinara. But when it comes to toughness, you can't teach that.

 

WWE Cruiserweight Champion Neville vs. Akira Tozawa (Kickoff Match)

It certainly seemed inevitable and now, with the aid of his new contract with Titus Worldwide, Akira Tozawa will face Neville for the WWE Cruiserweight Championship at the first-ever WWE Great Balls of Fire pay-per-view event Kickoff.

 

Since defeating Rich Swann for the WWE Cruiserweight Title at Royal Rumble, Neville has been nearly unstoppable, displaying an unbridled aggression to prove that he is the best Cruiserweight in the world. The King of the Cruiserweights backed up his claims following an intense rivalry with Austin Aries – defeating A-Double at WrestleMania, Payback and WWE Extreme Rules, and ultimately leaving Aries out of action.

 

Now, the WWE Cruiserweight Champion is determined to root out "pretenders" and ensure his dominance. However, Titus O'Neil and Titus Worldwide believe that they hold the key to the future of the Cruiserweight division.

 

Titus O'Neil spent weeks courting Akira Tozawa to join the expanding Titus Worldwide brand, promising an opportunity against the WWE Cruiserweight Champion. Neville didn't take kindly to O'Neil's quest, but Tozawa played along, getting under The King of the Cruiserweights' skin and turning up the animosity between them. Finally, when Tozawa signed with Titus Worldwide, O'Neil delivered and secured the Japanese Superstar's WWE Cruiserweight Championship opportunity against Neville.

 

Is Tozawa the Superstar that will dethrone Neville, or will The King of the Cruiserweights prove that even with Titus Worldwide behind him, Tozawa is not on "the Neville level"?

eu não quis dizer que se tão a cagar por não fazerem o combate no Raw. acho é que o segmento foi fraco, bastante, tendo em conta as promos todas para trás. o facto de ficarem no pre show é que mostra que se tão um bocado a cagar, juntado esse tal angle de 2ª.

Eu metia este no pre-show. Acho que o Seth é o melhor lutador a não me dizer nada, cada vez mais.

O Rollins foi queimado pelo ego do Triple H, tivessem avançado com a feud na altura certa e seguissem com uma storyline onde o Seth recuperaria o título na Wrestlemania e era sem duvidas o babyface mais over da empresa, mas claro que o Hunter tinha que ter o seu momento :lol:

É tipo, temos 2 bacanos, não sabemos o que fazer com eles, feudam, porque? Não sei, ponham o Bray a fazer umas promos maradas que os putos ficam cheios de medo, ai o Seth vai ser um grande babyface.

Não sei onde foste buscar essa ideia mas nas últimas 5 Wrestlemanias ganhou contra o Lesnar e o Sting e perdeu contra o Bryan, Rollins e Reigns pelo título e se no caso do Bryan até concordo que o tenha ajudado a ficar ainda mais over, nos outros dois a feud e os combates em nada ajudaram o Roman e o Seth, só os queimou ainda mais entre o público :lol:

 

No caso do Roman ainda tiveram a ideia de o meter fora da tv por umas semanas para não saturarem a feud mas o Seth ficou literalmente meses a encher chouriços, não percebo em que mundo um combate com o Triple H na Mania é mais importante que uma storyline com pés e cabeça

Eu não disse que o Hunter enterrou ninguém mas sem em vez de esperarem até à Wrestlemania tivessem feito o combate no Hell in a Cell ou no PPV a seguir e seguissem com uma storyline com sentido para o Rollins em vez de ficar meses parado à espera que a época do futebol passasse para o HHH voltar não tenho duvidas que o Seth não estava no ponto onde está hoje, onde quase que não tem reação :lol:

Porque é que a feud do Seth e do H foi uma storyline sem pés e cabeça?

O Seth foi queimado pelo ego do HHH porque ao invés de continuarem com uma storyline que tinha sentido e um rumo definido (desde o regresso do Seth que se notava que havia alguma tensão entre ele e a Authority) o Triple H (ou o Vince idk) achou que deixar o Rollins uma carrada de meses a encher chouriços para quando acabar a época do futebol americano o Hunter voltar e retornarem a feud era a melhor ideia para elevar o Seth, e o resultado disto é a personagem sem sal e de quem ninguém quer saber que vês hoje.

Se queres ver o significado de enterrado tens a feud do Ryder com o Kane que é um bom exemplo disso :lol:

Terem feito o Seth encher chouriços tanto tempo foi o pior. E já agora, nem o Roman nem o Seth saíram beneficiados porque ninguém sai beneficiado de um combate que é tão óbvio que vai acontecer e ainda mais óbvio quem vai ganhar.

 

E o Bray sempre foi boring. É suposto ter medo de um gajo que não tem noção da realidade e pensa que é um Deus? Volto a dizer, tirem lhe a barba, a personagem dele sem barba era um comic relief

Isso do Wyatt é bem verdade. Era dos que gostava mais há uns tempos, mas agora não tenho interesse nenhum. Sempre a dizer o mesmo que um gajo não percebe nada e o pior é que depois de tanta conversa acaba sempre a maioria das feuds a levar na boca
