A Imprensa inglesa revela que o treinador do Manchester United, David Moyes, surpreendeu na entrega da lista para a nova época, isto porque a camisola número sete, que já pertenceu a Cristiano Ronaldo, não foi entregue a nenhum jogador.

 

De acordo com o Daily Mail, Antonio Valencia, que na época passada utilizou o número sete, irá esta temporada envergar o número 25.

 

Esta situação vem aumentar os rumores do treinador David Moyes ainda sonhar com a possibilidade de Cristiano Ronaldo (Real Madrid) regressar a Old Trafford.

Apesar das inúmeras notícias que apontam para a recusa de Wayne Rooney em jogar, alegadamente porque pretende rumar ao Chelsea, o treinador do Manchester United, David Moyes, continua a insistir na ideia que o jogador está a recuperar de lesão no ombro.

 

Rooney foi a ausência mais notada no jogo deste domingo frente ao Wigan, que o Manchester United venceu por 2-0 e conquistou a Community Shield (equivalente à Supertaça).

 

No final, o treinador dos red devils acabou bombardeado com questões sobre o avançado, esclarecendo em primeiro lugar: «Não discuti com ele. Foi treinar-se com a equipa de reservas porque pediu.»

 

«Esteve a recuperar de lesão no ombro e ainda não tem condições para jogar, pois só fez 45 minutos durante esta pré-época [com o Betis, à porta fechada]», prosseguiu o sucessor de Alex Ferguson no comando do Man. United.

 

Apesar da situação, Rooney foi convocado para representar a seleção inglesa, que na próxima quarta-feira defronta a Escócia em encontro particular. «Espero que ele possa jogar, pois seria bom para o Manchester United que ele tivesse minutos para recuperar ritmo. Não estava em condições para jogar hoje, mas é possível que na quarta o possa fazer», disse.
