Air Paris: "Last week, I showed AJ Styles that he made a huge mistake by turning his back on me. But enough about that, I'm not here to talk about AJ Styles. I'm here to announce that from now on, I am no longer Air Paris. I am Kid Ego, and I am the newest member of 3 Count!"

Kid Romeo and Evan Karagias cheer as Kid Ego continues.

Kid Ego: "You see, 3 Count is where the real stars are. And with me by their side, we are going to take over the Cruiserweight division. So all you better watch out, because Kid Ego is here to stay!"

Kid Romeo and Evan Karagias nod in agreement as the camera fades to black.

The camera opens on a dimly lit, abandoned warehouse. A shadowy figure steps into the frame, and as the light catches him…

CM Punk: "I'm CM Punk, and I'm coming to WCW. Some of you might know me, some of you might not, but you're all going to find out who I am. I'm straight edge, I'm a wrestling purist, and I'm going to be the best thing to happen to this company in a long time."

Punk paces around the warehouse as he speaks, his intensity growing with each word.

CM Punk: "I'm not here to make friends, and I'm not here to play nice. I'm here to win, and I'll do whatever it takes to make that happen. So if you're in my way, get ready to be steamrolled. Because I'm the Best in the World, and I'm coming for the top."

Punk looks straight into the camera, his eyes burning with determination.

CM Punk: "Next week on Nitro, you'll all see what I'm capable of. And I promise you, you won't be disappointed."

Punk stares down the camera for a few more moments before turning and walking away, the camera following him until he disappears into the shadows.

Buff Bagwell 4.gifimage.pngChuck Palumbo 1.gif

Buff Bagwell vs Chuck Palumbo

In a closely contested match, Buff Bagwell emerged victorious after using the ropes for leverage during a pinfall. Chuck Palumbo showed great athleticism and strength throughout the match, but Bagwell's dirty tactics proved to be too much for him to overcome. Despite the loss, Palumbo received a standing ovation from the crowd for his valiant effort. After the match, Bagwell celebrated his win with his signature taunts, much to the dismay of the audience.

As Palumbo and O'Haire are getting ready to leave the ring, Totally Buff (Buff Bagwell and Lex Luger) make their way down to the ring. They start to attack the Natural Born Thrillers, with Bagwell focusing on Palumbo and Luger taking on O'Haire.

The beatdown continues for a few minutes, with Palumbo and O'Haire struggling to fight back against the two experienced veterans. Eventually, security and other wrestlers run down to the ring to break up the fight, with Bagwell and Luger retreating from the scene as chaos ensues.

The commentators speculate about the possible ramifications of this attack and the brewing rivalry between these two teams.

The scene opens backstage where Ernest Miller is walking down the hallway, heading towards his locker room. Suddenly, he's attacked from behind by a hooded figure who blindsides him with a steel chair shot. The figure takes off the hood, revealing himself to be Kanyon.

Kanyon: "You think you're so tough, Miller? I'm sick of you getting in my way. You've been a thorn in my side for too long, and now it's time for payback."

Kanyon pulls out a pair of electric clippers and starts buzzing off Miller's hair, laughing maniacally as he does so. Miller fights back, trying to defend himself, but Kanyon overpowers him, holding him down as he finishes shaving his head.

Kanyon: "Now you look like the loser you are, Miller. The Laughing Man has had the last laugh."

Kanyon stands up, throwing the clippers down on the ground, and walks away as Miller lays there, devastated and humiliated. The camera fades to black as Miller is shown with his newly shaved head, struggling to get up.

WCW Cruiserweight Championship

Jimmy Yang 2k1.gifimage.pngShane Helms 2k1.gif

Yang vs. Shane Helms (c)

In a fast-paced and exciting match, Shane Helms and Yang showed off their incredible athleticism and high-flying skills. The two competitors traded near falls and high-impact maneuvers, but in the end, it was Helms who was able to hit his finishing move, the Vertebreaker, to secure the victory and retain his Cruiserweight Championship.

 ______________________

[Shane Helms is in the ring, holding the WCW Cruiserweight title on his shoulder. The crowd is cheering for him as he takes the microphone.]

Shane Helms: "Another victory for the Hurricane, baby! That's right, I just proved why I'm the greatest Cruiserweight champion of all time. Yang gave it his best shot, but he just couldn't handle me!"

[The crowd cheers as Helms poses with the title.]

Shane Helms: "But you know what, folks? That was just a warm-up. Because next week on Nitro, I'm gonna face a real challenge. A man who's been tearing it up in Japan for years. A man who's been compared to the great Jushin Liger himself. I'm talking about none other than... Hayabusa!"

[The crowd cheers at the mention of Hayabusa's name.]

Shane Helms: "Now, Hayabusa, you may be a legend in Japan, but here in WCW, you're just another guy. And when you step in the ring with the Hurricane, I'm gonna show you what it means to be a true Cruiserweight. I'm gonna hit you with the Vertebreaker, just like I did to Yang. I'm gonna leave you lying on the mat, looking up at the lights, wondering what hit you."

[The crowd cheers as Helms raises the title in the air.]

Shane Helms: "So bring your best, Hayabusa. Because next week, you're gonna find out why they call me the Hurricane. And when I'm done with you, you'll be lucky if you can even fly."

[The crowd cheers as Helms drops the microphone and poses with the title as the camera fades to black.]

 ______________________

In the locker room, Steiner and Flair are arguing. Steiner demands that Flair clean up the mess with Rhodes and takes care of the situation with Jeff Jarrett. He also demands Flair's attention to the WCW World Championship and tonight's main event.

Flair responds, "Now listen here, Big Poppa Pump. You may be the genetic freak, but I am the dirtiest player in the game. I'll take care of Rhodes and Jarrett, and I'll make sure you get your shot at the title. But don't you ever forget who the real legend in this business is. WOO!"

Steiner responds, "Just make sure you take care of business. Because if you don't, I will. And when I win the WCW World Championship, I'm not gonna forget who had my back and who didn't. Holler if you hear me!"

Booker T 1.gifimage.pngScott Steiner 9.gif

Booker T vs Scott Steiner

The match between Booker T and Scott Steiner was an intense back-and-forth battle that had the audience on the edge of their seats. Both competitors pulled out all the stops, with Steiner using his immense strength to overpower Booker T, while Booker T relied on his agility and quickness to outmaneuver Steiner.

As the match approached its climax, Ric Flair attempted to interfere on Steiner's behalf, but he botched the attempt and inadvertently hit Steiner instead. This gave Booker T the opening he needed, and he was able to capitalize with a swift and devastating finisher that left Steiner down for the count.

 ______________________

As Booker T was celebrating his hard-fought victory over Scott Steiner, Steiner suddenly sprang to his feet and charged at Booker T. But before he could attack, the music changed and Rey Mysterio's entrance theme started playing.

Mysterio ran down the ramp and leaped over the ropes, entering the ring to help Booker T. Steiner tried to fight off both men, but they managed to overpower him and send him retreating from the ring.

As Mysterio and Booker T stood in the ring, catching their breath and looking around to make sure Steiner wasn't coming back, the camera zoomed in on their faces. It was clear that despite the intense competition they had just been through, they had each other's backs and would always be there to help when the other needed it.

With that, the camera faded to black, and the show came to a close.

Notes on WCW signings and interest for former WWF wrestler

Dave Meltzer • June 5th, 2001

In a move that surprised many in the wrestling world, Eric Bischoff has brought in some fresh new talent to the WCW roster. Rob Van Dam, Samoa Joe, and CM Punk have all made their debuts in recent weeks, and it seems that Bischoff has a larger strategy in mind.

According to sources within WCW, Bischoff is looking to inject some new blood into the company and create a more dynamic roster. He is also said to be a big fan of martial arts and wants to bring in more "MMA style" wrestlers to the mix.

However, not all wrestlers are keen on joining the WCW ranks. Ken Shamrock was reportedly approached for a run with the company, but turned down the offer. Sources close to Shamrock say that he feels WCW lacks direction and visibility, and is more focused on his MMA career with Pride.

That being said, one idea that has been floated around would see Shamrock feuding with Goldberg leading up to Starrcade, possibly with the WCW World Heavyweight Championship on the line. It remains to be seen if this will come to fruition, but it is an exciting prospect for wrestling fans.

As for more new talent, it seems that Bischoff is just getting started. Fans should expect to see more debuts in the coming months as WCW continues to shake things up and try to regain its footing in the wrestling world.

Scott Hudson: "That's right Tony, we have a stacked card tonight with some huge matches. Jim Duggan is set to take on the debuting CM Punk!"

Bobby Heenan: "And in another match, we have Samoa Joe taking on Mike Sanders. Sanders better watch out because Joe is one of the toughest guys in this business."

Tony Schiavone: "Absolutely Bobby, and we also have Jamie Knoble taking on Kid Ego, the newest member of 3 Count."

Scott Hudson: "And in tag team action, we have the Jung Dragons facing off against Team Canada."

Bobby Heenan: "And don't forget about the non-title match between Hugh Morrus and Shane Douglas. That's going to be a hard-hitting match for sure."

Tony Schiavone: "And in our main event, we have Goldberg taking on Shawn Stasiak. Stasiak is going to have his hands full with the former World Champion."

Scott Hudson: "And let's not forget about the contract signing for the WCW World Championship match at the Great American Bash. The champion Booker T will be signing the contract with both Rey Mysterio and Jeff Jarrett in attendance."

Jim Duggan 1.gifimage.pngCM Punk 2k1.gif

Jim Duggan vs CM Punk

CM Punk defeated Jim Duggan via submission in a 12-minute match. Punk dominated the match with his superior technical skills, repeatedly taking Duggan down with various holds and strikes. In the end, Punk locked in his signature submission move, the "Anaconda Vise", a one-armed headlock that puts immense pressure on the opponent's neck and shoulder. Duggan tried to fight out of it but eventually passed out from the pain, forcing the referee to stop the match and award the victory to Punk.

 ______________________

As Jim Duggan lays on the mat, clutching his arm in pain, CM Punk grabs a microphone and enters the ring. He looks down at Duggan with disdain before addressing the crowd.

"Look at this pathetic excuse for a wrestler," Punk says, sneering. "I bet you people have been cheering for him for years, haven't you? You've turned a blind eye to his behavior, his drug use, because he was your hero. Well, let me tell you something - I'm better than all of you."

The crowd boos loudly, but Punk doesn't seem to care.

"I don't need drugs or alcohol to be a winner," he continues. "I'm straight edge, and that means I'm better than all of you. I'm better than Jim Duggan, and I'm better than anyone in that locker room. You can all learn something from me - if you want to be a winner, you need to live a straight edge lifestyle."

Punk drops the microphone and exits the ring, leaving Duggan to be helped to his feet by the referees. The crowd continues to boo Punk as he makes his way up the ramp, but he just smirks and raises his arms in victory.

Samoa Joe.gifimage.pngMike Sanders.gif

Samoa Joe vs Mike Sanders

Samoa Joe dominated the match, displaying his superior strength and agility. He hit Sanders with a series of strikes and suplexes, but Sanders managed to get some offense in with a low blow and a neckbreaker. However, Joe quickly recovered and hit Sanders with the Muscle Buster, followed by the Coquina Clutch submission hold for the win. Sting played a supportive role at ringside, cheering on Joe and stopping any potential interference from Sanders' allies.

Backstage area. Mean Gene Okerlund is standing with Ric Flair.

Mean Gene Okerlund: Ladies and gentlemen, I am here with "The Nature Boy" Ric Flair, who has an important announcement to make.

Ric Flair: That's right, Mean Gene. I've got something to say to the WCW Universe, and especially to Dustin Rhodes. Dustin, you and I have a long history together. We've had some epic battles in the past, and now I want one more shot at you, at the Great American Bash.

Dustin Rhodes enters the shot, looking serious.

Dustin Rhodes: Flair, you want to challenge me? You think you can still go toe-to-toe with the "American Nightmare"? Well, I'm here to tell you that I accept your challenge. You and me, one-on-one, at the Great American Bash.

Ric Flair smirks, looking pleased.

Ric Flair: That's what I like to hear, Dustin. You and me, two legends of this business, going at it one more time. Woo!

Dustin Rhodes: And just to make things interesting, Flair, let's make it a no-holds-barred match.

Ric Flair looks intrigued.

Ric Flair: No holds barred, huh? You got it, Dustin. You're on.

Dustin Rhodes: And one more thing, Flair. If I win, you have to admit that I'm the better man.

Ric Flair scoffs, but nods his head.

Ric Flair: Fine, Dustin. You want to play that game? If you win, I'll admit that you're the better man. But we both know that's not going to happen, don't we? To be the man... You know the rest.

Dustin Rhodes: We'll see about that, Flair. See you at the Great American Bash.

Dustin walks away as Flair looks on, still smirking.

Ric Flair: Woo! The "Nature Boy" still has it!

Jamie Noble.gifimage.pngKid Ego.gif

Jamie Knoble vs Kid Ego

In an intense match-up between Kid Ego and Jamie Knoble, Kid Ego ultimately emerged victorious thanks to the interference of Evan Karagias and Kid Romeo. The fast-paced match saw both competitors showcase their impressive in-ring abilities, with Knoble executing some impressive high-flying maneuvers and Ego relying on his agility and quick strikes. However, towards the end of the match, Karagias and Romeo intervened and distracted the referee, allowing Ego to land a low blow on Knoble and secure the win. Despite the controversial ending, Kid Ego celebrated his victory and the presence of his allies at ringside certainly played a significant role in the outcome of the match.

______________________

Tony Schiavone: Ladies and gentlemen, we're just one week away from the biggest event of the summer, The Great American Bash!

Scott Hudson: And what a card we have in store for you. Let's run down the matches that have been announced so far.

Bobby Heenan: That's right, Scott. We've got the World Tag Team Championship on the line, with Sean O'Haire and Chuck Palumbo defending against Totally Buff.

Tony Schiavone: And in the United States Championship match, Shane Douglas defends against Konnan.

Scott Hudson: Plus, we've got Kanyon taking on Ernest "The Cat" Miller in a grudge match.

Bobby Heenan: And how about Ric Flair going up against Dustin Rhodes? That's a match that's been a long time coming.

Tony Schiavone: And let's not forget about the Cruiserweight Championship, with Shane Helms defending against Hayabusa.

Scott Hudson: And finally, in the main event, Booker T defends the World Championship against Rey Mysterio Jr. and Jeff Jarrett in a Triple Threat match.

Bobby Heenan: What a night it's going to be! The Great American Bash, next Sunday, live on pay-per-view!

Disco Inferno is backstage pacing back and forth, looking agitated. He stops and looks into the camera, clearly wanting to get something off his chest.

Disco Inferno: "You know what really grinds my gears? This whole RVD thing. Last week he comes in here and beats me in his debut match. The whole crowd is cheering for him like he's some kind of hero. But what has he done? What has he accomplished in this business? Nothing! He's just a flash in the pan, a one-hit wonder. And yet everyone loves him!"

Disco shakes his head in frustration.

Disco Inferno: "But not me. I'm sick of all the hype surrounding RVD. He's not as great as everyone says he is. He's just a punk with a bunch of flashy moves. Well, let me tell you something, RVD. You may have beaten me once, but it's not gonna happen again. I'm gonna make sure you regret ever stepping foot in a WCW ring. You're gonna pay for stealing my spotlight!"

Disco walks off, clearly worked up and angry about the situation. The camera pans out as he disappears down the hallway, leaving the viewers to ponder his words and wonder what he has in store for RVD.

Palumbo: "Let me tell you something, brother. Totally Buff, you may have been around a long time, but you're no match for the Natural Born Thrillers. We are the future of tag team wrestling."

O'Haire: "That's right. And at the Great American Bash, we're going to prove it. We're going to beat you down and retain our titles."

As they are speaking, Totally Buff (Buff Bagwell and Lex Luger) sneak up behind them and attack them with weapons. The crowd boos as Totally Buff beats down the Natural Born Thrillers with chairs and kendo sticks.

Bagwell: "You think you're so tough, huh? You think you can beat us at the Bash? Think again."

Luger: "We'll see you next week, boys."

The announcers express concern for the Natural Born Thrillers' health, questioning if they will be able to compete at the Great American Bash.

Hugh Morrus 2K.gifimage.pngShane Douglas 14.gif

Hugh Morrus vs Shane Douglas

The bell rings, and the match is underway. Morrus starts strong, hitting Douglas with a series of big punches and kicks. He backs Douglas into the corner and continues to pummel him with strikes. But Douglas fights back, dodging Morrus's attacks and hitting him with a low blow.

The crowd boos as Douglas takes control of the match, working Morrus over with a series of submission holds and strikes. Morrus tries to fight back, but Douglas is relentless, targeting Morrus's legs and back. He hits Morrus with a series of suplexes and slams, trying to wear him down.

Morrus manages to mount a comeback, hitting Douglas with a big clothesline and a leg drop. He goes for the pin, but Douglas kicks out at two. The two men trade blows, with Morrus hitting Douglas with a big powerbomb and Douglas responding with a piledriver.

The crowd boos as Douglas celebrates his victory, taunting Morrus as he leaves the ring.

The scene opens with DDP and Kevin Nash sitting in the locker room, both men seem relaxed. DDP begins to speak:

DDP: "Hey big man, we both know we don't have a match at The Great American Bash. So, I have an idea."

Nash: "What's on your mind, Diamond?"

DDP: "I was thinking, why not have a match between us for bragging rights?"

Nash smirks, clearly entertained by the idea.

Nash: "You want to take on Big Sexy? I'm all for it."

DDP: "That's what I'm talking about, man. It's settled then, you and me at The Great American Bash."

Nash stands up, towering over DDP.

Nash: "You better be ready, because I'm not holding back."

DDP stands up as well, coming face to face with Nash.

DDP: "Don't worry about me, Big Kev. I'll be ready."

The two shake hands before the camera fades to black.

Stasiak tries to mount some offense with a series of punches, but Goldberg no-sells them and hits a spear that nearly cuts Stasiak in half. Goldberg then signals for the end, and the crowd erupts in anticipation of the Jackhammer.

Goldberg hoists Stasiak up onto his shoulders, and the crowd counts along as he delivers the devastating Jackhammer. He goes for the cover, and the referee counts to three, giving Goldberg the victory.

Post-match, Goldberg celebrates in the ring as the crowd chants his name. He exits the ring and makes his way up the ramp, nodding to the fans as he goes.

After an ad break Eric Bischoff is in the ring with everything set-up for the contract signing:

Eric Bischoff: Ladies and gentlemen, please welcome your WCW World Heavyweight Champion, Booker T!

(The crowd erupts as Booker T walks out and takes a seat at the table.)

Eric Bischoff: And his challengers at the Great American Bash, Rey Mysterio Jr. and Jeff Jarrett!

(Rey and Jeff both come out and take a seat at the table.)

Eric Bischoff: Gentlemen, we are here tonight to make this match official by signing this contract. Booker, let's start with you.

(Booker signs the contract and slides it over to Rey.)

Rey Mysterio: (mixing Spanish and English) Gracias, Eric. Jeff, you and I, we go way back. I know how dangerous you are, but I'm ready for you at the Great American Bash. (Rey signs the contract and slides it to Jeff.)

Jeff Jarrett: (smirking) Oh, Rey. You have no idea what you're getting yourself into. But I'll let you and Booker have your little moment, because after the Great American Bash, I'll be the one standing tall with that title. (Jeff signs the contract and slides it back to Booker.)

(Booker looks at the contract, then stands up and gets in Jeff's face.)

Booker T: (commanding) You know what, Jeff? I'm sick and tired of your crap. You come out here every week, talking about how you're the chosen one, how you're going to take my title. Well, let me tell you something, Jeff. You're not taking anything from me. I'm a four-time WCW World Heavyweight Champion, and I'll be damned if I let you or anyone else take this title away from me.

(Jeff stands up and gets in Booker's face.)

Jeff Jarrett: (taunting) Oh, what are you gonna do about it, Booker? You gonna hit me? You gonna lose your cool like you always do?

(Booker shoves Jeff, and they start brawling. Rey tries to separate them, but he gets caught in the middle. Chaos ensues as officials try to break them up.)

Eric Bischoff: (yelling) Get security out here! We need to restore order!

(The brawl spills out of the ring and into the backstage area. Chairs are thrown, tables are overturned. O'Haire and Palumbo, still selling their injuries from earlier, watch from a safe distance.)

(As the chaos dies down, Rey is left standing tall in the middle of the ring with the WCW World Heavyweight Championship at his feet.)

(The show ends with the image of Rey holding the title above his head, as the announcers speculate on what this could mean for the Great American Bash.)

Spoiler

The latest wrestling show was a huge letdown, and fans are rightfully disappointed. With lackluster matches and predictable outcomes, it's clear that something needs to change. In fact, it's time for the wrestling promotion to take a hard look at the person responsible for booking this event and consider firing them.

From CM Punk's lackluster victory over Jim Duggan to Samoa Joe's forgettable win over Mike Sanders, many of the matches were underwhelming and failed to capture the excitement that fans crave. Even the tag team match between Team Canada and the Jung Dragons, which had the potential to be a highlight of the night, fell flat and lacked any real excitement.

Kid Ego's win over Jamie Knoble was nothing special, and Shane Douglas' victory over Hugh Morrus was lackluster at best. Even the main event between Goldberg and Shawn Stasiak, which had the potential to be a showstopper, failed to deliver the kind of excitement and energy that fans were hoping for.

It's clear that the person responsible for booking this event didn't put much thought or effort into creating a compelling lineup of matches. Fans deserve better than this, and if the promotion wants to keep its audience engaged and excited, it needs to make some changes.

In conclusion, it's time for the wrestling promotion to take action and fire the booker responsible for this lackluster event. Only then can they hope to regain the trust and loyalty of their fans, and deliver the kind of exciting and unforgettable shows that they deserve.

Konnan vs Shane Douglas (c)

Dave Penzer: The following contest is scheduled for one fall and it is for the WCW United States Heavyweight Championship!

("Natural Born Killaz" by Dr. Dre & Ice Cube hits and Konnan makes his way to the ring to a big pop from the crowd.)

Dave Penzer: Introducing first, the challenger, from Mexico City, Mexico, weighing in at 230 pounds, Konnan!

("Perfect Strangers" by Deep Purple plays and Shane Douglas makes his way to the ring to a chorus of boos from the crowd.)

Dave Penzer: And his opponent, from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, weighing in at 242 pounds, he is the WCW United States Heavyweight Champion, Shane Douglas!

(The referee holds up the United States Championship belt for all to see before calling for the bell.)

(Both men circle each other in the ring, looking for an opening. Konnan takes the first shot, but Douglas ducks out of the way and lands a hard right hand to the side of Konnan's head.)

Tony Schiavone: And we're underway here at The Great American Bash! Shane Douglas defending his United States Championship against Konnan.

Bobby Heenan: This is going to be a war, Tony! Both of these men are tough as nails and they're not afraid to get down and dirty.

Mike Tenay: And let's not forget the history between these two. They have a long-standing rivalry that goes back many years.

(Konnan takes control of the match early, using his speed and agility to his advantage. He hits a series of high-flying moves and even manages to lock Douglas in a submission hold.)

Tony Schiavone: Konnan is on fire right now! He's got Shane Douglas reeling.

Bobby Heenan: But don't count out the Franchise just yet. He's a crafty veteran and he knows how to turn things around in a hurry.

(Douglas eventually manages to turn the tide of the match, using his power to wear down Konnan. He hits a devastating belly-to-belly suplex and follows it up with a top rope elbow drop.)

Mike Tenay: What a move by Shane Douglas! He could have Konnan right where he wants him.

Tony Schiavone: This could be it, folks! Douglas is going for the cover!

(1...2...kickout!)

Bobby Heenan: Oh my goodness, Konnan kicks out at the last second!

(Douglas looks frustrated, but he quickly regains his composure and goes for the kill. He hits Konnan with his finisher, the Pittsburgh Plunge, and goes for the cover.)

Mike Tenay: It's over, Tony! Shane Douglas has retained his United States Championship!

(1...2...3!)

Dave Penzer: Here is your winner and still the WCW United States Heavyweight Champion, Shane Douglas!

("Perfect Strangers" plays again as the referee hands Douglas his championship belt. He raises it high in the air as the crowd boos him.)

Kid Romeo: "Come on now, don't be hatin'!"

Evan Karagias: "We've got a brand new song to perform for you tonight!"

3 Count:
"Oh baby, baby, we're the boys in town,
Our moves are smooth, our voices sound,
We're here to rock this place all night,
So get ready to dance and feel the light!"

[Crowd boos loudly as the song ends. Suddenly, Goldberg's music hits and he makes his way to the stage]

Kid Ego: "Hey, Goldberg! You wanna join us and sing a tune?"

[Goldberg pauses for a moment before attacking 3 Count. He hits a spear on each member before exiting the stage as the crowd erupts in cheers]

Crowd: "Goldberg! Goldberg! Goldberg!"

Ernest Miller vs. Kanyon

Ernest Miller makes his way to the ring accompanied by a dancing entourage to the tune of "I'm the Greatest!" by Ernest Miller himself.

Kanyon comes out to "Who Betta Than Kanyon?" by Kanyon. He displays strange behavior throughout the entrance, including throwing his trademark "Who Betta Than Kanyon?" sign into the crowd.

The match begins, with Miller initially dominating. However, Kanyon takes control after some underhanded tactics, including shaving Miller's head with an electric razor behind the referee's back.

In the end, Kanyon picks up the victory over Miller after hitting the Flatliner. As he celebrates, Kanyon continues to display odd behavior, muttering to himself and staring off into space.

The announcers speculate on what could be going on with Kanyon as he leaves the ring, still muttering to himself.
After the match, Kanyon continues to beat down on The Cat before grabbing a microphone. He screams that he is the innovator of offense and nobody can beat him. Suddenly, he stops and begins to hit himself in the head repeatedly, seemingly hurting himself on purpose. The Cat is slow to recover as Kanyon staggers away, clutching his head in pain.

Hayabusa vs Shane Helms (c)

The lights go out, and the sound of a motorcycle engine revving up can be heard. Suddenly, the lights come back on, and the Cruiserweight Champion, Shane Helms, is seen sitting on a motorcycle at the top of the ramp, with the championship belt around his waist. He revs the engine again before slowly driving down to the ring.

Hayabusa's music hits, and the Japanese sensation enters the arena to a thunderous applause from the fans. He does a few flips and acrobatic moves on the way to the ring, showing off his impressive agility.

The referee holds up the Cruiserweight Championship belt for all to see before handing it to the timekeeper. The bell rings, and the match is underway.

Hayabusa starts off the match strong, hitting a series of kicks and punches on Helms. Helms is able to counter with some quick moves of his own, but Hayabusa stays on top, hitting a beautiful moonsault from the top rope.

The match goes back and forth, with both competitors getting near falls. Hayabusa hits a springboard hurricanrana on Helms, but Helms is able to kick out at two. Helms counters with a Vertebreaker, but Hayabusa kicks out at the last second.

In the end, Helms is able to hit the Nightmare on Helms Street for the win. He is exhausted but retains his Cruiserweight Championship.

After the match, Hayabusa extends his hand to Helms in a show of respect, and Helms accepts the gesture, shaking his opponent's hand.

The fans give both competitors a standing ovation as they exit the ring. Helms celebrates with his championship belt as he walks up the ramp, while Hayabusa takes one final bow for the fans before heading backstage.

The camera cuts to the announcers, who are in awe of the match they just witnessed, praising both competitors for their incredible performance.

After the match, Hayabusa is leaving the ring when Chavo Guerrero Jr. attacks him from behind, hitting him with a steel chair. Chavo Jr. continues to assault Hayabusa, hitting him with several chair shots and leaving him lying in the ring. The crowd boos as Chavo Jr. taunts Hayabusa and raises his arms in victory.

Dustin Rhodes is standing backstage with Sting and Samoa Joe behind him. He looks serious and focused as he prepares to deliver a promo about Ric Flair.

Dustin Rhodes: "Ric Flair, you and I have a long and storied history in this business. You were one of my father's greatest rivals, and you and Sting have had your fair share of battles over the years. But tonight, it's about more than just our past. It's about the present and the future of WCW."

[Sting and Samoa Joe nod in agreement]

Dustin Rhodes: "You see, Project Prodigy is about ridding this company of negative influences, like you Ric. You represent everything that's wrong with this business. You're selfish, egotistical, and you only care about yourself. But tonight, I'm going to show you that there's a new breed of wrestler in WCW, one that puts the fans first, one that puts the company first, and one that puts respect first."

[Sting and Samoa Joe raise their fists in solidarity]

Dustin Rhodes: "You may have beaten my father, you may have beaten Sting, but tonight, you're going to face the new face of WCW, and I guarantee you, Ric, you're going to regret ever crossing me."

[Dustin looks directly into the camera, a fire burning in his eyes]

Dustin Rhodes: "Tonight, Ric, it's personal."

Kevin Nash 1.gifimage.pngDDP 8.gif

Kevin Nash vs Diamond Dallas Page

As the camera pans over the excited crowd, the entrance music of Kevin Nash, "Wolfpac Theme” by C-Murder, blasts through the arena, eliciting a huge ovation from the fans. Nash strides out confidently, high-fiving fans on his way down to the ring. Diamond Dallas Page's theme music, "Self High-Five" by DDP himself, starts to play as the crowd continues to cheer.

Tony Schiavone: "And here we go, folks! It's time for the big match of the night, Kevin Nash versus Diamond Dallas Page!"

Bobby Heenan: "I can't believe we're about to see two of the biggest names in WCW go head-to-head tonight! This is gonna be a slobberknocker, Tony!"

Mike Tenay: "You said it, Bobby. These two friends are gonna have to put their personal relationship aside if they want to win tonight."

The bell rings, and the two men circle each other warily, each looking for an opening. The fans cheer loudly as the two wrestlers lock up, testing each other's strength. They jockey for position for a few moments before Nash takes control, pushing DDP back into the corner.

Nash looks like he's about to strike, but he pauses, giving DDP a chance to break free. The two men exchange punches, each one connecting solidly. The crowd is on their feet, cheering both wrestlers on.

As the match wears on, both men start to show signs of wear and tear. Nash seems to be getting the better of DDP, but Page refuses to give up. He fights back with everything he's got, managing to hit a Diamond Cutter out of nowhere.

Tony Schiavone: "Diamond Cutter! Diamond Cutter! This could be it!"

But Nash kicks out at two and a half, much to the crowd's disappointment. DDP looks frustrated, but he doesn't give up. He keeps coming at Nash, hitting him with every move in his arsenal.

Finally, after an intense back-and-forth battle, Nash hits a Jackknife Powerbomb on DDP, and the referee counts to three.

Tony Schiavone: "It's over! Kevin Nash has won!"

The crowd cheers as Nash gets to his feet, looking exhausted but happy. He helps DDP up, and the two men hug in the middle of the ring.

Bobby Heenan: "What a match! That was incredible!"

Mike Tenay: "It certainly was, Bobby. Both men gave it everything they had, but in the end, Nash was just a little bit stronger."

As Nash makes his way back up the ramp, the fans continue to cheer, clearly impressed by both wrestlers' performances.

Tony Schiavone: Welcome back to The Great American Bash, live from the sold-out Cow Palace in San Francisco, California! I'm Tony Schiavone, and with me tonight are my colleagues, the legendary Bobby "The Brain" Heenan and the knowledgeable Mike Tenay.

Bobby Heenan: That's right, Tony, and tonight we've got a stacked card with some of the best talent in the world competing for WCW gold!

Mike Tenay: That's right, Bobby. We've already seen some incredible matches tonight, including Kanyon's victory over Ernest Miller and Shane Helms retaining his Cruiserweight title against the legendary Hayabusa.

Tony Schiavone: And coming up next, we've got the Natural Born Thrillers defending their World Tag Team titles against the experienced duo of Totally Buff.

Bobby Heenan: You know, Tony, I've been keeping an eye on these young Thrillers, and they've been impressive so far. But can they hold off the veteran team of Lex Luger and Buff Bagwell?

Mike Tenay: And let's not forget about our main event, where Booker T will defend his World Heavyweight title against two challengers, Jeff Jarrett and the high-flying Rey Mysterio Jr.

Tony Schiavone: It's going to be a tough challenge for Booker T, who has been an impressive champion so far. But with two hungry challengers on his tail, can he hold on to that coveted championship?

Bobby Heenan: I can't wait to find out, Tony. It's going to be an exciting night of WCW action!

Tony Schiavone: "Here we go, folks, it's time for our WCW World Tag Team Championship match! Natural Born Thrillers defending their titles against Totally Buff!"

Mike Tenay: "This should be a great match, Tony. We know that Luger and Bagwell have been trying to get their hands on those tag team titles for a long time."

Bobby Heenan: "But let's not forget that Natural Born Thrillers are a tough team. They've been dominant in the tag team division for a while now."

(The music of Totally Buff hits, and Luger and Bagwell make their way to the ring)

Tony Schiavone: "And here come the challengers, Lex Luger and Buff Bagwell. They look focused, but will they be able to overcome the champions?"

Mike Tenay: "It won't be easy, Tony. Natural Born Thrillers have been on a roll lately. But you never know in this business."

Bobby Heenan: "Absolutely, Mike. Anything can happen in WCW, especially with these two teams."

(The match begins and it's a back and forth affair, with both teams showcasing their strengths. At one point, Bagwell inadvertently hits Luger with a clothesline, leading to some miscommunication between the two. O'Haire takes advantage of the situation and hits Luger with the Seanton Bomb, pinning him for the win)

Tony Schiavone: "Natural Born Thrillers did it again! They've retained their tag team titles!"

Mike Tenay: "And what a match it was, Tony. Both teams put on a great show tonight."

Bobby Heenan: "But it looks like Totally Buff is not happy with each other right now. That miscommunication may have cost them the match."

(Luger and Bagwell start arguing in the ring, and the announcers continue to discuss the aftermath)

Tony Schiavone: "Looks like there's some tension between Luger and Bagwell after that loss."

Mike Tenay: "They've been together for a long time, but sometimes even the best of friends can have a disagreement."

Bobby Heenan: "Well, one thing is for sure, Natural Born Thrillers are still the champions. And they've proven tonight that they're a force to be reckoned with."

[The screen fades in and we see Dustin Rhodes in a gym, lifting weights and doing various exercises. The upbeat song "All Star" by Smash Mouth plays in the background.]

Dustin Rhodes (voiceover): "This is what it takes to be a champion. Hard work, dedication, and sacrifice. I've been training for weeks to face Ric Flair, and I'm ready. I want to prove to everyone that I'm not just Dusty Rhodes' son, but a great wrestler in my own right."

[The montage shows Dustin doing various exercises and drills, including punching a heavy bag, running on a treadmill, and practicing holds in the ring. The song continues to play as the montage ends with Dustin striking a pose in the ring, sweating and breathing heavily.]

Dustin Rhodes (to the camera): "I'm going to give it my all tonight. Ric Flair is a legend, but he's also a symbol of everything that's wrong with WCW. Project Prodigy is here to change that, and I'm going to lead the charge. So tonight, when I step in that ring, I'm not just fighting for myself, I'm fighting for WCW."

[The screen fades to black as the music ends.]

Dustin Rhodes vs Ric Flair

The opening chords of Dustin Rhodes' WCW entrance theme begin to play, and the arena goes dark. A spotlight shines down on the entrance ramp, revealing the silhouette of the "American Nightmare" as he steps out onto the stage. He surveys the crowd before striding confidently down to the ring.

As Rhodes enters the ring, the camera pans over to the announce team, who provide some background on the long-standing rivalry between Rhodes and Flair.

The match begins with Flair and Rhodes exchanging a series of technical holds and reversals, each trying to gain the upper hand. Flair resorts to dirty tactics, raking Rhodes' eyes and pulling his hair, but Rhodes fights back with a flurry of punches and kicks.

Rhodes hits Flair with a running bulldog, followed by a vertical suplex, and the crowd erupts in cheers. But Flair is a wily veteran, and he soon turns the tables, targeting Rhodes' knee and weakening it with a series of leg locks.

Despite the pain, Rhodes refuses to give up, and he rallies with a series of clotheslines and a big boot to the face. He goes for a pin, but Flair kicks out at two.

In the closing moments of the match, Flair locks in the Figure Four Leglock, and Rhodes struggles to break free. The referee asks if Rhodes wants to give up, but he grits his teeth and shakes his head, refusing to quit.

Rhodes tries to turn the hold over, but Flair holds on, and eventually, Rhodes has no choice but to tap out.

Flair is declared the winner, but the fans continue to cheer for Rhodes as he slowly makes his way back up the ramp, his head held high. The camera focuses on Rhodes as he stands at the top of the ramp, looking out over the cheering crowd.

As the referee raises Flair's hand in victory, the Nature Boy demands a microphone from the ringside crew.

Flair: "Wooooo! There is no one, and I mean no one, who can match the Nature Boy in this ring! Dustin Rhodes, you may be a great wrestler, but you could never be in the same league as me! And speaking of legends, I can't help but think of a certain Stinger."

The crowd cheers as Flair continues.

Flair: "Sting, you and I have been at it for decades, and it looks like we're bound to do this forever. You can send all the kids you want, but they'll never be able to take me down. Face it, Sting, you're just not the man you used to be."

The crowd boos as Flair drops the microphone and exits the ring, strutting up the ramp with a grin on his face.

The camera cuts backstage to Mean Gene standing by with Booker T, the WCW World Heavyweight Champion.

Mean Gene: Booker T, in just a few moments, you will be defending your WCW World Heavyweight Championship against Rey Mysterio and Jeff Jarrett. What are your thoughts heading into this match?

Booker T: Mean Gene, let me tell you something. Nobody thought I could become the champion. Nobody believed in me. But I fought hard, and I overcame all the trials and tribulations that came my way. And tonight, I'm not letting anyone take this championship away from me.

Mean Gene: Strong words, Booker. What can we expect from you tonight in the ring?

Booker T: You can expect the same thing you always get from me, Mean Gene. The best. I'm going to show Rey and Jeff why I am the champion, why I'm on top of the mountain. And when it's all said and done, I'll still be standing here with this championship around my waist. Can you dig that, sucka?

Booker T walks away, leaving Mean Gene to ponder what's to come in the highly-anticipated main event.

Mike Tenay: "Rey Mysterio Jr. looking to become a two-time World Champion here tonight."

Bobby Heenan: "Booker T has held the WCW World Heavyweight Championship for three months, can he continue his reign tonight?"

("Chosen One" hits as Jeff Jarrett makes his way to the ring)

Tony Schiavone: "Here comes the self-proclaimed 'Chosen One', Jeff Jarrett."

(The bell rings and the match starts)

Mike Tenay: "And here we go, this match is underway!"

(Booker T and Rey Mysterio Jr. start the match with Jeff Jarrett rolling out of the ring. The two exchange some fast-paced moves before Jarrett comes back in and starts to take control. The match goes back and forth with all three competitors getting some big moves in.)

Bobby Heenan: "This match is just insane, these guys are leaving it all in the ring!"

(Towards the end of the match, Booker T hits the Book End on Jarrett and goes for the cover. Before the referee can make the count, Ric Flair comes out to the entrance ramp and starts to taunt Booker T)

Tony Schiavone: "What's Ric Flair doing out here?"

Mike Tenay: "This can't be good."

(As Booker T is distracted, Jeff Jarrett recovers and hits the Stroke on Rey Mysterio Jr. and pins him for the win.)

Tony Schiavone: "NO! Jeff Jarrett has won the WCW World Heavyweight Championship!"

Bobby Heenan: "Thanks to Ric Flair, that wasn't fair from Flair!"

(Jarrett celebrates with the belt as Booker T and Rey Mysterio Jr. lay in the ring, disappointed. The show ends with Jarrett and Flair standing tall at the entrance ramp.)

Uhm... deixa ver...

Btw, tinha pensado fazer aqui uma coisa diferente... após o ppv ter uma espécie de conferência de imprensa pós PPV 😄.

Portanto, @Almeno, @Jamarcus, @Ruas, @lastdance@Pedro_Y2J, estou aberto a perguntas...

Tens planos a longo prazo? Género, sabes qual é o main-event do Starrcade?

Numa cena mais técnica, quantos minutos dás a estes segmentos? Eu nos meus bookings meteria tudo junto num, e daria uns 10. Dá para menos detalhe nos nomes dos segmentos, obviamente.

Ora vamos lá...

Citação de Almeno, Em 03/05/2023 at 09:37:

O Rey foi só para comer o pin nesta feud, ou será um push para manter?

O Rey entrou nesta feud por dois motivos:

  • Se a WCW sobrevivesse, acho que uma das primeiras coisas que teria que fazer era passar uma mensagem de que o produto ia ser diferente, e colocar o Rey no main-event seria uma forma clara de o fazer;

Quem consideras o teu nº1 guy? O Booker ou o JJ?

Depende muito do que queres dizer com n. 1 guy... No momento? O Jarrett.

Tens planos a longo prazo? Género, sabes qual é o main-event do Starrcade?
